Los Cristianos, Spain – July Weather

What’s the weather like in Los Cristianos in July

Temperature

Summer is under full swing in July so you can definitely expect high temperatures at this time of year in Los Cristianos. The month of July is characterised by gradually rising daily temperatures with daily highs around 82°F (28°C) and average lows around 68°F (20°C).

The warm season in Los Cristianos and the rest of Tenerife officially lasts from July 9th until October 5th, with daily average high temperatures above 26°C. At this time of year heat waves may occur, al though they are usually more common in August. If this is the case always make sure to keep topped up with water and keep on applying sun cream throughout the day. But if the temperatures are particularly high and unbearable, make sure to stay inside or at least in the shade.

Daylight Hours

Over the course of a typical July the length of day stays essentially constant. The shortest day of the month is July 31st with 13:28 hours of daylight, whilst the longest day is July 1st with 13:53 hours of daylight.

Average Sunshine Hours

The month of July also experiences a total of 10 hours of sunshine hours per day! It is estimated that the whole of the Canary Islands experience over 3000 hours of sunshine per year, making the islands one of the sunniest places on the earth.

Cloud Cover

You also won’t have to worry too much about any cloud cover affecting those bright sunrays. On average, in July the median cloud cover ranges from a mostly clear 23% to 30%. The trend is for the sky to be clearing at this time of year, with the median cloud cover decreasing by 7% from the start to the end of the month.

Rain

July is the driest month of the year in Los Cristianos with only 1mm of rainfall expected! The average possibility that some form of precipitation will be observed is only 2%, with little variation. Throughout the year Los Cristianos is a relatively dry area. The driest months tend to be from June to August, where only 8mm of rainfall is predicted across the three months.

Humidity

At this time of year the relative humidity typically fluctuates between a mildly humid 52% and 82%, rarely dropping below a comfortable 35% or reaching as high as 91%. On average, the air is driest around July 21st, when the relative humidity drops below a mildly humid 60% three days out of four. On the other hand, the air is likely to be most humid around July 9th, rising above 77% three days out of four.

Wind

Furthermore, wind speeds are generally low at this time of year, so will definitely not affect you if you’re planning on visiting Tenerife for a golf holiday or don’t want it to stop you from going sunbathing on the local beaches. During July the typical wind speeds vary from 2 mph to 24 mph, which is considered as a light to strong breeze. The highest average wind speed of 14 mph, usually occurs around July 16th, at which time the average daily maximum wind speed of 24 mph. At this time of year the wind is most likely to come from the east, followed by the north east.

Average Sea Temperature

The sea temperature during July stays around a positively warm 22°C, which is warm enough to take part in water sports such as scuba diving or swimming. The sea temperature is also very warm during August at 23°C, if you’re planning on visiting Los Cristianos at this time of year instead.

Scuba diving is an especially popular activity in Los Cristianos since the water is so clear and visibility is at a maximum compared to other diving locations all year long.

Los Cristianos is also quieter than some of the other Canary Islands in terms of partying; therefore, it is a good location for those who would like to avoid those crowds.

Similarly, it might also be a good place to stay for those who would like to take part in the active night life of the other islands but then return back to their own private paradise to recover the next day.

Los Cristianos Hotels in July

There are plenty of different hotels and self-catering apartments to choose from in Los Cristianos, but the hardest thing to do is choosing the one that suits you and your family best.

The Paloma Beach Apartments are one of the most highly recommended self-catering apartments in the resort. The three-star complex is located just 400m from the crystal clear Atlantic Ocean, but also offers a heated outdoor swimming pool. All apartments are modern and tastefully decorated, and come with a private balcony, flat-screen satellite TV, en-suite bathroom, living room, dining area and fully-equipped kitchenette. Free Wi-Fi is also available around the outdoor swimming pool, as well as in every apartment, free of charge.

Aguamar is a three-star hotel situated close to Los Cristianos Beach in the south of Tenerife. This modern, Mediterranean themed hotel offers comfortable rooms and apartments, which feature private balconies and living areas. The hotel itself offers an outdoor swimming pool, as well as table tennis, mini-golf and a children’s play area.

Another option to look into is the three-star Apartamentos Oasis Mango which offers an onsite restaurant and outdoor swimming pool. All apartments at this traditional Canarian style complex come with a bathroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen.

Most hotels and apartments in Los Cristianos cater towards young families, however, if you want a guaranteed peaceful holiday you may be interested in staying at the four-star Boutique Hotel h20 Big Sur, which is an adults only hotel located right on the beachfront. This stunning, exclusive hotel is like paradise on earth! It offers tropical gardens, a tennis court, outdoor swimming pool, sun terrace, poolside bar, buffet restaurant and much more!

