However, Britons have faced travel chaos at airports which may last into the summer months as the industry struggles with staff shortages.
Heathrow boss, Nigel Milton, said passengers were partly to blame for the lengthy queues over the Easter weekend.
He said: “What we have seen is that the rejects of hand luggage is about twice the level it was in 2019 because people have forgotten they’ve got to take liquids out, even though all the signs are there, even though we’re saying it to them.”
Tourists are advised to travel to the airport with lots of time to spare to make sure they can clear security for their flight.

In this photo released by Spain’s Maritime Safety and Rescue Society on Tuesday Nov. 29, 2022, three men are photographed on an oil tanker anchored in the port of the Canary Islands, Spain. Spain’s Maritime Rescue Service says it has rescued three stowaways traveling on a ship’s rudder in the Canary Islands after the vessel sailed there from Nigeria. The men were found on the Alithini II oil tanker at the Las Palmas port. (Salvamento Maritimo via AP)
BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — The three Nigerian stowaways found on an oil tanker’s rudder after an 11-day ocean voyage from Lagos, Nigeria to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands are seeking asylum in Spain, a spokesperson for the Spanish government delegation in the Canaries said Wednesday.
The three men were picked up Monday by Spain’s Maritime Rescue Service from the rudder of the Alithini II ship and transferred to two hospitals on the island of Gran Canaria with symptoms of dehydration and hypothermia. One of them remained hospitalized while the other two had been released, Spanish authorities said.
According to Spanish law, unless the stowaways seek asylum, or are minors, the ship owner or agent is responsible for returning them to their point of departure – in this case, Lagos. Given that they are now seeking asylum, the ship is free to leave port again.
The asylum seekers’ identities and their motives for leaving Nigeria and hiding on the ship’s rudder haven’t been made public.
Earlier Wednesday, the human rights organization Walking Borders issued a statement demanding the Spanish government halt their potential return to Nigeria and calling for their cases to be assessed individually. The statement was issued following reports by Spanish authorities that two of the men were returned to the vessel for a potential return.
The non-governmental organization advocated that they be placed into the government’s humanitarian program for migrants so they could recover from their voyage and possibly seek asylum.
Spain’s Maritime Rescue Service shared a poignant photo that went viral this week showing the three men sitting precariously on top of the rudder with their feet only a few centimeters (inches) from the water’s surface under the ship’s massive hull.
Current satellite and rain images for Las Galletas, Spain
The location marker is placed on Las Galletas. [More]
The real-time satellite image combines visible light during daytime with infrared radiation during nighttime. At night, the image is not dark as infrared radiation can detect temperature differences. Unfortunately, low clouds and fog are difficult to distinguish from ground temperatures and thus can be almost invisible during the night. Meteosat satellite images for Europe are updated in real-time every 5 minutes. GOES-16/GOES-17 (North & South America) and Himawari (Asia) images update every 10 minutes.
Precipitation is estimated from radar and satellites. At night precipitation estimates from satellites are less accurate than during daytime. Orange crosses mark places where lightning was detected (over Europe).

Popular activities in Tenerife | sunbonoo.com
As in Los Gigantes at Marina Port, many boats leave for exciting tours on the rest of the island
Water sports are one of the most popular activities on Tenerife. For surfers, wind and kite surfers and sailors, the Canary Island with its north-east trade winds is a boon. Boat trips across the Atlantic are also popular among tourists – not least because dolphins, whales and orcas can often be observed off the coast of Tenerife. Furthermore, the island is the perfect place for hiking and cycling due to its different altitudes.
1. Boat tours
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, Tenerife is the perfect place for boat trips – for half-day or day trips with or without skipper. The choice ranges from trips on speedboats to sailing trips on yachts and catamaran tours.
When the boats depart from the south of Tenerife, whale and dolphin watching is often a highlight of the tour, while other boat tours in Tenerife are designed for you to jump into the water in a lonely bay.
There are five recommendations for unforgettable boat trips in Tenerife:
Adventure day 1
A pirate boat trip with whale and dolphin watching: Tenerife has a lively history, which includes pirates and privateers. You will be taken back to those times in a beautiful wooden boat that will take you on a 2, 3 or 5 hour boat trip from Los Cristianos or Puerto Colón to La Caleta, Los Gigantes and Masca. Swimming stops in the most picturesque corners and dolphin sightings are part of this tour.
Adventure day 2
A sailing trip on a comfortable yacht: On this relaxing sailing trip on Tenerife you will sail for three hours on a luxury sailing yacht from Puerto Colón to La Gomera. Along the coast it is not uncommon to catch a glimpse of whales, dolphins and turtles.
Adventure day 3
A round trip along the south coast in a glass-bottom boat: The excursion on the glass-bottom boat takes a little more time. The half-day excursion stops at the most beautiful coastal towns in the south of the island from Puerto Colón at Playa de Las Américas in the direction of La Gomera. Also on this tour you can see one or the other dolphin in the wild! During the trip, the glass bottom of the boat gives you a view of the rich underwater world.
Adventure day 4
A Submarine ride through the underwater world of Tenerife: Absolutely spectacular is a submarine ride through the fascinating, little explored underwater world of Marina San Miguel. Through the panoramic windows of the submarine you can watch the colourful underwater life during the 50-minute trip at a depth of 30 metres.
Adventure day 5
A party boat with live DJ: Anyone can party at Playa Las Americas, but few people will have ever danced on a party boat. On the 4.5-hour catamaran tour you can dance with other Tenerife holidaymakers to a live DJ. The tour starts from Puerto Colon (Adeje). Unlimited drinks and champagne shower included! Occasional swimming stops cool down the party animals in the Atlantic Ocean.
For half-day trips or full-day excursions on Tenerife, you can also charter boats, yachts or sailing boats from many providers. In this way you can spend unique hours on the Atlantic Ocean with friends or family – without any other annoying tourists. How you do it, whether on a sailboat, yacht or speedboat, you will spend a wonderful day on the sea!
Tenerife: perfect island for families with children
2. Activities with children
Tenerife is perfect for a family holiday with children! There are so many places to discover on the island where young and old will never be bored. The pleasant temperatures all year round are a plus for holidays in Tenerife with children. Your children can let off steam in the many water parks, swimming and outdoor pools or build sandcastles and splash around on the beaches of Tenerife.
Besides sports activities, excursions to zoos and animal parks such as Loro Parque, Monkey Park or Jungle Park are also popular. In a playful way, your children will get to know the flora and fauna of the country in a family holiday on Tenerife. Speaking of learning: With inquisitive children, you should also visit the museums in Tenerife, which are child-friendly in their approach to conveying knowledge about the history of Tenerife, but also about science and technology. Tenerife with children – no problem!
If you are planning excursions for your Tenerife holiday, the following tips for water rats, explorers or animal lovers could be just the thing for your family!
On the way with water rats
Of course a family holiday also includes minimum a day at the beach! For parents this can often be a stressful trip, but in Tenerife there are many child-friendly beaches where your children can splash around and build sandcastles without worrying. The most famous beaches of Tenerife are around the towns of Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje, Puerto de la Cruz and Fanabé. You will also find child-friendly beaches near the port, as the sandy beach slopes gently into the sea and is often protected by a breakwater, so there is no strong swell. For water lovers, the following excursions are also recommended:

