Water parks are a great option for a family day out, especially in Spain, where the weather is usually warm and sunny, making a day of cooling off in a watery wonderland an attractive proposal. Many are located close to popular tourist resorts and offer free transport from local towns. They are a great option whatever your age, and offer everything from paddling pools to jaw-dropping thrill rides. We take a look at some of the best water parks Spain has to offer.

Siam Park, a Thailand-themed water park on the Canary Island of Tenerife, was voted the world’s top water park in 2017 by TripAdvisor users. This mammoth tribute to all things Thai (the park’s designer even obtained permission from the Thai royal family for the design, and Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn opened the park in 2008) features a wave pool with the world’s biggest artificial waves. Adrenaline junkies flock to the Tower of Power, which sends riders down a vertical, see-through slide that shoots through a pool of sharks and stingrays. For those looking for a more laid back time, there are sun beds next to the park’s own beach. Free buses run daily from nearby resorts.

From sunbathing areas and swimming pools to water slides and river rapids, the park has a range of attractions for all ages. It opened in 1985 and was Europe’s biggest water park until Siam Park opened in 2008. It is right next to the Mundomar marine animal park and combined tickets are available. Star rides include Verti-go, a turbo-charged vertical water slide that begins with the rider standing on a trap door that suddenly opens beneath them – definitely not one for the faint-hearted.

Table of Contents

Siam Park, Tenerife

Siam Park has got to be one of the best water parks in Spain. It consistently gets voted as the “Best Waterpark in the World” by TripAdvisor contributors, and it can be found close to all the action of Costa Adeje, one of Tenerife’s most popular resort towns. Even though most people staying in Costa Adeje can easily walk to the park, there’s a free bus service running every 30 minutes from various points on Playa Fanabe, for when you’re just too full of churros and Spanish tortillas to move!

What makes Siam Park so freaking awesome is that the entire park is Thai-themed. The park has exhilarating rides like the Tower of Power – a slide with a 28-meter drop that plunges down and travels through an aquarium before you exit safely! For family-friendly fun, head to the Mekong Rapids where you can ride a family-sized raft and meander through some fast rapids before rushing into a plunge pool below. The Giant is another must while in the park, the twin cyclone takes you round while you experience the full force of gravity.

Not really a fan of rides?? Then don’t worry, you can still have a load of fun at Siam Park! check out Wave Palace and paddle, surf, and play in the world’s largest artificial wave pool! If you just want to relax, then Siam beach is the one – you can lounge on the beach or swim in the tranquil 75. 2°F waters. The park even has a children’s area (A.K.A The Lost City), and The Baby Zone, so your little ones will be happy. Because of Tenerife’s GREAT year-round weather, you’ll find the park open year-round too. It’s a winner!

Aqualandia, Benidorm

If you find yourself in Benidorm, then you have to check out Aqualandia. It has GOT to be one of the best water parks in Spain, if not one in Europe! Aqualandia is full of exhilarating water slides, and in 2019, they unveiled the Cyclon, one of the world’s largest water slides! This absolute beast of a slide is 36 meters high and 200 meters long with a massive vortex tunnel. If you wanna feel zero-gravity – this is the one.

The park is open from around the end of May until September, so it’s definitely a summer destination. There are two nearby airports, and the park is easily accessible by car or plane. The park is less than 2kms away from Camping Arena Blanca, so if you really wanna make it a water park weekend, you could stay overnight to be at the park nice and early.

Aqualandia has several restaurants plus picnic areas, so you can either bring a picnic or dine out. There are lockers too so there’s no need to worry about your things. Some other top attractions are Verti-Go, with two sets of slides at 28 and 33 meters tall. The 33-meter slide is the tallest slide-capsule in the world, and depending on your body weight, you could be plunging into the waters below at over 100 km per hour! For something waaay more chilled out, spend the day chilling in Niagara, a huge pool with waterfalls, a beach, and hidden caves.

Water World, Lloret de Mar

Water World is one of the main water parks in Costa Brava. It’s filled with water rides, pools, and slides (of course), making an awesome day out for both adults and children. It’s got more thrilling rides like Water Mountain and X-Treme, both will have you soaring through the water making twists and turns. And, for any of you speed junkies out there, The Kamikaces has a 77 meter long descent that will have you racing up to 60km per hour!

