• Convocatoria Ordinaria Programa de Planes de Sostenibilidad Turística en Destino 2021 (PSTD)

  		La Secretaría de Estado de Turismo (SETUR), a través de la Subdirección General de Desarrollo y Sostenibilidad Turística (SGDyST), apoyada en el Real Decreto-Ley 25/2020, de 3 de julio, de medidas urgentes para apoyar la reactivación de la economía y el empleo, aprobó en su artículo 10 los «Planes de Sostenibilidad Turística en Destinos», como instrumentos de apoyo a la inversión en actuaciones de impulso, adecuación y mejora de los destinos turísticos con el fin de aumentar su sostenibilidad.

Han sido muchos años planeando cada escapada con la misma ilusión que aquella primera vez que pisé las Canarias hace ya más de dos décadas. Muchos años soñando despierta con qué iba a encontrarme en cada nueva isla. Montañas, volcanes, playas, bosques, desiertos, piscinas naturales, pueblecitos con encanto, arquitectura colonial y ¿hace falta seguir? Claro que sí. Tras conocer todas las islas que componen el archipiélago, aquí estoy para resolverte un gran dilema. ¿Qué isla canaria visitar?. Un recorrido por lo mejor de cada una de las 8 Islas Canarias habitadas.

¿Qué isla canaria visitar? Los paisajes de El Hierro son una buena opción.

Creo que no hacen falta muchas explicaciones, pero vamos a contextualizar un poco. Se trata de un archipiélago situado frente a la costa noroeste de África, formado por 8 islas habitadas y varios islotes de menor tamaño. No hay ninguna que se parezca a otra. Ahí reside su verdadero valor. La increíble diversidad geológica y paisajística que nos ofrecen.

¿Qué isla canaria visitar? Lo mejor de cada una

Vamos allá. Se trata de un pequeño resumen con los puntos fuertes de cada isla. Qué tipo de paisaje las caracteriza y los principales atractivos turísticos para que puedas decidir cuál será tu próximo destino en las Islas Canarias. Como siempre, recuerda que este texto está basado en mi experiencia personal.

» Tenerife, el techo de España

Se trata de la isla más grande del archipiélago, también la más poblada, la que recibe más turistas a lo largo del año y el techo de España. Desde las impresionantes playas volcánicas del norte y las playas doradas del sur, hasta el punto más alto del país, el pico Teide con 3.718 metros de altura.

Pero Tenerife es mucho más que sus playas y los magníficos volcanes del Parque Nacional del Teide. Te lo dice una persona que la ha visitado en 3 ocasiones. En esta isla podemos soñar con increíbles bosques de Laurisilva en el Parque Rural de Anaga, también con paisajes lunares en Punta del Teno, incluso podemos adentrarnos en un tubo volcánico con 27.000 años de antigüedad en la Cueva del Viento, alucinar con los Acantilados de los Gigantes, admirar la arquitectura colonial de La Laguna y un largo etcétera.

En definitiva, Tenerife es un buen destino para los que desean sol y playa, también para los amantes de la naturaleza y el senderismo. La diversidad de paisajes y planes que hacer en esta isla es brutal.

👍LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTA DE TENERIFE

• El Teide. No tengo ninguna duda al respecto. Este parque nacional, el más visitado de Europa, ya es motivo más que suficiente por sí mismo para organizar un viaje a Tenerife.
• Bosques de Laurisilva y playas increíbles en Anaga.
• Delfines y ballenas en libertad muy cerca de las costas tinerfeñas.
• Ciudades y pueblos con encanto. Aquí cabe destacar la preciosa ciudad de San Cristobal de la Laguna y los pueblecitos de Garachico, Icod de los Vinos y Candelaria, entre otros.
• Playa salvajes impresionantes como por ejemplo la playa de Benijo, El Bollullo o La Tejita.

👎LO QUE MENOS ME GUSTA DE TENERIFE

• La masificación turística del sur. Al disfrutar de mejores temperaturas y playa asegurada prácticamente durante todo el año, la zona sur de Tenerife suele encontrarse abarrotada de urbanizaciones. macrocomplejos hoteleros terribles y muchísimos turistas, sobre todo ingleses y alemanes. Me refiero principalmente a las localidades de Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas o Costa Adeje, entre otras.