Checklist for family holiday in Tenerife
If you are going to stay in a hotel, you should make sure that there are family and child-friendly facilities such as a children’s pool, kids club and childcare
Many families are looking for holiday homes and flats as well as fincas where you have to take care of your own food, but where you have more space and peace and quiet than in large hotels
With a rental car you are more mobile than with public transport. This not only makes it easier to explore the island, but also makes a family holiday in Tenerife much more relaxing!
One of the most varied areas for hiking in Tenerife: Mount Teide
3. Hiking
Tenerife is a real paradise for hikers! Ideal hiking areas are the national park around the Pico del Teide in the centre of the island, the Anaga mountains in the north-east and the Teno mountains in the north-west of the island.
The island is the perfect destination for travellers wishing to explore the fascinating landscape of spectacular scenery, bizarre rock formations, mysterious laurel forests and lonely mountain villages while hiking in Tenerife. Because the volcanic origin and the different vegetation zones of the largest Canary Island provide a richness of facets that is hard to imagine.
Ten popular hiking routes:
La Forteleza – through the landscape of the former volcano Cañadas
Alto de Guajara – a high mountain hike to the Alto de Guajara peak, with panoramic views of the Teide, Pico Viejo and Montaña Blanca volcanoes
Pico del Teide – most difficult, but at the same time most rewarding climb to the summit of the Teide, which requires a special permit
Malpaís de Güímar – circular walk through the Malpaís de Güímar Nature Reserve with impressive contrasts of volcanic soil and blue sea
Punta del Hidalgo – one of the most varied walks, which begins in the green forests of the Anaga Mountains in Cruz del Carmen and leads through the last remaining Canary Island laurel forests to the rugged coast of Punta del Hidalgo
Paisaje Lunar – “moonwalk” through the unique rock formations near Vilalflor, which in Spanish are called “Paisaje Lunar”
Barranco del Infierno – an exciting hike through the “Barranco del Inferno” gorge, where only 300 hikers are allowed per day for environmental reasons
Masca – one of the most demanding and spectacular hikes through the Masca Gorge of the Teno Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean
El Draguillo – a coastal walk from Benijo to El Draguillo, which along the trail rewards you with exciting views of the steep cliffs and roaring surf
Before you decide to go hiking in Tenerife, you should find out about the different hiking routes. Some of the hiking trails vary greatly in terms of difficulty, duration and area. In addition, some areas require a permit, such as the ascent to the crater of the Pico del Teide or a hike through the “Barranco del Inferno”.
It is essential that you find out up to three months before your holiday in Tenerife whether and when you are allowed to climb the heights of the island. Whether a steep ascent or a leisurely walk: When hiking in Tenerife, the beauty of the archipelago presents itself in a unique way on every route!
From relaxed to challenging: there are many exciting routes for cyclists to discover in Tenerife
4. Cycling
Even for those who want to explore the island on two wheels, Tenerife is a paradise! As with the hiking trails, a bike tour around the island allows you to explore the most beautiful corners of the unique volcanic landscape at your own pace. The average annual temperature of 23 degrees, few rainy days and 300 hours of sunshine per year offer the best conditions for a cycle tour.
The well-developed route network, which is often not very busy, is a wonderful place to cycle! But even here the possibilities range from more leisurely tours along the coast with views of the sea to more demanding routes through the Anaga and Teno mountains. Many cycling enthusiasts even spend a holiday in Tenerife for just one of the routes!
For beginners: pleasant cycling tours
Tenerife offers many beautiful cycle paths for cyclists who want to take a leisurely ride across the island. In general, the more leisurely, less demanding routes run along the coast and cliffs, as they are at sea level. There are only a few climbs, but instead there are breathtaking views across the island.
Santa Cruz Circuit: One of the most popular routes, which starts at a low altitude and goes down to the highest point, the Pico del Inglés viewpoint, and back down again. Route 3 goes through Santa Cruz and laurel forests, always parallel to the coast with beautiful views of the sea and the Teide volcano
From Buenavista to Punta del Hidalgo: The 75 kilometre route 4 takes you from one corner of Tenerife to the other. Along the north coast, the route runs on almost flat terrain with relatively few metres in altitude from Buenavista to Punta del Hidalgo. On this tour you will be able to enjoy the changing beauty of the coastal landscape without any major effort!
For advanced cyclists: challenging routes
Ambitious cyclists who train on their mountain bike or racing bike will find some of the best and most demanding cycle paths in Tenerife. The network of routes, which is over 200 kilometres long, passes through the higher parts of the island and rocky mountain landscapes in many places.
Largest route trough Corona Forestal: The 84-kilometre route runs through Corona Forestal, the largest nature reserve in the Canary Islands. If you are looking for a special challenge, you should take route BC-1: The largest route on the island can be extended by a further 53 kilometres and 13 branches and variants
Challenge Orotava Valley: Route 2, which starts and ends in La Orotava, runs along the northern side of the island. For 98 kilometres you will pass through the towns of La Esperanza, La Laguna, El Sauzal, La Matanze and Santa Ursula. This is one of the most demanding routes, as it also passes through the El Teide National Park and has a total ascent of 2,727 metres
Highest altitude in Costa Adeje: Three of Tenerife’s cycle routes start in Costa Adeje, all of which are relatively demanding. Along the southwest side of the island there is an average gradient of 5% and a 6% downhill gradient. Route 5 passes through villages in the higher altitudes. When you arrive in Vilaflor, you will find yourself at 1,380 metres above sea level in one of the highest villages in Spain.
About 200 kilometres of tracks run across the island, with a total of eight routes that can be followed and completed in several different ways. Every rider – whether on a bicycle, mountain bike or racing bike – can put together his or her own tour according to the level of difficulty.
In any case, the varied landscape of cycling in Tenerife always offers new highlights!
A sunbonoo tip: (occasionally) stick to the signposted viewpoints on your route. This is the only way to ensure that you don’t miss the best views of the breathtaking, varied landscape of Tenerife!
There are lots of opportunities for relaxed shopping trips on the island
5. Shopping in Tenerife
Should you be planning a shopping trip during your holiday in Tenerife, there are many ways to spend your holiday money on the island. Of course, you can stroll through the city centre and its pedestrian precincts in every major city and look in the shops for the latest Spanish fashion and unusual souvenirs.
But Tenerife also has some bigger shopping centres that are popular among locals and tourists. We have sorted the best places for shopping in Tenerife by city for you:
Santa Cruz
The island capital has the most, largest and most varied offers for extended shopping tours. Most of the shops are located in the streets Villalba Hervás, El Castillo, Doctor Allart, Bethencourt Alfonso o San José, as well as near Plaza España and Plaza Candelaria. Furthermore, the two large shopping centres, the “Centro Comercial Meridiano” and “El Corte Inglés” attract locals and tourists alike. In the shopping centre “Tres de Mayo”, Tenerife holidaymakers will find mainly smaller boutiques and high quality fashion. Especially in rainy weather – as rare as it is in Tenerife – it is an ideal destination for an excursion.
However, if the weather is better, you should stroll through Calle Castillo, because here you can certainly find the more unusual clothes and souvenirs in the smaller shops.
A special attraction is the Mercado de Nuestra Señora de Africa, one of the biggest markets on Tenerife. Here you will find everything to please your eyes, nose and palate!
For special souvenirs you should visit smaller farmers’ and flea markets in Santa Cruzes.
Puerto de la Cruz
Take a walk through San Telmo or the historic quarter of La Ranilla and you will discover small shops selling Spanish and Canarian fashion. The boutiques in the centre of Puerto de la Cruz are perfect for original, handmade gifts that will remind you of your holiday in Tenerife.
Most of the shops are located in Plaza del Charco, Calle de San Felipe, La Hoya and Avda Generalísimo.
Basically the offer is comparable to the one in Santa Cruz, but in Puerto de la Cruz you have to pay a tourist surcharge.
Costa Adeje
In the south of Tenerife in Costa Adeje, the Siam Mall and Duque Square shopping centre are popular. While in the large shopping centre you can shop for over 400 different brands in 62 shops, Siam Mall always offers events with raffles, concerts and parades that are exciting for adults and children alike.
La Orotava
A walk through the old town of La Orotava is like a journey back in time, as the beautifully crafted balconies and arcades reflect the history of Canarian woodcarving. Since traditional Canarian handicrafts are still very important, you can get original pottery especially in La Orotava.
5 sunbonoo shopping tips for your holiday in Tenerife:
North vs. South: Shopping is slightly more expensive in the south than in the north. If you are travelling with a rental car on Tenerife, it is worth going to one of the big shopping centres – Carrefour and Alcampo – to shop for less
Fresh fruits and vegetables: Of course you can get fruit and vegetables in the supermarkets (“mercados”), but for fresh, regional and seasonal products you should visit the weekly markets on Tenerife. Here you will also find local spices, specialities and traditional handicrafts
Spirits and Tabac: Canarian cigars and cigarillos as well as wines and liqueurs are a popular souvenir from your holiday in Tenerife. The only thing you need to know is what and how much you are allowed to take home with you on your flight: 1 litre of spirits of more than 22% alcohol content, although 2 litres are allowed if the spirits, aperitifs or taffia you bring home have 22% alcohol or less
Daily Food: If you stay for a longer period of time in Tenerife and are self-catering in your holiday flat or finca, you may feel like products. It is best to go to the stronghold La Paz or to Puerto de La Cruz.
Discounts: If you are hunting “Rebajas”, you should wait for the end of the summer or winter sales. In many shops and shopping centres, prices can fall to as much as 60% by the end of the day!

