Dear Ms. Siri,
I was very impressed with your performance as Adriana Lecouvreur in Las Palmas and would appreciate to have an interview with you on your work and experience as a soprano. I may say that I first saw you as Tosca in the State Opera Berlin in 2014, a good performance, too. Since most of our readers are not familiar with Spanish, I would appreciate it if you could provide your answers in English.
Thanks for your kind collaboration.
- How did you become a singer? Family background. Teachers etc.
I became a singer by a “mistake“. I was supposed to have a sax lesson and ended up in a singing lesson. The teacher invited me to remain just to listen and then later, I heard for the very first time a soprano. It was a real musical awakening. After that moment, I decided to dedicate my life to the opera. My father is a self-taught musician, he used to play the guitar and taught me songs still in my memory. He is my very first motivation and example about the real love for music.
- As a singer with Latin American background, how do you feel singing in a Spanish environment vis-à-vis English or German speaking countries?
To sing in Spain is an incredible experience because we are very similar, especially in the Canary Islands from where a lot of emigration has happened to Uruguay since decades. We have food, words and a lot of things in common: also, the joy to applause an artist with sincere devotion.
Siri /Adriana Lecouvreur/Las Palmas. Copyright: Nacho González Oramas / ACO 2021)
- How was your experience with Adriana Lecouvreur in Gran Canaria, since the last Adriana was sung here was in 1979 by Montserrat Caballé? What a feeling was that?
It was an incredible experience, artistically and humanely talking. Not only because of the great people I found there as colleagues, musicians but the whole working team in the theater! We work very well and hard to do our best with a lot of love and passion. I can only say: I’m honored to sing there where a lot of stars like my admired Montserrat sang Adriana before.
- Can you describe the way how you see the role of Adriana in Cilea’s masterpiece?
It’s my life! A life completely dedicated to music. No one, no man, lover or love adventure can get over the art, the music, the beauty, the generosity of the stage, the sincere and authentic feelings, the truth, the compassion and so on.
The sensibility, fragility most of the times, in my point of view, is not a sign of weakness but only a soul with a powerful sense of love and generous emotions.
Adriana is a blessed character to work with, and it helps me improve my interpretation while trying to get deeper and deeper in her mysticism.
- I have read in another interview that Ileana Cortrubas inspired you significantly in your career as an opera singer. Can you tell us something about this artistic relationship?
My first journey to Europe was to participate in the international competition „Monserrat Caballé“ in Andorra. In the jury was Ileana Cotrubas, I sang Lucia at that time, “Regnava nel silenzio“. I didn’t pass the first round, but Cotrubas told me I had a completely different kind of voice and a wrong technique. But Ileana chose me to take an open masterclass with her during the competition. After that we kept in touch and I started to fly back and forth from Uruguay to study with her. She helped me to find my real voice and I will be thankful to her for my whole life.
- How do you see the role of Francesco Cilea vis-à-vis other Verismo composers, particularly Giacomo Puccini?
For me Adriana and specially Puccini are not verismo. Technically, I don’t change my way of singing, but I style by changing accents, concretely I do give each word a specific weight.
My only way to sing opera is in a bel canto technique and that is the infinite research of a beautiful sound with the correct accent on each word and phrasing.
- How do you study a principle role like Adriana or Tosca? What are the steps in developing the interpretation of the new roles you are singing?
I start with my hands on the piano. Since I learned to read music before words (I started to study piano at 5) my very first contact needs to be me alone with my first love, studying passages and organizing fingers, dynamics and so on. That takes lots of time but only when I finished with the piano, I’m ready to study the vocal parts, of course playing by myself.
That is the time to take the hands from the piano and concentrate on my voice as instrument. The next step is to try the breath and more or less fix it. At last, comes the work on the memory with a pianist.
- Soon you will sing Adriana in Firenze. What are your further plans and in which new roles are you thinking presently?
My next debut is “Cavalleria Rusticana” at Arena di Verona. I’m preparing “Macbeth” and “Fanciulla del West” in my free time.

