The last one on the list is a hotel with slides in the south of Tenerife suitable for younger children, since teenagers are big and cannot use it. But if you are looking for a family hotel with slides for children up to 6 years old(in our view,) this is a good option.
In addition, the southern area has a lot to offer – fine sandy beaches, hundreds of beach bars, ice cream stalls, shops, beach volleyball areas, places for group activities such as cycling, kayaking routes… You’re not going to get bored at any time!

WATERPARK HOTELS IN SPAIN
Where to find hotels with water slides in Tenerife?
What you should know about Tenerife before booking a hotel! Before booking a hotel in Tenerife, we would like to explain different areas, since they vary a lot from each other in climate, temperature, environment and activities.
First of all, it is worth explaining some things about the island of Tenerife so that you know a little about all the tourist areas that you can visit, since each one is different and, just as the area of Malaga is not the same as that of Donosti, the same thing happens with the coastal areas in Tenerife.
Firstly, Tenerife has 17 microclimates! Yes, you heard correctly. If you arrive at the island at the North Los Rodeos airport, your face expression will change because you will see a gray, very cloudy sky and it will probably be foggy. Do not worry! It is normal, it is an area located between the Teide and the Anaga Mountains. In the coastal areas you will not normally have these problems.
North Zone (Puerto de la Cruz, Garachico …. etc.):
It is the northern part of the island, the temperature is milder in summer and cooler in winter, although without reaching low temperatures. The prices are lower than in the southern part of the island. We recommend you to get well-informed of what hotel to book and not to trust the “stars” that it has, since many of them have not renewed the carpets since 1970 and still they have the category of 4 stars. In this area, there are black sand and rocky beaches, while in the south we have both fine sand and rocky beaches.
South Zone (Costa Adeje, Arona, Los Gigantes … etc.):
It is the most touristy area of the island and also the most expensive. Germans and Englishmen make 75% of the island’s tourism. You will see more of them than Spaniards. The population is younger than in the northern zone: families with young children, university students, couples… The temperature usually stays warm througout the year. While in the north zone, it is not very pleasant to bathe in winter due to the temperature, in the south zone it is(as an anecdote, I got sunburnt in December for not applying an SPF…)
The hotels are newer, so the facilities are in better condition than in the north.
Family plans in Tenerife
The island of Tenerife offers endless options of nature activities, from hiking through the Anaga Mountains, day or night visits to the Teide Natural Park to see the stars, catamaran rides, to whale watching. Do you want to experience something different than so many water attractions and what you want is to see a sunset at the Mirador del Teide? Here you have one of the best websites to book experiences in Tenerife. They start at only 6€!

The best Water Park in the World, in Tenerife
Hi, that I like to lose myself in the world is something that you know, and not because I have hinted you in one of my multiple appearances in the media and audio-visual media, no, is because my deference to you, dear readers, is close to the fidelity. I am, Rodolfo, supporter of good negotiation and of my faithful friends. One of these friends lives in a paradise, I have already spoken on occasion of the Canary Islands.
With the (good) excuse for a study on the material without which nothing would be possible in this world, the water, I have called my Italian friend (Stefano, of course) who resides in Tenerife, between the two, we have devised a route around the island where re-discover its wonders (which are not few), and whose climax has been the object of my study, a place where the water takes a prominent role, so much that it is the main star of the entire complex, I talk about, of course, of the Siam Park, the Europe’s largest Waterpark (almost nothing) and the best in the world according to Tripadvisor (I believe them).
The Kiessling family has been the developer of the complex, one of the families most popular on the island if we talk of the tourist sector, they have also one of the zoos most important of Spain, the Loro Park (whose success has been perpetuated for forty years), and the luxurious Hotel Botanico (where I stayed, of course), the two in the Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. At the beginning of century, they decided to go one step further and build another theme park, this time on the coast of Adeje, in the south of the island. In 2004 they put the first stone and finished its construction in 2008 with an investment of 62 million euros (68 million dollars).