Los Cristianos Beach for July

Playa de Las Americas is without a doubt one of the most popular beaches in the south of Tenerife. This golden sand beach boasts crystal clear, calm waters, as well as kiosks selling refreshments and ice creams! There are also a wide variety of water sports available at this beach including surfing, snorkelling and sailing. But if you would rather stay on the sand, Playa de Las Americas also offers a volleyball court.

If you’re planning on staying in Los Cristianos, of course the beach is only a stones throw away. This clean, golden sand beach can be found at the eastern end of Los Cristianos and is sheltered by a small harbor, making it perfect for young families as there are hardly any waves at this time of year.

Bars and Restaurants

If you ask the locals for their advice on where to go to for delicious authentic Canarian or Spanish food, it is highly likely they will recommend Meson Castellano. This simple yet delightful traditional Spanish restaurant boasts a fantastic reputation and can be found on the border of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas. The menu offers an array of Spanish specialities including chorizo and succulent steaks.

On the other hand, if you’re missing food from back home you may want to try the highly regarded New Yorker Restaurant, located in Los Cristianos. This popular restaurant has not been open for long, but has already established a superb reputation. This eatery serves international style dishes as well as an array of mouth-watering deserts.

If you’re here on a girls or lads holiday you may want to go clubbing whilst staying in the area. If so, Tramps in Playa de las Americas is one of the most popular nightclubs in the whole of Tenerife, if not the Canary Islands. This popular nightclub has seen the likes of DJs from Judge Jules to Trevor Nelson.

Los Cristianos is a relatively quiet resort in the evenings, so if you’re looking for lively night out you may be better off heading to Veronica’s Strip in Playa de las Americas. O’Neill’s is another popular club and bar that features an air-conditioned dance floor, as well as cage dancers and shot girls.

Things to do in Los Cristianos in July

The wet n’ wild Siam Park is an attraction the whole family can enjoy together. This Thai-themed water park features an array of heart racing water slides and rapids for all ages. However, if you fancy something tamer they also offer a paddling pool for children, as well as a wave pool and swimming pool.

It is estimated that approximately 28 species of resident and migratory whales and dolphins feed off the shores of Tenerife, between the neighbouring island of La Gomera. If you’re interested in seeing these beautiful marine creatures in their natural habitat you will be pleased to know there are a number of tour providers that offer boat trips from Los Cristianos to see the whales and dolphins.

As the weather is superb at this time of year, it’s highly recommended to take part in at least one water sport whilst staying in Los Cristianos. In the neighbouring resort of Costa Adeje you will find Parascending Tenerife, a water sports company that provides parasailing, water buggies, boat hire and jet ski safaris off the coast of Tenerife.

Tenerife is definitely one of the most visually stunning islands out of the whole of the Canaries. Plus, it is a relatively small island which means you can reach most major attractions within an hour. The Masca Valley is one of the most breath taking spots in Tenerife; so stunning it may even rival Mount Teide. The only downside of Masca is that it has to be accessed via a series of nerve-jangling roads, which are suitable for adventure seekers, but maybe not the feint hearted.

Dates for the diary

July is an especially good time to see Los Cristianos in the Canary Islands. In addition to the amazing paradise-like weather and year-round activities, a very special event occurs during this month.

This is the time of year when Los Cristianos honours the patron saint of fishermen and sailors with La Fiesta de La Virgen del Carmen. The celebration takes place on many islands and in many coastal regions in which the economy relies heavily on the sea. The highlights of this ceremonial holiday include sailors bearing a likeness to the saint of the sea and setting it afloat. Some people even follow it out into the water. The evening ends with a dazzling fireworks display.

Music fans will adore the International Jazz Festival (Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz and Mas Heineken), which lasts up to three weeks, starting from mid-July. This legendary event compromises of many large and small jazz concerts, with musicians performing from all over the world.

If you’re visiting Tenerife in early July, make sure to look out for the Romeria de San Benito Abad, held every year on the first Sunday of July. The event includes major traditional festivities in San Cristobal de La Laguna.

History lovers will adore the “Battle of Santa Cruz”, which is a re-enactment of Admiral Nelson’s famous defeat in 1791. This historic and remarkable event takes place every year on July 25th at the Castillo de San Juan Bautista.

Weather

Thailand is famous for several tourist places. One of the best resorts in the world, Phuket is the largest island in Thailand, among the dozens of beaches of which you will certainly find both a lively and a very quiet place. At the same time, even on a secluded beach, you will have a chance to do water sports – surfing, skiing, yachting.

