Tenerife, Canary Islands – September Weather

What’s the weather like in Tenerife in September

Temperature

Along with August, September is one of the hottest months for Tenerife, Canary Islands, when the days are long and sunny, the nights are warm and short and rain is almost guaranteed not to fall. During this month, the average temperature for the island is 23⁰C, created by average highs of 27⁰C during the daytime and average lows of 20⁰C at night.

Both the weather and the temperature can vary greatly between Tenerife North and Tenerife South. The southern resorts, such as Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas, generally enjoy higher temperatures and more sunshine than northern resorts, such as Puerto de La Cruz. So if you’re a sun worshipper and want the highest temperatures and clearest skies possible, you’re best off staying in Tenerife South in September. Nevertheless, if you prefer slightly cooler temperatures and don’t mind the odd cloudy day, Tenerife North might be better for you.

In September, daily averages gradually decrease as the month develops. Daily averages start off at 26⁰C during the first few days of the month, before they drop down to 25⁰C. During the final two weeks of the month, daily averages fluctuate between 25⁰C and 24⁰C. This makes the first week of September the hottest time to visit Tenerife.

Highs and Lows

The highest temperature ever registered in Tenerife in September is 41.8⁰C, which was recorded at Tenerife South Airport on September 6th 1986. The lowest temperature ever registered on the island during this month is 0⁰C, which was recorded at Izaña on September 14th 1970.

If you don’t like hot temperatures and would prefer to visit Tenerife when things are a bit milder, consider holidaying in October or June, when average temperatures are 21⁰C-22⁰C.

Rain

Tenerife receives only a tiny amount of rainfall in September, when the likelihood of precipitation steadily increases as the month develops. In Tenerife North, the probability of rainfall starts off at 18% on September 1st and rises up to 28% by September 30th. In Tenerife South, the chance of rainfall begins at 5% on September 1st and rises up to 10% by September 30th.

Throughout the month, the whole of Tenerife receives an average of 9mm of rainfall which falls on a single day. The most common types of precipitation you can expect to see on the island during this month are drizzle, light rain or moderate rain.

The highest monthly rainfall ever registered in Tenerife in September is 142.3mm, which was recorded at Izaña during September 1967. The 12th of that month was declared the wettest September day ever, when 75.9mm of water fell within a single 24-hour period. What’s more the maximum number of wet days Tenerife has ever seen in September is 14, which was registered at Tenerife North Airport during September 1993.

Average Sunshine Hours

During September, Tenerife boasts an average of eight hours of daily sunshine, along with median cloud coverage which slowly increases as the month develops. In Tenerife South, median cloud coverage begins at 31% on September 1st and steadily rises up to 38% by September 30th. In Tenerife North, cloud coverage begins at the slightly higher 40% and climbs up to 44% by September 30th.

Average Sea Temperatures

Thanks to the year-round mild temperatures that Tenerife enjoys, the sea is almost warm enough for swimming in. In September, the average sea temperature for the island is 24⁰C that’s as hot as it gets in the Canary Islands.

Humidity

The relative humidity for Tenerife in September averages at around 70%, ranging between 51% (mildly humid) and 82% (very humid), rarely reaching as high as 100% (very humid) or dropping below 24% (dry).

In Tenerife North, the air is driest around September 1st, when the relative humidity falls below 61% (mildly humid) three days out of four, whilst it’s at its most humid around September 23rd, when it rises above 88% (very humid) three days out of four.

In Tenerife South, the air is driest around September 1st, when it drops below 61% (mildly humid) three days out of four, whilst it’s at its most humid around September 22nd, when it rises above 78% (humid) three days out of four.

Wind

Over the course of an average September in Tenerife, typical wind speeds vary between 1 m/s (light air) and 10 m/s (fresh breeze), rarely rising above 13 m/s (strong breeze). The highest average wind speed of 6 m/s (moderate breeze) happens around September 1st, when the average daily maximum wind speed is 10 m/s (fresh breeze).

The lowest average wind speed of 5 m/s (gentle breeze) occurs around September 30th in the north and September 26th in the south, with the average daily maximum is 7 m/s (moderate breeze) in the north and 9 m/s (fresh breeze) in the south. The strongest wind ever registered in Tenerife in September is 38.3 m/s, which was registered in Izaña on September 14th 2014.