» Gran Canaria, un pequeño gran continente

Aunque parezca increíble, ha sido la última que he tenido el gustazo de conocer. Y es que estamos hablando de la segunda en el ranking de islas que reciben mayor cantidad de turistas, por detrás de Tenerife. Sin embargo, había algo que año tras año me echaba para atrás. Los prejuicios están para eso, para ser derribados. Me encontré con una Gran Canaria interior salvaje, repleta de paisajes de otro planeta, de pueblitos con encanto, una capital bellísima y un pedacito de costa aún virgen y salvaje.

Las impresionantes Dunas de Maspalomas.

Gran Canaria es muy famosa por sus kilométricas playas de arena dorada del sur, también por las Dunas de Maspalomas reposando junto al océano, por conservar numerosos conjuntos de arquitectura canaria bien conservados y por unas cumbres que ofrecen miradores increíbles. Es difícil superar los atardeceres desde el Pico de las Nieves con la silueta del Roque Nublo dibujada en el horizonte. Sin embargo, me parece aún más importante lo que Gran Canaria guarda en secreto, una isla repleta de agradables sorpresas. Y eso hay que descubrirlo en persona.

Resumiendo, Gran Canaria es un destino estupendo para los que van en busca de sol y playa, para los más urbanitas, y también ideal para los amantes de los roadtrip y las carreteras panorámicas.

👍LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTA DE GRAN CANARIA

• La capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, cuenta con un centro histórico espectacular y una de las playas urbanas más impresionantes que he tenido la suerte de conocer, la playa de Las Canteras.
• La increíble cantidad de pueblos bonitos. Entre ellos, destacan Teror, Tejeda, Fataga, Arugas y Firgas.
• Las Dunas de Maspalomas son, sin duda, uno de los paisajes más impactantes de todas las Islas Canarias.
• El montañoso interior de la isla. Gran Canaria es una verdadera caja de sorpresas y el interior de la isla esconde buena parte de ellos.
• Las playas salvajes y charcos de aguas cristalinas del norte y noroeste de la isla como la increíble playa de Güi Güi.

👎LO QUE MENOS ME GUSTA DE GRAN CANARIA

• La masificación turística del sur. Me pasa lo mismo que en Tenerife. El sur está cuajado de playas kilométricas de arena dorada pero también de horribles aberraciones urbanísticas. Una verdadera pena.
• Las distancias son muy grandes y las carreteras del interior bastante malas. Si quieres recorrerla entera y pernoctar todos los días en un mismo punto de la isla, vas a tener que pasar mucho tiempo en el coche.

» Lanzarote, la isla de los volcanes

Seguimos en orden descendente. Vamos a conocer la tercera más visitada del archipiélago. Una isla, Lanzarote, marcada por las continuadas erupciones volcánicas a lo largo de su historia. Las últimas se produjeron durante los siglos XVIII y XIX, y marcaron la orografía de lo que es hoy en día el Parque Nacional de Timanfaya. Un mar de lava solidificado hasta donde te alcance la vista, tonos oscuros y de una pureza que parecen irreales. Sin duda, es lo más cerca que vas a estar de caminar por la luna.

Esos tonos negros, rojizos y ocres se funden con un océano, a veces furioso a veces en calma, para ofrecernos imágenes de grandes contrastes. En Lanzarote puedes asomarte a un cráter volcánico con miles de años de antigüedad, también puedes bañarte en playas y charcos naturales de aguas cristalinas, disfrutar de paisajes costeros abruptos y salvajes, caminar por las entrañas de un tubo volcánico, también por las callejuelas blancas de Teguise o admirar las obras arquitectónicas de César Manrique, un gran artista oriundo de Lanzarote.

Resumiendo, si quieres descubrir los paisajes volcánicos más espectaculares de todas las Islas Canarias y también disfrutar de preciosas playas de aguas cristalinas, Lanzarote es tu isla.