It’s easy to visit from the nearby towns of Lloret de Mar, Blanes, Malgrat de Mar, Calella de la Costa, and Pineda de Mar, with a daily bus service. The pickup times are different depending on the month and location, you can check them out on Water World’s website. The park has four restaurants and a bar, each one serving your typical “fun day out” foods like burgers, pasta, and pizza (is it cheat day yet??), plus a kid’s menu at the larger places.

Speaking of the kiddos, there’s a tonne of kid-friendly rides for younger children, and family-friendly rides to get everyone involved! Baby River is a great ride for getting your kids hooked on the thrill of water slides, in a suuuper child-friendly way of course, and if that’s a little too much action for your little one, take them to Kids Water World where they can run around under fountains and shoot water at each other. The park opens seasonally from mid-May to mid-September.

Western Park, Mallorca

Western Park has a seasonal opening and opens in late May to September. You can easily get there by bus from the nearby resort towns, and on Tuesdays and Fridays, they offer a FREE bus service from Palmanova, Magaluf, Santa Ponsa, and Peguera. Yay for free stuff!!

Magic Natura Resort is a water park, meets animal park, meets Polynesian themed resort. You can either choose to stay in the resort to enjoy some all-inclusive bliss or just head on over for the day to have fun in the water park’s facilities! The water park section (Aqua Natura) is seasonal, opening in early June to late October.

We think this is one of the best water parks in Spain as it is extremely child friendly. There are attractions like The Little Turtles Pool for small children, Mermaid School to make your kids dream of being a mermaid/merman come to life, and Adventure Island, a safari-themed area with slides, fountains, and a shallow pool!

For some more adult-orientated rides, La Cresta is a roller coaster slide with a zero-gravity drop, or you can ride the Kamikaze and ride their almost 50-meter slide that ends with a 14-meter plunge.

When you’re all “water-parked-out” for the day, head on over to Terra Natura to see some animals and learn about their conservation. Aqua Natura has three restaurants to choose from, but there are also other restaurants to choose from in the combined park area!

The resort is over an hour south of Barcelona on the Costa Dorada coast, close to Salou.

The water park has 17 rides, including fast-paced, slow-paced, and rides for kids! They have an awesome lazy river that winds almost 1.5kms around the entire park, with waterfalls, caves, and cross-currents (to make things more interesting). El Torrente is a top choice for groups and families, who will adventure together on a four-person raft along the twists, turns, and drops of the ride!

There are several places to eat around the park for when you need to refuel from a long day of rides (check out the Reggae Cafe for gluten-free options!). Caribe Aquatic Park is seasonal and is open from late May until mid-September, you can either drive or take public transport.

Top 9 water parks in Spain where you can have a great vacation with children

The end of spring and the beginning of summer is the start of the beach season in Spain, which lasts until September. Mild weather, beautiful nature, a large number of sunny days, a variety of entertainment and excursions are a great reason to choose this destination for a family vacation.

And if you are traveling with children, there is plenty of entertainment for them here. Almost all children and many adults will be happy to spend a day on water attractions in the water park. And Spain boasts a large selection of them.

Which of the many water parks in this region of Spain is right for you?

1

Water World (Lloret de Mar)

A water paradise for the whole family on the Costa Brava is located in Lloret de Mar. For the little ones, a whole island is allocated with its own pirate ship and a large selection of slides, warm pools, water arches, water cannons and geysers. And for daring adults, a large selection of entertainment for every taste. For those who are ready to go down the water river at a speed of 60 km / h, there is the Kamikaces attraction, almost 80 m long. Probably one of the classic slides of most water parks in the world is Water Mountain, which is a long (250 m) descent with unexpected sharp turns, slopes, shaded areas and very open, equipped with safety nets. But the attraction Rafting River, the largest of its kind in Europe, is the highlight of this water park. Be prepared for the fact that part of the rafting on a turbulent “river” will have to be overcome in a four-seater boat in absolute darkness. Those who still have little adrenaline in their blood are offered an almost vertical descent on one of the two free-fall slides – Speed Furious. As in many other coastal water parks, this one also has slides for gambling: those who wish can arrange real races on the Speed Sliders water slide. The traffic light at the finish line will show the winner. AT Water World also took care of those who appreciate a relaxing holiday in the aqua zones: the slow flow of Water Gagant will gently carry you past all the attractions and recreation areas in the park. By the way, the territory of the park is simply immersed in the luxurious greenery of trees. So even on a hot day, finding a place in the shade to rest will not be a problem.

