Fantastic range of sea life.
Dec 2022 • Solo
Section 1 or 2 were absolutely amazing and the whole place is very well looked after. The rest felt a little underwhelming in types and quality of fish once you’ve seen such a delightful range. Overall still good value for money!

Been a few times over the years; a brilliant aquarium with both indoor and outdoor sections. The behind the scenes tour and raft above the shark tank are excellent additions we discovered this year in October.

Great family day and lovely staff
We visited here as a family with two children (8,10) . I thought it was a bit expensive until I realised how much there was to see inside. It really is deceptively big. We got the “backstage tour” which was worth it for the kids and quite informative. We also got the short boat ride in the shark pool which was fun and had a brilliant multilingual Italian host. Layout in general was very good and the staff were helpful and well informed. There was a nice outdoor area at the back aswell who was nice for a break too and a small food area. Would highly recommend, just allow plenty of time!

Aquariam Visit
We booked our tickets at one of the activities companies in palma nova and it worked out cheaper. This also included a bus to and from. You were given 4.5 hours in the aquariam. It was really good for all they had and there seemed to be a lot of focus around conservation which is the most important.
Food in cafe was poor so I’d recommend bringing your own lunch as its not cheap either. There was other activities like behind the scenes tours etc but we didn’t cop this until we had done all the areas ourselves and when we went to book the shark boat it was sold out. I’d recommend going to the central area first, book what you wanna book and then go around. We ended up sitting around for 1.5 hours waiting for our bus but in fairness there wrre benches and bean bags so we could watch the fish.

A good way of entertaining a small child.
Spent a good 3+ hours at the aquarium with our 4 year old son. His attention span isn’t all that great so the outside and inside play areas were very welcome. Great mix of zones, including the jungle with the waterfall.

The best aquarium I have ever been to
Palma aquarium is excellent, we spent over 2 hours there as there is plenty to see and do. It is quite expensive however I do believe it is worth the money. There is a huge variety of aquatic animals to see and beautiful large tanks. The aquarium has many interactive activities including a great whale dome experience. Excellent accessibility for prams and wheel chairs

Poor ticketing office desk, good range of aquatic animals
Poor customer service. Asked for help on mobile as was trying to book online because of a promotional code, but unable to swap it to English. Went to front desk that says “Online”. Was told to go the ticketing office to purchase. Nobody queuing there, but didn’t even try to help at all.
One koi pond were covered in algae (pictures uploaded). Poorly maintained.

Not bad for a rainy day but needs rethinking on their customer experience
The aquarium itself is relatively nice for an island aquarium. The management need to better plan the flow of people because it is incredibly frustrating trying to wait in crowds to see the displays. The first part of the tour is incredibly hot and stuffy… needs an air conditioner in there. There are no water points so you must wait till the mid way point to buy expensive water and the queue for that takes at least 15 minutes.
The positives are that the various aquariums and displays are very clean and well presented. There’s a good variety of marine animals to see and the shark tank is very impressive.

Nice road trip but not worth the price
Nov 2022 • Friends
It was fun seeing different places and locations during a short period, places that we otherwise would not have visited. However, for some reason the boat trip was cancelled and most of the journey was done in a bus. We wished for more in-depth information about the island, flora and fauna, history etc., but the info was quite limited. Also the guide seemed a bit bored most of the time. So, if you mostly enjoy watching nature from a bus, this is for you. For the rest of you, I’d recommend saving your money for something more fun and interesting:) wasn’t worth the price for us, unfortunately.

Not bad but not great.
Nov 2022 • Couples
Weather was warm (72°f), but not hot which was good. We stayed in cala mayor just outside palma which was cheaper than palma itself. It had a main st with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants open but not packed as it was out of season.
The hotel was the Marivent Be Live Adults only. It had an excellent beach right in front. The pool was small but deep. We were breakfast only. Food was just about adequate but very repetitive.
Staff were very friendly. Room air con not very cold same as mini fridge which had temp control broken off.
When I complained to desk was told fridge not meant to get cold ! Room had big mirror next to toilet that had a door that would not close so good only if you like watching your partner sit on the loo !
Had a day out in Magaluf. Dont bother as out of season everywhere is closed but you do get beach to yourself. There were 2 people on it when we went.
Overall out of season has its pluses and minuses but cala mayor was ok.

