The beach at Puerto Rico is man made with sand from the Sahara Desert. This beach is 280 metres in length and can get very crowded during the peak season. The bay that surrounds the beach keeps the water calm and ideal for swimming. As you can see from the image above, the water transforms from crystal clear to a beautiful shade of turquoise as it becomes deeper.

The hottest months here are August and September when the average temperature is 24 Celsius. The coldest months are between December – April when the average temperature is between 17 – 19 Celsius.

Most of the annual rainfall arrives between the months of November – February. There is hardly any rainfall between the months of May – August. The Sea temperature rarely drops below 19 Celsius in the colder months. This then peaks at 23 Celsius during the hotter months.
