WHERE IS PLAYA FLAMENCA?
Playa Flamenca is a small beach resort just south of Punta Prima and Torrevieja and north of La Zenia on the southern Orihuela Costa Blanca. One of the large developments in Playa Flamenca is the La Chismosa urbanisation and Las Calas urbanisation.
Playa Flamenca was created in 1972 by a group of Flemish investors which turned a deserted coastline and beaches into the popular, thriving holiday destination that it is today.
HOW TO GET TO PLAYA FLAMENCA
From Alicante airport, take the N332 road to Cartagena. Stay on this road for approximately 44Km, or 35 minutes, driving at normal speed. By-pass Santa Pola, La Marina, Guardamar, La Mata, Torrevieja, and Punta Prima. Pass through the next small roundabout, and you will be approaching a slip road to the right which is signposted for Playa Flamenca.
Playa Flamenca is ideally situated as it quite possible to go on holiday there without hiring a car, as one can easily get a Playa Flamenca airport transfer or catch a taxi from the airports and Playa Flamenca is one of the few towns on the Costa Blanca that offers a good bus service to Torrevieja and its surrounding towns and beaches.