Weather Hazards

Calima

Even though calimas can affect Tenerife during any month, they’re especially bad when they happen during summer and the months either side, like September. A calima occurs when instead of cool trade winds blowing in from the north east, they blow in directly from the east.

When they blow in this way, the winds first pass over the Sahara Desert in northern Africa, bringing with them high temperatures (often as high as 10⁰C above the average) and low visibility due to a high concentration of dust and sand particles in the air. Although there is no severe danger caused by a calima, it is generally uncomfortable for everyone on the island, especially those with breathing conditions.

When there’s a calima, the Canarian MET office issues a weather alert. On September 7th 2011, the weather office issued a yellow alert for high temperatures of up to 35⁰C in south, west and east of the island. This alert was then upgraded to orange on September 8th 2011, when temperatures were expected to be in excess of 40⁰C in Tenerife, as well as in Gran Canaria.

These two buildings have been renovated so they’re suitable for holiday accommodation but still hold onto their old Canarian charm.

Guests can choose between nine uniquely designed and decorated rooms, each of which boasts period furniture, wooden beams, stone walls and garden views. The hotel has been built with relaxation in mind and boasts an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, outdoor Jacuzzi and large gardens filled with native flora where you can sit and relax. The centre of the village is just a five-minute walk away, where you’ll find more services and amenities, from bars and restaurants to shops and supermarkets, all with a very local feel.

Tenerife Beach for September

Playa Fanabe

If you’re looking for a family-friendly beach in the south of Tenerife, Playa Fañabe in Costa Adeje is ideal. This beach is backed by a long promenade where you’ll find a wealth of British and international cafes, bars and restaurants, plus souvenir shops and supermarkets. The sand here is a cross between golden and volcanic, which can sometimes make it look a bit grey. The eastern side of the beach is the most family-friendly section, where you’ll find sun loungers and parasols available to hire, plus showers, toilets, lifeguards, a beach bar and water sports, including jet skiing, pedaloes and banana boats.

The western side of the beach is more upmarket and has more expensive beach bars which play chilled out dance music, Balinese-style beds and the same facilities you’ll find at the eastern side of the beach.

The sea at Playa Fañabe is protected by the harbour on the eastern side and several rocky breakwaters staggered along the rest of the coast. Not only do these breakwaters make sure the sea stays calm and perfect for swimming in all weather conditions, but they also provide the perfect environment for snorkelling and diving. If you get tired of sunbathing and swimming, head to the promenade where you can play a round of crazy golf or watch the kids have fun on the trampolines.

Playa El Camison

For something a bit quieter, visit the Blue Flag Playa El Camison in Playa de Las Americas. This small golden sandy beach is located just a short walk down from the Safari Centre and has basic facilities, including sun beds, shades, showers, toilets and an ice cream kiosk, as well as a small and rather expensive restaurant which closes early evening.

There is a sloped grassy section shaded by palm trees which runs the length of the beach and makes for a popular sunbathing spot for holidaymakers when the beach is full. Although during busy seasons, you might struggle to get a spot even here! Thanks to its small size and the rocky structures which wrap around the outside of this bay, the sea at Playa El Camison is really calm, making it popular with swimmers of all abilities.

Bars and Restaurants

Harriet’s Tea Room

Harriet’s Tea Room in Costa Adeje is a great place to go for an afternoon tea. Recommended by both TripAdvisor and EasyJet, this popular British eatery serves all kinds of cakes, scones, biscuits, pies, crumpets, tea cakes and freshly prepared sandwiches, with several gluten-free and diabetic options available, too. Full English breakfasts are served all day long, with burgers, jacket potatoes, salads and pancakes served for lunch. If you’re after something more filling, visit Harriet’s Tea Room between 6.30pm and 10pm Monday to Friday, when British pub grub-style meals (like fish and chips) are served.

Harley’s American Diner

Harley’s American Diner is one of the best places in the south of Tenerife for live music. Located at the foot of San Eugenio in Playa de Las Americas, this bar-restaurant has an all-American feel with music and movie memorabilia decorating the walls, ceiling and floors. Most people visit for its extensive cocktail list (all cocktails are made to order by trained mixologists) which you can browse before watching the live rock bands which take to the stage every night at around 10pm. There’s also a varied menu available, loaded with Tex-Mex and American classics, such as ribs, steaks, burgers, burritos, enchiladas and salads.