Water World open from mid-May to mid-September

Aqua Brava (Roses)

Having occupied a vast territory on the coast, it contained a considerable standard set of slides and attractions. Two large play areas for kids, separate hot water pools, their own Danube, Amazon and Colorado, downhills and twisting slides-snakes and slides-tunnels. But here is what attracts visitors exactly at Aqua Brava ! Europe’s largest Wave Pool (600 sq. m.). Do you want to experience 7 different types of sea waves for yourself, from the most calm and rocking to violent ones? That way. And in Aqua Brava there is an opportunity to get lost in a huge labyrinth with an area of 2500 sq.m. And climb a sheer 5-meter cliff, so that, having climbed to the very top, jump into a deep pool under it. And after an active holiday on the water slides, a visit to the Butterfly Park, which is literally a few kilometers from the water park, can be a successful continuation of the day.

To have fun in the Aqua Brava is possible from early June to mid -September

3 9001 Caribe Aquatic Park (Port Aventura)

The world-famous Port Aventura amusement park and water park Costa Caribe Aquatic Park on its territory annually attracts the attention of tourists from all over the Mediterranean coast of Spain. But it will be especially convenient for those who are based in Tarragona and nearby. More like a luxurious tropical island than a park, Costa Caribe Aquatic Park truly is one of the best family attractions, with so many water attractions that are safe and fun for all ages, you just have to look. Is it cool, for example, to feel like a real rafter, even if you are only 1.10 m tall? However, the daredevils who are ready to conquer the King Khajuna slide, which has the largest free fall area among its kind in Europe, need to grow up a little more. The number of water attractions on the territory of this water park is so great that it is hardly worth combining a visit to it with a visit to other entertainment areas in Port Aventura on the same day.

Aquopolis (La Pineda)

It is very easy and quick to get by train from Port Aventura to this slightly less famous, but also popular with tourists, aqua park Pineda. It is also convenient for transport accessibility from Tarragona, Salou, Sitges and other resorts of the Costa Dorada. Among the large children’s pools and slopes on gentle family slides typical of other water parks, this one offers visitors some rather extreme ones. Huracan is a fast descent with a free fall effect. Throwing to the left, then to the right a huge ramp Bumeranga. Short but almost sheer Splash slides. You will not have time to be scared, but you will get pleasure. And of course, for what it is worth choosing exactly Aquopolis . Against the backdrop of a typical Hawaiian landscape with sand, palm trees and boats, everyone (children are no exception, because there are no restrictions on height!) Can learn how to slide on the board along artificial waves. Or hone your surfing skills. This is the first such indoor surf simulator in the region. Aquopolis is also known thanks to the dolphins and fur seals participating in the daily shows on the territory of the Dolphinarium Water Park.

Aqua Natura (Benidorm)

The case is conveniently and profitably combine with a walk along the natural park (Terra Nature) and SHOU – performances with the participation of marine animals. It is located in the city of Benidorm next to other theme parks. It is convenient to get to it from the neighboring resort of Altea. Precisely small in size Aqua Natura might be the right choice for a day trip. The large open children’s territory of the water park will definitely be appreciated by parents who wish not to lose sight of children having fun on the slides and in the pools. For adults, there are only 4 water slides in this water park. But here is an excellent warm pool with artificial waves, a small artificial beach and excellent views of the mountains in the distance. Not so long ago, the water park acquired sea lions, which give performances, in which vacationers in the water park can become full participants. But the opportunity to swim in a wetsuit next to stingrays and sharks at Aqua Natura has been around for a long time.

