Fuerteventura Waterpark

Fuerteventura Waterpark

Baku Water Park is one of the best-known
family tourist attractions in Corralejo on the island ofFuertaventura and is often referred
to as ‘Fuerteventura Water Park’ as it’s a key tourist attraction
and only water park on the island. It is the perfect destination
for all the family to have some safe, watery fun against the
backdrop of brightly-coloured plastic slides, sunshine, blue skies
and tropical gardens. The water park guarantees endless hours of
amusement and entertainment, both in and out of the water.

Key attractions at Baku Water Park are the six main slides
including the ‘kamikaze’, ‘rio rapido’, ‘splash race’ and ‘black
hole’ for those seeking plenty of speed and even more splash! Most
of the slides are multi-lane so that queuing is kept to a minimum.
They’ve obviously got it right as you rarely hear reports of
queuing or overcrowding – in fact quite the opposite. There are
also numerous gentle options and mini versions of the main slides
for younger family members, such as ‘mini splash race’ and ‘mini
kamikaze’.  A massive Jacuzzi, lazy river, wave pool,
waterfalls, rope crossings and dedicated kids area in ‘The Castle’
ensure that all the family are catered for – both weak and strong
swimmers – and with sun loungers in the sunbathing area of the park
you can watch the world go by or top up you tan in relative peace
and quiet.

This Fuerteventura water park is
substantial and won’t disappoint – it has more than 20 activities
on-site as well as a self-service food area, food kiosks and
medical services and lifeguards for peace of mind. Whilst there’s
enough entertainment here to easily fill a day, the park offers
reduced entry rates for afternoon-only visitors, worth knowing
about if you’ve only got a few hours to spend here. It’s also worth
highlighting that children under three currently go free. Check out
the Baku Water Park
Fuerteventura website for all the latest information on
prices and entry at bakufuerteventura.

There’s also a full 18-hole, par-67 mini golf course
at Baku Water Park called Minigolf
Fantasy for all those budding golfers, who’d rather pitch and put
than splash and swim. In addition to all theFuerteventura
water park
fun, you’ll also find Baku Mercadillo, an
arts and crafts street market open from 9am to 2pm on Mondays and
Fridays throughout the summer season – a great place to stock up on
treats and presents including souvenirs and t-shirts before flying
home.  Other themed areas within the Fuerteventura water park
include Parque Europa – an area of restaurants, bars, bowling and
golf – as well as the ‘Animal Experience’ with its life-sized
pirate galleon, underwater viewing galleries and ‘swimming with sea
lions’ attraction.

Over the peak summer months the Fuerteventura water park is open
daily from 10am to 6pm.  From mid-late September the park
closes for a couple of days mid week but remains open on all other
weekdays until the end of October making it a great addition to any
holiday to Fuerteventura.

Family-friendly Baku Water Park is
well located at the top of the main street in Corralejo town,
on the north of the island. It’s well serviced by a Baku water park
bus and also offers free parking if you’ve hired a car for your
Canary Islands holiday. Costa Caleta is around 40 minutes from
the water park in Fuerteventura and El
Cotillo is about 20 minutes – both an easy drive on good roads.

The Oasis Park Zoo in Fuerteventura is another great day out for
the whole family, they have one of the largest collection of camels
in europe.  We thoroughly recommend a day trip to Oasis
Park.
