We offer you to look at this place and then you yourself will understand that this place is truly magical and it is worth coming here for a vacation.
A bit of geography
And so, the Costa Brava is a coast, and some say that it is a strip. This miracle is located in the northeast of Catalonia, in the province of Girona. Actually, Barcelona is about 60 kilometers from here, and the Costa Brava borders on France and the border is natural mountains with beautiful landscapes and picturesque paintings. Ski resorts can also be found here in winter.
Video about Costa Brava
If you haven’t visited the coast yet, then watch a beautiful video that shows all the beauty of the coastline 200 kilometers long. In the video, you will see the cities, look at the best beaches in the country and penetrate the rest so that you want to immediately go here.
Climate and weather Costa Brava
This place is one of the three most visited places in the country by tourists. But in general, the Costa Brava is the coldest place in the country, if we take the average temperature for the year.
The climate here is mild and stable. Still, this is the Mediterranean Sea and there are almost no unpleasant surprises. In summer, when the holiday season is in full swing, the air temperature is always above +30 degrees.
July and August are the hottest months. During these months, the temperature can easily rise to +35 degrees.
Winter months are the coldest. During the day there is almost no heat above +10, and at night it can drop to +2 +4. The rainiest month is November, at the end of autumn there are 15-18 days with rain. And the amount of precipitation reaches 120 millimeters.
Map of Spain from the Costa Brava
Look directly at the map. Where is the Costa Brava and what cities are on it.
Map of the Costa Brava with cities and resorts
And now we offer you a new map with the Costa Brava. The map shows cities and resorts located along the coast. You will see how far Barcelona is from the first city of the coast, where the border with France passes and how far Andorra is.
Getting to Barcelona is not difficult, the express bus runs on the route Tossa de Mar – Lloret de Mar – Barcelona about 7 times a day and the ticket costs about 6 euros, and the fare for a taxi will be about 90 euros. But still, the main mode of transport on the coast is comfortable commuter trains. The railway runs along the coast from the town of Blanes to Barcelona and beyond. Trains leave every 30 minutes (traffic stops at night), the ticket price varies depending on the day of the week and is approximately 3 euros. From the town of Lloret de Mar, the Blanes train station can be reached by bus, which also leaves every 30 minutes from the bus terminal. But there is an alternative way to travel between neighboring resorts – these are pleasure boats plying between the cities of Blanes, Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar several times a day. The price of a boat ticket is 3 – 8 euros one way, depending on the distance. Moving between the resorts of this coast by taxi will cost you about 6 – 20 euros. Prices are for one way only.
What to do?
Resting in the resorts of the Costa Brava, you can successfully combine a beach holiday with excursions. Moreover, there really is something to see. Well, how not to visit Barcelona, for example? Not to see the famous creation of Antonio Gaudi – Sagrada Familia? 145 km from Barcelona is the magnificent medieval city of Girona. Not far from this historical monument is the town of Figueres, where the theater-museum of Salvador Dali is located. It is also impossible not to visit the miracle of ancient architecture, the symbol of Catalonia – erected at an altitude of 721 m above sea level and surrounded by bizarre rocks, the monastery of Montserrat. A full day excursion to the independent Principality of Andorra – a duty-free zone – is a “deep dive” in shopping. In the town of Valtordera, you can see a real medieval jousting tournament, as well as become a participant in a medieval festival with dancing and dinner. Not only children, but also the older generation will enjoy visiting the Marineland dolphinarium, the Aqualeon minizoo, water parks, the largest of which is called Water World and is located near Lloret de Mar.
Resorts
The resorts of Barcelona and Costa Brava, which have long been known collectively as the “Costa Brava”, are located on the northern coast of Spain and are deservedly loved by tourists from all over the world.
Vacationers are attracted by affordable prices, a large selection of entertainment for the whole family, developed infrastructure and proximity to Barcelona – the capital of Catalonia.

Lloret de Mar is popular with young people who prefer outdoor activities and entertainment.
Beach lovers will appreciate the long beaches of Calella and Santa Susanna, their picturesque surroundings and seafood.
