At the foot of the Korona volcano, the bowels of the island are pierced by underground galleries. Upon contact with air, the surface of lava flows cools and solidifies into a dense layer of basalt, under which molten magma continues to circulate. The galleries of Cueva de los Verdes, said to be 5,000 years old, stretch 7 km to the coast. A beautifully lit 2 km network of these tunnels runs through the various levels. nine0003

Cueva de los Verdes is one of the most beautiful caves in Lance. The tour is small, only about a kilometer open, but believe me, it’s worth it.
If you are by car, then it makes sense to combine visits to Cueva de do los Verdes and Jameos del Agua – they are very close, and although the “underground” tone of the walk will be set initially, the impressions will be very different and very vivid. nine0003

Very beautiful cave. But the format of the tour itself is somewhat annoying – you need to walk in a group and wait until everyone moves from one hall to another and approaches the guide. Of course, this is justified, but it’s annoying to wait until everyone is re-photographed. I think it’s worth going there if there are not a lot of cars and buses in the parking lot.

A very unusual music hall in a volcanic cave! The acoustics are fantastic! We listened to a string quartet. Cosmic sensations!
Near the concert hall there is an underground lake where unique blind albino crabs live. No regrets at all that we went to this place! nine0003

One of the few attractions on Lanzarote (the island is still small) is Cueva de los Verdes. The cave is more impressive than its size. Although this is also – only a small part of the cave is available to tourists. The most interesting thing is the lake. There is no particular point in telling, and spoilers are not always useful. Great emotions associated with the descent into the cave. The cave is volcanic. There are bottlenecks, but basically the cave is wide. There is a mirror lake – a wonder of the world. It seems that it is deep, but in fact cm20.
Walk 1 km underground, about 50 minutes. Different languages. I personally understand Spanish, but there I heard in French and English. nine0003