They did not had the courtesy of inviting me to the opening on September 15, 2008, with the attended of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand, but as I am not a spiteful, I already forgave them long ago (when I finished my future and splendid construction, perhaps I return the treatment). The presence of the Princess was not casual, the style of the park is Thai and was designed by Professor Ruetai, Professor of the University of Bangkok, no one better to transfer the essence of the religious symbols and the beliefs from that part of East, as far as atmosphere and sculptures is concerned, clear.
The park is distributed in 185,000 square meters and is prepared to support the visit of 7,500 people per day. Its exotic oriental decor is distributed throughout the complex, making allusions to the different generations, and the place is become a true site of entertainment for the family. To carry the construction out, Kiessling travelled half the world in search of ideas to make the best water park that you could dream, thus was born Siam Park, incidentally, Siam is the name of a Kingdom that disappeared in 1932, it covered several countries in Asia and its capital was Ayutthaya, Bangkok today.
Jose Luis Olcina, engineer of roads, canals and ports and Philip Mayfield, another professional with extensive experience in the engineering of the water, were hired to lead the work on the complex, they are the primarily responsible of part of the success. However, Christoph Kiessling, director of the complex, directed and supervised all the work, from the first sketch provided by the Professor Ruetai, Mr Olcina and the company Proslide Technology Inc., responsible this latter of the water installations in much of the Globe, in fact, claim to be pioneers in the major inventions in slides since 1986 (you will have to believe in theirs).
Another actor important, and Italian as my companion, is the designer Paolo Bonanno, he had complete freedom to create the decoration of the Park, and he had to travel to Thailand and Cambodia for the inspiration «in situ», a success if I may add. One feature of this park is the implementation of the highest technological quality in its facilities, intended to mark the difference through the excellence and the quality (not seems wrong way) respecting to the maximum the environment. 600 cubic meters of water extracted from the sea are filtered per day, treated in a desalination plant and are used in all the areas of the park, finally, is used for irrigation water.
Siam Park offers also spaces multidisciplinary for events, conventions, musical and even a surf school (obviously, I do not need). It includes, how it could be otherwise, restaurants, bars, a beach and shopping areas where to take something to remember (photos not, of course). To alleviate the great consumption of energy that characterizes a park of this size, possess the unique natural gas plant of the Islands (curious that there are no more, right?) this is used for to temper the water of the slides.
They are aware that the best commercial product of the Islands is the Sun, and have decided to support the renewable energy with the investing in the funding of SOLTEN II, and the generating up to 756 kW of energy by this means, even if their idea is to reach 2,035 kW in a second project. If we talk about the price of the entry only costs 39 euros (19 for residents) and, with luck, can rent the cabin by (just) 400 euros/night, you won’t regret it, believe me. But, as you can see, I detour from my main goal very quickly, the element natural par excellence and constructive by necessity.
It is said that the water is liquid gold, and this is a great truth. The water not only moisturizes and refreshes, also is part of all the industrial processes. Any scientific or technological advancement would not exist without it. Rationalize it has become an obsession, so this water park is an example of what we should do. No matter the amount of water that we use, what matters is to use properly and, above all, that we do not lose a drop. We will use a proper installation and suitable materials. The basic criteria: we will (always) seek the shortest route for pipelines, the lowest possible pressure (using the gravity) and will not store more than necessary. The speed of the water is measured in meters per second, if this speed is too high can cause breaks in the pipes and if it is low will produce deposits.
The water is transported by pressure, more exactly by the difference of pressure between two points, so when we raise water we should beat the atmospheric force, the weight of the liquid and the friction with the walls of the pipes. A few years ago the University Carlos III of Madrid, conducted a study on how the trees transport the water… this trees can to raise over 100 metres by suction, with studies like this someday we transport water without the need for high energy consumption. With its latest addition, the Shinga attraction, Siam Park includes in its interior a whopping sixteen different ways of enjoying the water… Do you want to enjoy with the water in the neck? Bye bye.

Siam Park Tenerife: grootste waterpark van Europa
Anouk
Zonvakantie
Waterraten opgelet!
Dit kan eenvoudig via onze partner Get Your Guide. Bijkomend voordeel: je hoeft ook nog eens niet in de rij te staan.

