Villas New Lanza Suites

Playa Blanca

Villas New Lanzsuites is located in Playa Blanca. It offers an outdoor pool, a garden, a terrace and rooms with free Wi-Fi and garden views.
The suite had everything you needed including toaster, coffee maker, juicer, coffee pod machine, washing machine.
Huge comfy bed, very clean and well maintained both in the suite and all the outside areas including the pool and walkways.
The ‘Snack Pack’ was a fab addition as I arrived quite late.
Nice to have the terrestrial channels on the tv too.
It felt very special, although there were guests in most of the other suits for the week I was there, nobody seemed to use the small bit perfectly kept pool, so I had it all to myself.

nice and clean. In a pretty quiet place.
All equipment for long staying is in this place.
There is a supermarket not far away from the villa, 5 min walking to the ocean coast and ocean view sidewalk.
During our stay for 11 nights, there was 2 times pool cleaning and 1 time general cleaning.
Somebody wrote about low water pressure in the shower, it’s true but it happens after 6 pm. In the morning and in the afternoon everything works perfectly.

Am due a long awaited payout from work and am thinking of blowing a chunk of it on a family winter sun holiday in Feb or Mar (kids primary ages).

Really fancy the Caribbean, but have never been and no idea which islands / countries make sense with kids.

Looking for experiences / thoughts / suggestions 🙏🏻

Or should I just look at Canaries and stop humming along to Billy Ocean in my head 😆

We went to Barbados as it was the easiest to get to and the easiest to get around. The kids loved being in the pool every day and flying with virgin was a breeze. Eye wateringly expensive for food which was a negative. Beautiful beaches. One of the more commercial islands but that suited us as a young family

Eeek, it says it’s usually above 20c, which is good enough for me, but cold doesn’t sound good!

We went to Barbados as it was the easiest to get to and the easiest to get around. The kids loved being in the pool every day and flying with virgin was a breeze. Eye wateringly expensive for food which was a negative. Beautiful beaches. One of the more commercial islands but that suited us as a young family

Barbados is the one I’ve been looking at actually as read it was family friendly. Thanks 👍🏻

We’ve done St Lucia and Antigua and struggled with the poor/inconsistent service and lack of decent kids clubs tbh. Brand was Royalton, They advertised kids clubs activities but never ran them and often rocked up to find a locked door, closed up when they were meant to be running a great sounding activity.

waiting an hour for breakfast with kids isn’t fun.

woukd love to see a good recommendation on here though.

Barbados is beautiful. The West Coast has lovely beaches but the beaches are sloped and it gets deep, pretty quick and swells can make it hard for young children to get in and out of.

I think it is a better destination for older teens as snorkeling off the beach would be more relaxing. I wouldn’t say it is great for young children.

We went to Barbados pre kids and I’d love to go back – am trying to book something for August, w be now have a 4 and 6 year old and I know they’ll love walking out onto white sand beaches and swimming. Everything is within about 30 mins drive which is ideal as I hate travelling too much on holiday. Be aware that the flights over Easter and may half term are insanely expensive – that was my original plan but flights are less than half the price in summer hols. We went in August previously and weather was fine – hot and sunny every day but a couple of times it clouded over, had to a call heavy downpour for an hour or so then the sun came back out . In fact places I’ve looked in Europe for Easter or may half term seem more expensive then than over the summer. May not be the case if you’re planning to go term time though.

I love Barbados, by far the best Caribbean island I have been to. Have been pre kids and with a 5 and 10 year old and we all loved it.
It is expensive though, all inclusive would always be my choice and then you can still go out and about when you choose.

We took primary aged dc to Cuba at Feb half term a couple of years ago. It was amazing. The kids loved it (although they did complain about the heat once or twice). Personally I think it’s a much more interesting place than Barbados and Antigua.

We like to explore though; if you just want an AI and a beach to flop on then those islands are probably easier. Choose your resort with care though and do check reviews.

