Ibiza weather and climate ☀️ Water temperature 💧 Best time to visit

Of the Spanish Balearic Islands, Ibiza is the closest to the Spanish coast near Valencia. Until the 60s this island was still relatively unknown, but when it was published in the holiday brochures together with the coastal towns of Benidorm and Torremolinos, tourism got underway.

Despite the popularity, Ibiza (Eivissa) still has a special magic for many people and its original character is not lost. The north in particular consists of an area with many orchards and wooded hills. Ibiza Town looks like a Spanish city from the 50s. Many artists and hippies used to come to the island. Nowadays that has become a lot less.

The nightlife in Ibiza has a well-known reputation for a reason. You will find many bars and restaurants, but also large clubs. Some close the doors at 7:00, while others will open at this time. If you want, you can party 24 hours a day. In the winter it is a lot quieter, most clubs are closed. The real festive season takes place from the end of May to the beginning of October.

From Ibiza you can sail for an hour to the largely unspoilt island of Formentera. Enjoy quiet beaches and azure blue water here. The boat departs from the port of La Savina.

Best time to visit Ibiza

The best time to visit Ibiza, Spain is May through November. In this period you have a warm temperature and almost no precipitation. WE TELL YOU THE REASONS WHY TO TRAVEL TO IBIZA IN OCTOBER

Charter Náutico, Nautical Charter, Nautical News, Nautical Routes

19 de October 2021

Although summer is over, we can still enjoy the last rays of the season’s sun.

If you are looking for destinations to travel in October, in this post we will tell you why Ibiza is an ideal destination for your holidays:

  1. Better prices.
At this time of year, the prices of establishments, hotels and airlines drop a lot, which allows you to take advantage of the budget for your trip much more. It is even possible that you will find hotels on the beachfront or suites at a much more affordable price than in high season, even with offers and discounts.
  2. Less crowds.
The crowds in the months of July and August make transfers on the island difficult and it may even be that staying in one place is uncomfortable.
In the month of October it is a real luxury to be able to enjoy the incredible coves and beaches of Ibiza without so much occupation.
  3. The weather is very pleasant.
The temperatures in October are much more pleasant than during the summer. The intense heat gives way to a mild climate with an average of 23ºC during the day and 16ºC at night. So the weather is marked by sunny days and somewhat cooler nights.
  4. Navigation.
The absence of wind and waves provide ideal conditions for sailing and enjoying the best coves and beaches in Ibiza.
The temperature of the water on the beaches is kept at around 21ºC, which makes bathing still pleasant. In case you want to dive or snorkel you will notice that the water is slightly colder than in the months of July or August, but you will not be cold!
  5. Family atmosphere.
The influx of people in search of a party atmosphere decreases and it becomes a slightly calmer and more relaxing travel destination, becoming a perfect environment to travel with the family or relax with your partner.
In addition, it allows you to discover “the other Ibiza” from the authentic heart of the island to the natural environment full of outdoor activities.
  6. Gastronomy.
October is the ideal month to discover gastronomy in the best restaurants on the island. The decrease in tourists will allow you to find a table more easily in that restaurant that you have heard so much about.

Now that you know the reasons to discover Ibiza in October, do not hesitate to live a nautical experience on your vacation. If you need advice, at Ibiza Central Charter we will be happy to help you.

Highlights

Half a century ago, the radiant beauty of Ibiza, the blue hip clear sea, the long, almost deserted at that time, beaches made the city, magnificent landscapes . This fateful choice for the island divided the modern history of Ibiza into two eras: “before the hippies” and “after the hippies”. The Spanish bohemians came here for the “long-haired” ones, and today the city is some kind of incredible “cocktail” where everyone has a place: both the moneybags vacationing in luxurious villas, and the “golden” youth who prefer modern five-star hotels, and romantic travelers content with staying in hostels.