It is a bit cheaper to buy a combined ticket to Terra Natura and Aqua Natura for the whole day. You are waiting for you from mid -May

Aqualandia (Benidorm)

The first of the Spanish coast and precise and quality of service at the moment. The water park is built on the territory of the natural park Sierra Helada, in Benidorm. So the launch pads of the highest slides can also be considered observation platforms with decent views of the surroundings. And there are so many slides here that you can get lost in them, as in an unfamiliar city. Large area Aqualandia and the good work of the designers made it possible to create corners of the park that are radically different in character. Those who come for adrenaline will be pleased with the twisted Zig-Zag with sharp turns and elevation changes, the black pipe Black hole and, of course, the most popular VertiGo among daredevils. It is from its upper part, located at the height of a 13-storey building, that thrill-seekers fly down almost in free fall. For connoisseurs of a relaxing holiday, Aqualandia has Niagara, a secluded place with artificial grottoes, and Geiser with a powerful waterfall, under which you can bask all day.

Aqualand 9000 9000 9000 9000 There are water parks with this name in several cities in Spain. Try not to get confused and come and spend time in this one, the largest and most famous on the Costa del Sol. In addition to the dizzying 22-meter Kamikaze and tightly twisted Anaconda, traditional for many other water parks, adults here are pleased with the “kicking” Crazy Cones mustang slide. big plus Aqualand – it is aimed at children 1.10 m-1.20 m tall, who are no longer interested in children’s entertainment, and they have not yet grown up to adult slides. Rapids, which starts under a waterfall, a Bumerang swinging to the sides, a huge “spring” Espiral and several others – all this is just for visitors of this size. Undoubtedly, the water park owes its popularity primarily to a large pool with waves almost 1 m high, which attract those who want to compete with the water element. Territorial proximity also plays an important role in popularity Aqualand and the popular Crocodile Park, filled with visitors all year round.

Acuatico Mijas (Fuenhirola)

9000 This water park on the Costa del Sol has a special atmosphere due to the fact that the lion’s share of entertainment in it carries an aura of calm and relaxation. And although there is still a place for steep slides with turns, they have been confidently replaced by low, soft waves in the Piscina de Olas pool, winding slow slides for family rafting on inflatable rafts, sandy beaches with sun loungers and grass picnic areas. Kings at Acuatico Mijas – little visitors. For them, not only a lot of space has been allocated for pools, fountains, ladders, but also access to most of the slides of the water park is open. Judging by the reviews of vacationers, it is Acuatico that can be considered the most family-friendly water park on the coast. In addition, a kilometer from the water park there is another very family place: the Fuengirola Biopark, which cares about the conservation of endangered species of tropical animals. Perhaps it was the convenient location of the biopark and the water park in relation to each other that helped vacationers to fall in love with this corner of the Costa del Sol even more.

Excitement wakes up from the number of steep slides, from their appearance and even from the names. In addition to the traditional Black Hole and Kamikaze, there are Harakiri, Tornado, Crazy race. Deciding to slide down from not the highest and most ordinary-looking Banzay, be prepared to feel like a flat, smooth stone that everyone tried to throw in childhood in order to put as many “pancakes” on the water as possible. This is what people who descended from Banzay look like, jumping on the surface of the water on light sleds for some time. Or here is the King kobra, which not only looks like this poisonous creature, but also has a characteristic snake color inside. Yes, and you have to finish right in the open mouth of the cobra, splattering “poison” from the teeth that hang over the visitors gliding past. You can catch your breath, for example, on the more relaxed Kongo family run or in the pool with low waves. Due to the specifics of entertainment at Aqualand there are always a lot of young people. So families with kids and not fans of adrenaline rides should choose other entertainment on the island.

PortAventura is a huge amusement park and seaside resort on the east coast of Spain. It is located in the suburbs of Salou, 100 km south of Barcelona.

Tourists or residents of the surrounding area get to the park by car, bus or train. Nice trains run between the park and Salou. There is ample parking in front of the entrance to the entertainment complex. Numerous hotels in Spain near the water park offer visitors four- and five-star rooms.