We’ve been to the Canaries in Feb many times. Fuerteventura is wonderful. My favourite place is El Cotillo, a small sleepy place which has the most gorgeous beaches on a shallow lagoon, so perfect for littlies. The restaurants are friendly to kids and good value. Excellent local seafood.

The temperature there isn’t hot though. Usually varies between 19 and 22, but the breeze can make it feel chillier. This never stopped our dc going in the sea though!

Have been to several Caribbean islands as well the Canaries. The beaches and water are stunning, not as good as some countries I’ve been to, but better than the Canaries. Not massively interesting beyond beach and water sports though. I recently looked at prices and I wouldn’t pay it again. V v expensive and not good value for money.

Much rather go to Costa Rica or Asia again which is stunningly beautiful and cheaper (but longer flights) and more interesting.

Personally I wouldn’t. We’re taking DC on a big trip when they’re older and will remember it. In the meantime we’re doing winter sun in the Canaries.

We went in an Airbnb (with daily service, many have this as standard) and we went in August. I calculated that an AI hotel would be on a par with an Airbnb and having to buy your food. We wanted privacy and freedom. We hired a car and explored the island but best days were just lazing around. The weather was hot and humid with some rain but we largely had two weeks of amazing weather. Service is usually terrible and I wouldn’t want to set my hopes on a kids club. We went to Mullins beach a lot and the kids could paddle happily there, we also used the resort community pool. The Canaries it’s difficult to say but we have been twice in early April and then late April and it wasn’t sunbathing weather for us and I don’t like it hot. We were inland though so that might be why. I think the coast is meant to be warmer.

As @Hillsmakeyoustrong says, much cheaper to go in August but always a risk during hurricane season…!

I’ve experienced heavy rain/storms in the islands July to October. Sometimes just v humid and it’s fine, other times tipping it down with rain and high winds for a few days.

Despite the unpretentiousness of the canary, keeping and caring for it at home must meet certain requirements. For the life of a bird in captivity, you will need a spacious cage, properly selected food and much more, which a beginner canary explorer should know about. nine0005

What a canary looks like

Their appearance was first described at the end of the 19th century by the German explorer Carl Bolle. These birds were brought to Russia from Tyrol. The first place for the sale of canaries of domestic selection was the Nizhny Novgorod Fair.

The domestic animal differs from its counterparts living in the wild in its appearance and size. Its body length is slightly longer than that of wild songbirds. The body of a domestic canary grows up to 14–14.5 cm in length, while in those living in the wild it does not exceed 13 cm.

Some canary breeders manage to raise birds whose body length, including the tail, can reach 23 cm.

  • strong, cone-shaped beak with a sharp end;
  • wide chest.
  • Birds have strong bones, well-developed muscles, thin but strong paws. The eyes are motionless, and the neck constantly turns in different directions. Rounded feathers at the ends are slightly pointed, and the tail seems to be cut off. The normal temperature of a bird’s body is 42°C. nine0005

Canaries living in the wild have mainly green plumage, it may have a gray tint. On the belly of the bird, the feathers are cast in yellow. Throughout the body of canaries, dark stripes can be seen, which give the impression of excessive variegation of the overall color. Most domestic canaries have yellow feathers; red, white, orange, blue and other colors are less common.

    Main breeds

More than 12 thousand species and breeds of domestic canaries have been bred in the world. nine0072 All of them are subdivided into 3 large groups:

The least of all canaries is included in the group of songbirds – there are only 10 species of birds in it. Of particular value is their voice and ability to reproduce certain sounds and melodies.

Coloreds are bred at home to obtain new species with interesting plumage coloration. The most expensive and valuable birds of this group are red canaries.

Ornamental species are used in the breeding of new bird species to obtain certain body structure characteristics. nine0005

    Humpback Canaries

The quirkiness of the body structure increases the value of the bird for canary breeders

The birds of this breed got their name because of the peculiar shape of the body – they have an almost vertical posture and a lowered tail, which makes them visually humpbacked. The bird stretches its neck almost at a right angle. They keep humpbacked canaries in cages with perches located at the very arch.