Here the sun smiles at everyone, sea waves gently whisper something, everyone can find a cozy place in a fashionable restaurant or a democratic bistro. Someone will go to the beach to dance until they drop to the sounds of electronic music, others will prefer boat trips on yachts, boats, or scuba diving, and some will spend hours wandering through fashion boutiques, not knowing which outfit to stop their eyes on.

Ibiza boasts of its numerous historical sights, because it is not for nothing that its Old Town, surrounded by mighty stone walls, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The history of the city of Ibiza

In his historical treatises, the ancient Greek historian and mythographer Diodorus Siculus claims that the history of the city of Ibiza dates back to 654 BC. e., when the Phoenician colonists founded a seaport here. They named him Ibossim. The port was surrounded by fortified walls and over time became an important link in the Mediterranean trade routes.

With the decline of Phoenicia, the power of Carthage was established here, and in the II century BC. e. along with other islands of the Balearic archipelago, Ibiza was conquered by the Romans. Becoming Roman, the city received the name “Ebusus”. It had a federal status, as evidenced by the fact of minting its own money. On the coins found during excavations, on one side you can see the inscription “Self-governing island”, and on the other, the image of Bes, a deity that was worshiped here back in the days of the Phoenicians. This is a confirmation that the Romanization of Ibiza did not differ in cardinality, and the locals managed to preserve their ancient beliefs. The Ibisians also saved traditional crafts – the extraction of salt from sea water, fishing and growing fruits and vegetables.

Between the 5th and 9th centuries, Ibiza was subjected to barbarian raids, formally becoming part of Byzantium, after which it fell under the rule of the Mauritanian emirs. The city changed its name again – during the period of Arab rule it was called Yebisakh. The influence of the Moorish culture is still felt here, which is manifested in the architectural and musical traditions, the linguistic features of the island dialect.

In 1236 Jaime I, King of Aragon and Count of Barcelona, conquered Ibiza, driving out the Arabs. The legend says that the impregnable city fell due to the betrayal of the ruler’s brother, who showed the Spaniards a secret passage to the fortress, taking revenge on a relative for a personal offense. This move can be seen today in the historical part of Ibiza.

The Catalans named the city in their own way – Eivissa, but in proper Spanish and English this name sounds like “Ibiza”. In 1986, the name Eivissa received official status. The inhabitants of the island themselves call their main city Villa d’Iivissa or simply Villa.

Until the beginning of the 18th century, a system of self-government was preserved on the island in various forms, but its inhabitants had to pay a high price for independence: they were forced to fight off the constant attacks of sea pirates on their own. In 1715, the Spanish king of the Bourbon dynasty, Philip V, abolished the autonomy of Ibiza. From 19In 83, when the Balearic Islands again became an autonomous region of Spain, the city of Ibiza received the status of the administrative center of the island.

Tourist seasons

Tourists begin to come to Ibiza en masse in May, when the air temperature during the day is about +22 °С, and the sea water warms up to +19 °С. It is comfortable here in June: an average of +26 °C. In July-August, it gets hot, the thermometer is approaching +30 ° C, gloomy skies and rain are an extremely rare exception. The water temperature in summer varies from +21 to +27 °С. Summer in Ibiza is the party season. At this time, young people from all over Europe are hosting here, for whom a beach holiday is just a pleasant addition to reckless parties in trendy clubs and bars.

The weather is also pleasant in autumn: in September it is about +27 °С in the daytime, in November it is +18…+20 °С. Even in the last month of autumn you can swim: the water temperature does not drop below +19 °C. In October-November there are intermittent rains.

The rainiest month is December, but cloudy weather does not last long, there are many more clear days. The average temperature in winter is +13…+15 °C.

City walk

The architecture of Ibiza is original and charming in its eclecticism. Old, well-maintained houses, villas, many modern buildings have been preserved here. The streets of the city, with these pretty buildings nestled closely together, descend from the hills to the blue sea and form a single whole with the stone or hedges surrounding them. Getting around in Ibiza is easy. If you turn your back to the sea on the Paseo Maritimo promenade, then the Old Town and the Paseo Vara de Rei promenade will be on your left, and the modern part of the city will be to your right and ahead.

