Tenerife Reina Sofia Airport Transfers by Taxi
Tenerife South Airport is well positioned nearby many of the most popular holiday resort areas, and is fully equipped to meet the needs of all its passengers. Transport services from the airport include by taxi, and although more expensive than the bus services, a taxi is often a very popular means of travelling on the island.
Taxi Tenerife offers professional taxi services from Tenerife South Airport, and have a taxi rank just on the east side of the terminal building. Arriving passengers will have no trouble in locating the taxi rank, as there is just a single terminal at the airport, and all facilities are well signposted. There are two baggage reclaim areas, each with seven baggage carousels from where luggage is collected, and once arrival procedures are complete, passengers can go directly to the taxi rank in order to arrange their transport. Taxis are always available at Tenerife South Airport, therefore there is no need to pre-book a taxi service. However, passengers who would like to reserve a taxi, can contact the following numbers: 922 397 074 or 922 397 475. There is also an email address for the official taxi company at the airport, info@officialtaxitenerife. com, or a website, from where customers can view their services at www.officialtaxitenerife.com.
Taxi Tenerife has over 35 years of experience in providing customers with a safe and reliable means of transport on the island of Tenerife, and is one of the most valued radio-taxi companies available on the Canary Islands. Their fleet consists of 170 vehicles, and they have over 340 employees. Their office is also found at Tenerife South Airport, in the arrivals area, and is open from 09:00 to 21:00, Monday to Sunday.
Passengers using the services of Taxi Tenerife may also request the use of a child seat for the journey to their destination. This is one of the company’s special services provided, at no extra cost to the customer. Disabled passengers are also welcome to use the taxis at Tenerife South Airport, as special cars that are adapted for persons in wheelchairs are provided. Keep in mind however, that the special services offered by Taxi Tenerife are subject to availability. Passengers with reduced mobility challenges will find the terminal at Tenerife South Airport to be fully accessible as well, with adequate toilet facilities, pavement ramps and elevators. All other facilities such as telephones, Internet connections and help desks are also usually accessible to wheelchair users.
Tenerife South Airport taxis are available for any number of passengers between one and eight, as Taxi Tenerife provides vehicles that vary in size. The office of the company will ensure that a taxi suitable for your needs is on its way if there is not one of adequate size upon your arrival at the airport. Passengers who are travelling in larger groups from the airport may wish to book a private transfer rather than a taxi, as these companies can often offer transport for a greater number of people. Private transfers are also quite similar in price to a taxi, and many passengers actually find them to be slightly less expensive. These services must be reserved in advance of your arrival at Tenerife South Airport.
Taxis in Tenerife usually operate on a metered system, which means that they are equipped with a device that records the number of kilometers traveled on the journey. The taxi fare is then calculated accordingly. Passengers in a taxi are entitled to ensure that the meter device is turned on and in working condition, and may also discuss the average price for the journey before leaving the airport. Although the majority of taxi drivers are considered to be honest and friendly, especially from a respected company such as Taxi Tenerife, it is recommended to try and find out the average price of your journey beforehand, so that you can be aware if the driver is overcharging, or if the rate he offers sounds unreasonable. Keep in mind that taxi fares are more expensive during weekdays from ten at night to six in the morning, as well as all day during holidays.
From Tenerife South Airport, a taxi ride to Granadilla will be approximately €13.00, to El Médano about €10.00 and to the popular holiday resort of Playa de las Américas, €21. 00. Some of the best beaches on the island of Tenerife can be found at Los Christianos, and a taxi trip to this area will cost around €19.00. Areas towards the north of the island include Santa Cruz de Tenerife – €62.00, La Laguna – €66.00 and Puerto de la Cruz – €90.00. The nice thing about Tenerife is that it is not that large of an area, and a taxi can be used to reach any destination. The prices shown are examples of the weekday taxi rates.
Passengers travelling to or from Tenerife South Airport will find the taxis to be one of the most convenient transport services available. By taxi is also the quickest way to get to your next destination.
Reina Sofia Airport. Aeropuerto de Tenerife Sur Reina Sofia (Tenerife South Airport Reina Sofia)
If you are planning to go to Tenerife, it will be useful to know that there are two airports on the island. Airports in Tenerife are at a decent distance from each other, one in the northern part of the island, and the other in the south.

At the end of the sixties, the administration of the island of Tenerife planned the construction of a new airport in the south of the island, since the then existing airport of Los Rodeos or the northern airport – TFN, did not meet the technical requirements due to adverse weather conditions.
There are quite a few assumptions about miscalculations during the construction of the northern airport, one of which is connected with maps of Nazi Germany. You can learn more about it from our guides.
In 1977, the TFS airport control tower was completed, as well as the terminal building and takeoff runways. opened a

March 27, 1977 there was a terrible tragedy known to the whole world, the largest plane crash in terms of the number of victims occurred. Two Boeing 747s collided on the takeoff runway in foggy conditions. 583 people died. This catastrophe served as the basis for revising the principle of takeoff and landing of all aircraft around the world.
The airport has only one runway with a length of 3170 meters, the surface is asphalt. The airport is a transport hub for inter-island communications, from there flights are operated to Europe, South America, but the busiest route is Tenerife – Gran Canaria (an average of 40 flights per day).
The new terminal was opened in 2003. The complex includes a car park, freeway ramps, and a four-story terminal building with 12 gates. The terminal is equipped with six air bridges. The airport regained its International status when flights to Caracas began. Domestic flights between the islands were resumed in 2005.

The convenient location of the air hub allows you to quickly get to the main resorts of the island. The Island’s Heaven’s Gate is 66 km from Santa Cruz. They serve the main flow of flights from Europe and America.
Tenerife North Airport, also called Los Rodeos, is mainly used to serve flights within the country. It is located closest to the capital of the island of Santa Cruz, they are separated by a distance of 14 km. Baggage must be checked in at the airport at a separate drop-off check-in counter. If you are unable to print your boarding pass, you can get it at the regular check-in desk of the airline, and check in and check in your luggage there.

What to do if the flight is canceled

If none of the options offered by the airline suits you, most airlines can issue a “forced refund”. After confirmation by the airline, the money will be returned to your account. Sometimes this may take several weeks.

Barcelona Airport El Prat – Rent a car in Spain from 29€
General Information
One of the advantages is that Barcelona Airport is close to the city center, about 14 kilometers away. In particular, it is located in the city of El Prat de Llobregat, hence the name of the airport. El Prat Airport is the second largest in the country, after Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport. Passenger turnover is more than 39million passengers a year and is one of the 30 busiest airports in the world.
There are several options for transport from the airport around Barcelona: rent a car, taxi, bus, metro (L9) or train.
Airport
Vueling is the main base of operations at the airport. Barcelona’s busiest route is the “Airlift” (Airlift or Puente Aéreo in Spanish), which connects Barcelona and Madrid and is the most visited air bridge in the world. There are currently three airlines that operate continuously throughout the year with direct flights: Iberia, Air Europa and Vueling. Companies with more frequent flights are Vueling (about 10 per day) and Iberia (about 12 per day).
The arrival of the high speed train (AVE) has reduced the number of daily flights between Barcelona and Madrid, but the air service between the two cities is still the most used.
Leaving aside the many improvements that have been made at El Prat Airport in recent years, there are still plans for the future. In addition to the two existing terminals (T1 and T2), there are plans to build an additional space called T1 T1 (Terminal Satellite). This terminal will be capable of handling 25 million passengers a year, but the project is currently on hold as the two existing terminals already cover existing demand for flights.