Maria João and Banadú bring the Festival Canarias Jazz&Más Heineken to La Graciosa for the first time
- The free-entrance concert will take place this Friday 7 July in Caleta de Sebo, starting at 21:00 hours
- The night’s entertainment also includes a musical selection by DJ mr. Kangrejo
The Festival Canarias Jazz & Más Heineken kicks off this Friday 7 July with eleven nights of concerts featuring some of the best musicians of today. Perhaps the most special of these will be in La Graciosa, where for the very first time Portuguese vocalist Maria João and the group from Gran Canaria Banadú will take the stage. In addition, there will be sessions of music selected & played by DJ mr. Kangrejo prior to and between acts of the group’s performances. Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Palma are the other island venues for the initial concerts to be held simultaneously at this 26th edition. A total of some 46 concerts featuring 26 musical ensembles distributed on six islands, with a first-time experience for La Graciosa; figures that summarise the activity which will fill theatres, auditoriums, and public parks & squares with musical entertainment from 7 to 23 July.
Maria João Monteiro Grancha was born in Lisbon (Portugal) on 27 June 1956. Her mother was from Mozambique and she inherited her rebellious spirit and restlessness from an early age. She learnt to sing listening to the great jazz divas, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday & Elis Regina, and she loved the music of Betty Carter, Al Jarreau and other great vocalists of the genre.
Her first group was “Maria João & Friends”, but her debut disc wasn’t released till the year 1983, titled Maria João Quinteto. A lot of standard American jazz numbers feature in her repertoire, including the famous Blue Moon, made popular by Billie Holiday.
Working together with Japanese pianist Aki Takase, she managed to change many concepts in the field of free-jazz, and it marked a turning point in her style and repertoire. Her collaboration with renowned Portuguese musicians like José Peixoto, Carlos Bica, José Salgueiro & Mário Laginha led to the release of her disc titled SOL (1991), in which traditional Portuguese music is mixed with jazz, producing an original sound with an excellent end result.
The album Danzas, released in 1994 on the prestigious “Verve” label, marked the beginning of a new stage forming a new duet, which lasts to the current moment, with Mário Laginha.
Maria João has collaborated and toured with a number of artists of world renown, such as Gilberto Gil, Christofer Lauer, Bob Stenso and of course, Mário Laginha. In the year 2001 she began working with a group led by Joe Zawinul, ex-keyboard player of the mythical Weather Report, with whom she performed live for over a year, at various European jazz festivals; also participating in projects with Susana Bacca & Paulo Flores.
In 2009, Maria João started a new band, Ogre, with young musicians João Farinha (piano & keyboard), Júlio Resende (piano), Joel Silva (drums) & André Nascimento (electronics). Once more, the singer goes to a new place, exploring musical territories totally unchartered for her; and she continues going on tour with this group, changing its formation as and when required.
Banadú is a band of future soul, with sounds that oscillate between similar genres, like jazz, hip hop, soul & funk. The group was formed in 2015 on the basis of a personal notion by bassist Ruyman Franco, a former member of the band ‘The FEOS’. Here he assumes the role of composer, gathering together a group of well-known & experienced musicians, such as José Llobet (drums), Manolo López (keyboard), Rayco Gil (percussion) and vocalist Miriam Fleitas.
In June 2016 they recorded their debut disc, titled Deerjaguar, at the ‘Estudio Uno’ in Madrid, with the services of sound engineer Pablo Pulido. It was released by ‘Little Red Corvette Records’, a recording label in Barcelona that specialises in black music, featuring groups such as Izah, Miriam La Trece, Paula Grande, Big Menú & Michael Olivera.
The disc, an EP made up of five tracks, is a fair reflection of Banadú’s live performances, of which there have been many, all round the Canary Islands. Since their formation, they have participated at festivals such as FEX2015, Monopol Music Festival, networks like Sofar Sounds, as well as at the main music halls on the islands. The disc, released in November 2016, was presented at the venue ‘The Paper Club’ to a large public reception & favourable reviews. In January 2017, the single The Best Water reached number 1 on the ‘Click & Roll’ list, a radio programme “Los 40 Canarias” dedicated to music.
The Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz&Más Heineken will cover the islands of La Palma, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and for the first time La Graciosa, where it will plant its seed. An event made possible due to the collaboration by the municipalities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Adeje, Puerto de la Cruz, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Santa Brígida, Puerto del Rosario, Arrecife Teguise & Los Llanos de Aridane; and the sponsorship by the Canarian Government, the Cabildos (Island Councils) of Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote & Fuerteventura, the Town Halls of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Arrecife, Puerto del Rosario, San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Adeje, Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Lucia de Tirajana, Santa Brigida & Los Llanos de Aridane, Casa África, the Adán Martín Auditorium in Tenerife, the Auditorium & Theatre Foundation of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Leal, Guimerá & Guiniguada Theatres. Organised by Colorado Producciones, yet another edition is sponsored by the company Heineken.