One of the most beloved entertainments for travelers. vacationers in the south of Tenerife is the Aqualand Costa Adeje water park (the old name is Octopus). Belongs to the Aqualand water park network. It is located just above the TF-1 highway, in the resort of Costa Adeje.
In Aqualand it will be equally interesting for adults and children, but more likely for the second, because everything is done in it to make the rest pleasant and rich, and water attractions are more or less gentle for small children and in addition to everything, here there is a dolphinarium with a daily dolphin show.
If your child is less than 1.10 m tall, then you should choose Aqualand, as opposed to Siam Park, which was built in 2008. Since most of the attractions in Siam have a height limit of 1.10 m and 1.25 m. Your child may be left unsatisfied with the small number of slides offered to him in Siam Park.
The symbol of Aqualand is a faucet hanging in the air, from which water runs under high pressure. Each visitor considers it his duty to take a picture near this “miracle of engineering”.
Aqualand was opened in 1997 and occupies a relatively small area, but this is rather its advantage – all the entertainment is located compactly, without winding extra kilometers on foot. Most of the slides were designed back in the late 90s, and some are morally and physically obsolete. Since 2013, work has been underway to restore and replace old ones with new ones.
Water attractions
There are a large number of pools of different depths filled with ocean water and 15 water attractions of varying difficulty. Additionally, relaxation is offered in the form of a massage, a bath with bubbling water – a jacuzzi.
Adrenaline
Flying Boats
Flying Boats have two high-speed slides 272 meters long, which change direction 4 times, intersecting each other with a double drop at different levels.
Death Race (Twister Race)
Four fast and fun trails for visitors, the descent takes place on sliding mats on water 80 meters long from a 14 meter height.
Multisurf
Attraction sixteen meters high, consists of 6 trails one hundred meters long each. You slide on the mat at high speed, like a wave in the ocean, reminiscent of surfing on a prone board.
Tornado

The program in the dolphinarium is very interesting and intense, dolphins jump, dance, show various tricks.
During the performance, dolphins take children in a boat, you can touch them, listen to a fascinating lecture about their life and take a photo with the dolphins for a memento of 20€.
Show schedule:
Daily at 15:30.

Information
All conditions for a comfortable stay are created on the territory of the water park – here you can rent a sun lounger, an umbrella and relax by the pool, have lunch, eat ice cream in one of the bars and cafes located on its territory. A big minus is that you need to pay an additional 2€ for sunbeds, 5€ for a locker for valuables and clothes. There are two cafes, the prices in them are overpriced, maybe two or three times, take something with you if necessary. At the exit, photographs are offered as a keepsake of your visit, the cost is 8 €, if necessary, you can refuse.
We recommend taking aqua shoes with you, as during the day the sun heats up the concrete floor quite strongly, it becomes uncomfortable and hot to walk on it, in some places it hurts walk.

