  Maybe bit longer, but it is good road.

  A frightening drive to get there

  If you are a nervous driver don’t go there.The drive down from Tijarafe is the steepest I have ever experienced.The road is very narrow and you find yourself praying you don’t meet a car going in the opposite direction !!!! We met 2 and reversing was a nightmare.
  However, if you do decide to go you will have a 15 minute walk from the car park before reaching one of the most amazing places I have ever seen and people actually live there.
  This really is an astonishing experience.
  But prepare yourself for the drive back up to the village.

  Nice beach, great water, but Nogales nicer and easier

  The route down to this nice beach, with fantastic water for swimming, is tough: A single track road that is steep and definitely not for the feint hearted. The path down is long, through a tunnel, and quite uneven – I went in flip flops and suffered, trainers or boots are more appropriate. And the way up is tough.
  There is absolutely no shade on this beach, so if you want any, take an umbrella.
  The thing that put me off the day we went were the number of boats and jet skis going in and out. It seems remote, but the houses and boats just take the edge off – Nogales on the other side of the island is more accessible and much nicer in my view.

  We stopped here for a wine tasting and we were not disappointed. We loved the Albillo Criollo (a local grape variety), which has been on French oak for six months. The German lady that helped us was very friendly and helpful.

Everything about our stay was just perfect. Angelica was a superb hostess and made sure that we had everything we needed. The entire stay felt as comfortable staying with family and was very very peaceful.
The apartment is perfectly equipped for lounging around, cooking, and hitting the beach. Angelica welcomed us with a basket of amazing fruits from her trees as well as fresh juice (all delicious and already sorely missed).
The property is lush and welcoming, with great facilities and plenty of space. Of course, this is La Palma, so you can expect some active driving to get into town, but the sunsets will do a good job convincing you to stay in.

Located in Tijarafe in the Canary Islands region, Casa Rosa is 700 meters from Puerto de Tazacorte Beach.
That one week we spent in Casa Rosa was one of the most wonderful time in our life. Rosa is the greatest, kindest, friendliest host we have ever seen.
Rosa, thank you so much for the very-very nice and delicious welcome home-made cakes, the amazing fruits and all your kindness!
The Casa Rosa is perfect! It’s nice, clean, perfectly equipped, comfortable kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom. But seriously, you have everything you need in a kitchen. The atmosphere is friendly, wonderful! We felt ourself like home.
And the great, beautiful terrace with the breathtaking, amazing oceanview! Then the sunset. .. As the sun sets in the Ocean! That was really like in a dream!
Everything was awesome!
Dear Rosa, we would definitely like to return and we will recommend you to everyone!
