1. A day at Oasis Park
Oasis Park is the best day trips for kids while on holiday in Fuerteventura
Oasis Park is the only animal park on the island, but it is a very beautiful place and definitely worth a visit. The park is quite large and it will easily fill an entire day.
There are 3 shows available: one with parrots, one with sea lions and one with birds of prey.

Oasis Park is a really nice day out even for adults, but it’s definitely the best activity for kids in Fuerteventura and it will probably become their favorite day out of the entire holiday.

2. Take surfing lessons
Teenagers might be thrilled to try surfing for the first time in Fuerteventura
If your children are old enough to try surfing, kite surfing or maybe paddle boarding, then Fuerteventura is a great place for them to learn.
There are several surfing schools all around the island, so no matter where you decide to stay you will have access to one.
Sotavento Beach in the south of Fuerteventura is probably the most famous beach for surfing and kite surfing, due to the big lagoon where annually takes place the Fuerteventura Windsurfing Championship.
3. Go to Acua Park in Corralejo
There is only one water park in Fuerteventura, situated in Corralejo
Update 2020: the water park is closed for the rest of 2020, due to the pandemic. They announced they will reopen next year.
The Acua Park is situated in Corralejo, in the north of the island so it’s a very good idea if you’re staying nearby.
The park has some nice slides and one restaurant and you can easily spend at least half a day here. Although it’s not as big or thrilling as Siam Park in Tenerife, the Acua Park in Corralejo provides a day of entertainment for the kids and a day of relaxation for parents.
4. Go on a boat trip
The kids will love to go on a boat trip to see wild dolphins in Fuerteventura
Since you are on an island, you’ll find plenty of boat tours to choose from. While the boat trips can’t guarantee the fact that you will see dolphins in the wild, they do provide lovely views of the coast and you will probably enjoy it anyway.
And if you kids are passionate about fishing or they want to try something new, you could always opt for a fishing trip out on the ocean, or maybe even a trip to Los Lobos, where you can explore this small and uninhabited island on foot.

5. Swim with the sea lions in Caleta de Fuste
If your children love dolphins and sea lions, you can surprise them by booking an activity with Oceanarium Explorer in Caleta de Fuste. They have 2 resident sea lions and the kids would probably love to swim and interact with them.
6. Learn to fly a kite
A fun activity for children while on holiday in Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is famous for the trade winds that blow in summer, so why not take advantage of that?
You can bring a kite with you or you can buy one here and go on the west coast for the strongest winds. This could be a great activity that you can share with your kids and it will certainly be a lot of fun.
The great thing about flying kites is that it can be done anywhere on the island. It doesn’t take up much space and the kids will be occupied for at least one hour each day. A win-win situation for you and them!
Also, did you know that there is a Kite Festival in Fuerteventura each year, usually in November, on the dunes near Corralejo?
7. Try an escape room or go karting

El Molina de Antigua, or The Old Mill
At the Old Mill children are amazed by the intricate engineering of an enormous structure.
They will stare in wonder at the machinery. In the past this mill was used to grind cereal in order to make the special Canary Islands flour called gofio. The old mill, easily reached by car, is close to the beautiful town of Antigua. A history museum is within close distance to the mill. It allows visitors to discover more about the peasants who used to inhabit Fuerteventura. This exhibition space is a great location for children to educate themselves about the past.

Corralejo Water Park
This water park will be an instant hit with the kids. There are many slides and other attractions designed to cater to every taste. The children’s play area has an extensive repertoire of water based entertainment facilities. There is a wave pool, a giant Jacuzzi, an artificial river, slides, and a cave.

The Corralejo Dunes
For a desert experience the Dunes of Corralejo, located in the Corralejo Natural Park, can’t be missed.
Views of the dunes do wonders to the imagination (and get loads of likes on Instagram). All the family will be able to feel the undulating sandy desert floor between their toes then take a dip in the crystal clear waters of the nearby beaches.

The Ajuy Caves
The Ajuy caves are a fascinating experience on Fuerteventura. They can be reached from the small town of Ajuy which is part of the Betancuria Rural Park. The caves, surrounded by a black sandy beach, are free to access. The rocks that make up the caves are of great geological importance. They are some of the oldest in the archipelago and contain precious marine fossils. The caves are a great spot to start telling your children the story of how the earth was made millions of years ago. Ajuy is also a good location for eating out and contains several notable restaurants.

Excursion to the small island of Lobos
In Spanish “lobo” means “lion”, so “the island of Lobos” means “the island of wolves”.
This name originates in the past when a colony of sea lions once lived in the waters around the island. Lobos is a great place for the whole family to enjoy a day of sea and sun. This uninhabited islet is blessed with dreamy beaches, coves, and intense turquoise water. There is a circular walking path to explore the island. Snorkelling and paddle surfing are recommended activities.

Children will especially like the goats on the island and a visit to the cheese museum, you can climb into the mill – touch and see everything. A road with magnificent landscapes and settings in beautiful places. I definitely recommend. Special thanks to our guide – Anastasia and her husband Andrey for nice gifts and cheerful company.

Island sightseeing tour
This excursion will remain in our memory for a long time and we warmly recommend it to other interested people
this wonderful island. We learned not only about the history, current economic condition, climate and living conditions on the island, but also tasted the products
local production (cheeses, olive oil, water).
We were taught in a purely worldly way to understand their quality and use for medicinal purposes (aloe, sea salt, prickly pear).
The route was chosen by us with a visit to the most beautiful viewpoints, including those away from tourist roads. We visited several climatic zones and even got under
rare in these places rain. A seemingly boring landscape may turn out to be
interesting and exciting if presented by people who are in love with this island.

Super tour! Alex did a good job, he told only what might be interesting to us, without unnecessary information, he found a common language with the child, he tried to captivate her all the time.
He took water and bananas with him and fed us on the way. We were not bored, not tense and we enjoyed it!

We came to Fuerteventura for one day and managed to fall in love with it thanks to our hospitable guides: the sand dunes of Corralejo, the old walls of the monastery, Betancuria, fussy funny Maghreb squirrels, a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, windmills and many other interesting things.
We would not have had time to find, see and learn so much on our own.

It was great! Guys well done and professionals.
We had a birthday and we did not regret for a second that we spent it on this island. And all thanks to the guys, because initially they did not understand what to see on this small island. But after this excursion, we wanted to return to this small and wonderful island.

Review: Riddles and mysticism of Fuerteventura
As one of the greats said, any journey is an acquaintance with oneself. Thanks to my wonderful guides Anastasia and Andrey for this magical trip called Fuerteventura! You absolutely understand that you can find yourself in a beautiful place with bewitching nature and the amazing power of all the elements – and not see all this in a typical comfortable all inclusive hotel room.
And it will be two big differences and two different holidays. That is why the right conductor is so important. In general, if you want to shake things up and reboot your brain, Fuerteventura is the right place. Elements surround completely, and riddles and mysticism capture! As for the guided tour, I remember the endless beautiful beaches, each with its own zest and the ocean of all shades of blue, a lot of air and a sense of freedom, Martian desert landscapes and small cute towns. It is absolutely certain that this is all one big place of power! One day is not enough to get to know the whole island, but enough to fall in love with it. On the way, it is very important that you feel comfortable, that your individual wishes are taken into account and non-banal interesting routes are drawn up. The puzzle came together and everything worked out thanks to my wonderful guides, Anastasia and Andrey – you are the best!