Solubility of aerosol trace elements: Sources and deposition fluxes in the Canary Region
Atmospheric Environment, 2016

In this study, aerosol samples have been collected at two stations on the island of Gran Canaria regularly since 2006 (Taliarte, at sea level, and Pico de la Gorra, at 1930 m altitude). Samples have been analysed for total and soluble trace metals (Al, Mn, Fe, Co, Cu and Ti). The high temporal resolution of this dataset represents a valuable contribution to the understanding of aerosol deposition of trace metals to the region. Solubility measurements from acetate buffer leaching experiments showed the same tendency in the percentage of soluble metals in the samples: a higher percentage solubility of metals in anthropogenic aerosols and at low dust loading. Moreover, categorisation of aerosol samples with a continental African origin according to air-mass back-trajectories (North of Africa, Central and Western Sahara and Sahel) showed a decreasing tendency in the percentage of soluble Al and Fe to the south. In addition, factors that can affect the percentage solubility values for crustal elements and comparisons with different methods were studied. Freezing the samples stored affects the measurements of Al and Fe solubility. This last result is important for the design of future aerosol sampling programmes and aerosol solubility experiments. Flux estimates for aerosol-derived soluble metals reveal that phosphate is highly depleted relative to Fe and N when compared with Redfield values. It appears that aerosol deposition is an important source of N and trace metals (Fe, Co, Mn and Al) to the NE subtropical Atlantic Ocean. This work has been supported by the European Commission FEDER funds (PCT MAC 2007-2013, ESTRAMAR Mac/3/C177).

Dust deposition fluxes to northeastern subtropical Atlantic (Canary Islands)
African dust transport constitutes a large fraction of the annual atmospheric deposition in the C. .. more African dust transport constitutes a large fraction of the annual atmospheric deposition in the Canary Islands. The analyses of aerosol samples and deposition measurements have been carried out during CLIMAAT Project at Tafira (28º 06' N, 15º 24' W; 269 m a.s.l.) located in Gran Canaria. Total dust deposition flux was 18.6 g m -2 y -1 from May 2003 to April 2005. Highest dust depositions were observed during winter, especially during January and February. Winter events account up to 35% of the total annual flux. Seasonal distribution of concentrations of total suspended particles(TSP) indicates that dust outbreaks are more frequents in winter. Composition of trace metals(Al, Fe, Co) in the mineral aerosol and the possible impact of large dust pulses in the Canary basin are discussed.

Thus, in order to assess the concentrations of Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn in the Canarian Archipelago (Spain), we have utilized two species of limpets (Patella rustica and Patella candei crenata). We also tested the relationship between the metal levels and biometric parameters such as size and weight. The mean total concentrations of Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn in P. rustica were 0.37 ± 0.05, 1.77 ± 0.09, 1.27 ± 0.07 and 8.84 ± 0.71 µg g-1 dry wt. (mean ± S.E.) respectively; whereas P. candei crenata as follows; 0.71 ± 0.10, 2.94 ± 0.11, 0.09 ± 0.01 and 33.74 ± 1.15 µg g-1 dry wt. (mean ± S.E.). We found significant differences for metal concentrations between the eastern islands and the western islands for both species. We did not observed evidences that more inhabited islands (Tenerife and Gran Canaria), had the highest metal concentration levels. Natural inputs from the upwelling region and other factors like size, food availability and/or excretion could have contributed to the variability. P. rustica presented negative correlations between metal concentrations and body weight and size, whereas, P. candei crenata showed negative correlations with Pb and with the biometric parameters. P. candei crenata revealed also positive correlation between Cd concentration and size. Keywords: heavy metals, biomonitors, patella, Cu, Cd, Pb, Zn.

