What to do?
Resting in the resorts of the Costa Brava, you can successfully combine a beach holiday with excursions. Moreover, there really is something to see. Well, how not to visit Barcelona, for example? Not to see the famous creation of Antonio Gaudi – Sagrada Familia? 145 km from Barcelona is the magnificent medieval city of Girona. Not far from this historical monument is the town of Figueres, where the theater-museum of Salvador Dali is located. It is also impossible not to visit the miracle of ancient architecture, the symbol of Catalonia – erected at an altitude of 721 m above sea level and surrounded by bizarre rocks, the monastery of Montserrat. A full day excursion to the independent Principality of Andorra – a duty-free zone – is a “deep dive” in shopping. In the town of Valtordera, you can see a real medieval jousting tournament, as well as become a participant in a medieval festival with dancing and dinner. Not only children, but also the older generation will enjoy visiting the Marineland dolphinarium, the Aqualeon minizoo, water parks, the largest of which is called Water World and is located near Lloret de Mar.

Ordino – Arcalis
Ordino Arcalís is the most remote resort in Andorra. Located high in the mountains, it is famous for its abundance of black slopes and is suitable for the category of skiers whose skiing level can be described as “above average”.

The thickness of the snow cover in the resort is always maximum. You can ride at an altitude of up to 2600 m. In Ordino-Arcalis there is a professional snowboard park with several jumps and a special half-pipe. There is also a freestyle area and two freeride areas. There is an instructor school. The children’s ski area is designed for children from 4 to 8 years old. The resort is served by 14 lifts. For an additional fee, you can take a helicopter to the slopes of another resort – Pas de la Casa.
Pas de la Casa – Grau Roig
The largest ski center in the country – Pas de la Casa – Grau Roig – is located on the border with France. The area is famous for its very wide pistes, which attracts beginners. The total length of the tracks is 100 km. This resort is served by 31 ski lifts.
For extreme athletes, there are trails for night skiing, a snowboard park, and a half-pipe. Both Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig have children’s ski areas.
On the Col Blanc pass (2600 m) there is a panoramic restaurant with amazing views of the picturesque highland surroundings. In the same area, at an altitude of 2350 m, there is the beautiful Lake Pesson.
The ski area Pal – Arinsal is located in the western part of Andorra, consists of two large ski bases (Pal and Arinsal), connected by a lift. The resort is ideal for beginners, amateur skiers and intermediate skiers.
The total length of trails is more than 60 km, many of them run along the slopes of deep wooded valleys. Equipped with 30 lifts. There are freestyle and freeride areas, as well as a slalom track. The stability of the snow cover is determined by the orientation of most of the slopes to the north. The largest number of snow cannons is located in the resort of Pal.

Soldeu – El Tarter
Located near the border with France, the resort is famous for its high-quality ski school and thermal springs. Ideal for beginner and intermediate skiers. Wide and gentle trails, ending with roll-outs into the valley, are suitable for beginners. An intermediate skier will choose numerous steep slopes, with a total length of up to eight kilometers. A self-confident professional will be able to try his hand “in the virgin lands” – descents along the western slopes of the Pyrenees covered with ice and virgin snow.
Equipped area for snowboarding. You can take preparatory training in a group, or use the services of a personal instructor. The resort is served by 32 lifts.