Thailand offers you complete freedom of choice – you can stay in a luxury hotel or bungalow, eat fragrant and charming Thai cuisine or taste European dishes expertly prepared for foreign guests, spend time on a beach chair or go in for eco-tourism.

Those wishing to get acquainted with local traditions and their roots can go to the Thai village at Thepkasattri Road, Thalang National Museum, Wat Pha Thong temple. Do not forget that Thailand is a land of amazing nature, which you can immerse yourself in Khao Lak National Park, Biological Research Center, Butterfly Garden, Orchid Garden and Phi Phi Island. After diving into the waters of the Adaman Sea, playing golf and visiting nightclubs and bars that are open until the morning, it’s time to go to the SPA, where the hands of Thai massage masters will take off the tiredness from outdoor activities.

The climate in Phuket is tropical and humid. There are two distinct seasons, the rainy season from May to October and the dry season from November to April. The temperature fluctuates between 21°C and 35°C.

Pattaya is famous for another type of recreation. The main attraction of the city is Walking Street. The action on this street begins in the evening, when the sun sets, traffic is blocked here and the road is filled with tourists. There are go-go bars, striptease shows, restaurants and cafes, discos. Here you can also visit the famous Transgender Show “Alcazar show”.

But let’s not imagine Pattaya as a nest of debauchery – despite the glory of Walking Street, traditional types of recreation are also available to tourists here. Be sure to visit the Nong Nooch Orchid Park, listed in the Guinness Book of Records, which contains all the most beautiful trees and flowers that are in Thailand, the Samut Prakan tiger zoo and crocodile farm, Khao Kiao reserve, Monkey Mountain and Mini Siam Park.

The sea in Pattaya is muddy (the exception is Jomtien Beach), so tourists prefer to go to the water park or to the islands – there are several coral islands with crystal clear water and sandy beaches within a 45-minute boat ride. One of the most popular islands is Koh Larn.

The climate in the resort is tropical. The rainy season lasts from May to October. Winter, with dry weather, lasts from November to February, followed by the hot season. At this time, strong heat and high humidity are established. The ideal time to visit Pattaya is winter. There is practically no rain at this time. According to experts, Pattaya has its own microclimate. Sea hurricanes do not reach here, so the sea is almost always calm.

Thailand’s third largest island, Koh Samui became a mecca for “savage” tourists back in the 80s, with a complete lack of any infrastructure. Now Koh Samui has become an international resort, popular with travelers from all over the world. And the reasons for that are many. The coast of the island is represented by white sand beaches, quiet bays, coconut palms, whose nuts are considered the best in the world. In the interior of the island, among the untouched forests, there are two beautiful waterfalls Khid Lad and Namuang. You can also enjoy exotic fauna and flora while visiting the butterfly garden, monkey show, snake farm and elephant rides. Tourists will be able to see the sea world of the Gulf of Thailand both during exciting diving and in the local aquarium.

Among the cultural attractions, the most popular is the Van Hin Ngu temple complex, which has a huge 12-meter statue of a seated Buddha, towering on a hill.

Koh Samui has a well-developed nightlife, so after sunset there is sure to be a place where you can dissolve in relaxed fun, forgetting about worries and fuss. You can also get rid of the troublesome world in the daytime – many tourists come here to devote their time to yoga. On the island, there are both yoga centers and specialized hotels designed for people practicing this ancient art.

Koh Samui, like the rest of southern Thailand, has only two distinct climatic seasons. The rainy season is from May to December, and the dry season is from January to April. The rains during the rainy season are heavy but not long lasting. However, the division into seasons is rather arbitrary, and the rainy season may shift, monsoons are possible in November.

Capital of Thailand – Bangkok was once a small port and trading center that served the capital of Thailand at that time – the city of Ayutthaya, even its name translates as “the place where olives grow.” It is now Thailand’s largest city, bubbling and multi-faceted, with bamboo shacks and high-rise glittering buildings, streets and high-speed overpasses. Asian noisy, Bangkok captivates tourists with its color and pace.

One of the most important places in Bangkok is the palace complex, including the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. In total, there are more than 400 temples and monasteries in the city: among them the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (there is an amazing 46-meter statue of the reclining Buddha here), Wat Uran, the Temple of the Dawn, Wat Ratchanadda Temple.

It is impossible to imagine a visit to Bangkok without visiting Suan Lum – the main street, where cafes and restaurants with a wide choice of cuisine, shopping centers are concentrated. There is also a night bazaar, in the back streets of which you can buy souvenirs, clothes, handicrafts and much more. The unique puppet theater “Joe Louis Puppet Theatre” is also located on the central street.