Things to do in Tenerife in September

Anaga

Anaga is a beautiful part of north eastern Tenerife which includes mountains, coastline, forests, ravines and remote villages. This area is a protected landscape and includes the famous Roques de Anaga large rock formations in the sea which have been shaped by erosion. The Barranco de Las Huertas is another interesting part of the area where you can see amazing views which stretch on for miles over the green mountainous parts of the area and out to sea.

Walkers and hikers of all abilities will love the numerous walking trails. These trials are very clearly signposted and last for anywhere from ten minutes to six hours, making them suitable for everyone. Since Anaga is so high up and mountainous, this part of Tenerife is often very cool, cloudy and misty all-year-round. So make sure you take a jumper or jacket and a pair of trousers to throw on before you go exploring.

Parque Taoro

Parque Taoro in Puerto de la Cruz is a great place to spend the day, whatever the weather. This park covers 100,000m2 and is divided into three sections La Atalaya where you’ll find the impressive lookout point, el Camino de La Sortija and Los Jardines del Taoro. All the gardens are bursting with flower beds full of native species, stone steps, ponds, waterfalls, old maps and great views.

There are also loads of small lizards throughout the park which will be happy to eat any leftovers if you brought a picnic with you. There are also several cafes in the area, where you can relax and enjoy a coffee as you watch the world go by. This park is open all day 365 days a year and is totally free to enter.

Tenerife Weather | Monthly Forecast

The largest and most populated of the seven Canary Islands, Tenerife sees an estimated five million tourists a year. It is the site of one of the world’s largest carnivals and allows access to tourists via not one but two airports. Many of these visitors come to Tenerife to enjoy the stunning vistas of its UNESCO world heritage sites, such as the city of La Laguna, and the beautiful and vast Teide National Park, featuring the highest points of the island.

Many of Tenerife’s tourism is centered around its historical sites, as well as the many beach resort towns it has to offer. The stable and mild climate of this island has its geo-location to thank for, as it is nestled between the Atlantic ocean and its chilly trade winds, and the Sahara and its hot and arid breeze. This creates a balance in this region’s temperatures that cause the weather to change only minimally, even between the height of summer and the dead of winter.

JANUARY

The start of the year in Tenerife is surprisingly warm, considering it is the height of winter. January has an average temperature of around 19°C, with approximately 10 hours of sunlight per day to spend outdoors. However, these months also mark the most unpredictable in Tenerife’s weather, as January especially is said to bring much rainfall. On average, you can expect up to 160mm of rain, which can occur suddenly and without warning. During brighter days, the sea is still a joy to swim in, as its temperature usually stays around a lovely 20°C.

FEBRUARY

Should you choose to spend Valentine’s day in Tenerife, you will be pleased to know that the average temperature during February is around 20°C. This means that days and evenings spent by the beach are cozy and comfortable, although you may need a sweater at night as the temperature drops to 13°C. In February you can expect some 148mm of rainfall, as the weather is hard to predict, while the temperature of the sea lingers at a pleasant 19°C still.

MARCH

Tenerife in March has an average temperature of around 21°C, as the summer months come closer. As it is still the end of winter, evening temperatures can always drop to a cool 13°C on average, so you should have some warmer clothes ready for nights spent dining outdoors. Quite a bit of rain can be expected in March, as the average precipitation is around 140mm on average. However, this month also marks the start of the days getting longer, as you can get up to 12 hours of sunlight per day, with the sun setting just after 7pm.

The temperature of the sea stays stable at a warm 20°C, much to the delight of watersports enthusiasts.

MAY

May is when the dry seasons begins on Tenerife, reducing the chances of rain and bringing in a more stable and predictable climate. The temperatures will start to soar, with an average of 23°C, while the evenings may still require some warmer clothing. Summer winds from the Sahara may blow over Tenerife more regularly, causing drastic changes to the temperature and humidity. In May, you can indeed start enjoying the coastal regions, as the temperature of the sea stays at around 20°C.

JUNE

Tenerife will have glorious weather at this time, and you can expect that the days will feel hot with an average of 27°C in temperatures. Those who want to spend the day dipping in and out of the sea will be pleased with its temperature at 22°C. UV levels will be at their highest around these months, so sun protection should not be neglected, especially as the days bring in more hours of sunlight.

