Tenerife reina sofia arrivals: Tenerife South Airport (TFS) – Jet2.com Flight Arrivals
Tenerife South Airport Arrivals (TFS)
Flights arriving at Tenerife South Airport will either be parked on the apron or connected to the terminal building via an airbridge. When disembarking on the airport apron, you will leave from the front and rear doors and there will either be a short walk to the terminal or a shuttle bus ride. With a sky bridge, you exit the plane from the front door, directly into the terminal.
People with reduced mobility or special needs can request assistance from the airline, tour operator or from the airport through their website. This must be done at the time of booking or at least forty-eight hours in advance.
Passport Control
After leaving the aircraft, passengers from international flights will be directed to passport control, where you will be required to show a passport valid for at least the duration of your stay on the island. Citizens from Schengen area countries can show their national ID card.
Passengers on internal flights from the Spanish mainland or inter-island flights do not have to pass through immigration.
Baggage Reclaim
From passport control, signs will direct you to the baggage reclaim hall. The main information screens show the airlines, flight numbers, origin airport and the number of the baggage carousel assigned to each flight. Above each carousel is a monitor showing the flight information and the baggage handling agent.
In the rare event that your luggage does not arrive or is damaged, you should report it immediately to the baggage handling agent, which is shown on the carousel monitor. Their office is either in the baggage reclaim area or in the arrivals hall. You will need to fill in a Lost or Damaged Property Form with details of how to contact you and where you are staying, as well as your home address. You should also notify the airline as soon as possible as they are ultimately responsible regardless of the handling agent.
Where your baggage is damaged, take photos before leaving the reclaim area in case you later need evidence to make a claim.
Customs
When you have passed through customs you won’t be able to return, so make sure you have all of your bags. At the customs hall, you either pass through the blue EU channel, the green ‘nothing to declare‘ lane or the red ‘goods to declare‘ area. Certain goods are restricted and should be declared at this point. These items include some foods, expensive electronics and cash over €10,000.
Duty-Free
Before exiting the secure area, there is a duty-free shop for a last chance to buy alcohol cigarettes, perfume, etc. You should bear in mind that in the Canary Islands those items can be found in the resorts at much lower prices.
Arrivals Hall
Follow the exit signs to the automatic doors which lead into the public area of the arrivals hall. You won’t be allowed back to the ‘airside‘ area after this point. If a friend or a driver is meeting you, they should be waiting for you at the barrier. Tour company reps will be at the meeting points. There are also tourist information desks and the car hire offices are located in the arrivals hall.
If you need to connect to the internet, there is free unlimited Wi-Fi and computer terminals with internet access in this hall. You will also find ATMs, currency exchange offices, a newsagent and a lost and found office. While waiting for passengers or your onward transport you can get hot and cold food and drinks from the café.
Directly outside the arrivals hall are the taxi rank and bus stop. The coach and car parks are a short walk away.