    Japanese canary

It was obtained by crossing three types of birds: Scottish, Munich and Belgian and belongs to the group of decorative. They have a large torso and an upright posture, with their heads lowered to shoulder level. nine0005

Cages for keeping poultry are rectangular in shape, without domes and decorations. It is recommended that the Japanese canary be periodically released to fly around the house.

    Russian Canary

Russian Canary is one of the most melodious species of birds

The breed is officially registered in Russia, the most common color of this species is yellow

Their singing technique is not genetically fixed – each bird has its own manner. They are taught to sing with the help of pipes or recordings of trills of forest birds. nine0005

Rectangular cages are used for keeping at home. They are installed in the brightest corner of the room, protected from drafts. Heating devices should not be located near the cage.

Birds tend to be obese and should not be overfed.

    Pros and cons

For all its beauty, constant singing can be very annoying

Canary singing has a therapeutic effect on a person. In Holland, the treatment of various ailments with the help of birdsong (ornithotherapy) is used in official medicine. It is used to treat various diseases of the heart and nervous system. Australians use birdsong to treat joints and spine. The British use ornithotherapy to fight depression. nine0005

In the course of numerous studies, scientists have come to the conclusion that listening to birdsong for 5 minutes has an effect on the human body equal in its effect to a 30-minute walk.

The canary is the only bird that can combine the sounds of all other songbirds in its song.

Her singing can get rid of the following ailments:

    • headache;
    • gastrointestinal problems;
    • high blood pressure.

The disadvantages of keeping canaries include the following:

    • need to let birds fly around the house;
    • bird-created litter from feed and feathers;
    • loud singing.

Canaries begin to sing at dawn, and their singing can drown out even the noise of the TV with its sound. Flying around the room, the birds climb into various cracks, from which it is difficult to get them out.

    Care and maintenance

Canaries are very trusting birds, they learn everything quickly and easily. Their health and longevity depend on proper care. nine0005

    What to feed

Balanced food can be purchased at any pet store or veterinary pharmacy

The main rule of keeping a canary is to give the bird a special food that can be bought at a pet store. For the period of nesting and molting, special food is provided.

    Recommendations when feeding poultry:

    • add crushed buckwheat kernels and seeds to ready-made mixtures;
    • 2 times a week give a finely chopped boiled egg or fat-free cottage cheese; nine0008
    • In summer, include finely chopped plantain, sorrel, lettuce and dandelion leaves in the diet, and grated carrots, apples and bell peppers in winter.

It is useful to feed canaries with coarse river sand. The lack of calcium in the body of birds is replenished with the help of ground eggshells or mashed chalk. Charcoal acts as a medicine for poultry. It is periodically given to canaries to prevent the occurrence of various diseases.

Separate feeders are installed in bird cages for feeding. The optimal amount of food for canaries is no more than 2 tablespoons per day. Exceeding this norm leads to obesity of birds.

It is very important for the health of birds to keep their feeders and drinkers clean – canaries cannot stand dirt.

    Hygiene and bathing

Bathing is a mandatory procedure for keeping at home. The procedure must be carried out at least 2 times a week in winter, and in summer – every day. For these purposes, a special bath is used, into which warm water is added and briefly placed on the bottom of the cage or suspended from the frame. Teach the bird to swim gradually. The first water procedures begin at the age of one month. You can not bathe canaries during the period of incubation of eggs. nine0005

Canaries are afraid of swimming and prepare for it with pleasure

It is necessary to pay attention to the condition of their claws. Too long claws prevent the bird from sitting on the floor. Periodically, they are cut with nail scissors or tweezers, but not too short, as this can cause pain.

Canaries are released daily to fly. Before releasing the bird from the cage it is necessary to:

    • close windows and doors;
    • remove animals from the premises; nine0008
    • Remove sharp and hot objects.

Birds are especially carefully looked after during their molting. It is very important to give the birds nutrient-rich food at this time.