Chemical characterisation of african dust transported to Canary Region

Aerosol samples have been collected at three stations on Gran Canaria Island (Taliarte at sea level, Tafira 269 m a.s.l. and Pico de la Gorra 1930 m a.s.l.) during 2000-2008. Elemental characterisation of the collected mineral aerosol and back trajectories of the air masses are used to distinguish regional African sources of dust. Dust aerosol samples from North Sahara (Morocco, North Algeria and Tunisia), West and Central Sahara (20°-30°N, 18°W-50°E) and Sahel (0°-20°N, 18°W-50°E) have shown different Ca/Ti, Al/Ti and Fe/Al ratios. Ti appears as a better tracer element of specific source of dust than Fe, probably due to a less mineral alteration during the atmospheric transport.

Solubility of aerosol trace elements: Sources and deposition fluxes in the Canary Region

ABSTRACT To date there have been no long-term aerosol studies in the Canary Basin, and current es… more ABSTRACT To date there have been no long-term aerosol studies in the Canary Basin, and current estimates of soluble fluxes of Al, Mn, Fe, P and N for the region are based on limited data available from several oceanographic research cruises which have crossed the region during large transects of the Atlantic Ocean.

We love our stay in Villa Canaria. We travel a lot with kids so always always we rent a house. Our last experience by Puck Bay in Poland on May 1st, 2022 in House on the Hill, 26 Piekne Widoki, 84-120 Oslonino, Poland was terrible. I am in shock that the property is still on booking.com! So, we were concerned about the next travel but Villa Canaria charmed us. We also loved the garden with tomatoes, herbs, and pepper we were allowed to pick. It was also beautiful to have a cup of coffee under banana trees. We had fun collecting eggs each morning from the chicken coop located in the garden. The host of Villa Canaria, Jose is very dedicated and helpful. He answered our questions on what’s app immediately. When we arrived (it was very late because of our flight), Jose left some ham, cheese, butter, a bottle of water and wine, milk, and some fruit for us. It was really nice.
The villa is located in the North of the island in the area with actually no tourists which we like very much as well.
We spend a marvelous and memorable time in Gran Canaria which was due to our stay in Villa Canaria.

