Organisation
All departments of the school, follow
the National Curriculum as prescribed by the Department for Education in
England and Wales. Spanish Language and Sociales are also studied from Year
1 onwards, to comply with Spanish Ministry of Education requirements.
The organisation of the compulsory years of schooling up to the age of 16 years, is divided into four "Key Stages". At the end of each "Key Stage" up to KS 3, standardised attainment tests (SAT's) are taken in the three core subjects: English, Mathematics and Science (English and Mathematics only at KS 1). At the end of Key Stage 4 all students sit for their IGCSE's in a minimum of seven different subjects.
The pre-university course lasts two years and students will usually study
three subjects in depth at advanced level. With three good "A" level passes
students can enter directly into university.