Bird cages are removed at least 2 times a week, additional lighting is installed next to them.

Feeders, drinkers, perches and other cage equipment are treated with boiling water. As a disinfectant solution, only infusions of herbs or potassium permanganate are used. To prepare the infusion, it is better to use field chamomile. The processed items must be dried before installation, the bottom is covered with white paper. Change it at least 2 times a week. River sand can be used as bedding. nine0005

    Diseases and treatment

Canary diseases can be caused by various factors. Each type of disease requires an individual approach to treatment.

Symptoms of the most common diseases of canaries and their treatment

    Vaccination

To prevent smallpox, canaries are given intradermal vaccination in the alar fold area. It is carried out in early summer and repeated once a year.

Choice of cage, accessories and toys

For keeping canaries, it is best to purchase cages with a double bottom made of stainless steel. Optimal cell size:

    • length – 35 cm;
    • width – 22 cm;
    • height – 29 cm;
    • distance between bars – 1.5 cm.

Cage door should be located on the side, placed inside:

    • Retractable tray with river sand. It greatly simplifies the cleaning process.
    • Porcelain drinkers 5 cm high and 10 cm in diameter.
    • 3 feeders.
    • 2-3 round perches, at least 1.5 cm thick, from fruit trees.
    • Flat bath tub. nine0008

Before placing the perches in the cage, they must be scalded with boiling water and dried.

How to breed canaries at home

Before mating, the male actively cares for the female. Birds must be vigorous and healthy.

During the mating period, canaries are given enhanced nutrition, which includes a large amount of greens, 2-3 times a week they are given a boiled egg. nine0005

The bottom of the cage is covered with straws or grass – from which the birds make a nest, in which the female begins to lay eggs a week after mating.

How to determine the sex of birds

There are 3 ways to distinguish a kenar from a canary:

    • By external signs. The tail of the female is 0.5 cm shorter than that of the male. The cloaca of the canary is cylindrical, while that of the canary is flat.
    • Singing. Males produce deeper and longer sounds. The singing of females is jerky, similar to whistling or cooing. nine0008
    • Behavioral. If you put a bird on your palm with your back and run your finger along the abdomen, then the male will start kicking and try to escape from the hands, and the female will only tighten her paws.

The best time for mating is March or April. At this point, the birds begin to cook about a month in advance. They are intensively fed and every day they are allowed to fly freely. Daylight hours of birds are gradually brought up to 14-15 hours.

Bins to be knitted must have a wooden lining underneath and the room temperature must not be below 15°C. Relative air humidity – 60–70%. nine0005

    Pregnancy

Canaries start laying 1 egg per day after mating. In total, they can bring from 3 to 5 eggs. The chicks begin to hatch on the 13th day from the start of incubation. In order for the female not to leave the nest during incubation, the cage is installed in a zone of constant lighting. If the female refuses to hatch the chicks, you can use a home incubator.

How to care for newborn chicks

The eyes of chicks begin to open 10 days after they are born. On the 12th day, their wings straighten, and on the 18th, the chicks leave the nest. From the moment of birth, the female feeds them with a mixture of crushed seeds and boiled eggs, which are poured out in a cage on paper. nine0005

Song canary chicks, immediately after separation from the female, are separated by sex and placed in cages. This is necessary so that young females do not interfere with the chirping of males.

In colored canaries, chicks are separated, which have a pronounced dark and light color of plumage. If this is not done, then the dark chicks will pluck their light counterparts.

Chicks that have grown strong, fully fledged and have learned to hustle seeds on their own are placed in spacious cages. Regular flights of birds help to develop and strengthen their body. nine0005

    How to tame

In addition to hands, it is important to train the canary to the sound of your voice in order to stop being afraid. The main thing in the process of taming is not to rush. Every day you need to approach the cage with the bird and talk to it in a quiet, calm voice. She needs to be given time to get used to and believe that she has nothing to fear.

