Our new fully equipped Centre provides quality diving opportunities together with guaranteed customer satisfaction.. In our effort to ensure divers feel comfortable at all times, safety is our number one priority. We are a young highly motivated “team” aiming to provide the best service available. Personal interaction is very important to us and, together with offering a quality service, our aim is that divers arrive as customers but leave as friends! We welcome everyone to our beautiful relaxing spot away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, everyone from beginners to the most professional. Our daily guided dives around the island are always conducted in small groups. There is, however, a second option to dive from the boat in the harbor of Los Gigantes (West) or in the harbor of Las Galletas (South). The diving we offer around the island of Tenerife (a volcanic island) with its impressive rock formations and breathtaking caves and caverns is guaranteed to make every diver’s heart beat faster. Here one finds aquatic life in all it’s splendour on every dive – angel sharks, rays of various kinds, octopus, cuttlefish, turtles and many more. A free shuttle service is available from your hotel/accommodation to the Diving Centre and back.

We were strolling along the seaside from Guía de Isora when we found this beautiful group of small lava sand beaches alongside a hotel complex and fields. I think one of the most beautiful walks I did so far on a Tenerife. Very beautiful views to the different islands and big and small volcanoes. It is worth it to climb the Samara volcano and it is also really worth it to climb to the top of the Botija volcano.
The Samara walk (S13) is easy, around 5 km (loop), but you have to gain around 300m of altitude. You can also extend the walk and make it around 9 km, in that case you almost walk to the ‘Narices del teide’ mirador (I think follow S38 and S9) and a few km’s before arriving there you take the S32 back to the Samara viewpoint.
Enjoy!

The volcanic island of Tenerife has become one of the most popular resorts in Europe since the middle of the century, and such love is fully justified – such a unique climate and natural beauty can not be found anywhere else. The island is rich in attractions – both natural and man-made, and you can swim here all year round.
Geographical information
Tenerife is one of the seven islands of the Canary archipelago, washed on all sides by the Atlantic Ocean and is part of Micronesia. The island is separated from Morocco by about 300 km, and from Spain, to which Tenerife belongs, 1500 km. Tenerife area – 2057 sq. km, the length of the coastline is 342 km. The island arose as a result of a volcanic eruption approximately 12 million years ago, and since then volcanic activity has repeatedly influenced the relief of the island. A large mountain range stretches across Tenerife, dividing it into southern and northern parts. The unique geography of the island could not but affect its climate. There are 30 microclimatic zones here, such a variety of weather, and as a result – flora and fauna, cannot be found anywhere else.
The highest point in Tenerife, and throughout Spain, is Teide Peak, its height is 3718 m. The territory of the island is one of the most protected in the Kingdom of Spain, there is a record number of national parks, the largest of which is the Teide National Park.

Climate and seasonality
Tenerife’s climate is a warm and sunny subtropical spring, which is why it is called the “Island of Eternal Spring”. The change of seasons is practically not felt here, so swimming and sunbathing are available all year round. A light sweater may be needed only for an evening walk or a trip to the top of the Teide volcano.
The mildness and constancy of the weather on the island is determined by the Atlantic Ocean. Warm undercurrents warm the atmosphere in winter, while trade winds cool the island in summer. The mountains divide the island into two parts, the north differs significantly from the south. The north is more humid and cool, so there is a lot of tropical vegetation. In the south it is warm and dry, but at the same time there is no strong heat. The holiday season continues all year round. The average air temperature in summer is about +24°С (maximum +40°С), in winter – about +18°С. The water temperature fluctuates around +20°C.