Siam Park – Inostranno.ruAuthor: Andrey Sekachev in Travel Europe 08/12/2013 During your trip to Tenerife you should definitely visit Siam Park . Why is it necessary? Here are some of the reasons:
Already interested? Then let’s move on to a short digression into the history of the park. The opening date of the park was postponed several times, since none of the builders had experience working on objects of a similar scale. Water slides were installed by the Canadian company ProSlides. Twice as much money was spent on the beautification of the park as on the water slides themselves. The total cost of the project is 52 million euros. The park is named after the ancient king of Thailand – Siam . Before construction began, the plan for the park was approved by the Thai royal family. The spirit of Thailand is accurately conveyed in the park, because the royal architect, who was trained at the University of Bangkok, was responsible for the design of the park. It is curious that each pagoda in the park was painted by a group of 11 Thai masters who came to Tenerife with their materials specifically to make the buildings look as authentic as possible. At the entrance to the park there is an amphitheater sea lions . The largest California sea lions in Europe live here. Sea lions frolic and show tricks. Some of them are brought here from Loro Park, located in the northern part of the island. After looking at the sea lions, we go deep into the park and see the Wave palace (wave palace) with a sandy beach and free sun loungers and umbrellas. Those who wish can ride the waves, test themselves as a surfer and catch their first wave on the board by contacting Billabong Surf School ! When we were in Tenerife at the end of November 2017 the wave pool was closed. However, he resumed his work on December 6th. Slides are divided according to the degree of their sophistication into green (the easiest), yellow (medium difficulty) and red (the most difficult). The Red Hills are definitely not for the faint of heart. If you are not doing well with the vestibular apparatus, I recommend not even approaching them 🙂 The scariest slide of the water park with a red mark is the Kinnaree slide. Perhaps the most famous water attraction in Siam Park is the Tower of Power. Falling from a height of 28 meters and then flying through a pipe through a pool infested with sharks will tickle your nerves. One of the photographs clearly shows this underwater pipe. I was afraid to go up this hill, and in general, men mostly roll down it. The park also offers toboggan rides along the long winding Jungle snake . Thrill-seekers will undoubtedly enjoy The Giant water attraction, where you will first be spun on toboggans, and then “washed away” into a hole in the center. By the way, the famous dragon of the park is located on this attraction. In general, in Siam Park, on most of the slides you will ride on toboggans designed for 2, 3 or even 4 people. On this slide with a dragon, which has become the hallmark of the park, they ride on a toboggan for 4 people, and this makes the speed even higher! I can say with confidence that this slide is one of the scariest in the park. Unforgettable experiences are also guaranteed on Volcano. The current will swirl you in a dark cave illuminated from time to time by lightning. You will not see anything, and there will be pitch darkness around. While riding this hill, I constantly caught myself thinking about what would happen if I suddenly got stuck here – alone, and even in the dark. Compete in speed with your friends on this Naga Racer slide. Here you lie on your stomach on long mattresses and roll down with small descents. If you come to the park with children, take them directly to Lost city – a special complex of children’s water slides and a water fortress. During your stay in the water park you can have a bite to eat dishes of European and Thai cuisines. Also available in the water park are VIP houses for up to 4 people, where you can relax from the hustle and bustle and gain strength before the next water slides. How to get to the water park:Address: Avenida Siam Park, s/n 38670 Costa Adeje, Spain
Park opening hours: from May 1 to October 31 from 9.30 to 18.00, from November 1 to April 30 from 10.00 to 17.00. Ticket price for an adult is 35 euros, for children from 3 to 11 years old 25 euros. If you want to combine a visit to Siam Park with Loro Park, then a ticket to both parks (Twin ticket) will cost you 61 euros for an adult and 42 euros for children from 3 to 11 years old. It is also possible to buy a double ticket with travel to the northern part of the island to Loro Park. Siam Park is a very cool place for children and adults to relax! I myself am not a fan of water parks, but you definitely have not seen such a water park. Due to the fact that you are sliding not on your own back, but on a toboggan, after the water park you will definitely not get a backache, as it happens in other water parks. I can say with confidence that I have not seen such water parks either in Turkey, or in Germany, or on mainland Spain. So don’t waste 35 Euros and have a good day on the water rides! Welcome to Siam Tenerife Island Park Siam Park is open all year round , the water temperature is maintained at 25 °C, don’t worry, the park is also very comfortable in winter. All our photos and videos were taken in mid-December. Siam Park water park address Autopista del Sur TF- 1 Exit 73, 38660, Adeje, Tenerife, Spain, open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 Prices for visiting “Siam Park” – entrance fee and additional costs