Another famous “shopping” place in Bangkok is the floating market. And it’s simply impossible to imagine a full-fledged program of visiting Bangkok without a tour along the river — the river, which brought the city the title of “Venice of the East”, remains its heart.

The climate of Bangkok is subequatorial. Warm all year round, there are no noticeable seasonal temperature fluctuations. There is a wet season (May-October) and a dry season (mid-November – end of April). In winter, precipitation is relatively rare, in September the precipitation rate is almost 350 mm.

Pattaya – Freedom Travel

Pattaya is perhaps the most popular resort of the Thai kingdom among our compatriots. Tours here and holidays here are cheaper than in Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi or Samet. Pattaya is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand, on an area of about 50 square kilometers. The city boasts an abundance of beaches, a huge selection of hotels for every taste and budget, many entertainment facilities, after visiting which every tourist will not remain indifferent.

A little more than 100 kilometers separates Pattaya and the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, the main airport of the country, Suvarnabhumi, can be reached in about one and a half to two hours, depending on the traffic situation, because traffic jams are not uncommon in Pattaya.

Distance Novosibirsk Pattaya: 4937.35 km.

Flight time: 7 hours 30 minutes to Bangkok.

The climate is tropical: Pattaya is warm and often hot all year round. There are three seasons:

Dry – from November to February, the so-called “high” season, the weather is dry, comfortable temperature is around 30 degrees.

In March, April and May, intense heat comes, the air warms up to 40 degrees, the humidity is high;

From June to October – the so-called “low season”, the temperature is slightly above 30 degrees, the sky is often covered with clouds, rains are frequent. Many people like to relax during this season, since the sea is warmer than in the “dry season”, the sun does not burn as much and, for many, this is a decisive advantage – there is an abundance of fruit in the markets at low prices.

The most popular form of transport in Pattaya is by far the tuk-tuk. This is a converted pickup truck, in the trunk of which passengers are transported under a canopy that protects from the sun. The fare is 10 baht for tuk-tuks that run on relatively short routes at a slow pace, and 20 baht for tuk-tuks “expresses” that travel fast and far. It is also convenient to move around the city by motorcycle taxi, which is very convenient during traffic jams.

Intercity communication, as elsewhere in Thailand, is predominantly by bus. The buses are comfortable, air-conditioned, the roads in the country are good. But if you want more comfort and speed, take a taxi.

The main beaches for vacationers in Pattaya are Naklua, Central (Pattaya Beach), Jomtien, Pratamnak and Kozi Beach. Pratumnak and Cozy Beach are cleaner than the other three, but also more inaccessible – tuk-tuks do not go there. Who wants not only a clean beach, but also clean water, he can go to the island of Koh Lan. From Bali Hai Pier, ferries run all day long to this clean and very beautiful island.

In Pattaya, there are all the possibilities not only for the beach, but also for excursions. In the top of the most popular excursions are a trip to the River Kwai, a trip to the temple of Angkor Wat and an excursion to Bangkok.

In an excursion to the River Kwai, the main thing is not even spending the night on the river and rafting in life jackets, but intermediate points of the journey. Erawan National Park is a unique nature, a cascade of stunningly beautiful waterfalls and the opportunity to dive, swim and be “massaged by fish” in each of them. True, these “fish” are many times larger than the spa aquariums in Pattaya, so bruises can remain. But the main thing to remember is that these fish are afraid of moving objects, so move more cheerfully – and they are not afraid of you. The hot mineral springs of Hit Dat are usually visited in the morning on the second day of the excursion, and it is difficult to imagine a more pleasant morning than spent in three pools of healing water, one hotter than the other. It’s like a fairy tale about the Little Humpbacked Horse – from one cauldron to another, then to a third – and the person is transformed. Well, the traditional hit of Thailand – elephant riding is also included in the standard program of excursions to the River Kwai. You can’t do without stops for shopping either, in one place you can buy medicinal herbs, in another very tasty Kwai honey, in the third unique Thai teas, as a rule, no one from an excursion to the Kwai River comes without shopping.

Angkor Wat is a unique building not only in Cambodia or Southeast Asia, but also in the whole world. This is the place that everyone should see. Compatriots who grew up on Soviet cartoons will remember the lost temple from Mowgli: huge trees that grew right on the ancient walls.

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, and therefore it would be strange not to visit it, especially since it is much closer to go to it than to the Kwai River or, moreover, the Cambodian city of Siem Reap, near which Angkor Wat is located. Bangkok has: an observation deck on the tallest building in the city, the Baiyoke Sky Hotel, an aquarium, Siam Park amusement park, the royal palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and much more. There are different programs of excursions in Bangkok – choose the ones that suit your taste.