👍LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTA DE LANZAROTE

• El Parque Nacional de Timanfaya es brutal. Los paisajes volcánicos de Lanzarote no se pueden comparar a los de ninguna isla canaria.
• La playa Charco de los Clicos y su contraste de colores.
• Las impresionantes playas de Punta del Papagayo, también la kilométrica playa de Famara o la salvaje playa del Risco.
• La huella arquitectónica de César Manrique en los Jameos del Agua, el Mirador del Río o el Jardín de Cactus.
• Se encuentra a solo 30 minutos en barco de la isla de La Graciosa.

👎LO QUE MENOS ME GUSTA DE LANZAROTE

• Sus principales atracciones turísticas son de pago como el circuito por el Parque Nacional de Timanfaya, la Cueva de los Verdes, el Mirador del Río, los Jameos del Agua o el acceso a las playas de Punta del Papagayo.

» La Graciosa, un pedacito de paraíso

Te lo adelantaba hace un momento. Uno de los puntos fuertes de Lanzarote es que precisamente se encuentra a pocos minutos de navegación la isla de menor tamaño entre las islas habitadas de Canarias. La octava isla, La Graciosa. Quizás, la más exótica de todas ellas.

Si no has oido hablar mucho de La Graciosa es porque se trata del secreto mejor guardado de las islas afortunadas. En realidad, nos encontramos ante el Parque Natural del Archipiélago de Chinijo. Un conjunto formado por tres islas mayores (sólo una habitada) y pequeños islotes que conforman la mayor reserva marina de Europa. ¡Casi nada!

Para acceder a La Graciosa puedes optar por contratar una excursión organizada o reservar tu plaza en los ferris diarios que salen desde el puerto de Órzola, en el norte de Lanzarote. Si tienes suficiente tiempo disponible, lo mejor que puedes hacer es pernoctar un par de días allí. Te aseguro que se convertirá en una experiencia inolvidable.

Si quieres desconectar de todo, disfrutar de playas y paisajes increíbles, y vivir en un pequeño pueblo sin tráfico y con calles de arena, La Graciosa debería ser tu próximo destino dentro de las Islas Canarias. Es un sueño.

👍LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTA DE LA GRACIOSA

• Las playas de aguas cristalinas, de tonos azul turquesa y salvajes como pocas junto a volcanes de tonos rojizos.
• No hay carreteras asfaltadas ni coches, sólo caminos de tierra y arena. De hecho, puedes y debes recorrer la isla al completo en bicicleta. Los únicos coches que circulan son algunos vehículos 4×4 que funcionan como taxi para turistas.
• Caleta de Sebo, el principal núcleo habitado, es un precioso pueblo de casitas blancas y calles de arena.

👎LO QUE MENOS ME GUSTA DE LA GRACIOSA

• Masificación en temporada alta. Tuve la suerte de visitar La Graciosa en octubre, temporada baja y sin apenas turistas. Dicen que, durante los meses de verano, al no haber una regulación extricta del tráfico marítimo, la isla recibe más turismo del que debería soportar.

» La Gomera y sus bosques de fantasía

¿Aún no sabes qué isla canaria visitar?. Pues muy atento que vienen curvas. He de reconocer que La Gomera es una de mis favoritas. Y, si llegas hasta el final del artículo descubrirás con qué otras islas comparte mi TOP 3 personal. Desde su altura máxima que alcanza el Pico de Garajonay (1.487 metros de altitud) hasta un litoral accidentado en el que se suceden playas de arena negra y acantilados, tenemos a nuestra disposición una diversidad de espacios naturales impresionante.

Bosques de laurisilva en La Gomera.

Pero La Gomera no se entendería sin mencionar su paisaje más característico, los bosques de laurisilva canaria del Parque Nacional de Garajonay. Se trata de un tipo de bosque subtropical que, en la actualidad, sólo sobrevive en las islas de la región macaronésica. Y precisamente, La Gomera y en concreto el espacio protegido del Parque Nacional de Garajonay conserva uno de los mejores exponentes de estos bosques milenarios.