Paseo Vara de Rei stretches for 300 meters and is considered the heart of the city. There are many historical buildings with colonial architecture, terraces, shops, bars, restaurants. Along it, under the canopy of centuries-old trees, there are stone benches where you can sit in the summer heat and watch the street life. Fairs, concerts, festivals, costume processions are held on the embankment throughout the year.

Adjacent to the port of Ibiza is the La Marina quarter, where it is pleasant to wander around at any time of the day. It traces its history back to the Middle Ages, when the Catalans conquered Ibiza and began to build new buildings outside the walls. The architecture of the quarter is typical for the island: on the narrow streets there are crowded neatly whitewashed houses with tiny windows, balconies, balustrades, here there are shops selling products of local artisans, and elegant boutiques nearby.

La Marina houses art galleries, small hotels and a myriad of cafes, restaurants, bars, which are lively and crowded not only in season but also in winter. With the onset of dusk, the music in the quarter is louder and louder, and, illuminated by neon lights, it becomes a truly magical place.

In the port itself, you can see the obelisk, which is often called the only monument to pirates in the world. In fact, we are talking about privateers – corsairs who had a license from the authorities of their countries to attack the ships of hostile states, sink them or rob them. The booty partially went to the state treasury, but a good sum remained in the pockets of the conquerors of the sea. Of special artistic value, built in 19The monument does not represent the year 15, but serves as a good reference point in the city.

La Marina is adjacent to the Sa Peña quarter. It stretches from the port to the foot of the hills, over which lies the Upper Town – the main historical attraction of Ibiza. The narrow, stone-paved streets of the La Marina district, its low houses in the courtyards decorated with flower beds and fragrant shrubs, Gothic buildings, historic hotels, on the facades of which the handprints of famous guests are imprinted, are conducive to pleasant walks. But not everywhere there is a peaceful atmosphere. Street Carrer de la Mare de Deu, also known as Virgin Street or Avenue of the Virgin, penetrating the entire quarter, is one of the favorite places for those who like to have fun until the morning. There are bars, restaurants, discos literally at every step. It is also known as the center of gay tourism on the island.

Sa Peña approaches the very walls of the Old Town, which is located on the slope of one of the hills overlooking the port of Ibiza. At its very top is the Upper City – La Dalt Vila, surrounded by powerful walls with bastions forming a heptagon. This quarter is a kind of ensemble that includes squares and narrow lanes, cult and secular historical buildings. It is quite large, and in order to properly examine everything, it will take a lot of time. Take care of the shoes – they should be comfortable, it will be difficult to walk on cobblestone streets and squares in heels.

The main entrance to the city is called Portal de ses Taules. It is located between two bastions – San Joan and Santa Lucia, and was built at the end of the 16th century. In those days, the ditch in front of the gate was crossed by a boardwalk, which could be easily dismantled in case of danger of attack. Later, the flooring was replaced by a drawbridge, and at the beginning of the 20th century, a stationary stone structure was erected here. The gate is decorated with the royal coat of arms. On both sides of the entrance are Roman sculptures found during excavations. These are copies, the originals are in the Archaeological Museum.

The first fortifications on the hill were built by the Carthaginians, but they have not survived, but the remains of medieval earthen ramparts and fortress walls with watchtowers can still be seen today. The grandiose fortifications that will appear to your eyes were erected in the 16th century at the behest of King Philip II, who paid tribute to the strategic position of Ibiza in the Mediterranean. The fortress was built to hold off the constant attacks of the Barbary pirates. The length of the walls along the perimeter is about two kilometers, and their height in some places reaches 22 m. This stronghold is one of the two fortresses of the Renaissance era that have been fully preserved. The second is part of the fortifications in La Valletta (Malta).