Great way to see the west of the island
Great way to see the west of the island. Very good value and informative. Would recommend. The only suggestion I would have is I would have liked more time in Soller as looked a very interesting place but realise this depends on timings of train tram and boat. Less time at the boat lunch place and no time in Inca on the way home which was pointless. The coach trip up the mountain was incredible with amazing views. A great day out.

Lovely Tour Guide
Nov 2022 • Friends
Joe was a wonderful and funny guide! Miguel, our driver, was also fantastic navigating extreme curves on the roads. It was a great experience with stunning vistas.
We couldn’t do the boat ride because of the weather that day and ended up going to see the canyons – still beautiful. So be aware of this possibility if you’re keen on going on a boat – this also will depend on the time of year for your tour.
Overall a great time! 😊

Nov 2022 • Couples
If you just want to see a quick view of the mountains & a couple of other locations then it’s great.
Was looking forward to hearing lots of interesting facts and stories but the information felt really sparse and repetitive. Lovely tour guide, it just felt like 2 languages (Spanish and English) would be better to allow more information and banter. Value for money? It looks like it was, but it diddn’t feel like a ‘tour’ more like a commute via different versions of transport

This was a wonderful trip. The guide was really informative and the coach driver deserves an olympic gold medal for negotiating the hairpin bends, for once on holiday we felt very safe because of his driving ability.
The timing for the Coach, train, tram and boat was just right and what a fabulous way to see this beautiful part of Majorca. We could definitely do it all over again when we return.
Thank you for such a memorable day.

7 things to do in Mallorca
Mallorca belongs to the Balearic Islands. and it is also one of the most popular destinations in our country. It is a tourist destination that stands out for its beaches, but there is so much more when it comes to enjoying this holiday destination that we can discover everything from caves to hiking trails and much history. If you are going to go to this island, take advantage of the trip, because you will find a lot of interesting things to have fun. nine0003
We already know that we will go to the beach, but before we decide, we should have other ideas for to invest time in Mallorca , because later we may realize that we missed some very interesting things. Even in these sunny places, there is history and tradition to offer to those who visit.

Capital Palma de Mallorca
its capital, a city that, like many others, combines a more modern and commercial part with another historical and older one. The most picturesque corners are located in the historical center of the city, such as the Jewish Quarter, Jewish Quarter of the Old City . After the bustle of the city, we will find ourselves on narrower and quieter streets. And if we get tired of the silence, we can always return to the shopping area to enjoy buying typical products.
Mallorca patio route
This city of Palma has a rich history, so there are still beautiful buildings with their typical architecture, which have outdoor patio like old Andalusian houses. They attach such importance to these spaces, and they have such beautiful corners, that they paved the route of Mallorca’s patios to discover this architecture. This route passes through the lower part of the city and has become indispensable for those who are attracted by history and buildings. nine0003
Palma Cathedral
This Cathedral, better known as La Seu , is the most emblematic building in all of Mallorca. Surely you already imagine this cathedral with its peculiar Catalan Gothic style. Its peculiarity is that it is an unfinished monument like the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and has undergone many renovations since its construction in the XNUMXth century, the most famous of which was by Gaudí. It also has the largest rose window in the Gothic world, so a visit to its interior to discover that the lighting environment, typical of the transition from Romanesque to Gothic, is essential. nine0003
Beaches and coves of Mallorca
This island stands out not only for its most famous beaches in typical crystal clear water and clean sand Mediterranean style, but also the presence of countless coves surrounded by nature in which you can get lost. Some of them that we cannot miss are Cala Varques in Manacor, Cala Mondrago in Santanyi, Playa de Formentor in Pollença or Es Trenc in Campos. They are all united by incredibly warm and clear water in a very beautiful natural environment where you can get lost during your vacation. We want to go back there again and again. nine0003
Drach Caves
Although the Drach Caves are undoubtedly the most famous on the island, they have many other caves and precipices, making them an ideal destination for those who love caving. For a moment, we can leave the beaches and the heat behind to take a dip in the cool environment of these underground caves. Those from Drach host Lake Martel , considered one of the largest underground lakes in the world. The visit lasts about an hour, and you need to drive a little more than a kilometer. In addition, they delight us with a classical music concert and an incredible boat ride on an underground lake. nine0003
Castell de Belver
This castle also belongs to Mallorcan Gothic , and has a great feature of the round plan, which we almost never see in these constructions. It is about three kilometers from the city of Palma, so both can be visited on the same day. It was built in the XNUMXth century by order of Jaime II of Mallorca. You can take a guided tour inside, which lasts half an hour and during which we will see the parade ground, the Historical Museum of the city, the throne room or the chapel of San Marcos. nine0003
Tramuntana mountain range
This island not only has a beach, but also places for those who want to get lost in nature and mountain air. In the Sierra de Tramuntana we find Valldemossa Village built on the rocks and 17 km from the capital. In a short time we move to the tranquility of the mountains, and this place with a romantic atmosphere is ideal for sports activities such as hiking or excursions in the mountains.