Si quieres viajar a Canarias en busca de playas, en La Gomera las vas a encontrar. Pero, desde luego, no debería ser tu motivo principal de visita. Esta pequeña isla es salvaje y está repleta de senderos. Si no pretendes meter tus botas de montaña en la maleta, quizás debas tomar otra elección.

👍LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTA DE LA GOMERA

• Garajonay sin duda alguna. Este parque nacional ocupa más del 10% del territorio de la isla. Nos ofrece decenas de miradores y rutas de senderismo de menor y mayor dificultad.
• El impresionante mirador de Abrante. Un balcón acristalado con impresionantes vistas sobre la vecina isla de Tenerife y El Teide.
• El oasis tropical de Valle Hermoso.
• El encanto y las playas de San Sebastián de La Gomera.
• Los atardeceres hippies de Valle Gran Rey.

👎LO QUE MENOS ME GUSTA DE LA GOMERA

• El turismo de autobús de ida y vuelta desde Tenerife. Muchos turistas deciden visitar La Gomera desde Tenerife en barco en un sólo un día. Eso hace que los mejores miradores permanezcan abarrotados durante las horas centrales de turistas que sólo están de paso.

» La Palma: volcanes y estrellas

Otra de estas islas que nunca me cansaría de repetir. Ya he acudido en dos ocasiones a su encuentro y no descarto que haya una tercera. La Palma es la isla de los volcanes, también de los bosques de laurisilva, de cumbres que superan los 2. 000 metros, del mar de nubes, de los mejores cielos para observación de estrellas, de carreteras panorámicas con un millón de curvas, de raíces cubanas, de plataneras, de ron, de salsa y un millón de cosas más. La Palma lo tiene casi todo.

¿Qué isla canaria visitar? La Palma es una buenísima opción.

En definitiva, La Palma es una isla para patearla, para recorrerla en coche, para saborearla y disfrutar de un cielo cuajado de estrellas. ¿Playas?. Las tiene y algunas increíbles, pero de nuevo te digo que para destinos de sol y playa tienes otras islas más adecuadas.

👍LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTA DE LA PALMA

• La impresionante Caldera de Taburiente, sus miradores, adentrarse por sus senderos y ascender hasta el Roque de los Muchachos a 2426 metros de altura.
• Rutas de senderismo increíbles como la Ruta de los Volcanes, el Bosque de los Tilos o el Cubo de la Galga.
• Un atardecer desde las Salinas de Fuencaliente.
• Observación de estrellas en la isla con mejor calidad de cielos.
• Disfrutar de la arquitectura canaria en Santa Cruz de La Palma.
• Los Volcanes de Teneguía sus coladas de lava y conos volcánicos de colores súper intensos.

👎LO QUE MENOS ME GUSTA DE LA PALMA

• Peor accesibilidad desde la península. La Palma cuenta con rutas aéreas directas desde la península pero no hay muchas opciones y los vuelos salen más caros que a otras islas. Se debe reservar con antelación.

» El Hierro, una joya aún por descubrir

Otra de las islas más desconocidas del archipiélago que merece muchísimo la pena visitar. A veces, ese desconocimiento nos hace perdernos verdaderas joyas de la naturaleza. Aquí el océano en constante lucha con la roca volcánica ha creado piscinas naturales alucinantes. También encontraremos volcanes de mil colores, los ya famosos bosques milenarios de laurisilva, faros perdidos en el fin del mundo e increíbles cortados rocosos que mueren abruptamente en el mar.

Pero, si por algo se ha hecho famosa la isla de El Hierro y es capaz de atraer un buen número de turistas a lo largo del año, no es por su atractivos turísticos más visibles, sino por su tesoro sumergido bajo el mar. Estoy hablando de la increíble biodiversidad de la Reserva Marina de La Restinga en pleno Mar de las Calmas. Dicen que es uno de los mejores lugares para bucear de Europa y de todo el mundo.