Maria Sirotkina on how to do everything — T&P
As part of the Superheroes special project, T&P spoke with Maria Sirotkina, an entrepreneur in the field of education, the founder of the Jey Study agency, who had a baby during her MBA and is now opening a co-working space in the Canary Islands.
Marya Sirotkina, 28 years old
Entrepreneur in education, founder of Jey Study agency, gave birth to a child during her MBA, now opens a co-working co-living in the Canary Islands
“There were about 30 educational institutions on my list”
It all started from the fact that while still studying at MGIMO, two of my classmates, Kirill Khripunov and Matvey Amagaev, and I created the educational company Jey Study. After receiving my diploma, I continued to work on this project, but I tried to work remotely – I wanted to try to live not in Moscow, but in some other interesting places. I managed to live in Costa Rica, Thailand and Spain, study in Jordan and create an NGO project with the UN in Nigeria. I have a journalistic education that has nothing to do with business, but at the same time I have never been a journalist, except perhaps for practice during my student years or temporary part-time jobs. Instead, I focused on the business from the very beginning, and I needed to compensate for the gap in knowledge.
When choosing a business school, I used a scoring system: I compiled a list of criteria that were important to me and gave each school a score for each of these criteria. In total, there were about 30 educational institutions on my list. The location was extremely important for me: it had to be a city, not a village and not a remote campus – after all, MBA students are no longer at the age to live in a pioneer camp for a year away from real life. I also focused on ratings, primarily on the Financial Times. School representatives will tell you that ratings are not important, but students are. The fact is that the most ambitious people choose the most rated schools, and it was interesting for me to study with ambitious people. It was also important that the training lasted exactly a year and no more – then I had plans to move on. I looked at the price last, my approach was this: first you need to go where you want to go according to priorities, and then we’ll figure it out.
My parents once told me a very important thing, and later I became convinced of how true it is: what matters at school is who you learn from and with whom you study. When choosing IE, it was important for me that this is an international school – I just wanted to gain as many new international contacts as possible. Yes, I had already formed a base of such contacts at the time of admission, but these were people from my own educational sphere, and it is very difficult to go beyond my own professional environment. The year of study at IE turned out to be extremely intensive and fruitful in terms of networking. Moreover, it was possible not only to get to know and communicate with people, but to immediately start working together.
I studied in a completely English program, so I didn’t need to know Spanish. But my husband is Spanish, so at the time of admission, I already spoke a little this language. However, Spanish was not needed to communicate with classmates. As far as I know, none of my classmates ever learned this language – simply because there was no time, the training program was too intense. Spanish is a must if you are going to make a career in Latin America. In Spain itself, in many positions, you can safely start with English – for example, in the field of consulting or audit.
“Almost immediately after the maternity hospital, I had to be at the university”
During my studies, I gave birth to a child, he was already a year old. In Europe, such things are easier to relate to, there is no concept of a long decree – in Spain, for example, a decree lasts 16 weeks. I am very close to this position. Almost immediately after the maternity hospital, I had to be at the university where a career fair was held – and I was present at it. 10 days after giving birth, I started having couples – and I went to them. I had to take a few more courses, write a term paper and complete work on one startup – and I did it. There is nothing superhuman in this. Yes, with the advent of a child, there are additional difficulties in terms of logistics, but MBA students should cope with logistics with a bang. My family helped me a lot, without them I could not have done it. My mother came to me for a month and a half and carried my child to feed me between couples. My husband works remotely from home, and he also helped as much as he could. You could say that we all graduated from my MBA together. Even now, looking back, it seems to me that everything was fine and not so difficult.
“Digital nomads come to us from all over the planet”
My new project, ReStation co-living, was launched quite recently, in October. This is a project of the workation format, that is, work + vacation, work and rest are two in one. We are visited by people from all over the planet who work remotely (in English they are called digital nomads), as well as teams that conduct field team building retreats. Oddly enough, we are already packed. People found out about us through booking sites and online communities, in which we talked about ourselves and our activities. Press releases began to be sent after the first guests were accepted.