AUGUST

The warm average temperatures in Tenerife will peak around August, as you can expect to spend much of your days basked in sunlight. You will have 14 hours of daylight to enjoy every day, with clear blue skies and temperatures of around 28°C. Even the evenings will be balmy so you can stash your sweaters to the far corner of your suitcase as al fresco dining will be at its most enjoyable. In August, the sea’s temperature will rise to 23°C, making it easy for you to spend most of your long days merely floating in the ocean. Sun protection should be a priority, as the UV rays are at their most potent at this time of the year.

SEPTEMBER

In September you are likely to encounter the hottest day of the year, as the Sahara winds will cause some dry and arid air to be swept onto Tenerife, causing spikes in the temperature. On average, you can expect it to be hot, with 27°C as your daily average temperatures. The sea will be extra warm as the summer peaks, with temperatures measuring at 24°C, as the summer slowly comes to a close and the days begin to feel shorter again with 12 hours of sunlight daily. Rainfall is usually at a minimum in September still, although the incoming winter can cause some unexpected showers at times.

OCTOBER

As the winter starts to roll in gradually, the average temperature in Tenerife drops down to 25°C in October. The evenings are still comfortable, although you may be better off with a sweater when dining outside. The temperature of the sea stays warm, however, almost matching the average air temperature with a whopping 24°C. Beach days are still possible, as the average rainfall remains low for the most part, with the occasional surprise shower.

NOVEMBER

Tenerife in November can bring occasional dust storms from Western Sahara, which can cause the weather to be erratic and unpredictable. More rainfall than usual can be expected, as your days of sunlight are cut down to 11 hours per day. This month’s temperature is usually measured at an average of 23°C, which is neither hot nor cold, and on sunny days can still serve as the perfect sunbathing temperature. The sea’s temperature slowly dips to around 22°C, as the nights are breezy and dominated by the cooling Atlantic trade winds.

DECEMBER

Even though December marks the height of winter for the rest of Europe, in Tenerife you will still be able to enjoy days outdoors with plenty of sunshine. Days are shorter with an average of 10 hours of sunlight, while rainfall can increase as Mount Teide attracts it from the north. Swimming and watersports are still possible, as the water’s temperature rarely falls below 21°C. The average daily temperature is around 20°C, while the evenings will see a drop, cooling things off on Tenerife. The sun can be expected to set early, at about 6:15pm during the end of the year.

MORE ABOUT THE WEATHER IN TENERIFE

There can be slight changes not only in landscape but also in the weather between the north and south of Tenerife. The majority of travelers choose the south because of its mild and dry conditions, which is perfect for the types of visitors who prefer to spend their days lazing around and relaxing by the beach. Those who are looking for hotter temperatures and a drier climate will favor resort towns such as Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, and Las Americas, for their bright blue and warm waters, and the little chance of rain.

The famous Teide National Park has the tendency to be much colder than the rest of the island, especially in the coastal areas, due to the height of its mountains, with its peak at around 3,718 meters above sea level. Other stops in the north such as Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz will have milder temperatures compared to the south, with a higher chance of rainfall. Los Gigantes, which is situated on the west coast of Tenerife will usually have very similar temperatures as the south, with a slight chance of occasional showers from time to time.

El Teide National Park – © Aliaksei Skreidzeleu

Tenerife is profoundly affected by the trade winds coming from the Atlantic, keeping the higher temperatures and drier winds from Western Sahara at bay, for the most part. This is especially true in the north, as the south is slightly blocked off from these winds due to Teide National Park and its higher peaks. Frost usually is only observed on the highest peaks of the National Park, as Tenerife’s climate can be most accurately described as mostly tropical.

Tenerife is an amazing island! I want to come here again and again. It is neither too hot nor too cold on the island: in winter the air temperature here is about 18 °C, and in summer it is about 27 °C.

Weather in Tenerife by months (photo: paramonguino)

Tenerife is divided into two main climatic zones. The southern part has a more favorable climate. It is here that you can enjoy summer all year round, besides, there are a huge number of open free beaches. However, in the northern part of the island it is very cool, especially in winter. This part of the island is most suitable for sports recreation.

It is noteworthy that the relatively small area of Tenerife is divided into 28 climatic zones. Therefore, one should not be surprised that, for example, in one part of the island it can be pouring rain, and in another – a bright and scorching sun shines.

It is very pleasant to be in Tenerife in winter. But you won’t be able to ski or sled here, as there is almost never snow here.

And now let’s look at the temperature in Tenerife in more detail (by months).