2. Unique Horseback Riding Tours
Get closer to nature!
The horse-riding tour is one of the best outdoor things you can do in Tenerife, with diverse locations and views that make those tours unique. You can choose between different routes and ride through different landscapes such as banana and avocado plantations or through more volcanic paths with lava trails and Teide views.
You can book those tours online through various providers. They offer guided tours for different group sizes, experience levels, and age groups. They will help you to create the best routes adapted to your preferences and even guide you through Canarian customs and culture.
Horseback riding tours are possible all year round at every season and almost every day. Prices vary between 34 and 95 euros, depending on the duration and the group size of the tour.
Other than horse-riding tours, you can also take regular horse riding or horse jumping lessons. The horse-riding gear can also be provided for the full experience. Moreover, if you prefer a more intense and active holiday, take part in one of the long-term riding excursions or even get the full experience by staying on a horse ranch.
Nevertheless, riding lessons are offered for everybody: kids or adults and beginners or experienced horse riders.
So, choose your route and destination and explore the undiscovered Tenerife on the back of a horse!

3. Bird’s-eye view of Tenerife by Helicopter
Watch over the island from the sky!
The next tour on our list is a trip with a helicopter around Tenerife!
“Helidream Sky Experiences”, a well-known company, offers beautiful trips around the area. During the tour, it’s possible to see hidden places of the island that you can’t experience otherwise. The company offers 7 picturesque tours. Tour prices vary between 98 and 1900 euros, they provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience where, for example, you can see Mount Teide from an entirely different perspective.
This tour also enables you to see the Teno mountains, lava flows, the Masca canyon, and beautiful beaches. You will have a lot of “wow”-moments, especially at the first glimpse of the view of the Teide National park or Barrancos and the gigantic cliffs of Los Gigantes.
Depending on the tour, prices range from €98-€495; moreover, each tour has different lengths from 20 to 120 km. The “Gran Teide luxury” tour, for instance, is about 120 km long.
Have a nice flight!

4. Paragliding in Tenerife – Feeling free like a bird
Fly like a canary bird!
You really have to try paragliding. This sport provides you with a bird’s-eye view of the beautiful landscape and allows you limitless freedom, thus an unforgettable experience. Up to over 2000 m in height, you have a breathtaking view of the National Park, the Teide, different cities, and the beaches.
Schools, clubs, and private paragliders are widespread over the whole island and offer different courses and flights, with English or even German-speaking guides. The most beautiful and challenging place for paragliding in Tenerife is the north, especially around Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz, La Orotava, Tacoronte, and Los Realejos. But also in the south, there are some proper flight areas like Adeje and Jama.
For example: “Tenerife Top Paragliding” provide further crucial information about paragliding and have many types of trips.
Due to the never-ending spring in Tenerife, paragliding is possible nearly all year round, depending on the weather. Moreover, Tenerife’s unique alpine landscape, including the mountain Teide, provides many starting points for flying over the island, with flights lasting about half an hour.
Paragliding is suitable for every age, from kid to retiree and depending on the company, you can find deals for about €90-€120.
Don’t miss out on living the dream of flying in the sky!

