Best day out in lanzarote year after year

Fantastic experience. We’ve been many times before and it never disappoints. This time they also had the dolphins and the cave show. Phenomenal.
Afternoon spent in the pool area which is also always brilliant, though the pool was too cold for me to get in (and I’m no wimp, I’d been frequently in our hotels cold pool) but husband and child had fun in there.

Was soll man dazu sagen , 50 € pro Person für ….. was eigentlich? Kinder werden am Lasse drei Meter über den Boden gezogen, eine halbe Stunde lang. “That’s Entertainment” , fragt sich nur für wen. Dann wird über die Lautstärke festgestellt welcher der Sektoren als erstes Essen fassen darf. Der leiseste muss nehmen was übrig bleibt ? Aha … wie erwähnt 50 € pro Person. So viel billiges Bier oder Sangria kann man gar nicht trinken um sich das schön zu sauf..

Irgendwie hat man das Gefühl bei RTL 2 live dabei zusein, und das auch noch in der ersten Reihe.

Good for the whole family.

Worth a visit but a wee it expensive at €36. Bus service to the zoo is included in the price. A large cafe/restaurant has room for many people. One black mark is there’s only one bus back which is at 17.20 so if you come out at say 16.20 you’ve an hour to wait.

Expensive, but worth it

A great place for a really fun day out. Totally recommend the sealion interaction experience as it was amazing. Wonderful park that is really worth visiting and suitable for all ages.

Fantastic and entertaining day out. The dolphins and keepers were the highlight although all displays were top class. I had the best pizza for a long time in the restaurant. There’s lots of trees to shelter from the sun and good play parks for kids.
The only grump is that the bus time going back to the resort is shown as 17.20 pm. We didn’t know or read anywhere that that is the only bus. We assumed buses would run back at regular intervals same as pick up in the resort. Maybe you could organise one bus about an hour earlier. Some wee kids were getting really grumpy hanging about the car park.
Overall a great day out for all ages.

Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park

Thank you for this kind comment. We are delighted to read what a fantastic time you had with us. Our bus is a free service and we only offer one pick up in the morning and one drop off in the afternoon, this is advertised on our website, Facebook, leaflets and even at all of the hotels. A taxi to Puerto del Carmen is roughly 5€-8€ and we have a taxi rank just outside the park exit, this is an option you could have taken instead of having “really grumpy kids hanging about the car park”.
We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay here in Lanzarote.

I like visiting zoos but I have loads of reservations on animal shows (like dolphins and seals).

I still can’t recommend seeing them but this place was not the worst. Two show per day: dolphin show lasted around 15min, sea lions maybe 20. One dolphin did not agree to do the show in the beginning and tried to swim back to the other enclosure, so they just let it slide. That dolphin joined others later. Made me think of the mental state of the animals and if the shows and other stimuli is enough for these clever animals. It isn’t but maybe some animals need to be seen so that people understand to protect and appreciate their wild counterparts. I feel torn.

The sea lions seemed to have a great relationship with their handler and their ability to swim effortlessly really fast, was amazing.

Anyway:
There weren’t many people so the place was nice to walk around. The enclosures for all animals looked clean and taken care of. Lots of people cleaning and renovating the place which is always nice to see. They were building something on the side of the park. The lions were active and noisy. None of the animal looked neglected.

We didn’t try the water park but did have a small bite at the restaurant. It was okay, did the job. 🙂

Would recommend.
My only problem was the price, but if it goes towards taking care of the animal extra well, then I understand.

Amazing selection of animals, very interactive shows and once in a lifetime loving experiences (sea lions)!

I went here today, very nice day for it (extremely sunny and hot but on Sunday it was very quiet so avoided big crowds). My partner and I did the Sea Lion experience and it was magical, such lovely animals and so friendly and the interaction was incredible. Plus the adorable Sea Lion kiss photo and extras I’m waiting to get emailed, I can’t express enough how much I enjoyed the experience. The rest of the park was great, all the animals were full of life and vigor and the selection was next to none. The level of closeness to the animals was fantastic. The birds of prey show where the birds of flew overhead that you had to duck was exciting and phenomenally well done and well trained. I had a surprising but absolutely brilliant day out. Thanks very much. ❤️

Excellent evening out

This was a great evening out and well worth the money. Drinks constantly topped up and the food was excellent. Really suprised at the quantity and quality of the food. The entertainment was fantastic, wow, they really can sing. All the acts were very professional and great fun to watch. The staff were really good and clearly enjoy what they are doing. This is especially true of Louisa it was impossible not to smile when watching her. They must be good as i actually got on the dance floor at the end to do the line dancing. I would highly recommend this as an evening out for all the family and i would certainly return.

this will take half an hour to get there via the sea front . but you might need two hours to get round the market . eating your lunch there is also great . if you like it .its on twice a week .

Very nice, but NOT wheelchair friendly!

A lovely place to walk around or have a drink or meal in the various restaurants and admire the hundreds of boats.

On the negative side, the paving has indentations between the paving stones and this is especially bad where it is cobbled. My wife uses a wheelchair and it was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT navigating over the cobbles! Come on Play Blanca, think about your walking surfaces and fill those deep gaps between cobbles and paving stones with a sensible amount of cement. It wouldn’t detract from the character, but would make it MUCH more user friendly for wheelchair and pushchair users. It is also a SERIOUS TRIP HAZZARD and we saw plenty of people who had obviously had accidents, using crutches, etc!

Lovely to visit in the sunshine

Stylish place to visit

Well worth a visit, a very picturesque and stylish place. A large market on a Saturday, bit pricey, but nice to have a look around. Upmarket shops to look at. A nice place to have a stroll around and look at the boats. A longer walk to visit Castillo de las Colarados built in 1740’s to repel pirates. Can only be viewed from outside, but the scenery is great.

A typical tourist coastal place

Marina Rubicon is the port and the main promenade in Rubicon, located in the coast of Lanzarote Island, near Castillo de las Coloradas. It is a very tourist area, where you can find beaches bars, restaurants and shops. All that a tourist need in his travel. It is a typical place to relax, walk, bath, sunbath, see views or come with the family, friends or the couple. Too tourist for me.

Marina heaven

What a beautiful place! I have always loved Marinas so on my first morning of the holiday we walked down for a peek. My first sight was of beautiful walkways and bridges connecting pretty white restaurants and shops, cobbled streets beautifully planted all with a back drop of elegant white yachts. Along with the turquoise sky and reflections it took my breath away!
If you visit on a Wednesday and Saturday you have the added attraction of the market held here too.