    January

In January the weather on the island is stable and warm. The temperature does not decrease from +20 °C. At night, the temperature stays around +14 °C.

The highest temperature ever recorded is +35°C, and the lowest is already zero.

The water in January is rather cool +18 °C.

    February

In February, the weather on the island is no different from the previous month. At night the temperature is +14 °C. In the daytime, on the thermometer, you can observe up to +21 ° C.

According to statistics, the highest record temperature this month is +37 °C, while the minimum is 0 °C. So if you ever get lucky and find yourself in February in such a heat, then it will be very cool. You can just bask in the sun and swim in the water.

    March

In March the weather on the island is quite warm and sunny. At night, the temperature stays up to +15 degrees, and in the morning it starts to rise and reaches +22 degrees.

This month the record temperature was +39degrees.

The sea temperature is +18 degrees.

The weather in April on the island is unusual. Warm, good, sunny. The temperature is +23 degrees, and at night it drops a little to +16 degrees.

The maximum temperature this month was +35 degrees. And the minimum is already +10 degrees.

    May

With a slight increase in temperature this month, the weather on the island remains comfortable, pleasant. During the day, the temperature is +24 degrees, and at night +17, so in the evening you can safely sit in an open cafe and enjoy a delicious cocktail.

In May, the highest record temperature was +36 degrees, and the minimum is already reaching +18 degrees.

The water temperature in spring remains the same +18 °C.

    June, July, August

+20°C. The water is very pleasant in summer, you can swim as much as you want! It warms up to +24 °С.

    September, October

The temperature on the island in September and October is the same. And despite the fact that on the calendar it is already autumn, the air warms up to +27 ° C during the day, and the water is even a couple of degrees warmer than in summer. However, in October, autumn begins to remind of itself and the temperature gradually begins to decrease.

    November

Autumn is coming to an end, so the weather in Tenerive is getting even cooler. The average temperature is +17 °C at night and early in the morning, and during the day it is already +23 °C. Warm clothes in this case will not hurt.

The island has recently recorded record temperatures of +34°C during the day and 0°C at night.

The water temperature drops to +20 °C.

    December

    Monthly weather in Tenerife (photo: G u i d o)

The weather in December on the island is autumnal. It smells of fallen leaves, there are no people on the beach, except for those who arrange small picnics. The temperature is +16 degrees at night, and during the day it usually reaches +21 degrees. The water temperature is kept at +19degrees.

In principle, a holiday on the island of Tenerife is wonderful in any month, the main thing is that you decide exactly for yourself: whether you want to lie on the beach, do water sports, or you are interested in walking around the cities of the Spanish island with the study of architecture.

Before planning a trip to the largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife, it is perfectly wise to know what the weather is like there? What are the air and water temperatures by months at different times of the year? Let’s look into this issue.

The island of Tenerife is an unusual corner of wildlife and, by coincidence, one of the largest in the archipelago called the Canary Islands, or the abbreviated name “Canaries”, which is more familiar to us. The area of the island is almost two thousand square kilometers, and its heart and main attraction is the once active volcano Teide. This mountain has not shown any activity for many years, but the desert areas around it speak of how dangerous it was earlier.

What attracts tourists to Tenerife? Definitely, this is an unusual local climate “without extremes” – it is neither too hot nor too cold here. The reason for this is in the depths of the Atlantic washing the island: warm currents ensure that the average temperature in the autumn-winter period remains at the level of +19 … +20 C, and in the spring-summer – +25 … +26 C.

Despite the relatively small area, the climate in the northern and southern parts of the island is significantly different. To be precise, the difference lies in temperature fluctuations throughout the year – if in its south, tightly closed by mountains from cold winds, it is 7-9degrees, then in the southern part immersed in greenery it can reach 15-17 degrees.

When is the best time to go to Tenerife?

By and large, you can spend a week or two in Tenerife at any time of the year. The only question is how exactly you want to spend your vacation. When it comes to staying on local beaches, it is better to go south, at least in winter. Generally speaking, for tourists who prefer getting a beautiful tan to any other type of vacation, the doors of the island are open all year round – the water in the ocean does not cool below +21 C. And if for some it is quite cool, then for the most part it will be very acceptable.