The entrance ticket costs 34 euros, and for children 23 euros . When buying a ticket to Siam Park and Loro Park there is a discount. Near the park there is a parking lot, which costs 4 euros. In the park itself, you have to pay for a locker, there are three options, a small locker was enough for us, and you can fit the things of two people in it. The cost of the locker is like 2.5 euros and 5 euros deposit, which will be returned upon handing over the key. That’s actually all the expenses for visiting the park. Of course, we do not take food into account. Siam Park – one of the largest water parks in EuropeSiam Park is unmatched by other water parks, this is a grandiose approach to the construction of entertainment complexes, where Spain has really succeeded. Those who have been to the Spanish amusement park PortAventura near Barcelona will agree that the rides can surprise any tourist. PortAventura and Siam Park are two grandiose structures and you are lucky that you are now on the island of Tenerife and have the opportunity to see with your own eyes Siam Park and all its attractions. Why the park is called Siam (Siam Park) – the history of the water parkThe opening of Siam park took place in 2008, in September of this year, all the inhabitants of the island of Tenerife and numerous tourists for the first time appreciated all the delights of the new masterpiece of architecture from the Kisling family, who already owned Loro Park Siam (Siam Park) is an independent city that has its own infrastructure, water bodies, vegetation, its territory occupies about 19ha, and the design of the complex is designed in Thai style. The Kisling family had a special feeling for the mystery of Asia, which is why all the designs of the park were made in the style of the ancient city of Siam. The name Siam Park is taken from the name of the ancient city of Siam. Yes, it is worth describing the fact that the royal family of Thailand was invited to the opening ceremony in order to receive a blessing for permission to use the name of the ancient city of Siam in the name of the park. When you get to Siam Park, you plunge into the atmosphere of the ancient cities of Thailand. The design of the park buildings and the facades of the attractions, restaurants and statues depicting dragons, Thai symbols are all around, even the vegetation resembles Southeast Asia. The best slide in Siam Park – “Kamikaze” 28 meters of fear or the Tower of PowerAt the entrance to Siam Park, extreme slide “Kamikaze” catches the eye, its height is 28 meters, which is almost 10 floors, yes, not everyone dares to ride. The descent from the hill “Kamikaze” or “Tower of Power” is almost a vertical fall with great speed. At the end of the descent, you fly through a large aquarium with fish, but you won’t be able to see anything, because your eyes are closed, and there is no time to admire the beauty of the sea. In our video, we slowed down the flight through the pool pipe so that you understand what you are subscribing to)
In the summer, the Tenerife water park is very crowded, and the queue for the Kamikaze Tower of Power slide becomes huge. If you want to ride this crazy slide, then come to the opening and immediately go to the queue. We visited this park in the summer as well, but now we were more fortunate, it was winter (mid-December) and we went down the Kamikaze hill twice. The worst thing on the Kamikaze is the preparation for the descent. You are actually laid on a pipe and asked to cross your arms, then there is a briefing and a command sounds. Everyone shrinks from fear, but it’s too late to retreat. They push you from the start, and you flew …
Here the story will not help to survive the feelings, you have to go on your own. Make up your mind, Kamikaze Tower of Power slide is the best slide in Siam Park. Artificial beach and 3m wave pool (Siam Beach & Wave Palace)Artificial wave in Siam Park is another achievement and a record. This attraction attracts a large number of tourists and perhaps this is the second interesting place in the park, but only after the Kamikaze. White sandy beaches and blue water, but this is not the main thing, the main thing in this place is three-meter waves. Waiting for the wave is the most interesting thing, a lot of people swim at the exit of the wave in anticipation of a miracle. To be honest, I was not particularly impressed with three meters, on the ocean the waves look more dangerous and interesting.
Next to the artificial pool there is a good restaurant where you can have a bite to eat and relax a bit. Siam Park is very large, and we will not describe all its attractions, it is better for you to see and try everything yourself. When is the best time to visit Siam Park?We already wrote that we were here both in summer and in winter, I didn’t notice much difference in weather, but in December there are much fewer people. I would choose the beginning of winter to visit Siam Park. Winter is a great time to travel around the island of Tenerife. What is a double entry ticket – (Twin Ticket)At the entrance you will be offered to buy (twin-ticket), this will mean that you can visit two parks (“Loro” and “Siam”). If you have doubts about visiting Loro Park, then you can leave your doubts, you must definitely go to this park. Discount on purchase (Twin-Ticket) about 10 euros. The best water park in the world – Siam Park TenerifeGreetings from sunny Spain! Today we are going to the coolest water park in the world – Siam Park in Tenerife. In the article you will find all the necessary information on the Canarian water paradise – where it is located, how to get there, where and what tickets to buy, how much the second visit costs, what day of the week to go, we will also offer a budget alternative for children and much more. Article guide:
The best water park in the worldAt one time, it was the photo of Siam Park in the rating of water parks in Europe that caused the first trip to the Canary Islands in 2016. Yes! These are such strange travel motivators in adults over 30 with a ponytail.