In addition to the Portal de ses Taules, the main entrance to the Upper City, there are four more, and each of them will lead you to one of the historical corners, from where your acquaintance with La Dalt Vila will begin. It is very easy to get lost here among the numerous historical sights, shops, cafes, art galleries, but, in any case, you will not pass by the iconic monuments of the quarter. Entrance to temples and castles is free, and for viewing their collections and visiting museums you will need to pay from 1 to 3 €.

The most spectacular structures of La Dalt Vila are located at the top and form a magnificent architectural ensemble. This is the castle of Ibiza and the Cathedral of Santa Maria. The castle is the oldest building on the island. It was built by the Arabs in the XII century. During the Middle Ages, it was supplemented with bastions, a fortress wall and 12 towers. Behind the fortifications were the houses of the townspeople and the Cathedral of Santa Maria. Over the past centuries, the appearance of the castle has changed more than once, acquiring the features of different architectural styles, but Gothic and Renaissance elements prevail here. Externally, the castle looks grandiose, but its interior decor is very modest.

Behind the castle wall on the Cathedral Square is the Cathedral of Santa Maria. In 1235, when the Catalans conquered Ibiza, there was a mosque here, in turn erected by the Arabs on the site of a Roman temple. Since the Christianization of the islanders was in the first place with the new rulers of Ibiza, they decided not to destroy the religious Muslim building, but to rebuild it in order to quickly start Catholic services. In the middle of the 15th century, 5 chapels dedicated to the most revered saints of the Spaniards were erected here. In the 16th century, the appearance of the castle changed again, acquiring distinct features of Catalan Gothic. A global restoration was carried out in the 18th century, and today Baroque style features predominate in its appearance and interiors.

The Archaeological Museum is located on the Cathedral Square. Its halls housed an exposition chronologically divided into 6 periods: from prehistoric times to the conquest of Ibiza by the Spaniards.

In this corner of La Dalt Vila, everything breathes the medieval era: narrow winding streets, cobblestone pavements, old houses where people still live today. Many of them today house souvenir shops, galleries and exhibition halls, cafes and restaurants.

Heading down from the Cathedral Square, you will see the beautiful Church of Santo Domingo, the second largest church in Ibiza. It was built in the 17th century. Be sure to stop by here to admire the magnificent interior decoration of the cathedral. Santo Domingo adjoins the Dominican monastery. The monastery began to be built in 1592 year according to the project of Genoese architects, construction was completed in the middle of the 17th century. After the confiscation of Mendisabal in the 19th century, which included the dissolution of monastic orders and the nationalization of their possessions, the monastery became the seat of the city authorities.

By the way, the city authorities are kind to the history of the city, organizing various interesting events in La Dalt Vila. Recently, the so-called “Theatre visits” have been popular. They are held for tourists all year round on Saturdays at dusk. During the trip, tourists are accompanied by actors who act out thematic scenes at the main attractions. The tour lasts about an hour and a half, the cost is 10 € for adults, 5 € for children from 5 to 16 years old, for kids – free of charge.

On your way down from the Upper Town, don’t miss the Museum of Modern Art, located in one of the halls of the former Armory of Ibiza. Here is an excellent collection of paintings by local and foreign artists who are part of the Friends of Ibiza association, founded in 1969. Many of its participants, fascinated by the beauty of the island, bought property in Ibiza and stayed here forever.

If you’re not tired after walking around La Dalt Vila, return to the Paseo Vara de Rei and from here, via De Espana, head to the new quarters of Ibiza, such as Figueretas. Its streets descend to the beach of the same name. Life in this corner of Ibiza, where numerous bars, discos, hotels and apartments for rent are located, is in full swing at any time of the year, but in summer there is simply nowhere to fall.