Hotels Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria
Is it possible to choose a floor?
Many hotels do not allow guests to choose a floor. You can indicate your preferences in the booking form and the hotel manager will try to accommodate your preferences. Also, in some hotels in Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria, it is possible to choose superior rooms located on certain floors – for example: from the 25th to the 30th.
What is included in the price of the booking?
The price per room includes all services listed on the booking site. To read them, you need to click on the name of the room. Often breakfast and basic taxes are included in the price. All this can be seen by clicking on the “Conditions” button. The information will be duplicated upon confirmation of the reservation and will be sent to you by e-mail.
Also, in some cities of Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria, an additional tourist tax is provided, which averages 0.5-1.5 euros per person for each night of stay.
Is the price per room or per person on your website?
On our website, Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria is quoted per room based on the number of people you entered in your search. Also, please note that additional services are not included in the search results – for example, such as: accommodation with a pet, provision of an extra bed, SPA procedures, etc.
What documents are needed for moving in?
Upon arrival at the hotel, the guest must present to the administrator a passport, a document confirming the reservation and a bank card.
What are the types of accommodation and how do they stand for?
Accommodation types are as follows:
Single – single room, or accommodation of one person in a double room.
Double – a double room that offers one double bed.
Twin – a double room, but with two single beds.
Triple – a triple room, in which there are either three single beds, or one double bed in combination with one single bed. Unlike the DBL + EXB accommodation, here is a stationary third bed.
Duplex – a room with two floors.
De luxe – a room with luxurious furnishings and interior.
Suite – a room with two rooms of high comfort.
Junior Suite – junior suite with an improved layout.
Senior Suite – a room that includes a bedroom and a living room.
Executive Suite – a room with two bedrooms.
Cancellation Policy
In most cases, you can cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before check-in time. In addition, there are special offers that allow you to cancel your reservation up to an hour before the check-in time.
In the case where rooms are booked at a big discount, cancellation fees may apply. Sometimes you can meet completely non-refundable rates.
During Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria’s high season, rooms sell out faster and hotels usually tighten up booking conditions to reduce rejection rates. For this reason, we advise you to carefully read the cancellation policy before proceeding with your booking during the high season. All the necessary information is in the “Cancellation Policy” section.
Do I need to leave a deposit if the room has already been paid for?
The requirement to leave a deposit is rare. If the guest plans to live in the apartment, then he may be required to provide a security deposit.
Many hotels in Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria practice a different scheme – the administration “freezes” a certain amount on the guest’s credit card, which is returned after check-out. This is necessary for compensation in the event that the client damaged the furniture or tried to move out without paying for additional services (SPA treatments, dinner at a restaurant, etc.)
Is it possible to book several rooms under my last name?
No, only 1 room can be booked per person. When ordering several rooms, you must specify the data of those people who will live there.
Why, when booking on your website, the price per room is lower than on the official website of the hotel?
Official hotel websites most often offer the base price, while hotel booking systems (Hotels, Agoda, Booking, Expedia, etc.) almost always have special offers and discounts. And since Hotelhunter finds and compares prices in all hotel booking systems at once, taking into account promotional and discount offers, prices here may be lower than on official hotel websites.
Non-refundable rate
Bookings often offer a cheap non-refundable rate. It can be used by making a 100% prepayment, but it cannot be canceled and the money back if you change your mind about going or the trip has to be canceled, for example, due to restrictions imposed due to the epidemic of Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria .
Is it possible to check in (check out) from the hotel before/after the set time?
Late check-out and early check-in are possible when the hotel is not 100% full. Sometimes they can be provided free of charge, but in most cases you will have to pay an additional fee. The conditions and the possibility of providing an early check-in or a late check-out should be found out in advance from the hotel administrator.
What is the difference between a deluxe room and a suite?
The main difference between these two types of rooms is the size of the room, decoration and layout. When choosing accommodation options on our website, you can see photos and a detailed description of all room categories.
How to book Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria with Hotelhunter?
First of all, you need to specify the city in which you want to book a hotel, as well as the dates of check-in and check-out, the number of guests. The service will issue current offers with an indication of the price. From the list of hotels that appears, you will need to select the appropriate option. After selecting it, the system will redirect you to the booking site with the best price Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria. There you will need to select the type of room and fill in all the data to make the reservation. Typically, customers are redirected to the following portals: Hotels, Agoda, Booking, Expedia, etc.
How to save money on hotel accommodation?
The cost of hotel rooms is directly dependent on seasonal demand. However, many hotels in Santa Maria de Guia de Gran Canaria can offer discounts for bookings in October 2022. Use the search feature on our website to view current discounts and special offers. In the search results, hotels with a discount will be marked with a special sign.

Hipotels Coma Gran 4*
Spain,
Mallorca
Cleanliness in rooms and common areas, very comfortable with small children, delicious and varied breakfasts, nice staff, stunning views from the window, beach 3 minutes walk, kitchen with everything you need in the room, children’s room and animation in the evening paid iron! in a decent hotel there can be no paid irons / hair dryers. there is a blender in the room, and an iron for 6 € per day. raise prices for rooms by 1 € but let’s use the iron for free, you can make a deposit. it would also be nice to have disposable slippers, the tiles on the floor in the room are cold
Aldea II Cala Fornells
Spain,
Mallorca
Good afternoon, I liked the communication with the staff, any issue was resolved, with the possibility of early settlement and all others. Cleanliness everywhere, territory, swimming pool, restaurant. The apartments themselves are very comfortable, cozy with their own atmosphere, a good feeling that you are not in rented accommodation, two bathrooms, which is very convenient for a family of 4, a set of dishes, kitchen utensils for any culinary needs. And what kind of view opens from the terrace, and the sea and mountains are breathtaking. Aldea thank you very much for the warm welcome! My family liked everything, but guests who are considering this option should take into account the cascade of the hotel.

