Great range of shops, ample parking (although sat nav told me to turn right into the sea). Good mix of shops with varying price ranges.
Mostly locals using the shops, not everyone speaks English. See….

Motorway GC-1 (Spain) – frwiki.wiki
GC-1 , also called Motorway del Sur de Gran Canaria , is an autonomous highway belonging to the Canaries that links Las Palmas – de Gran Canaria in the south of Gran Canaria, along the east coast. Thus, it serves all the seaside resorts of the coast. Although the geographical name of the official name of the “southern” motorway is used, this is to distinguish it from Gran Canaria’s northern motorway, and not because the island has two motorways.
nine0007
This is a high traffic highway, especially in the suburbs of Las Palmas, where about 135,000 vehicles pass in certain sections every day. It also serves the airport of Gran Canaria and the city of Mogán, located in the southwest of the island. The train project in Gran Canaria, on a route close to the GC-1 route, will absorb some of the traffic.

7 kinds of lotus, very grateful herbs
Image – Flickr / Teresa Grau Ros
Lotus is a herbaceous plant widely grown in gardens and on land that has lost its nutrients. They produce small but beautiful colored flowers with high ornamental value. They do not need special care, as they are very rustic. In fact, we just need to make sure they are in a sunny location. nine0007
Of course, if you wish, we can pay them with a fertilizer specially designed for flower plants. But beyond that, you don’t need to be very aware of them; just enjoy them. So take a look at the different types of lotus that you can grow in your garden. .

What types of lotus are there?
The lotus genus includes about 150 species. They are all annual or perennial herbs of the Fabaceae (legume) family, found throughout the world. These are the most famous varieties:
Lotus Berthelotii

This is known as pigeon’s beak, and is a perennial herbaceous plant with creeping stems. Its height is about 20 centimeters, but it can increase by about 50 or 60 centimeters. The leaves are linear and green in color, although they are covered with a lot of short white “hairs” giving the impression that they are bluish. nine0342 The flowers are grouped by number from 2 to 6, they are red or orange, beak-shaped.

This is an endangered species. It grows on the island of Tenerife, and only in La Orotava and Granadilla. Despite this, it can be grown as a garden plant.
Lotus corniculatus
El Lotus corniculatus creeping perennial herb known as corniculated lotus, criollo clover or zapaticos de la virgen. In height, it can reach a maximum of 40 centimeters, but the most normal is that it does not exceed 20 centimeters. The leaves are green and consist of five leaflets, which are arranged in such a way that they look like the fingers of a hand. nine0342 Beautiful yellow flowers.
Grows in both Europe and North Africa. This plant is widely used as sheep feed, so it is also widely cultivated in the US and Canada.
Lotus creticus

Called seahorn, it is a perennial plant with creeping stems up to 150 centimeters long. They are covered with many very short grayish hairs. Its flowers are yellow, grouped in inflorescences, consisting of 2-7 flowers. nine0343
El Lotus creticus (previously Lotus cytisoides ) grows in the Mediterranean region, in particular in meadows and sandy coastal areas.
Glaber lotus

El Glaber lotus This is a perennial herb growing up to 40 centimeters in height. The leaves consist of several green leaves. Its variable flowers are yellow, small, grouped in inflorescences. nine0343
This is a species native to Southern Europe and Southwest Asia. Its cultivation is very interesting, as it tolerates salt well and does not need a lot of nutrients. For this reason, it can be used to recolonize poor soils.