On the hill between the Upper Town and Figueretas is another famous landmark of Ibiza – the Puig d’es Molins necropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first burials here date back to the 7th century BC. e., when the Carthaginians buried their loved ones in Ibiza, considering this land sacred. They dug caves on the hillside, where they placed sarcophagi with the bodies of the dead, it was customary to fill up the entrances to the grottoes with stone blocks. In the 1st century BC e. the area of the necropolis was supposedly 50,000 m², and the number of crypts exceeded 3,000. The Romans, who came to the island after the Carthaginians, also buried their dead here. Excavations in the area began at 1929, and in 1968 the necropolis got its own museum. In its halls you will find one of the finest collections of Punic art in the world.

Beaches

There are three beaches within the city of Ibiza: Ses Figueretes, Talamanca, Playa d’en Bossa. Each of them is well equipped. The infrastructure includes water entertainment centers, cafes, showers, toilets. Entrance to all beaches during the day is free, you will have to pay for the use of a sunbed, an umbrella (12 € each), you can rent a tent for 200 €.

Ses Figueretes boasts a location near the city center and a picturesque landscape: its miniature coves effectively separate the rocky elevations, creating cozy corners for relaxation. The sandy slope here is gentle, and in some places you need to walk about 50 m to fully swim. It is separated from the city roads by the Ses Pitiuses alley, where cafes, restaurants, shops of artists and artisans are located.

Talamanca Beach, elegantly curved along the coastline, is located a quarter of an hour’s walk from the center of Ibiza. A walk here along the promenade, where cafes, restaurants, casinos, shops are open, will be very pleasant. The beach stretches in the bay of Cala Talamanca for 900 m. The atmosphere here is calm, as thrill-seeking youngsters “break away” in other places, for example, in Playa d’en Bossa.

The huge beach of the Playa d’en Bossa resort area is located on the southern outskirts of Ibiza. It is the longest on the island, stretching for almost 3 km. Fashionable clubs, restaurants, hotels crowd each other along the beach, many of which are the most fashionable on the island. Playa d’en Bossa is home to the most famous clubs in Ibiza. On most of the beach, the atmosphere is somewhat crazy: here from morning to night they dance, drink, loud electronic music sounds everywhere, popular DJs perform, and costume shows take place.

If you get tired of the noise, take a walk along the beach: the farther from the city, the calmer the situation becomes. This way you can walk to the nudist beach Playa d’Es Cavallett, also popular with windsurfers. Even further away is the Playa de Migjorn beach with a luxurious promenade.

At the very tip of Playa d’en Bossa, there is an observation tower, a popular attraction among tourists. From its height you will have magnificent views of the coast.

Ibiza Entertainment

The fame of Ibiza nights has long spread around the world. Clubs and discos of the city are its main attractions and centers of attraction for young people. In club bars, the average cost of a strong cocktail is from 8 to 15 €, a glass of beer or soft drink is from 6 to 10 €.

Every self-respecting party-goer is simply obliged to visit the Pacha club. It opened in 1973 and today is famous all over the world. Its size is staggering. The main hall of the club has several levels, and more than 3,000 people can have fun on its five dance floors at the same time. World-famous DJs perform here, and all shows amaze with their magnificent scenery. The club is a quarter of an hour walk from the port of Ibiza.

The Space Club, one of the oldest on the island, is also famous for its Sunday “parties” that last 22 hours non-stop. It is located on the beach of Playa d’en Bossa, close to the famous Bora-Bora bar, where the fun starts early in the morning. During the day, the audience dances on the sand or dining tables, and closer to the night, everyone gradually moves to the indoor dance floor. Entrance to Bora-Bora is free during the day.

Epic parties are held on the high seas on the Oceanbeat. Paying 80 €, you will have the opportunity to dance to great music, swim in the pool or refresh yourself in the sea by diving from a special bridge, tasting a lot of alcoholic beverages. Everyone is usually delighted with a traditional champagne shower.

Adherents of a more measured lifestyle will also have a great time in Ibiza. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy water skiing (12 €/15 min), jet skis (10.5 €/15 min), go kayaking (30 € per day), fly over the sea on a parachute (36 € /1 hour). There are good diving spots near the city.