5. Parasailing near a beautiful landscape
Don’t confuse this activity with “paragliding”. During Parasailing the parasailer is attached to a boat or a car, and it glides through the air.
In general, there is no age limit for parasailing, but participants need to be at least two years old and certainly not afraid of heights. It is also suitable for physically disabled individuals.
It is highly recommended because of the marvelous view you have of the island from above.
During parasailing, you ascend to 100 meters, and you will be able to enjoy all the beautiful landscapes Tenerife has to offer from the sky. Peacefulness in the air – alone or as a tandem – it’s up to you.
The minimum weight for flying alone is 125 pounds (56 kg) and the maximum 450 pounds (204 kg) in tandem or triple flights.
If the boat has mechanical issues, the participants are gently lowered into the water, and with the life jackets provided before taking off, you will be safe – guaranteed.
So where are the places to join this activity?
Most activities take place along the south-west coast of Tenerife, with departures from:
Puerto Colón
Los Gigantes (Costa Adeje)
El Medano

The Best Non-beach Activities in Tenerife
Anytime
Guests
Ask the majority of people why they go to Tenerife on vacation and they will most likely mention the sun, sea, sand and nightlife. But did you know there are so many other things to do on this fantastic island? From a soaring volcano, to a water park and pyramids, why not make your trip to Tenerife a little different this year? And check out our comprehensive list of 30 things to do in Tenerife as well.
Loro Parque
One of the biggest attractions in the Canary Island, Loro Parque is a fun-filled zoo located near Puerto de la Cruz. This is the perfect day out for anybody traveling with a family. Originally Loro Parque was famous for the beautiful parrots which inhabit the space. However, people now also visit there to see a variety of animals including sharks, tigers and giant tortoises. The animals are separated into different areas of the zoo, such as the Katandra Treetops, the Thai Village and a magical kingdom. Visitors can continue to be entertained by taking a seat at one of the sea lion, dolphin, parrot, nature vision and ocra showers. The dolphin show takes place in the largest dolphin pool in Europe.

Siam Park
Siam Park considers itself to be the most spectacular water park in Europe with attractions – why not check it out for yourself and see does it live up to its claim? Set in a tropical paradise, its self-acclaimed wonderful attractions are suitable for family, visitors seeking relaxation and adrenaline junkies. Non-swimmers need not be worried though as you don’t need to be able to swim to have fun at Siam Park. The park also boasts a number of world records: the biggest artificial waves in the world (3 metres high), the statue of the world’s largest dragon, increased elevation within the lazy river, increased diversity in slides and the world’s largest Thai building outside Asia. A selection of bars and restaurants are also available.

Teide National Park
Teide National Park is the largest and oldest of four national parks in Canary Islands. It is centred around Mount Teide, the world’s third largest volcano. It is worth a visit here simply for the spectacular views from the various vantage points. Other than that, this UNESCO Heritage Site boasts a unique landscape of rivers of petrified lava and impressed by the eroded rocks and colossal dimensions of minerals. The highest peak of the volcano can be easily reached by cable car, but permission is needed from the park office before climbing to the mouth. Those looking to see more than Mount Teide can travel along the various trails throughout the park. A bar and restaurant are also present.

Pyramids of Güímar
If Teide National Park sounds like your idea of fun, then you should also visit the Pyramids of Güímar. Believed to date from the 19th century AD, the six rectangular pyramid-shaped, terraced structures are built from lava stone without the use of mortar. There is a park around the pyramids accessible to the public, and it is also home to the Museum of Casa Chacona. In the museum, visitors can view a life-size replica of Dr. Heyerdahls’ boat, indigenous masks and ceramic figures, while the park boasts the Botanical Route, Exportation Products Route and Cultural Route. An auditorium/cinema, cafeteria and an ecological souvenir shop can also be enjoyed. Those lucky enough to be in Tenerife on the 21st of June can observe (weather permitting) the ‘Double Sunset’ phenomenon.

Auditorio de Tenerife
Auditorio de Tenerife is considered the island’s answer to Sydney Opera House. Located in the heart of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and next to two Torres de Santa Cruz, the tallest buildings in the Canary Islands, this late-modern building of the late 20th century is famous for its great “arc”. This is the only large arch supported by only two points of support, while the tip appears suspended gravity defying. As well as enjoying musicals, local productions, and flamenco, pop, rock and classical music, visitors can also take a tour of the impressive building.

Cueva del Viento-Sobrado
To explore even more of Tenerife’s natural phenomenons, make sure to stop by Cueva del Viento-Sobrado. An underground complex, it is the largest lava tube in the European Union and the fifth largest in the world. Located next to Mount Teide, it was created by lava flows from Pico Viejo. Visitors can join a tour group headed by a guide very knowledgeable of the area. The tour passes by beautiful local flora and fauna, while the underground part is lit only with natural light, providing a real explorer vibe. Please note, however, that the tour is not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre
If you are considering visiting at least one museum in Tenerife, make it Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre. Founded in 1745 and remodeled during the late 19th century, it is considered the best repository of objects from the Prehispanic Canary Islands. Declared of Cultural Interest within the Monument category in 1983, its main facade is considered one of the most qualified examples of neoclassical architecture in the Canary Islands. Inside the museum are important archaeological finds, including a time scale outlining the most significant events in the history of the planet and the birth of the Canary Islands.