Tourists from Europe were appreciated by the beauty of the Micheuro in the midst of last post. The construction of hotels begins on the island, infrastructure is developing. Ancient history, amazing nature, luxurious beaches, vibrant nightlife – all this provides a holiday on the famous island. nine0003
Fly to Mallorca
From Moscow the most popular option is to fly to Barcelona. A plane leaves every half an hour to Mallorca, which will take you to your place in 20-30 minutes. There is also a waterway by ferry (8.5 hours) or high-speed catamaran (4.5 hours).
Convenient transport
The main public transport in Mallorca is the bus. On it you can move between settlements and within the city. You can pay for the trip in cash and with a travel card. The second option is more profitable, the cost of one trip is 10 euros for 10 trips. The price of an intercity trip depends on the distance of 1-10 euros. nine0003
It is a pleasure to travel between the islands by ferry or high-speed catamaran plying off the coast. The cost of the trip is about 40 euros.
There are several railway lines on the island and for the sake of interest you can ride a train. Particularly interesting is the route to the city of Sauer. It opened in 1911 and passes through several tunnels through a beautiful area. It’s cheaper to buy a round trip ticket.
About the climate
Mallorca enjoys a wonderful Mediterranean climate, with little rain during the summer months. Daytime temperature reaches +30, and at night +26. The average water temperature is +23. The hottest month is August. nine0003
Autumn is a great time to relax. There is no sweltering heat, the water in the sea is comfortable. This weather is suitable for excursions and travel to interesting places and different cities. Even in November, the air warms up to +20.
Always in touch
There are no communication problems in Mallorca. There are pay phones in many places. To make calls, you need a phone card, which can be bought at a tobacconist, newsstand, post office, Internet cafe. The price of 1 minute to Russia costs 1 euro. It is more profitable to buy a local SIM card, inside the cost is 0.30-0.50 euros per minute, to Russia 0.80 euros, incoming calls are free. Wireless Wi-Fi can be used free of charge in hotels, shopping centers, cafes, restaurants. nine0003
Choosing a resort
Mallorca is an island where you can find a place for recreation for young people, couples, lovers of night parties and outdoor activities. You just need to choose a resort. Mallorca offers guests about 200 beaches, 30 of which have a blue flag. All beaches are free, a sunbed and an umbrella are included in additional services, the price is up to 10 euros, but you can just sunbathe on a clean, fine sand.
Conditionally, the island can be divided into several recreation areas. The beaches in the north are preferred by lovers of diving, schools, which, as well as windsurfing, are located in Alcudia. There are comfortable conditions for children, the sea is shallow on the beach, a convenient entrance. The resort town is far from the capital, but it has its own entertainment for children: a water park, a bird park, a karting center. nine0003
Alcudia is divided into two parts by a motorway, so it is advisable to settle with a child closer to the sea so as not to cross the road. Playa de Muro is ideal for children. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the depth is small.
Another more elite resort is located on the northern coast of the island – this is Port de Pollensa. The length of the strip of beaches is 4 km. It is also famous for the bay of San Vicens and Formentor beach. Those who wish can ride water skis, surf, and scuba dive. You can rent a yacht. nine0003
In the south of the island, as well as near the capital, there are popular and comfortable resorts. One of them is Playa de Palma, a classic resort with the largest beach on the island. Artificial breakwaters are installed in the water, so the sea is calm and has a pleasant temperature. Numerous water entertainments, bars, cafes are at the service of vacationers.
On the south coast there is a popular wild beach Es Trenc. It does not belong to any resort, you can stay in Colonia St Jordi or the Campos area. The beach is equipped with everything you need, there are toilets, ramps for the disabled, rent of sun loungers, umbrellas. Behind the beach are sandy and wetlands favored by migratory birds. nine0003
Arenal resort is inexpensive, popular among young people from Holland, Germany, England. It is noisy, fun, ideal for party lovers.
Illetas is considered a calm, comfortable place to stay. There is a large golf club here. On the beach, part of it is covered with concrete slabs, perhaps this will not seem very suitable to someone.
Cala Major is the closest resort to the capital. On its territory there are luxurious villas, hotels, restaurants. The summer residence of the King of Spain is also located in this place. Rest in the resort is only beach, there are no entertainment and conditions for children. nine0003
Do you want to see luxury yachts owned by millionaires from all over the world, the best restaurants, bars, and Marineland with the famous dolphin show? All this is located in Portals Nous, not far from Palma. It is worth coming to Portals Nous to see the best and largest marina in the Mediterranean.