If you are traveling with children, go to the Aguamar Water Park for fun. It is located on Playa d’en Bosa, near the Space Club. For kids, children’s slides and paddling pools are equipped here. Thrill-seekers will not be bored in the water park either. At their service are slides with dizzying descents, extreme rides “Black Hole” and “Kamikaze”. Near the attractions there is a recreation area with pools, sun loungers and showers. Those who wish can sit in a restaurant or bar.

Ibiza – Spain, holidays on the island of Ibiza: photos, videos of tourists

  • on the map
  • Ibiza (Ibiza, Spanish Ibiza, cat. Eivissa) is an island in the Balearic Islands archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. Located 80 km from the coast of Spain and belongs to this country. The total area is 571.6 sq. km. The population is 135,000 people. The capital – the city of Ibiza – bears the same name as the island. Ibiza is more correctly called, but among Russian speakers it has not yet taken root and everyone calls it the old fashioned way.

This is one of the most party places in the Old World, and if you are young, active and love club music, then there is simply no better place to spend your vacation. Most clubs are in San Antonio and the capital. Parties take place from June to the end of September, but the peak is in August-September, when world-famous DJs come here. The most famous clubs are Pacha, Eden, Es Paradis, Amnesia, Privilege, Space, DC10. Entrance fee from 15 euros.

But entertainment is only one facet of the resort. Do not forget that Ibiza is located on the Mediterranean coast, which means it is a great place for a beach holiday. If you are not interested in parties, then it is better to find a quiet place, away from the main entertainment centers. There are many such beaches in the northern part of the island. Even at the peak of the season it is quite calm here and there are no discos.

You can also come with a sightseeing purpose from October to April, when the club life calms down throughout the resort and is quite quiet even in the very center.

    Brief history

The history of Ibiza dates back several millennia. Rock paintings were found, which were made around 2000 BC.

In 654 Phoenician colonists founded a port in the Balearic Islands, named Ibossim. This name comes from the name of the Phoenician god Bes. From 123 BC the island was colonized by the Romans. In 535 he passed to Byzantium.

In 900, it was conquered by the Arabs – the Moors, who had a significant impact on the culture of the island.

In the 13th century – the island, thanks to King James the First, became part of the kingdom of Aragon.

Since 1701, after the war of the Spanish succession, it is under the rule of the Bourbons. In 1715, the Spanish King Philip introduces the Castilian names of towns and villages here.

In 1936, the Spanish Civil War was raging. The victory of General Franco in 1939 meant that Ibiza came under the tutelage of Spain.

The first tourists appeared here in the mid-1950s. Or rather, they were not even tourists, but seekers of freedom and heaven on earth – hippies.

In 1958, an airport was built and ordinary people came here, wishing for a beach holiday.

Since 1983 Ibiza has been part of the autonomous region of the Balearic Islands, together with Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera.

In 1999, many of the island’s monuments were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

    Why go to Ibiza

It is worth going to Ibiza not only for partying young people and for a beach holiday. The island is also interesting for lovers of ancient sights. There are many cultural monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. These are castles, the Phoenician ruins of Sa Caleta, the necropolis of Mount Mills (Puig des Molins), the monuments of the Old City (Dalt Vila) and much more.

Many beaches are marked with the Blue Flag, which indicates their cleanliness. Therefore, local waters are rich in exotic flora and fauna. It is especially worth going to Ibiza for beginner divers. For them, there are many schools and diving centers where you can get the first diving lessons.

Fans of snorkeling will also like it here. For this, the best places are on the northwest coast of the island – at Es Portitxol and Cala d`Aubarca, as well as at Cala Mastella, Cala Moli and Cala Codolar. It is not necessary to take all the equipment with you, as masks, fins and snorkels are sold everywhere. From the local inhabitants you can see sea bass, brown or multi-colored wrasse, mackerel and even barracuda.

Finally, Ibiza offers great opportunities for water activities, such as windsurfing and yachting. The famous Ruta de Sal regatta is held here every year before Easter. In addition, there are jet skis, skiing, parasailing, karting, golf, horseback riding. In a word, finding entertainment is not difficult.