Si quieres desconectar de todo, disfrutar de una naturaleza aún salvaje y conocer a fondo la isla más sorprendente de Canarias, El Hierro es una elección inmejorable.

👍LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTA DE EL HIERRO

• Sus charcos naturales de todos los tamaños, formas y colores.
• Los bosques de laurisilva de La Llanía.
• Los fondos marinos de La Restinga.
• Los impresionantes cortados del Valle del Golfo y también del Monumento Natural de las Playas.
• La inmensa tranquilidad que se respira en toda la isla. El turismo de masas aquí no existe. Apenas hay tráfico ni puntos atestados de turistas.

👎LO QUE MENOS ME GUSTA DE EL HIERRO

• El acceso a la isla de El Hierro desde la península requiere combinar dos aviones, o avión y barco. Un precio que merece la pena pagar por disrutar de una isla tan auténtica y tranquila.

» Fuerteventura, la isla con playas paradisíacas

Es el destino playero por excelencia. Tiene las mejores playas de todas las Islas Canarias con mucha diferencia. Desde las playas de El Cotillo y las Dunas de Corralejo con sus aguas cristalinas de tonos verdes y azules súper intensos, hasta las playas más salvajes de la Península de Jandía y las del islote de Lobos. Nos encontramos ante el verdadero paraíso canario. Nada que envidiar a las playas de las Islas Baleares o las mejores playas de el Caribe.

Playas de las Dunas de Corralejo.

Fuerteventura es la segunda isla más grande de las Islas Canarias. Ya sabemos lo que nos ofrece su increíble perímetro costero pero ¿qué hay del interior?. Un paisaje árido, seco y desértico que, por momentos, nos transporta muy lejos. Y es que parece que nos hayamos trasladado hasta el Far West americano. Imprescindible visitar el precioso pueblo de Betancuria, y tambien multitud de miradores impresionantes como el Mirador de las Peñitas, el Mirador de Morro Velosa, o el Mirador Sicasumbre.

Ya lo sabes. Playas, playas y más playas. Si te apetece tomar el sol y disfrutar de algunas de las mejores playas de España, sin duda, Fuerteventura debe estar en tu lista de próximos destinos.

👍LO QUE MÁS ME GUSTA DE FUERTEVENTURA

• Las Dunas de Corralejo son espectaculares. Un paisaje donde la arena lo domina todo y las playas de aguas cristalinas son una tentación difícil de resistir.
• Playas de color esmeralda y aul turquesa de los tonos más potentes e irreales que hayas visto en tu vida repartidas por toda la isla. Desde El Cotillo hasta Morro Jable.
• La playa de Cofete, kilómetros de arena y gigantescos muros rocosos.
• La Isla de Lobos, un pequeño islote cargado de atractivos.
• Un interior de la isla desértico, con miradores y paisajes súper chulos.

👎LO QUE MENOS ME GUSTA DE FUERTEVENTURA

• El viento. Sí ese viento que caracteriza la isla de Fuerteventura y que hay días que te puede impedir disfrutar de las playas.
• Las distancias kilométricas. De un extremo a otro de la isla se puede demorar cerca de dos horas en coche.

¿Cuándo es mejor visitar las Islas Canarias?

Esta respuesta es verdaderamente sencilla. ¡Todo el año!. ¿Es que nadie te ha contado que son las islas de la eterna primavera?. Las temperaturas suelen ser muy estables, sin oscilaciones bruscas a lo largo de todo el año. De hecho, la temporada alta de este archipiélago no sólo comprende los meses de julio y agosto. La época comprendida entre los meses de diciembre hasta abril es temporada de gran ocupación.

¿Conclusión? Cualquier mes es bueno para preparar el viaje. Yo os puedo decir que he viajado a Canarias en verano, en primavera, en otoño y también en invierno. Y, salvo una ocasión en la que tuve que cambiar de planes por una gran temporal de nieve en El Teide, siempre he tenido buenas experiencias. SEGURO DE VIAJES TAMBIÉN PARA CANARIAS

La crisis del coronavirus lo ha puesto todo patas arriba y, ahora más que nunca (sobre todo cuando hay que coger un avión), es súper importante viajar con un seguro que nos permita recuperar el dinero si hay que cancelar el viaje, cubrir los gastos de una posible cuarentena y más coberturas que se convierten en imprescindibles si sucediese algo.

