  A good demonstration of what Aloe Vera is. Very nice staff, ready to answer your questions. There is also a shop, selling diverse products made of Aloe Vera. The prices seem a bit high.

  Good place to visit on your trip to Fuerteventura. They give you (and your group) an interesting demonstration about how Aloe Vera is being prepared. They also tell you about the health benefits of the Aloe Vera. You can later on buy their products in their shop ( their products are ORGANIC! )

  We got a really personal demonstration about the power of aloë vera. This piece was cut for our personally. We then got to try the real transparent gelo like inside of this aloë vera plant. All in all a great experience of this pure biological an sustainable aloë vera center.

What to expect

Fuerteventura may be famed for its beaches but head inland and you’ll find a different vibe. Slow down and enjoy the island’s rural side on this small group tour. You’ll take in colonial churches in whitewashed villages, discover the secrets of aloe vera and try the famous local goat’s cheese. Yurena, one of our local guides, says, ‘The cheese tasting is my favourite part of this tour. We’re so proud of our majorero cheese. It’s made with pure, top-quality milk, which is perfect for making cheese because of its high fat and protein content. Our goats love this island, and their milk shows how happy they are to live here.’

First up, you’ll head to an aloe vera plantation to learn about the amazing properties of this typical local product. It’s great for sunburn but it has other benefits, too. Then it’s time to explore Pajara and admire the church with its Aztec-looking façade. After a photo stop at Las Peñitas viewpoint, the fishing village of Ajuy is next. Take a stroll to check out the sea caves nearby.

Heading into the western hills, you’ll discover beautiful Betancuria next. You’d never know it was the island’s first capital – these days it’s just a sleepy village. Call in at St Mary’s Church to admire the intricate carved wooden ceiling and altarpiece. Next, you’ll tuck into a traditional lunch at Valle de Santa Ines before visiting a goat farm renowned for its cheeses. Here you’ll sample majorero together with a selection of other local delicacies such as honey rum liqueur.