Life in Tenerife: the story of Eugenia Sheber and her family.
Spain in Russian
Evgenia Sheber came to Tenerife with her family four years ago. The idea was a rather simple desire to find a good place to “overwinter”, because in Estonia children were constantly sick, viruses in the family went around in circles. And then, in 2012, the decision was made – we were leaving. The move turned out to be full of adventures, one of which was, in fact, the choice of a place – the island of eternal spring Tenerife …
We moved to the Canary Islands in a large group: two little sons, my husband and I and a huge first aid kit, because at that time, because of the children, I could not imagine life without medicines. It can be said that I even got a medical profession – I knew all the medicines and their use. But in Tenerife, everything changed, I forgot what medicines are, and the children did not get sick at all for the first year.
But the choice fell on a paradise island by chance. Initially, we planned to go to Hawaii – my friends live there, and before that we were still in Miami, in a word, we were looking for warmer places on this planet. But then one of my photographer friends recommended a trip to Tenerife, and that’s how we ended up here. It was very funny to look for an apartment, because if you look at the map, the island seems very small, and there seems to be no such fundamental difference between north and south.
We did not attach importance to the city in which to look for housing, which surprised the realtors very much, they asked in puzzlement: “You probably need an apartment in the south, closer to the heat?”.
So we stayed for three months, then six, then returned to Estonia to sell and rent out our property, and then moved to Tenerife.
Take root
Of course, this will finally happen when we buy our property here. So far, this issue has been in a “suspended” state, since we could not decide on further plans – whether we remain in the Canary Islands, or we leave for the mainland. But now the time has come when we understand that we need our own apartment here. In any case, we will find a use for it, after all, the apartment can be rented out.
Vacancy does not mean employment
My husband found a stable job as a programmer in a Spanish company. The difficulty was in the constant “mañana” (Spanish for “tomorrow”) – the interviews lasted about three months: at first he simply sent a resume, but they didn’t answer him, then he came to the office himself, and they even recognized him from the photo from the questionnaire . The conclusion is this: water does not flow under a lying stone anywhere, and even more so here: you need to actively move and achieve your own. Finding a job in the specialty on the island is quite difficult, this is due to the conjuncture – the demand exists mainly in the areas of restaurant business and tourism.
Canaries – strength test
Tenerife, like any other place you move to, is a real test in many ways. Relationships are being tested at a distance with those people who stayed at home – you see how they continue to treat you when you leave the country. But this also applies to the relationship with the person with whom you came. For example, when my husband and I ended up here, we didn’t know anyone or anything, so for a long time we “boiled in the same soup”, having no friends, no opportunity to “change scenery” or get simple support. Here you understand who is next to you and what is the price of this relationship.
Adventure, or how photography became a favorite thing
In Tallinn, I graduated from the Art Academy, so for me the activity related to creativity is very close. For a long time in Estonia, I worked in a 3D object modeling studio, and then got a job in a photo studio, where I retouched photos, since I already knew Photoshop perfectly.
When I moved here, I realized that time is running out, and money tends to run out. And by a lucky chance, I met a girl from Argentina, who, as it turned out, had her own photo studio. She was about to leave and needed help editing some of the pictures. It so happened that, to some extent, we helped each other “by barter”: I taught her Photoshop, and she taught me photography.
Then I got my own photo studio, and with it a lot of problems: rent, taxes, advertising, related costs and much more. It was a difficult period, in a month everything came out to zero … But, looking back, now I see that it was a vital “kick” that made me try even harder, cling to everything and develop professionally as a photographer. For me, the most important thing is satisfaction with my work, when the client leaves satisfied and with the product he came to me for.
Briefly about the beauty of the island: it is limitless
I love Puertito, it’s an authentic fishing village. If you go on the rocks, it’s insanely beautiful. I always take my beloved clients there – great photos are obtained there! But, in my opinion, there are no ugly places in Tenerife – and I am surprised by this every day. Of course, the El Teide volcano and its surroundings, the Masca gorge, the observation platforms of Los Gigantes and Taganana can be noted. There are many more amazing places that I will explore as a photographer and then “share” them with my clients.

Registration of a company in the free zone of the Canary Islands
06/08/2021
FEZ of the Canary Islands
The Canary Islands attract entrepreneurs who want to register a company in a low-tax territory. If you are interested in setting up a company in Spain, you may want to consider setting up a company in the Canary Islands Free Zone (FEZ).
The peculiarity of the FEZ of the Canary Islands is the special tax regulation that operates here. The purpose of creating the zone was set by the financial policy (REF) to improve the employment rating, as well as the infrastructure of the island as a whole.
The European Commission approved the functioning of the ZEC in early 2000.
Currently, the FEZ Canaries is regulated by a special law Fiscal Regime Modification Act (Law 19/1994).
To set up a company in the Free Zone of the Canary Islands, you must meet several requirements of the regulator in Tenerife:
A newly established company/branch in the Canary Free Zone must have a registered address in that zone.
Requires the administrator to reside in the Canary Islands.
Capital requirement of at least €100,000 for Gran Canaria and Tenerife and €50,000 for La Gomera, EI Hierro, La Palma, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. You can deposit within 2 years from the date of registration.
In the first 6 months. from the moment the company is established, it is required to create at least 3-5 jobs, depending on the selected island. On the islands of Gran Canaria and Tenerife – 5, and on the others – 3.
In the FEZ of the Canary Islands, it is possible to engage in only certain types of activities, which you can find below:
Food industry.
Pharmacology (plant growing).
Fishing.
Textile activities.
Furniture industry.
Chemical industry.
Manufacture of machinery, metal structures, various types of water and machine transport.
Repair activities.
Work on the purification of nature.
Activities related to energy production.
Audio and video activities.
Trading activity.
Tourist, transport, advertising services.
Legal, accounting, consulting services.
Architecture and engineering.
Therapeutic activity.
Services related to performing arts, cultural parks and entertainment, sports.
Innovative, professional, technical activities.
It should be noted that it is possible to register a company in the Free Zone of the Canary Islands for a non-resident.
What is the taxation regime in the FEZ of the Canary Islands for investors wishing to register a company in the Canary Islands?
Corporate tax at a rate of 4% is applied to a maximum of 30% of income if the rules regarding the number of employees are met.
The supply of goods and services carried out in the territory of the SEZ is not subject to IGIC (VAT type).
The standard IGIC rate is 7%.
It is worth noting that the Canary Islands FEZ tax exemption can be applied with other REF benefits.
It is possible for a non-resident to receive an exemption from paying income tax:
Dividends paid by FEZ subsidiaries to parent companies located in another country, as well as income received from the transfer of capital to property without a permanent establishment to third parties, are exempt from tax.
These exemptions do not apply when income is generated in a FATF-listed country.
Those wishing to register a company in the Free Zone of the Canary Islands should note that in order to start the process, it will be necessary to obtain the appropriate approval from the FEZ consortium in order to become a member of the FEZ.
Further registration procedure is as follows:
Authorization
Submission of a package of documents with a description of the activity.
Documents are considered approximately 2 months.
After receiving the approval of the consortium, an application is made to the Registry of FEZs in the Canary Islands.
To complete the procedure, you will need: an application for registration, Tax number (CIF), a document confirming the registration of the company.