‘Vale Rebeca, no me has resuelto las dudas‘, pensarás. ¿Qué isla canaria visitar? ¿cuál merece más la pena?. Es difícil decirlo. Todas y cada una de ellas tienen su propia magia. Ese algo que las hace únicas frente a las demás. Pero he decidido mojarme. Y, si me preguntas directamente, te diré que a pesar de que volvería a visitarlas todas, mis favoritas son El Hierro, La Palma y La Gomera.

Temperaturas medias que oscilan entre los 19 y 24ºC esperan a los que visitan alguna de las islas canarias a lo largo de todo el año. Un clima suave y placentero que permite disfrutar de la isla y de sus encantos más secretos independientemente de que vayamos coincidiendo con algunas de las fechas más importantes de su calendario de festejos y tradiciones o no.

Playas de ensueño y la posibilidad de poder elegir entre tumbarnos sobre la arena fina, o en playas de roca volcánica o incluso en todo un abanico de pequeñas calas solitarias, las hacen todo un atractivo para los amantes de las olas y el bronceado. Pero no solo eso. Canarias es también tierra de deportes, de gastronomía, de naturaleza virgen, de artesanía y cultura… Un crisol de posibilidades que, aunque se pueden encontrar y llevar a la práctica en todas ellas, se vuelven algo más especiales en una concreta.

150 kilómetros de playa de arena dorada y aguas turquesas son el mejor marco en el que desarrollar todo tipo de actividades. Corralejo y Puerto del Rosario al norte, así como Costa Calma al sur, suelen ser los focos que atraen a la mayoría de los turistas. En ellos, al igual que en toda Fuerteventura, se puede llevar a cabo todo tipo de deportes, desde exóticos como la Bola Canaria o el Juego del Palo, al buceo, las salidas en catamarán, la equitación, el golf, el ciclismo en ruta o el kitesurf. Además de ser toda la isla Reserva de la Biosfera, es también Reserva Starlight gracias a la belleza y limpieza de sus cielos, que permiten observaciones de estrellas impactantes.

Le gustará a… los que quieran pasar sus vacaciones de deporte en deporte sin cansarse.

Tenerife: para amantes del lujo

Si hay un rincón canario que ha apostado claramente por el turismo de gran lujo, es la isla de Tenerife. Por un lado, con establecimientos que atraen a los VIPs más exigentes, especialmente los situados en la costa de Adeje. Pero también que sea el lugar en el que más restaurantes con estrella Michelin hay de Canarias (The Ritz-Carlton, Abama, Kabuki, Kazán…), que se haya desarrollado todo un programa de turismo gastronómico en torno a las especialidades y vinos de la isla; así como a los spas y balnearios. Y todo ello sin olvidar el Teide o los diferentes Beach Club.

La Palma: para amantes de la naturaleza virgen

Recuperándose poco a poco del horrible incendio que la sacudió el año pasado, la isla de La Palma es uno de los focos principales del turismo activo en Canarias. Además del buceo en sus fondos profundos llenos de cuevas, no faltan opciones para realizar mountain bike, senderismo, observación de estrellas… La red de senderos tiene 1.000 kilómetros señalizados con balizas y no falta la oportunidad de recorrerlos en quad o sobrevolarlos en parapente, así como circunnavegar La Palma en una piragua. La naturaleza salvaje, única en el mundo, permite fragancias florales inimaginables en un paseo, así como adentrarse en bosques perfectos.

Le gustará a… los que quieran empezar a andar por la mañana y no querer parar al caer el sol.

Un rincón: Los Tilos, uno de los bosques de laurisilva más importantes del archipiélago canario.