Shopping is not the last place. Clubwear and all kinds of club accessories are very popular. Similar stores are concentrated in the central district of the capital – La Marina. You can also buy souvenirs: wicker bags and hats, ceramics, tapestries, handicrafts and much more.

Ibiza has a Mediterranean climate. The best time for a beach holiday is from June to October, when daytime temperatures are within +24…+30 degrees, and the water warms up to +21…+26. Weather in the UAE in October – is it worth going to the sea in Dubai

Locals jokingly say that there are two seasons in the UAE – hot and very hot. For an inexperienced tourist, it may seem that the temperature here is comfortable throughout the year, however, this is not the case. During the summer months, the air heats up to such an extent that even swimming in the sea does not bring relief. Europeans prefer to relax in Dubai from November to April, but travelers from the CIS countries are more accustomed to high summer temperatures, so they open the season in October and rest until May. The topic of our article is the weather in the UAE in October.

General information about the weather in the UAE

The United Arab Emirates are located in the tropical desert zone, it is the geographical location that determines the weather in the country – very hot. A distinctive feature of the climate of the Emirates is the reduced oxygen content in the air – no more than 80% of the established norm. This can cause feelings of drowsiness and lethargy. Precipitation in any form is a rare phenomenon for the country – there have been cases when the number of clear days in a year reaches 360.

This is important! In recent years, such natural disasters as sandstorms and hurricanes have become more frequent, they happen in the first half of spring. The farther from the sea coast the resort, the higher the likelihood of being at the epicenter of a sandstorm.

Conventionally, there are two climatic zones in the UAE – coastal and desert. In desert regions, there are large differences between day and night temperatures, the average daytime temperature is higher, and the nighttime temperature is lower compared to coastal regions.

Winter in the regions located near the coast is warm – an average of +25 °C, and at night – +14 °C. In the desert and mountainous areas, it is colder by about 3-5 °C. In winter, swimming in the Persian Gulf is not so comfortable – the water cools down to + 17- + 19 ° C. In the second half of winter and early spring, fogs occur in coastal regions.

Summer in Dubai and all the Emirates is very hot, during the day the air warms up to +45 °C, given that the water warms up to +30 °C, swimming does not bring long-awaited relief.

Good to know! In the summer months, the air humidity in the country is 90%, so the majority can hardly tolerate rest in such conditions. By the way, many locals leave in the summer for countries where the climate is milder.

The hottest month of the year is July (up to +45 °C during the day and up to +30 °C at night), and the coldest month is January (up to +21 °C during the day, up to +15 °C at night). Most precipitation falls in February.

From October to May the temperature is quite comfortable in the country – the maximum daily temperature rarely exceeds +35 °C. The sun is more gentle, respectively, high humidity is much easier to tolerate.

The weather in the Emirates in October is different at the beginning and at the end of the month. If you are planning a trip in the first days of October, take clothes made from natural fabrics with you. For a holiday at the end of the month, long-sleeved clothing may already be required.

Many people are afraid to go to the United Arab Emirates because of the hot climate. However, if you follow simple rules, you can easily endure the heat:

In October, in all tourist regions, primarily in Dubai, there is an increase in prices for accommodation, on average, prices increase by 15-25%. Of course, the most significant jump in prices occurs in the most promoted resort regions – Dubai, Abu Dhabi. If your financial resources are limited, choose a standard tour – accommodation in a three-star hotel with breakfast.

    Al Ain Zoo

The most affordable prices are presented in remote regions. For example, the emirate of Umm al-Quwain, it occupies only 1% of the total area of the country. It is attractive, first of all, for its oriental color, the opportunity to visit the date garden and amazing landscapes. The class of hotels here is reduced, respectively, the prices are lower. Another remote resort is Al Ain. It attracts admirers of historical and architectural sights. The largest zoo in the Middle East operates here.
