Incorporating 11 local government partners, industry membership and a partnership with Tourism Tasmania and the Department of State Growth.
Our region features some of Tasmania’s great icons, as well as many of the hidden treasures and bespoke experiences that allow visitors to recharge, reconnect and ‘come down for air’. It’s our job to help tourism businesses deliver the best possible experience and to help visitors unearth those treasures.

Paint The Town Red 2024
Monday 10th – Sunday 30th June 2024
Destination Southern Tasmania encourages local businesses to light up red between the 10th and 30th June 2024 to extend, highlight and participate in the Dark Mofo Presents Winter 2024 Event.
Participating businesses will be highlighted on the Paint The Town Red digital map and listed on the Dark Mofo and Hobart and Beyond websites.

The 2024 Tasmanian Tourism Showcase will feature over 100 Tourism operators from across the state.
This year’s events will expand to a state-wide focus and include a consumer-focused day. It will bring together Tasmanian tourism operators and the community to showcase the variety of products and the regions in which they operate.
