They were in search of water, went to a watering hole, and instead fell into a bitumen trap. Since there was a sticky resin, the animals under their weight dragged deeper and died. So in the course of research, the remains of the following animals were found:

• bison;
• mammoth;
• mastodon;
• lama.
The remains of these animals can be seen in the local museum.