    Mount Teide

New Year in Tenerife – warm and almost rainless

    • December: the daily temperature background is determined by +21 C. The water temperature is + 18 C. The number of days with precipitation is similar to January – it is 12.
    • January: the average daily temperature of the first month of the year and the second of winter is +20 C, at night it is 5-6 degrees cooler. Precipitation falls within a third of the month. Those wishing to take sea baths should prepare for water, the temperature of which is +18 C, which is very invigorating.
    • February: The February weather differs only in the decrease in the number of rainy days, while the temperature background remains similar to January.

Spring is the best time to explore nature

A riot of colors and smells – such a very modest description characterizes the onset of spring on the island of Tenerife. The weather is in all respects just perfect, namely:

    • In March: the first month of spring brings long-awaited warming. Although the air temperature in March barely exceeds +20 C, it is characterized by a decrease in “wet” days and an increase in sunshine. Water in March retains the temperature of the previous two months.
    • In April: the temperature background of April is almost the same as in March, with the only difference that the daily temperature rises to +23 C – +24 C. The water is still cool.
    • In May: The average daily temperature in May is +24 C, water – +18 C. In May, there is a significant decrease in rainy days – no more than four.

Summer, oh summer…what is it like in the Canary Islands?

    Black sand beach

Summer is a great time to relax in Tenerife. The weather is pleasant, there is no sizzling heat, the water in the ocean is not cold, but it is also far from the state of “fresh milk”. How do the months of summer differ from each other, for all their homogeneity?

    • June: the first month of summer in Tenerife is marked by an increase in daytime temperatures up to +26 C, and at night – up to +20 C. All this creates very comfortable conditions for relaxing on the coast and in Tenerife hotels.
    • July – the equator of summer and the beginning of the massive swimming season. This is facilitated by a fairly high air temperature, reaching +28 C and water heated to +21 C. This is of course not fresh milk, but still relatively acceptable for most vacationers.
    • August: The average daytime temperature in August is close to the thirty-degree mark, the water temperature reaches +22 C. August in Tenerife is characterized by dry weather.

Autumn is a real velvet season

    Lighthouse at Cape Teno, Tenerife

Although the climate in Tenerife is not extreme, there are still times of the year when you can combine all kinds of activities, such as swimming on the beaches and sightseeing.

September: the climatic conditions of the first autumn month are similar to those of August, but there is a slight decrease in air temperature by several degrees while maintaining the water temperature at +23 C.

October: In the second, the active swimming season ends. Rains begin, daytime air temperature drops to +26 degrees, in water – up to +21 C.

November: in the last month of autumn, the air temperature continues to gradually decrease to +24 C, and the water temperature to + 18 C. The average number of rainy days is 11-12.

If the above information was not enough, you can learn more about holidays in Tenerife in any month of the year.

    Monthly weather in Tenerife

    But there are nuances.

Firstly, despite the fact that Tenerife is located at the latitude of the Sahara (so it is warm in winter), there is no unbearable heat here in summer , thanks to the cold Canary Current. The temperature is comfortable – around 28 ° C, which is much nicer than the August 40 ° C somewhere in Rome or Madrid.

Secondly, Tenerife is an island of volcanic origin, and in its middle is the Teide volcano with a height of 3718 meters. The mountains do not allow the cool northeast trade winds to freely reach the south of the island. It is this circumstance that determines the difference in climate between the server and the south of the island.

And the third caveat – we are looking at the temperature on the coast, where people live. In the mountains at cloud level, the weather is completely different, but you most likely will not have to live there.

So, in the south of the island:

    • More sun
    • Warmer
    • Less waves and wind (except El Medano, on the contrary, there is a lot of wind and windsurfers)
    • Lower humidity
    • Poorer vegetation 9000 6 north, respectively, vice versa.

Now to the numbers, let’s see how the weather (air temperature, water temperature and rainfall) differs in the three most touristic areas of Tenerife:

The temperature of the water in the ocean is the same along the entire coast of the island.

Precipitation varies greatly. In the south they are almost non-existent, while in the north it is very dry only from May to July. But, in fact, even 46 mm of precipitation in the north in November is still two times less than, for example, in the middle of summer in Moscow. Therefore, you should not be afraid of rain, there are more clouds in the north – this is true. But the vegetation is much prettier than in the desert south.

In general, come at any time of the year, the weather in Tenerife will not disappoint you. You can get to know the island even closer on an individual excursion (on average 180 € per group), and you can watch whales and dolphins in the Atlantic Ocean by taking part in a boat trip (from 50 € per person).