Interested in the audience sitting in a local street cafe. These are the millionaires. Here are two ladies of the age of a Russian woman, who has a work experience of 40 years. They drink coffee, admire the landscapes, one has an elegant gold-rimmed magnifying glass hanging around her neck. That’s right, this item is used to see the amount of the check. It looks like they don’t really care about her, although a cup of coffee is 5 times more expensive than in an ordinary cafe. Prices in all shops, cafes, restaurants are focused on these expensive tourists. nine0003
Cala d’Or is another resort in the southeast of the island, ideal for children. These are cozy coves, sheltered from the wind by pine groves. In the city, pretty houses are painted white. Guests will find comfortable and budget hotels with their own beaches with fine golden sand. Cala d’Or is considered a popular diving destination.
About an underwater wedding accompanied by sharks
The underwater world off the coast of Mallorca attracts divers with its diversity: coral reefs, shipwrecks, seaweed and amazing wildlife. Almost every resort has dive schools where you can rent everything you need to dive. Trial lesson price from 49Euro.
In the capital, the water park “Palma Aquarium” offers newlyweds to hold a wedding ceremony under water, for this you need to have driver’s certificates. An unforgettable celebration takes place surrounded by 12 tiger sharks to the accompaniment of guitarists playing Brazilian music.
On the north and west coast, favorable conditions for windsurfing. You can hire an experienced instructor for 18 euros per hour.
A city to return to
Palma de Mallorca, the place where you can just stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, look into the Spanish courtyard or sit in a cafe with a cup of coffee. nine0003
Palma de Mallorca on the map:
Strict Gothic with Moorish patterns
The visiting card of the city is the Cathedral of St. Mary, made in the Gothic style. After the expulsion of the Arabs at the beginning of the 13th century, the construction of a Christian temple was initiated by King Jaime I. It was assumed that the rulers of the country would be buried there.
Construction stretched out for centuries. The interior decoration and exterior unique lighting are the work of Gaudí. The Museum of Painting is located at the cathedral, and those who wish can see real masterpieces. The main shrine of the cathedral is the ark of the Life-Giving Cross, adorned with precious stones. Entrance ticket costs 6 euros, children are free. nine0003
A walk along the Mori street will be a real pleasure for lovers of architectural trifles. Time has stopped here, interesting stucco on the walls, lace balconies in the Moorish and Italian style, preserved from the reign of Jaime II (13th century). The streets are so narrow that in the heat it will be a pleasure to walk in the shade of stone walls.
Visit the Basilica of St. Francis, consisting of several outbuildings, a church. Very beautiful patio with cypresses, palm trees, oleanders. The beautiful cloister gallery with Gothic columns attracts attention. nine0003
Next to the Cathedral is the Almudaina Palace, which is the summer residence of the royal family. Built in Moorish times, the palace acquired a Gothic look during the reign of Jaime II. The remaining Moorish columns are illuminated in the evening and are visible in the form of a chain of lanterns even from the sea. Part of the palace is occupied by the office of the head of the Balearic Islands – the main Captain. Ticket price for an adult is 7 euros, preferential – 4 euros, children under 5 years old – free of charge.
The already familiar Mori street leads to the oldest church of Saint Eualalia, which houses a large number of paintings from the 15th century. Previously, this place was a cemetery, tombstones and funerary arches remind of this. The church hosted the coronations of kings. Among the relics is the image of Christ, which belonged to Jaime I.
About the ancient tram and vinyl records
If you walk along the street of St. Eualalia to the sea, then you can get to the Sinoferia bodega or a wine store. This is an unusual and curious place, because in addition to wine in wooden barrels, there is an art gallery with a constantly changing exposition. And the owner, a young Spaniard, who listens to records on vinyl discs and a cassette recorder, deserves attention. The store got its name from the sale of soda, which it originally sold. nine0003
The main seaport is located in Palma. Here you can admire the huge ocean liners and expensive yachts. An excursion to the Spanish village will be interesting. This is a place where architectural masterpieces from different regions of Spain are collected in miniature, here you can buy products of local artisans.
The Mondrago Nature Reserve has a collection of beautiful plants, and there is also a cove with clear waters where you can go snorkeling. The territory of the reserve is located in the south of the island, in 1992 it was declared protected to preserve the ecosystem. nine0003