Metal braces
Metal braces consist of several elements (locks, rings, etc. ) that are attached to the teeth, thus uniting them into a single system and helping to achieve the desired result.
The metal apparatus is considered the most inexpensive. However, you should not treat him down, because, despite the relative cheapness, he is not inferior in quality to other models, however, is more noticeable.
This oldest and least aesthetic version of braces is still very actively used and is not going to give up its positions.
The advantage of metal bracket systems relative to other types of brackets is the minimum friction force between the groove and the arc.
After mentioning the issues of friction, it is necessary to recall the existence, in addition to traditional, of other types of metal bracket systems. Firstly, these are self-ligating or non-ligating types of braces. Their design is a little more complicated than traditional ones, but the use of ligature-free braces eliminates the need for periodic replacement of ligatures, i. e. visits to the orthodontist will be a little less frequent, which is especially important for busy or distant patients.
Another type of metal systems are “gold” braces . In terms of their properties, they do not differ from traditional ones, outwardly they look more unconventional and elitist, which allows emphasizing the individuality and status of the owner. Some companies, in addition to “gold” braces, also produce “gold” buccal tubes and orthodontic archwires, allowing you to make the bracket system completely gold. Thus, to solve the problem of allergy sufferers, since gold is a biologically neutral material.
Ceramic brackets
Ceramic braces are the most expensive and one of the most inconspicuous types of braces. All ceramic braces can be divided into polycrystalline and monocrystalline. Polycrystalline braces are matte and only partially transparent.
Ceramic braces are widely used nowadays. They are preferred by most of the patients, as they are more aesthetic than, for example, metal ones. They are matched to the color of your teeth so they blend in with the color of your teeth, especially if you don’t have perfectly white teeth. Ceramic braces adhere very well to the teeth and are very durable and do not irritate the gums. But, despite all these advantages, there are some disadvantages. Unlike the same metal braces, treatment with ceramic braces is a longer process, they are more expensive and larger in size.
This type of braces is resistant to food dyes, but the ligatures are still stained. Keep in mind that the problem of staining ligatures is not so serious, because. ligatures are changed during each visit to the orthodontist.
Some people believe that this type of braces is more comfortable than metal and less irritating to the gums than metal, but this is more of a psychological effect.
The disadvantages of ceramic braces include the cost and higher friction between the bracket groove and the archwire, which can slightly increase the treatment time, as well as the more unpleasant removal of this type of braces from the tooth enamel.
Sapphire brackets
They are made from single crystal sapphire. They are transparent and very durable. The advantage of these braces is that plaque does not accumulate on them, and they are not subject to staining.
If you have very light teeth, then by giving preference to sapphire braces, you will make the right choice, as they are transparent, if your teeth are darker, it is better to choose ceramic braces.
Sapphire braces are vestibular (ie, outward facing) braces made from artificially grown sapphire crystals. They are becoming more and more popular among other braces, mainly due to the fact that, like lingual braces, they are invisible to others. At the same time, caring for them is less laborious than for lingual ones, and their cost is lower, besides, they do not cause the sensation of a “foreign body” in the mouth and, accordingly, diction disorders.
Ceramic and sapphire brackets have a lot of friction between the bracket groove and the arc along which the bracket must move, dragging the tooth along with it, and therefore the bite normalization process will be a little slower than with metal brackets, however, some manufacturers cover the bracket groove with metal, achieving greater effectiveness of treatment, but at the same time braces become more visible.
Lingual braces
Lingual braces are installed on the inside of the teeth, from the side of the tongue, so their main advantage is that they are generally invisible when smiling. They also have a wide range of materials for manufacturing: metal, ceramics, gold.
The disadvantages of this type of braces include:
Violation of diction in the patient during the first 2 weeks after the installation of braces.
Long term treatment.
More complex oral care.
When choosing a future bracket system before starting treatment, they are most often guided by financial issues. Fortunately, various combinations of the systems described above are possible, which can greatly change the overall cost of treatment.
So, for example, it is possible to install ceramic or plastic braces only on the front teeth or only on the upper jaw, where they are most visible, and put metal braces on all other brackets.
It is also possible to put lingual technique only on the upper jaw, and conventional ceramic braces on the lower jaw. This will also reduce the overall cost of treatment, and it will be easier to get used to lingual braces on one jaw.
Retention period
After the active phase, when you got a long-awaited smile, the treatment is not over yet. The bracket system is removed, and the teeth are fixed in the “ideal” position with the help of special devices – retainers. These devices fix and fix the position of the teeth. They are removable (plates, mouthguards, etc.) and non-removable (wires, springs, etc.), which are fixed on the inner surface of the teeth. The stage of wearing retainers is no less important than the main period of treatment. The teeth, after being moved, remain mobile for some time, and can return to their original places if the wearing of retainers is neglected. It is usually considered that the duration of the retention period should be equal to one or two periods of movement of the teeth by the bracket system.
Answers to frequently asked questions about braces
Hello everyone! My name is Sakadynets Alexander , I have been practicing for 12 years and the number of my patients has exceeded 1000. Very often I hear repeated questions from my patients, and I understand how little quality information is available on the Internet and other sources.
Sometimes the questions are logical, sometimes they are formed from incorrect information taken from various sources. Alas, myths and prejudices about braces still exist in society: supposedly braces contribute to the development of oral diseases, treatment with braces is painful, braces are created only for people under 18 years old, etc.
So, it’s time to put all these questions together and try to give explanatory answers to them. I note right away that not a single article can replace a live consultation with a doctor, it is purely general informational in nature.
1. I want braces for one jaw!
Pretty tempting option for many. But it should be understood that the answer lies already in the name “bracket-SYSTEM”, which means the SYSTEMIC work of the orthodontic appliance. And initially, such a decision may be fundamentally wrong, and the amount saved will no longer be such, because all treatment, and most importantly, time, will go down the drain.
Why?
It’s all about the interconnection of the upper and lower jaws: when one dentition moves, the other moves as well. And the conclusion from this is the following: braces are not installed in order to “straighten” some teeth. The bracket system helps to change the position of the dentition in order to improve the bite! Simply put, proper bite is when one jaw overlaps the other like gears in a watch.
What happens when you wear braces on one jaw? While the system has moved the tooth in the right direction, the other dentition tries to return it back. However, in some cases, the option of installing braces on one jaw is acceptable. For example, if the bite is already correct, but jaw symmetry is observed. Or when the connection of another jaw is necessary based on the clinical case of the patient.