The second stage of the taming process should be the landing of the bird on the palm. This needs to be stimulated by feeding. Having mastered and got used to a person, she will do it without fear. nine0005

How long they live at home

With proper care and feeding, canaries can live up to 15 years in captivity. The average duration of a bird is determined at 9–12 years.

    Reasons for shortening life span:

    • poor nutrition;
    • insufficient lighting;
    • diseases;
    • predators.

Birds are sensitive to drafts and low temperatures.

    How to name a bird

The name of a bird can be selected in accordance with its character, demeanor or color. The most common is Kesha. nine0005

If it is difficult to determine the sex of the canary, neutral names are chosen. For example, Acci, Bassi, etc. The choice also depends on the owner’s imagination. A mobile bird can get the name Zhivchik or Shustrik.

For a bird with yellow plumage, the name Lemon or Dandelion is suitable. A cunning canary might be called a Rogue. Very often they use the changed names or surnames of their owners. For example, Ivanov – Ivanka or Vanechka, Alexander – Alex or Alex. The time of year or month in which the bird was born can be chosen as the name. nine0005

Keeping canaries brings home not only trouble, but also joy. You should not start canaries for those who are not ready for their early singing and do not know anything about how to care for them.

Keeping canaries at home | Blog about pets

If you are used to getting up and going to bed with birdsong, then this is your option. The canary is the most suitable bird for keeping at home. Its maintenance and care will not require special finances and forces. Canaries were brought by Spanish and Portuguese sailors from the Canary Islands, as the name of these birds clearly indicates. The male canary is called a canary, or canary. The wild bird species of canaries, from which all domestic canaries are descended, is called the Canarian finch. Finches are gray with a green tint. Canaries, for a long time in captivity, have multiplied the family of canaries with all the colors of the rainbow. nine0005

There are soft green “canary” canaries, orange, yellow, red, white, black, light gray, brown. There are also varieties of canaries with a non-standard physique – crested, curly, etc. differ from the standard sizes, plumage, shape of the head, tail, etc.

A cage is required to keep a canary at home. It is desirable that the cage be rectangular, with a length, width and height of at least half a meter. Canaries are kept alone, but during the period of mating and breeding, joint keeping with the male is allowed. In the cage, it is desirable to have a double bottom with a retractable tray for cleaning the cage, retractable feeders and drinkers, several wooden perches for birds. It is better if the feeders and drinkers come with the cage, so it will be easier to clean and change the water. nine0005

The canary definitely needs a swimsuit, because these birds need a daily bath. It helps keep the plumage clean. The swimsuit, up to half the height of the paw, clings to the wall of the cage; after bathing, the water pours out. Watering and bathing canaries can only be settled water at room temperature.

Feed the canaries with grain mix, which is sold in the store. This is a permanent food, and each canary needs less than one and a half teaspoons of it per day. Canaries have a very high metabolism, they cannot be left without food even for two hours. In addition to grain mixtures, they are given soft food – usually a boiled egg, carrots. They also rely on vitamin supplements – pieces of fruit, cheese, vegetables, grass, for example, wood lice, sorrel, lettuce, dandelion for better digestion. nine0005

Male canaries are the main singers. While young, the male can repeat the sounds from the external environment, it is quite possible to “teach” him to sing using a recording of singing, for example, from the Internet. The kenari can imitate a tune constantly tapped or whistled near their cage. But in about a year, the canary remembers his song, and no longer changes it. The female sings less often, and not so beautifully.

In captivity it is quite possible to breed chicks. This happens around March. For mating, a male is launched into a cage with a female. Before this, a cage with a male is placed nearby so that the birds get to know each other and want to communicate. After mating, the male is not removed, because he is directly involved in the upbringing of offspring. Three to ten days after mating, the female begins to lay eggs. During this period, immediately after mating, she builds a nest. For a nest, she needs a net attached to the wall of the cage as a base for the nest, or several branches attached nearby. nine0005

For material, you can slip it with bunches of cotton and linen threads, dry clean straw, pieces of soft cloth, cotton wool. Eggs hatch for two weeks, and the male often replaces the female. During this period, it is better not to let future parents swim so that they do not wet the eggs. After hatching the chicks, the male, along with the female, takes part in feeding the chicks.