Gran Canaria: para amantes de la fiesta

Si hay algo que los canarios saben hacer a la perfección, eso es divertirse. El Carnaval, de fama universal, es una buena muestra de ello, pero no la única fiesta. De hecho, hay una isla, la de Gran Canaria, donde convergen todo tipo de actividades culturales que invitan al disfrute, con diferentes grados de locura. Desde los festivales de Ópera y Cine en Las Palmas, a las fiestas más salvajes de Maspalomas, pasando por las fiestas del Charco, donde todo el mundo acaba embarrado, los bailes del solajero, las tradiciones festivas de los pescadores… Es casi imposible aburrirse si eres todo un fiestero.

Le gustará a… los que quieran darlo todo las 24 horas del día, esté el sol o la luna.

El Hierro: para amantes de la tranquilidad

El Hierro es la más occidental y meridional de las Canarias. De hecho, hasta 1885, la Punta de Orchilla fue considerada el meridiano 0, convirtiéndose así en uno de los más usados en los mapas del siglo XVI y XVII. Es la primera isla completamente autosuficiente mediante fuentes de energía renovables y cuenta con 46 puntos de inmersión en un paisaje submarino que aun se está formando (la última erupción fue en 2011). Pero si por algo destaca El Hierro es por la tranquilidad. No hay masificaciones, no hay estrés ni prisa. La vida contemplativa, tranquila, tiene en este rincón esquinado su particular retiro estival.

La Gomera: para amantes de los escenarios mágicos

Declarada Reserva de la Biosfera tanto por su ecosistema marino como terrestre, la isla de La Gomera bien podría parecer un escenario en el que tramoyistas cambian constantemente el paisaje. De valles de palmeras a bosques milenarios, pasando por playas de arena negra, aguas turquesas y brillantes, acantilados ralos y oscuros… Acercarse al bosque de El Cedro es tan imprescindible como hacerse a la mar en busca de ballenas (es el lugar de Canarias donde hay más concentración de cetáceos). Otro plan perfecto es ir de caserío en caserío probando exquisiteces y viendo la arquitectura tradicional.

Le gustará a… los que quieren ser sorprendidos a cada vuelta del camino con un paisaje.

Una excursión: adentrarse en el Parque Nacional de Garajonay.

Un sabor: potaje de berros, servido en platos de madera de sabina o aceviño.

Lanzarote: para amantes de la gastronomía

La asombrosa naturaleza volcánica de Lanzarote hace que baste un par de minutos para enamorarnos de sus paisajes únicos. Es una de las islas que más presume de playas, en tanto que cuenta con algunas como la de Papagayo, considerada la mejor de España. Con diferentes áreas: Teguise, Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen, Timanfaya… Lanzarote se ha configurado como uno de los rincones más especiales en materia gastronómica. Cocineros que llevan a cabo cocina de autor añaden a sus menús un sinfín de platos e ingredientes autóctonos convirtiendo el resultado en todo un paraíso para los sentidos.

Tenerife Island

The largest island in the Canary Islands is called Tenerife. When visiting it, of course, you should pay attention to its capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, rich in museums, architectural monuments and beautiful parks. In the 1950s a national park was founded here, which pleases tourists with beautiful views and landscapes and where you can climb the mountain. They are popular for their caves, which surprise and delight tourists with their views. In the capital of the island, the ancient city of Betancuria, there is a real work of architectural art – the Church of St. Mary.




Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria also has many wonderful beaches. And to get acquainted with the history and culture of the island, it is worth visiting its capital – Las Palmas. Here is the Bishop’s Palace, the Cathedral, the monastery of St. Francis, the Columbus Museum, the Canarian Museum and many other attractions. In the north of the island, there is the cave of La Que Pintada, where rock paintings have been preserved, whose age is about 2 thousand years. They were made by the ancient tribes of the Guanches who inhabited the islands before they were discovered by Europeans.

Lanzarote Island

Tourists in the Canary Islands should definitely visit the island of Lanzarote, which impresses with its unearthly views. The fact is that there are more than 300 volcanoes on this island. La Palma Island

On the squares of Columbus, Bastio, San Frances, Reyal, Miranda and Conquest, the life of the city is concentrated. There are magnificent palaces and historical buildings.