Port Aventura Water Park is part of an amusement park in Spain. And the part is not small at all: it is a square of 5 hectares. Thanks to its proximity to the large resort PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park is one of the most visited water attractions in Europe. More than 3 million visitors pass through its gates every year. The scenery of the water park is made in the style of the Caribbean islands. Its infrastructure includes everything you need for a comfortable stay and unforgettable experiences: swimming pools of different depths, artificial beaches and shallows, cafes with delicious food and soft drinks, bright decorations.

Water rides and slides

  • In 2013, Europe’s highest water toboggan, King Kahuna, was opened in the water park. This is a 30-meter tower with an open top. The descent down the inclined chute at a speed of 6 meters per second will give everyone a thrill.
  • Attraction “Fast Race” – six-lane rapids Multifom, the descent along which is carried out on a mattress in the form of a sled. Arrange a competition with your friends, going down the parallel channels in a race.
  • Water toboggan “Tropical Cyclone” with a run length of 100 meters and two elevation changes. Steep sections with almost free fall alternate with gentle sections, on which the speed of descent slows down.
  • Sesame Beach is a children’s pool with two depth levels: 30 cm for the little ones and 50 cm for the older ones. In the center of the children’s area there is a huge Pirate Galleon. Four slides for skiing descend from the ship directly into the pool. Funny characters from the world-famous Sesame Street program play with children on a pirate ship. Not far from the children’s pool is the Splash Pad play area with interactive water jets.
  • Paradise Beach is connected to Sesame Beach, but it is one level higher. The height difference creates a picturesque waterfall, under the jets of which children of all ages frolic. The depth at Paradise Beach reaches 1.4 meters, so there are more adult visitors and the atmosphere is better conducive to a relaxing holiday in a sun lounger or on a water bed.
  • Another children’s pool – “Woody’s Lagoon” with fountains and slides for the youngest guests. In the center of the play area is the figure of the cartoon bird Woody Woodpecker, the symbol of the Port Aventura water park.
  • Kayo Kuki is a play area with refreshing water jets that suddenly pop up from the bottom of the playground.
  • The Bermuda Triangle is a wave pool with Bahama Beach. Powerful equipment collects water in the deepest part of the reservoir and dumps it, simulating a breaking wave, like on the coast. The size of the pool will not allow you to surf, but the feeling of real sea rolling is guaranteed. And on Bahama Beach, you can relax on a sun lounger under the rustle of artificial surf.
  • Mambo Limbo and Barracudas are twin water slides with a gentle slope and a common exit to the slide.
  • Waterslide with a closed section “Typhoon”. You rush down a narrow dark chute with a lot of sudden turns and sharp turns, then you fly out into the sunlight and plop down into the pool.
  • El Torrente is a rafting attraction with round inflatable boats. A family or company of four descends a 200-meter long winding canal to the melodic rhythms of Caribbean music – reggae. The greater the total weight of passengers, the more speed the boat will develop on steep descents and the more adrenaline there will be on sharp turns.
  • In the water park “Port Aventura” there are also covered areas – the so-called Inner Zone. Here, under a canopy of glass and metal, crystal-clear pools with water slides and jets, colorful balls and climbing nets, as well as a life-size model of a hydroplane await guests.

Popular in Spain and throughout southern Europe, Port Aventura Water Park is the best place for a family holiday. Due to the presence of the Mediterranean Sea, the climate in the resort is purely maritime with warm short winters and relatively cool summers. In January, air temperatures do not rise above 15 degrees, so water and sunbathing is available only for those who are hardened. The high season there lasts from June to October, until the average temperature drops below 20 degrees. It is during this period that the Port Aventura water park is filled with people, splashes and a happy hubbub.

The beach season on the Iberian Peninsula starts in late spring-early summer and ends in mid-September. Due to the warm climate, beautiful nature, various entertainments for children and adults, this destination is ideal for a vacation. Rest in the water park of Spain is an opportunity to have fun, ride the rides and get a lot of unforgettable emotions. The country has a large selection of water parks, some of which are included in the ratings of the best entertainment complexes in the world.

