Aquapark Costa Teguise

The biggest of the parks in Aquapark Costa Teguise, this park is also the oldest but it does have more slides to enjoy and better for slightly older kids. Don’t worry if you are staying in Playa Blanca because the Aquapark has a bus pick up to take you for a full day of fun. Just book with us and we will arrange a time and pick up point for you and send you official Aquapark Lanzarote tickets. Plus as a bonus, you will even get a free snack at the snack bar on us.

Rancho Texas is one of the best attractions in Lanzarote to visit and whilst situated out of Playa Blanca it is really easy to get to as they offer a free bus pick up. All you need to do is book your Rancho Texas Park Ticket with us and we will arrange for the free bus to pick you up at or close to your accommodation so you can enjoy a full day at the Rancho Texas park seeing the animals, the shows and much more. Once you have wandered around the park seen the shows, had photos with the sea lions or even took part in the swimming with sealions option (also needs to be booked in advance). You can relax and cool off in the huge pool area that also has two massive slides and lots of splash zones for the kids. As far as things to do in Playa Blanca or Lanzarote this has to be on your list.

Timanfaya National Park Tours

Playa Blanca is the closest resort to the Timanfaya National Park which make a visit to Timanfaya a must-do for your list of things to do in Playa Blanca. There are a number of ways you can visit Timanfaya or (Fire mountain) to see the live volcanoes.

Of course, if you have hired a car you can drive there and pay to get in but please be warned the wait is painful. There will be a huge line of cars waiting to get in and all the buses full of people will just drive on past and go straight through. Plus you cannot drive your hire car around Timanfaya you have to get on one of the official buses anyway so we highly suggest and recommend you take one of the Lanzarote Timanfaya National Park tours.

Short South Tour of Lanzarote from Playa Blanca

The fastest and easiest way to see the best of Timanfaya and the South of Lanzarote is with the short south tour. Ideal if you want to do the best bits and get back to the hotel or accommodation for lunch and also great if you have kids with you.

The Lanzarote volcano short south tour will pick you up from Playa Blanca, take you to see Timanfaya National Park and the demonstrations. You will get to drive around the Luna route where NASA test their space buggies and you will also see how they cook chicken over the heat of the live volcanoe. From there you will get to take part in the optional camel ride before heading to El Golfo the emerald lake. This half-day tour is ideal and will have you back in Playa Blanca by 14:00. Book the Lanzarote volcano short south tour with us and save money today.

Full day tour of the Lanzarote South

If you fancy seeing more of the south of Lanzarote which is where Playa Blanca is based then the Lanzarote volcano south tour is a full day so you can really get the most out of your Lanzarote tour of the South. It will see all of the short south taking in Timanfaya National Park, the Lanzarote camel ride and El Golfo. You will also get to see the salt pans, Los Hevideros and stop in a quaint little village for lunch before heading for a tour around La Geria the Lanzarote wine regions. This is a great day out in Lanzarote touring the south of the island from Playa Blanca.

The Lanzarote Grand Tour

Ok so Playa Blanca is in the south of Lanzarote but what’s in the North? Well, the Timanfaya Lanzarote Grand Tour will give you the best of both worlds. With a full tour of the south including Timanfaya and the Lanzarote camels, the wine regions and of course El Golfo. After lunch, you will also head to the North of the island to see the amazing sights of Haria and also visit some of Cesar Manrique’s works including the Jameos Del Agua. This is by far the most popular excursion in Lanzarote and one of the most popular things to do from Playa Blanca.

Lanzarote boat trips from Playa Blanca

As Playa Blanca is home to port that links Lanzarote and Fuerteventura then there are many Lanzarote boat trips from Playa Blanca. The harbour however is more of a commercial harbour for fishing and Lanzarote ferry services, most catamaran cruises in Lanzarote depart from Puerto Calero. Playa Blanca also has the luxury Marina Rubicon where you can see many of the luxury boats and yachts on the island and there are lots of bars and restaurants for you to try. The most famous boat trips in Playa Blanca are the Lanzarote ferry to Fuerteventura. There is a full array of Lanzarote boat trips that all pick up from Playa Blanca

Lanzarote to Fuerteventura Ferry Service

From Playa Blanca, you can get a great view of the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura and if you want to take the trip over then you are best placed as the port is on your doorstep. There are three main Lanzarote ferry services. The Armas, The Fred Olsen, that are more for locals and those with cars and also ship the delivery drivers and haulage companies between the islands. These two are the most expensive also.

We however have the best solution for you if you want a ferry from Playa Blanca to Fuerteventura we recommend the brand new purpose-built fast ferry which is not only the best priced but has also been made just for tourists. The Ferry is amazing with a huge outside area and a comfortable inside area with leather seats and a bar. Every day is busy in the Playa Blanca harbour so if you are planning on taking a ferry we recommend you book a ticket in advance and we can send you the timetable and you can go on any of the crossings any day that you want with our Lanzarote flexible ferry ticket.

If you fancy seeing more of the island and you have spent a few days looking over at Fuerteventura and wondering what the long strip of golden sand is all about then you should look at the Lanzarote Fuerteventura sand dunes excursion that will take you on a tour of Fuerteventura and give you time to see the incredible Fuerteventura sand dunes. This is where the latest wonder woman film was filmed and many other Star Wars films.

Lanzarote catamaran cruises from Playa Blanca

The best catamarans in Lanzarote are just outside of Playa Blanca in the next resort of Puerto Calero, however, with such proximity they will come and pick you up for free if you want to spend a day cruising the oceans. The catamaran cruised go to Papagayo bay which is Playa Blancas flagship beach that we will tell you about shortly. Catlanza Lanzarote is the leading company on the island for catamaran excursions and they have the family cruise most days and also the adults-only Catlanza cruise with no children so you have a choice. There is also an option for you to hire the catamaran for a minimum of 6 people on the Catlanza private boat hire in Lanzarote.

Atlantic Adventure Lanzarote boat trip from Playa Blanca

One of the Lanzarote boat trips that do depart from Playa Blanca is the Atlantic Adventure family day. This is as it suggests not a relaxing day but a day of adventure out on the ocean to Papagayo and is ideal for families of all ages as it has swimming, snorkeling, inflatables, and kayaks as well as a slide at the back of the boat. It is also the best price Lanzarote boat trip available.

This will probably take you a couple of hours but there are many stop-offs on the way to enjoy a snack or a drink and watch the world go by.

You could also do the famous walk up Montana Roja which is the big red mountain that looks out over Playa Blanca. This is the most unique way to see Lanzarote on and off-road and you will certainly visit places the normal tours just won’t take you. There is a free pick-up from Playa Blanca so you can experience Lanzarote buggies any day.

Playa Blanca Beaches and Papagayo Bay

Playa Blanca in English translates to “white beaches” so it’s no surprise that Playa Blanca has some of the best beaches on the island. The one everyone talks about is Papagayo beach which can only be accessed off-road or by foot. Its stunning white beach is set over many different areas and bays, some of these are family-friendly and some are nudest beaches.

If you take one of the many Lanzarote boat trips they will all drop anchor here in Papagayo Bay as the waters are crystal clear and it is sheltered from the wind. The I Love Papagayo catamaran cruise is an ideal way to see and experience Papagayo.