Palma hosts Europe’s largest aquarium. It has a huge collection of corals. There are glass passages between 55 aquariums. A very interesting show for adults and children.
You can take a fascinating journey on a 90-year-old train from the capital to the town of Soller. The same ancient tram runs around the city. The botanical garden will be interesting for children and adults. In May, a colorful festival of Moors and Christians is held. nine0003
A Carthusian monastery has been preserved in Valldemosa, where Georges Sand and Chopin stayed.
Caves as a habitat – or where to go from Palma
Yes, in prehistoric times, it was underground voids that served as shelter and housing for people. There is a belief that the entire island of Mallorca from below is one large cave. Today you can admire the beauty of the underworld, marvel at the unusual sculptures created by water and time, natural stalactites and stalagmites. nine0003
Five caves are open to the public. Excursions are conducted in groups, special platforms are equipped inside for easy movement, artificial lighting is everywhere. It should be borne in mind that the constant temperature in the caves is +18. For tourists, an excursion program is provided for several halls, each of which has its own original name. For example, halls: romantic, “enchanted city”. Entrance ticket 11.5 euros, children – 5.5. nine0003
The most famous in Mallorca are the Dragon Caves. They are known for their illumination and one of the largest lakes in the world. On it you can swim in a boat with classical music. Entrance is 14.5 euros for adults and 7.5 for children.
Other caves are no less interesting, so visiting one of them is a must when traveling around Mallorca.

While relaxing on the island, you should definitely visit the famous Majorica pearl factory. Here it is interesting to look at the manufacturing process, much will destroy the usual idea of \u200b\u200bthis wonderful mineral. There is a huge shop at the factory, where everyone will definitely find something for themselves. Prices start from 15 euros per item.