  • How to choose a water park in Spain for an active holiday with family or friends

To make your vacation successful, pay attention to some nuances when choosing a water park:

    1. Free or paid. In Spain, you can find any of these options. In the first case, to get to the park, you will have to stand in line for 30-50 minutes. If you are not ready to waste so much time, then stop at the paid option.
    2. Large slides. Travelers don’t always need them. If you have children with you or uncomfortable sensations appear in the process of descending a large hill, then it is better to avoid large-scale sites. The best option would be local parks. There is a more relaxed atmosphere, and the level of service and variety of entertainment is no worse. In such places, small and medium slides are mainly installed.
    3. Security. In the Pyrenees, this issue is given increased attention. But before visiting the water park, check if they have specialists who will look after the child. In the process of rest, parents can be distracted and the rest will be spoiled by an unpleasant incident.
    4. Operating mode. Experts advise staying at establishments with a flexible schedule – from 09:00 to 22:00. Some parks open only at 11:00. In the daytime, the Spanish sun is very hot, not all tourists will be able to withstand such heat.
    5. Open or closed. If you go to the water park during the day when it is hot outside, it is better to choose closed pavilions. When the weather is warm without the scorching sun, you can stay on the open options.
    6. Sauna or jacuzzi. AT 90% of Spain’s water parks have an additional service. The presence of a sauna will be an advantage for the institution, because you can not only have fun, but also relax after extreme descents from the slides.
    7. Public catering establishments. Most people spend almost half a day in water parks and remain hungry due to the lack of a buffet. If there is a restaurant, then you need to pay attention to the price tags. They often inflate the cost of dishes.

Traveling around Spain with friends, we couldn’t help but visit the local water parks, which are popular all over the world. We went to Aquapolis. The park left a good impression, but there was a long queue for the slides. Had to wait 20-30 minutes. The water park occupies a large area, but the set of entertainment is standard. I liked the wave pool and some extreme slides. There are several buffets on the territory of the park, so you will definitely not stay hungry.

Family vacation in Spain and visited the water park “Port Aventura”. Words are not enough to convey the beauty of this place. A large number of attractions for different ages, originally designed themed areas, entertainment programs. The only thing that upset – kilometer queues. It is impossible to see the entire park in one day. Port Aventura evoked in our children no less emotions and delight than Disneyland Paris.

The best water parks in Spain

The holiday season and summer holidays are in full swing, which means it’s time to go to one of the water amusement parks where you can have a great time with the whole family. Spain offers its guests and locals a number of water parks, one better than the other, which will be an unforgettable experience in the life of a child, amuse the whole family and give many happy moments.

    1. Siam Park “Siam Park” (Adeje, Tenerife).

This is the largest water park in Spain, it is located on an area of 185 square kilometers, and its construction cost 52 million euros. Its visitors feel like residents of a real fairy-tale kingdom of the East – Siam: gabled roofs, dragons, palm trees, exotic deities. The number of attractions in the park is relatively small, there are about 25 of them, but the real gem of Siam Park is the Wave Palace: a pool with artificial waves over 3 meters high. Other popular rides include Lazy River, Jungle Serpents, King of the Hill, and more. The Dragon Ride boasts the largest dragon statue in the world. And flying at great speed through the pipe of the 30-meter water attraction “Tower of Power” you can see real fish swimming in the pool through the glass walls. It has its own sandy beach, and the water in the pool is heated to 25 degrees.

    2. Aqualandia (Benidorm, Alicante).

The best water parks in Spain

The largest water amusement park on the Costa Blanca: it covers an area of about 150,000 sq. m. On its territory there are a huge number of water activities, spacious park areas, cozy picnic areas, souvenir shops, photo workshops, spacious lockers, and free parking. This year, the public will be presented with a new water attraction “Cyclon” (“Cyclone”), which will be the largest water attraction in the world, the height of which will be 40 meters, and the total length of the route is 200 meters with numerous turns, descents and drops. The width of the route is 2.7 meters. At the same time, 4 people will be able to ride on the hill, who will experience a feeling of weightlessness: at the time of the descent, a kind of giant funnel with a diameter of 22 meters and an inclination of 45 degrees is formed. In addition to the Cyclone, the highest water slide in Europe and the world’s tallest indoor tube slide are already open here.