is a fairly large room, comfortable bed and mattress. large balcony, varied and quite tasty breakfast, especially scrambled eggs with vegetables. the pool is great! animators offer activities all the time. rented a car in the same place (bonus free parking) balconies are not safe, the neighbors looked at us when we were sitting on the balcony. the child will be able to climb from balcony to balcony. the door to the room opens easily from the balcony, it was scary to sleep. in the morning under our windows carts with linen were brought and thundered. cleaned not super clean. very powdery design of the building, the first days I was confused to find the room. but for the price it’s a great option.

Good location for traveling by car. There is always a parking space. There is no kettle in the kitchen, small pots. Not sure what the kitchen is for?
Hotel Malcom and Barret 3*
Spain,
Valencia
A hotel to return to. Everything is very nice, like home. In terms of comfort, this is a 4-star hotel, but so far they have not received the fourth one yet! Very pleased with the chef of the restaurant. The kitchen was incredible! There are just no comments. Everything was perfect. Very small size of parking spaces inside the hotel 4.5 meters. We just didn’t fit the length of the car. But it was lucky that there were free places on the street nearby. This did not spoil our impression of the hotel and our stay in the least.0003

Excellent hotel, nothing bad to say. Great breakfasts, great bright room, very friendly staff, great bar and top floor veranda with a great view of the Plaza de España. There are practically no shortcomings, I had a great rest, thank you! I wanted bathrobes in the room, but this is a wish))

Ona Hotels Mosaic 3*

Great location, very friendly staff 24/7. Comfortable mattress and pillows, large terrace, quiet, well thought out design. Small rooms, shower with a sink right in the room because of which it is sometimes humid. No breakfast at all, just a lunch box with a bun and yogurt, brought to the room. We regretted that we took it with breakfast, there was an excellent coffee shop with pastries nearby.
Hotel Barcelona 1882 4*
Spain,
Barcelona
Excellent hotel located 10 minutes walk from the Sagrada Familia. Other attractions are on average 30 minutes walk.
Silken Puerta Valencia 4*
Spain,
Valencia
Normal breakfast. Expensive, in my opinion. Nothing outstanding. The location is good, about the same to the old town, to the sea and to the Central Park with its wonders
Rosamar Es Blau 4*
Spain,
Costa Brava
Cleanliness, location, cuisine, attitude of the staff – very good!, I especially liked the Russian-speaking employee Valentina, who quickly and efficiently helped in solving the problems that arose, as well as the personal attention and help of the German-speaking hotel manager in solving these problems. In general, all problems and questions that arose were resolved specifically and on time. It would be possible to improve the awareness of receptionists about the options for solving emerging language problems-misunderstandings so that they do not arise initially in principle, and not so that later they have to be solved with a negative initial connotation / impression . Separately, I note that after all, all this that arose was constructively resolved
Hipotels Mediterraneo Club 4*
Spain,
Mallorca
excellent family hotel, good breakfasts, swimming pools for children and adults, animation, rooms are cleaned every day, a great beach nearby. no
Mon Suites San Nicolas
Spain,
Valencia
Location – Very central. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The room had a bottle of water and tea/coffee/sugar. The room is clean, linen is perfect. It should be noted that while in the hotel there is absolutely no feeling of disgust. The feeling of purity in every detail. From kitchen to shower. We found a pizzeria next to the hotel, which always had a huge queue (SAN TOMASO). And we managed to get into it – the pizza is fantastic, and the pasta was salty, moreover, for everyone. We had breakfast in a cafe on the market square. We killed a cockroach in the room – it was a big surprise to see such a rarity! It is very difficult to get to the hotel by car, there are no signs everywhere. It turns out that you need to go under all the signs at your own peril and risk. There was no real free parking. Google led us by car to another point, not to the hotel. And just putting the car in a paid parking lot, we walked 750 meters to the hotel. It’s not a problem, it’s for information that the hotel is not easy to find by car. It may be easy for the Spaniards to navigate in such a situation, but for us tourists it is not so easy.