What to wear in Barcelona in March

What to wear in Barcelona in March?

What to pack for a visit to Barcelona, Spain in March. Barcelona weather in March can only be described as varied.

This month has one foot in the winter and the other in the spring which means March can be cold, windy and rainy one day and then it can be sunny and hot and dry the next.

Temperatures in March can be as low as 9C to 10C degrees Celcius (48 to 50F) in the evening and then go up to 16 to 18C Celcius (60 to 65F) during the day.

The day temperatures will feel warmer in the sun, so at mid-day it might almost feel like spring or even summer – depending on where you come from.

What to pack for Barcelona in March?

Pack winter clothes with a bit of summer clothes.

In March we recommend you pack mostly winter wear, but perhaps throw in a set of summer wear like a pair of shorts and a couple of t-shirt.

But you should only plan to wear the summer stuff in the mid-day sun. As mentioned the early mornings and evenings are much cooler than mid-day and if it is rainy and windy then it can be very cold.

So pack mostly warmish clothes like long trousers/jeans, sweater, fleece, cardigan, light anoracks and a cap, scarf and light gloves – that sort of thing.

The same stuff you would pack for the fall/autumn.

If you plan to be out all day touring and get back late in evening, then be sure to bring a fleece or anorak. A good tip to take is a light foldable backpack with you during day to store for extra fleeces or caps, gloves etc.

If you are planning tours outside the city where there is also much to see, then remember that it can be quite a lot cooler at inland or at coastal destinations.

So if you plan to book day tours to Montserrat mountain or the Pyrenees mountains from Barcelona then be sure to pack warm clothes and bring good walking shoes with a good grip.

    Best day tours from Barcelona

Barcelona is generally a casual wear city, so jeans and T-shirts are fine for most occasions. But the top night clubs and dinner restaurants expect a little more from their guests. The top Barcelona night clubs have a very strict dress code, so pack nice shoes, long trousers and a shirt or polo-shirt for men and smart for women.

The good news is that Barcelona is a great shopping city, so you are always pick something up if necssary.

Check out the Barcelona shopping malls

Another dress tip for Barcelona. Wear clothes that are not too touristy when your are sightseeing. Looking too touristy can make you a target for pickpockets in popular tourist areas. Read our article about avoiding pickpockets in Barcelona. One of the safety tips is to try to wear everyday clothes.

Read our Barcelona weather page for more weather information.

We hope you enjoy your stay in Barcelona in March. 🙂

What’s the temperature like in Spain during March?

The temperature reaches around 16℃ during the daytime in March, falling away to 6℃ at night. The UV index will be moderate at this time of year, so not something to worry about for the average person. However, if you’re going to be outside for long periods it’s worth wearing a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and UV-blocking sunglasses. Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand increase UV exposure.

Los Corrales is a sweet little rural village, nestled in the Seville province of Spain. Its small population (4,095 people in the last census) means that the town feels very unspoiled. Where to go on holiday in March? Part 1 – beach resorts

Best ideas for travel and travel in March: where to go on vacation in March, where to swim, where to get healthy, and where are the best excursions

March is a special month in many ways . It seems to be the beginning of spring, but the cold has not yet receded, the New Year holidays have already passed, and I want to relax even more than before. Yes, and an extra day off on March 8 – on International Women’s Day – only contributes to the desire to drive off somewhere to the sea for a week or at least a couple of days – on a sightseeing trip. nine0007

For ski lovers, March is the last opportunity to enjoy skiing, as most ski resorts end their skiing season in March.

And at the same time, almost everywhere in the world, March is the low season, when prices pleasantly delight travelers who prefer a budget holiday.

Where to go on holiday in March? This question is asked by many novice tourists. Everything is clear with the summer – Turkey, Egypt, the countries of the Mediterranean – wherever you point your finger – everywhere you can have a good rest. Winter is also more or less sorted out – New Year’s Lapland, warm countries, Christmas markets in Europe. But such an off-season as March often raises questions. nine0007

Beach holidays in March – where to go, where can you swim?