    3. Water Land (Lloret de Mar, Girona).

The water park is located on the Costa Brava and is considered one of the best for family holidays, as it takes into account the interests of visitors of all ages. Slides for every taste and interest, of any complexity and height: low and high, smooth and steep, roller coasters and undulating slopes. The park presents the best selection of children’s entertainment for the youngest visitors, it is a real water paradise for them: water cannons, hydro-arches, water toys, a pirate ship. Water World is rightfully considered the best water park in Spain for visitors under the age of 10. Shallow pools with warm water, where kids can spend as much time as they want. All slides are absolutely safe. Children are under the constant supervision of animators and park staff.

    4. Flamingo Water Park Flamingo (Torrevieja, Alicante).

The park is perfect for a family holiday, especially for those with small children. Flamingos seem to be specially created for the tiniest residents and guests of Spain. Safe, smooth slides, a shallow “splash pool” with small fountains and bright fly agaric mushrooms. The main advantage of the park is the lack of queues for rides and reasonable prices.

    5. Port Aventura “Port Aventura Caribe Aquatic Park” (Salou, Tarragona).

The water park is part of the Port Aventura entertainment world, located on the Costa Dorada and attracting millions of tourists every year. This water park is inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean. Guests of the park can plunge into a real Caribbean trip on an area of 35,000 sq.m.: there are various slides, a wave pool, water surprises, and even rafting, as well as a special area for children to play. Among the most popular rides is Europe’s highest Free Fall slide, the Extraordinary Racer slide, which can be used by 6 people at the same time. For the youngest visitors, the real world of Sesame Street is organized.

    6. Aquapolis Aquapolis (La Pineda, Tarragona).

One of the oldest water parks in Spain, over 30 years old. However, this does not mean at all that slides and water attractions are outdated here. Quite the opposite: the organizers are constantly trying to diversify their visit to the park, offering their customers more and more entertainment. Not so long ago, the first indoor surfing attraction in Catalonia, Gran Cauna, was opened: water sports enthusiasts can slide and perform pirouettes here, as well as soar on a board on artificial waves. A typical Hawaiian landscape was chosen as the scenery for the attraction – with sand, palm trees and boats. On the territory of the park there is a wonderful dolphinarium, where dolphins and sea lions show their abilities every day. The symbol of the water park is a sea lioness named Luna.

    7. Aqua brava (Roses, Girona).

A large water entertainment complex where no one will be bored. There is not only a standard set of slides and attractions (13 slides of all stripes, 5 super-extreme slides), but also real highlights of water adventures: the largest Wave Pool in Europe (6000 sq.m.) with an imitation of 7 different types of sea waves , a huge labyrinth with an area of 2500 sq.m., where it is easy to get lost, but finding the right path is not so easy, the Aquaroc rock, almost sheer and reaching 5 meters in height, can only be conquered by the most daring and dexterous, and the rest only with screaming and merry laughter fall into the pool. For the youngest visitors, a children’s mini-park and a swimming pool with boats are organized.

    8. Isla Fantasía (Barcelona).

The best water park in Catalonia and one of the best water parks in all of Spain. Visitors of all ages will find something suitable for themselves here: 20 different slides and 3 huge pools, one of which is equipped with basketball hoops, another with hydromassage fountains and the third with a beach and artificial waves. The most exciting attraction is the Kamikaze slide with an extremely steep descent, which attracts real daredevils. For the youngest visitors, a special children’s area is equipped, where there are absolutely safe slides for children aged 2 to 10 years, as well as a children’s pool. For those who are tired of water attractions, a children’s playground is organized on land.

    9. Aqua Natura “Aqua Natura” (Benidorm, Alicante).

Aquapark is one of the parts of the natural park “Terra Natura”. It is decorated in a traditional Greek style, with all buildings painted in blue and white, and local cafes serving Mediterranean cuisine. The total length of all water attractions is more than 1000 meters, and none of them are the same. For children, there is a large safe area with small and fairly smooth slides. The youngest visitors to the park especially like the Unexpected Shower attraction, when a real waterfall pours out of a huge barrel. For the most daring guests, there is an opportunity to swim with sharks and stingrays, wearing special equipment. In a special pool, a show of fur seals is organized, after which you can swim and take pictures with them.