2. Will braces ruin my teeth?
I will say right away that braces do not damage teeth. But only subject to the rules of hygiene and doctor’s recommendations. But here it is better to dispel several myths at once:
№1 Teeth under braces will definitely deteriorate
Nothing happens under the braces, but the whole problem usually occurs around the braces – if the patient does not brush his teeth after each meal, then caries forms as a result.
Or if the patient has a strong tendency to form plaque (in this case, hygiene must be more thorough). But if the patient failed to agree on hygiene during the treatment, then I usually suggest, and sometimes insist, that the orthodontic treatment be completed.
No. 2: The enamel can be removed together with the bracket
When removing the bracket, the doctor leaves a part of the glue on the tooth, which is then easily removed with a drill, then the teeth are polished. In this case, the enamel remains intact and unharmed.
No. 3: Teeth can fall out after braces
Generally, patients understand that this is impossible after proper treatment. Mobility of teeth during treatment on braces – it happens, and this is normal (because the teeth move, and this is quite logical). Retention will help to maintain the position of the teeth after treatment, consisting of both removable and non-removable devices (retainers, mouthguards, plates), which will help keep the teeth in their correct position.
3. Who is a good orthodontist?
Personally, I am always in favor of the patient receiving at least two third-party opinions. Orthodontic treatment must be taken very seriously, because you bind yourself with a relationship with a doctor for 1-2 years (or even more). Without mutual understanding, orthodontic treatment is doomed! There are several most important criteria when choosing a doctor:
Quality collection of information / diagnostic data
The doctor must make impressions, then perform calculations on the models, examine the OPTG or CBCT (3-D image), take intraoral photographs. ONLY after that you can start treatment on the bracket system. Taking photographs is also a very important diagnostic step.
Reviews and reputation
I will not say obvious things here, but it is worth paying more attention to the actual work of the doctor, rather than reviews on his personal page. By the way, negative reviews are often not custom-made, but they can be found literally on every doctor (even the best of the best), so filter the information received. Well, no one canceled the recommendations of friends.
Diplomas/certificates
Having certificates is far from an empty phrase. This suggests that the doctor wants to develop in his industry and be aware of the latest in the field of medicine. Feel free to ask questions about where the doctor got his knowledge, practice, etc.
Employment
Sometimes we have to work fast, on the flow. But alas, the case is not always clear immediately. And in general, orthodontics is a science where you need to think a lot. After all, the alignment of the bite is a kind of arcade for the doctor. Just ask the doctor what plans he has for you and make sure that the doctor pays close attention to your case.

4. I’m already old / old for braces
In fact, today the limits in orthodontic treatment are completely erased. Of course, each age has its own subtleties of working for a doctor. However, the result is always the same. And one more fact – people sometimes lose their teeth not at all because of caries and other problems with teeth, but because of malocclusion. When the load is unevenly distributed, it eventually leads to bone loss and tooth wear.
I will not tire of repeating that we do straight teeth not only for the sake of solving aesthetic problems. Often this will save you from early tooth loss.
5. Will I have to go on a strict diet after getting braces?
Undoubtedly, there will be changes in nutrition, but they are absolutely not worth the fear associated with the myth that braces deprive you of gastronomic pleasures. You just need to be more careful and exclude only a part of the products (nuts, puffed rice, popcorn, caramel, nougat, seeds, chewing gum, etc.).
First of all, this is necessary in order not to clog the gaps between the bracket slots, where bacteria can accumulate and develop caries. You should also exclude drinks with dyes, hot and cold drinks (temperature differences can cause the bracket to peel off).
Think for yourself, because braces are even a kind of motivation to start a healthy lifestyle, because most of the harmful products are excluded.
Nutrition while wearing braces
6. Are braces painful to install?
No, some even fall asleep)
7.
Can’t you treat your teeth after braces?
Yes, you can treat your teeth with braces, because if necessary, you can remove them. And yet, it is better to just monitor the quality of hygiene.
Installation of braces in Minsk
8. Can I just have straight teeth? Why change your bite?
Again, it should be mentioned that malocclusion or unevenly standing just one tooth can provoke facial asymmetry, problems with facial joints and even with the spine, which was proven in my research work.
An uneven load during chewing involves neighboring muscles that change the position of the head, as a result of which the posture changes. Very often the orthodontist has to work together with the osteopath.
9. Can I wear braces during pregnancy?
Modern braces are absolutely harmless to the body and do not cause allergies. Therefore, wearing them in itself does not affect the course of pregnancy and the intrauterine development of the child. But this is subject to careful oral care!
Of course, hormonal imbalance affects the condition of the bone, but here it is necessary to conduct research with specialists and only after that decide whether treatment or continuation of treatment during pregnancy is possible. It is better to plan the installation of braces 1-2 months before the onset of pregnancy, so that all the necessary studies do not adversely affect the fetus (X-rays, CT scans, etc.).
According to experienced orthodontists, if a woman becomes pregnant, then nothing special needs to be done. It makes sense to wear braces until the end of breastfeeding, even if it is possible and will be quite a long time. However, this will allow the bone tissue to normalize, and the woman will not miss the result of the treatment already obtained before pregnancy. If you are pregnant or planning to, be sure to talk to your doctor. Only a specialist will be able to correctly assess your condition and prescribe the necessary course of action!
March, the first month of the spring in Canaries, is also a moderately hot month, with temperature in the range of an average high of 27.7°C (81.9°F) and an average low of 25°C (77°F).
Temperature
In March, the average high-temperature is essentially the same as in February – a still warm 27.7°C (81.9°F). In Canaries, in March, the average low-temperature is 25°C (77°F).
Heat index
The average heat index in March is estimated at a tropical 30°C (86°F). Constant exposure and activity lead to possible fatigue. Prolonged exercise may result in heat cramps. Note that heat index values are valued for light wind and location in the shade. With exposure to direct sunlight, the heat index may be increased by up to 15 Fahrenheit (8 Celsius) degrees. Note: The heat index, also known as ‘apparent temperature’, ‘real feel’, ‘feels like’, or ‘felt air temperature’, combines air temperature and relative humidity to represent a human perceived temperature equivalent. This effect is individual, with diverse people perceiving weather differently for numerous reasons (metabolic differences, wind, differences in body mass, height, and shape), and activity. Bear in mind that direct sunshine exposure increases weather impact, and may raise heat index by up to 15 Fahrenheit (8 Celsius) degrees. Heat index values are especially crucial for babies and toddlers. Children are often less aware of the need to rest and re-hydrate. Thirst is a late sign of dehydration – it is vital to remain hydrated, particularly during prolonged physical activities.
Humidity
January through March and September, with an average relative humidity of 73%, are the least humid months.
Rainfall
In Canaries, it is raining for 18.8 days, with typically 21mm (0.83″) of accumulated precipitation. Throughout the year, in Canaries, there are 255.2 rainfall days, and 560mm (22.05″) of precipitation is accumulated.