A beach holiday on the sea or ocean coast in March is a great way to prepare for the upcoming spring days, get a beautiful tan before the summer season and get out of the winter hibernation. Let’s see which countries offer a complete beach holiday in March.

Europe at the beginning of spring – to swim or not?

Until May, there is nothing special to do at European beach resorts – the water and air temperature do not favor a beach holiday. Is that in the Canary Islands with a strong desire, you can swim, in March the average air temperature here is +20-22 degrees, and the water is +18 – in general, swimming is an amateur.

Until May, it is unlikely that you will be able to swim in the popular summer resorts of Tunisia and Turkey.

The Canary Islands is perhaps the only place in Europe where you can swim in March

    March in the UAE

March can be called a transitional period in the United Arab Emirates, as the weather in the UAE at the beginning and end of March is different. So, at the beginning of the month the weather in the UAE is still quite cool, but at the end of the month it gets quite hot here. On the coast of the Persian Gulf, in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, the daily air temperature reaches 28 degrees, while in Dubai and Fujairah it is slightly cooler – about 27 degrees. At night, the air temperature drops to 19degrees in Fujairah, up to 16-17 degrees in Sharjah and up to 15 degrees in Abu Dhabi. Since the weather in the UAE in March is not yet as swelteringly hot as in the summer months, March is perfect for a beach holiday.

In March, a large number of tourists come to the UAE, as Abu Dhabi hosts a shopping festival at the end of the month, which continues until early April.

Egypt in March – where you can swim

In March, in the resorts of Egypt, due to the wind, it may not be very comfortable when entering the water, and the air temperature does not rise above +25°C. However, the cost of tickets and hotel accommodation during this period is very low – and therefore attracts thousands of tourists to the resorts of Egypt. nine0007

The first month of spring is perfect for excursions in Egypt, trips along the Nile and the pyramids – the sweltering summer heat will not prevent you from enjoying Egyptian sights.

Is it possible to swim in Egypt in March?

In March, you should not expect stable heat and warm sea from Egypt. The water in the sea in March usually does not exceed +21 degrees, and even with the air temperature – how lucky: in March in Egypt it can be quite warm – 25-30C, but it can also be cool – at night the temperature can drop to + 16C. The situation is saved by heated pools, which are located in almost all good hotels in Egypt. nine0007

It is most comfortable to swim in March in the bays of Sharm el-Sheikh, where the cool wind does not penetrate. In the windless areas of Naama and Hadaba in March, it is already quite warm, and sometimes even hot. True, the sea is not as warm as in the season.

    India (Goa) in March

Good weather for swimming in March is in Goa (India). In the Indian state of Goa, the air temperature, compared with the winter months, gradually increases, and the air humidity also rises. The air temperature in Goa in March averages + 31 ° C, water – + 28 ° C – quite comfortable for swimming! Tourists in Goa are attracted not only by the opportunity to swim in March, but also by quite affordable prices. nine0007

Also in March you can swim in Sri Lanka and some beaches in Vietnam.

    Sri Lanka in March

The weather in the first month of spring is normal here, the air temperature during the day is 30-32C, at night it is not lower than 20-25C, the water temperature is 28C, if there is rain, then they are short-lived, waves there is in the ocean, but it is quite possible to swim. If you want to have a cheap vacation in Sri Lanka in March (beach vacation), then look for last-minute tours to Sri Lanka – this way you can save a lot on your trip. nine0007

When is the best time to go to Sri Lanka and Vietnam

    Holidays on exotic islands

You can also go in March to the Maldives with their paradise beaches or the exotic Seychelles.