Language
The official language is Spanish (Castilian). In villages and small towns, the Canarian dialect is spoken. On the island of Gomera, a real linguistic artifact has been preserved – silbo, the whistling language of the ancient Guanches. Most of the population involved in the service sector speaks English, and often Russian.
Capital
The island’s capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, owes its name to the Spanish conquistadors who settled here at the turn of the 14th and 16th centuries. Over time, a small settlement turned into a modern, beautiful city with its own port, historical center and business districts. The brightest event in the life of the capital is the annual February Carnival, which is considered one of the brightest holidays in Europe and is almost as big as the Brazilian one. However, the rest of the time the city has something to surprise travelers with.
The coastline of Santa Cruz stretches for almost 60 kilometers, so here are some of the most beautiful and equipped beaches of the island. This is, first of all, Las Teresitas, covered with golden sand atypical for these places – in the 1970s it was specially brought from the Sahara. No less picturesque are the “black beaches” of natural volcanic origin – for example, Taganana or Las Gaviotas (Playa de Las Gaviotas). The surrounding area offers surfing, windsurfing and other water sports.
There are also several diving centers suitable for all skill levels. Of interest are the underwater caves of Groupers Cave (Grouper’s Cave) and La Cueva del Roquete (La Cueva Del Roquete), as well as the sunken 70-meter Carbonero ship, chosen by sharks, rays and barracudas. Santa Cruz does not have many official historical monuments, but there are picturesque streets, cozy churches and, of course, the famous facades of houses in the Canarian style. In addition, numerous shopping malls deserve the attention of tourists, because Tenerife is a duty-free zone.
Visa
The Canary Islands are part of the Kingdom of Spain. For citizens of the Russian Federation, a Schengen visa is required, since Spain is part of the European Union and is a member of the Schengen Union.
Historical background
Tenerife is over 20 million years old. The first mentions of the island are found in the writings of ancient historians and philosophers, Plato, Homer, Pliny the Elder spoke about it. The origin of the indigenous inhabitants of Tenerife – the Guanches tribe – is shrouded in mystery. They lived in caves carved into the rocks, engaged in agriculture, cattle breeding and hunting. It is noteworthy that the Guanches were tall, blond hair and eyes.
The modern history of the island began with the conquest of the Canary Islands by the Spanish conquistadors in the 15th century. In 1852, Tenerife received the status of a free port. Until recently, the main sources of income for local residents were fishing and agriculture. Today, the entire economy of the island is based on tourism. Modern Tenerife is the largest tourist center in the Canaries and one of the best in Spain.
Today about 9 people live here06.8 thousand people or 43% of the total population of the Canary Islands. The most populous cities are Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristobal.
More than 90% of the inhabitants of Tenerife consider Catholicism their religion. Important Christian holidays are reflected in the official calendar: these days are usually a day off on the island.
Money
The monetary unit is the euro (EUR). Currency exchange is carried out in banks. They are open from 9.00 to 14.00 from Monday to Friday and until 13.00 on Saturdays, but not all are open on Saturdays in the summer. Also, exchange offices are located in most hotels, but exchanging currency at the airport is not very profitable. Visa and Mastercard cardholders can receive money through ATMs or use cards when paying in shops and restaurants.
Telephone communication
To call to Russia, you need to dial the code of Russia (007), then the code of the desired city and the phone number of the subscriber. To call from Russia to Tenerife, you need to dial the Spanish code (+34), then the Tenerife code (822 or 922).
Cuisine
The traditional cuisine of Tenerife is a symbiosis of several cultures. From the Guanches got a love for fish, meat, fruit and cornmeal, from the Spaniards – potatoes, wine, jamon and spices. The most popular dishes are potatoes baked in their skins or boiled in sea water, all kinds of vegetable stews, fried fish of all kinds, various sauces and special rabbit recipes.
Holidays
The main holiday in Tenerife is the Carnival, which takes place in late February – early March and is one of the brightest events not only in the Canaries, but throughout the world. It takes place in the capital of the island – Santa Cruz. Every year this event is visited by about a million tourists from all over the world. Carnival in Tenerife is considered the second largest and most popular after Rio de Janeiro.
Shopping
Due to the fact that there is no import tax in the Canary Islands, prices for non-food products are much lower here than in shops in mainland Spain or in Russia. On the island, you can profitably buy clothes from famous brands, especially Spanish ones, perfumes, alcohol, and household appliances. Seasonal and holiday sales are held here: winter sales start from January 6 and continue until the end of February, summer sales start from July 1 until the end of August. At this time, discounts can reach 70-90%. In addition, the island has a large number of outlet stores of famous brands, where you can buy cheap items from old collections.
As for souvenirs, tourists usually bring local sauces, jamon, goat cheese, palm honey, local wine, ceramics, embroidery, various decorations and jewelry as gifts.
Transport
The island has a wide network of bus routes. Buses are comfortable, most of them are air-conditioned. They connect the resort points of the island not only with large settlements, but also with sights. Armed with a map and a bus schedule, you can get around the entire island with a minimal amount of money.