Already by the next visit to the island of the water park in Tenerife, Siam Park confidently took the honorable first place in the list of best water parks in the world in 2017 (for the fourth time) according to tripadvisor. UPD: Tripadvisor’s rating is recognized by the world community as the only correct one, because the choice is made by ordinary travelers. In 2018, the people voted for the Canarian water park for the fifth time. Sea lion area in Siam Park The territory is incredibly beautiful, well-groomed, clean and green. Take the time to explore Siam in its entirety. Surprises await you in secluded corners. For example, such a waterfall. We study the local vegetation But, of course, people do not come here for beauty. Kamikaze Hill and other attractionsIn many reviews of Siam, even before the first acquaintance with the water park, I came across complaints that there were few water activities. I cannot agree with this. They are in abundance. They are simply scattered far from each other, and they often reach the last attractions by the time they close. Siam is full of vegetation
For the whole family: Lazy river one kilometer long. According to the rules, access to the river is allowed for persons with a height of 1.10 meters. In fact, no one is looking at it. They put life jackets on Arishka and Amir (they hang next to the start) and swam. Lazy River Top View Naga Racer is a head down downhill racer on mats. An amusing occupation for cowards, to whom I count myself. Children below 1.10 are not allowed on the hill. Amir fit the parameters, but he was afraid. Siam Beach Siam Beach and Wave Palace the most harmless pastime. There are sun loungers, umbrellas, swimming pool (free of charge). You can lie down and sunbathe. A few steps away is the catering area. Adults: The Giant – is a huge slide with all sorts of frills. Be sure to go! You will not regret. Unfortunately, children are not allowed. Dragon Waterslide Tower of Power (kamikaze) – is the most killer attraction. The only one that I bypass in any water park, and even more so in Siam. An almost vertical descent from a height of 28 meters at a speed of 80 km / h, at the bottom of which a surprise awaits you – sharks swimming about their business. Photo attraction title to the article.
For children: Lost City – kids area Lost City – a huge playground with 15 water slides for preschool and primary school children. A cheerful elephant behind Arishka Didn’t get there 🙂 We also found something for the younger Arina. We counted 4 such microhills, which is more than enough for a child of 2 years old There are water attractions Sawasdee for older children, they are located separately. Landmark – two red dragons. Graceful Black Swan Siam FAQ:Where can I park my car? The water park has a large open paid parking lot. The cost is 3 euros with a car. What time of day and year should I visit Siam Park? There are few people in winter. In the summer – pandemonium to such an extent that the administration of the park launched the “Night in Siam” project. Friday, Saturday – the most visited days, the middle of the week – fewer people. It is better to arrive at 9:00. Where to eat? The food in the park is expensive and tasteless (the usual fast food), there is also grilled chicken, salads, but they are simply disgusting. For four of us, we couldn’t manage to meet less than 30 euros for a snack. Drinks and beer with crazy markups.
Familiarize yourself with the weather in Costa Adeje before your trip Since Tenerife has 28 climatic zones, we strongly advise you to find out the weather in Costa Adeje in advance and not be guided by your location. It may be sunny in your location, but in Siam the sky is cloudy. Water park decor What to bring? Towels, water, sunscreen, change, swimwear, camera. Where to leave things? Luggage offices are scattered throughout the territory. The cost is 3 € + 5 € deposit, which is returned back. How is the age of children checked? Visual. No passports or other evidence is required. Personnel problems with purchase Second Visit
When buying a second visit to , they may try to “divorce” you, that is, include an additional 19.5 € per baby, and even begin to prove that these are the rules. No, they are not. Pool with sea lions Go straight to Tower of Power (kamikaze) Siam Park Water Park in Tenerife attracts tourists with its kamikaze slide, so as soon as you get inside and sort out your things, go to the Tower of Power.