The average length of the day in March in Canaries is 12h and 4min. On the first day of March, sunrise is at 06:20 and sunset at 18:12. On the last day of the month, sunrise is at 06:00 and sunset at 18:16 AST.
Sunshine
The average sunshine in March in Canaries is 8.3h.
UV index
January through May, July through December, with an average maximum UV index of 7, are months with the highest UV index. A UV Index value of 6 to 7 symbolizes a high health risk from exposure to the Sun’s UV radiation for average individuals. Note: In March, the average maximum UV index of 7 translate into the following recommendations: Take precautions and adopt sun safety practices. Protection against sunburn is obliged. The Sun’s UV radiation is most powerful between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. To the extent possible, limit exposure to the direct sun during these hours. A wide-brim hat offers excellent sun protection for the eyes, ears, face, and neck. Sunglasses with UVA and UVB protection significantly reduce eye damage from sun exposure. Tightly woven, loose-fitting clothes provide additional protection from the Sun. Beware! The reflection of water and sand dramatically increases exposure to the UV rays.

He continued to kneel motionless, ignoring all requests, and did not even brush off the snow.
“Signor General, snow is falling on you,” the gunners helpfully remarked and wanted to shake the snow off his shoulders.
— Leave me, leave me alone!
– After all, the snow will completely cover you. He has already reached his knees.
– It doesn’t matter.
– Signor General, the snow is already up to your chest.
– I don’t feel cold. My heart is now colder than snow. nine0003
In an instant, the General was almost completely covered in snow. For some time his mustache was still visible, but now they disappeared. Instead of the General, there was a snow statue: a statue of a kneeling General, clutching the edges of the pit into which his cannons fell through with his hands. Poor General, what a death!
In my opinion, he did not deserve such a fate, although he wanted it. Nobody prevented him from getting up, brushing off the snow and hiding in the carriage. As a General, he had the right to ride in a first class carriage. However, he chose to turn into a snow statue. nine0003
But let’s leave the General with his cold fate. Farewell, Signor General! We won’t forget you.
But I’m good! Losing time at the General’s wake when Blue Arrow’s passengers are in serious trouble. This time it’s about the Cat. A real, not a toy Cat, the size of two whole carriages of the Blue Arrow.
While we were all looking at the General and our thoughts were occupied with his self-sacrifice, a terrible predator quietly crept up through the snow, examined everyone with her green eyes and chose prey. nine0003
Have you forgotten about the Canary in the cage, which jumped on its spring and sang “chik-chik” all the time? Well, I will only add that the cage with the Canary was suspended from the outside to the window of the Blue Arrow. In fact, the cage was supposed to hang in the car, but Canary was so tired of everyone with her incessant singing that the cage was hung outside.
The cat noticed the careless Canary and decided to eat it.
“I’ll break the cage with one stroke of my paw,” she thought.
And so it happened. nine0003
One more blow will silence the Canary, thought the Cat.
But it didn’t work out that way.
The canary felt sharp claws slithering over her wings and let out a frantic chik-chik. Then something cracked, clicked, and the straightened spring hit the aggressor painfully on the nose.
Half-blinded from pain and frightened by an unexpected blow, who could have expected such a vigorous defense from the Canary? – The cat got away. The cowboys tried to pursue her for some time, but their horses fell into the snow and could not run fast. nine0003
Yes, this time the Cat was hit on the nose instead of prey. But the poor Canary lay in the snow all mutilated. A steel spring protruded from under her wings. The open beak is silent forever.
Within minutes, the Blue Arrow lost two of its passengers.
The third one, the Seated Pilot, at that moment was flying somewhere in his plane. Or maybe a gust of wind had already hit him against the chimney? Or did he collapse to the ground under the weight of snow that stuck to the weak wings of his plane? Who knows! nine0003
A canary with military honors was buried under the snow. The archers shook the snow out of their pipes and played a funeral march. To tell the truth, the sound of the pipes was somehow cold: it seemed that the music was coming from afar, from a neighboring street. But it was still better than nothing.
However, the history of the Canary does not end there. Her friends at Blue Arrow do not know the continuation of this story, because after burying the Canary, they resumed their night march. But I lingered here for a while and saw the night watchman get off his bicycle, the wheel of which came across the Canary’s cage. nine0003
The night watchman picked her up, hung her on a bicycle, and right there, right in the middle of the street, tried to adjust the spring. What won’t two skillful hands do! A few minutes later, Canary’s “chik-chik” sounded, a little muffled, but that made it even more cheerful and nonchalant.
“My son will like it,” thought the night watchman. “I will tell him that the Fairy gave me the Canary. I will say that I met her at night on the street and she conveyed her greetings and wishes for a cheerful, happy life.
So thought the night watchman. Maybe he was thinking something else, but I don’t have time to tell you about it, because I must continue the story of the adventures of the Blue Arrow. And the night watchman drove on, and at the corners, instead of ringing the bicycle bell, he pushed the cage, and then the Canary’s cheerful “chik-chik” was heard. I think he came up with a good idea.
Chapter XI
SEATED PILOT FLIGHT
Are we all here? No, what’s missing is the Sitting Pilot, who went in his airplane to look for signs of Francesco. nine0003
It was a dangerous flight, because the weather was not at all suitable for flying.
Trying to stay in the middle of the street so as not to get tangled in electric wires or run into any building, Seated Pilot thought of the Fairy with envy:
constructions and every minute I run the risk of falling to the ground? .. I would like to know, – the valiant aviator continued to himself, – in which direction should I go now? Nothing is visible above or below, neither to the left nor to the right, and I do not believe that Francesco left any traces in the clouds. I think we need to go down.” nine0003
He descended, but immediately had to climb back up to avoid landing on the head of a night watchman who was speeding down the street on his bike. Perhaps it was the same watchman who found the Canary.
After some time, the Pilot thought that the night had become a little brighter.
– Maybe I flew to the square? he said to himself. I’ll try to get down again.
He went down again, but suddenly a huge gloomy shadow appeared in front of him, from the depths of which a loud voice sounded:
— Hey Signor Pilot, please land here!
The seated Pilot made an instant decision: “I’ll pretend I didn’t hear. I do not know anyone in these parts and would not like to run into some unpleasant meeting.
But just as he thought this, a gigantic hand carefully took the airplane and dragged it towards him.
– I’m lost! the Sitting Pilot exclaimed loudly.
– Why did you disappear? I have never been a bandit or a robber, – answered the owner of the hand.