    Spring Jordan

In the south of Jordan, in the Gulf of Aqaba, due to the special microclimate in March, the weather conditions allow you to comfortably relax on the coast. The water temperature in the Red and Dead Seas does not fall below +21°C all year round. Cool weather will allow you to visit sights and memorable places that are inaccessible during the summer months due to the suffocating heat. nine0007

    Israel in March

This amazing country gladly welcomes tourists all year round, and the weather in Israel in March is rightfully considered comfortable both for a beach holiday, especially on the shores of the Red and Dead Seas, and for excursions and pilgrimages.

The most comfortable seaside resort in Israel in March – Eilat. In spring it is rather dry here (humidity is a little over forty percent) and warm. The average daily temperature of the first spring month on the Red Sea coast is 26°C, at night the air does not cool below fourteen degrees. nine0007

    Eilat

Mediterranean resorts cannot boast of such high temperatures. So, in Tel Aviv, the daytime March temperature is kept at around 18 degrees, at night – 13 ° C, similar values are typical for Haifa.

As for the temperature of sea water, with the beginning of spring it gradually begins to approach summer values, although not in all resort regions. So, off the coast of Tel Aviv and Netanya, it is still no higher than seventeen degrees, however, towards the end of the month, the water can warm up to 22 ° C. But the temperature of the Red Sea water off the coast of Eilat is already up to 24 degrees (on average for the month – 21 ° C), so the number of tourists here is increasing compared to the winter months. However, the Dead Sea remains the warmest – by the end of March, the water temperature here reaches twenty-five degrees, as, indeed, the air temperature during the day. nine0007

Southeast Asia – where to relax in March

In March, resorts in Thailand, Vietnam, China are very popular.

In Thailand, in March , there is still a dry season, so it is quite hot and dry here at this time, and swimming in the sea is very pleasant. It makes sense to go not only to popular resorts like Pattaya and Phuket, but also to less popular places like Koh Samet, Koh Chang and others – a vacation in March will definitely not disappoint there.

Among other attractive places in the region are islands of Bali and Hainan located at a respectful distance from each other. In March, Hainan (China) is quite warm, both in the air and in the sea, and the chance of precipitation is low. In Bali in March, the opposite is true – precipitation is likely to be caught, but the showers do not last long and go mostly at night. The water temperature is excellent – around +30.

Exotic Vietnam , or rather, its southern part with such resorts as Nha Trang and Phan Thiet, will also not leave anyone indifferent – there are excellent beaches, good weather, exotic Vietnamese food, the opportunity to go to beautiful Ho Chi Minh City and, most importantly, inexpensive accommodation.

Russian tourists do not need a visa to the listed countries, which allows them to fly abroad on vacation on a last-minute, and therefore cheaper tour. The list can include Australia and Hainan Island in China, Goa and Sri Lanka, but you will need to issue an entry document there. nine0003

In May, the season opens in the Mediterranean resorts and the opportunities for spring holidays are expanding to include European and North African countries, as well as resorts on the Red Sea. The flow of tourists rushes to Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Montenegro, Bulgaria. There is quite summer weather, and the sea is warmed up to 20-22 ° C. The beaches of Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco are filling up. In Israel and Jordan, the beach season begins in April.

    Holidays in the Arab East

The United Arab Emirates is a holiday for people with incomes above average, although unassuming backpackers can find budget accommodation options here too. In terms of service, the UAE plugs all the Arab resorts into the belt, delighting and surprising connoisseurs of oriental exoticism. nine0003

Cool by the standards of the Middle East, winter gives way to moderately warm March (24-25°С) and hot April (up to 34°С). The water in the Persian Gulf in March is not yet warmed up – only 20-22°C. But for the Russians who “dived” into the warmth from the cold winter, it seems already quite suitable for swimming. Another thing is April, when the water reaches 27 ° C and heated pools no longer attract anyone. In May, the air temperature rises to 37°C.

    Kingdom of Thailand

From March to the end of May, the weather in Thailand is hot – the air temperature is kept at 34-37°C, the water in all resorts is warmed up to 30°C. The usual places of rest for Russians – Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Phi Phi at this time are blown by a light sea breeze, and the central and northern provinces are already covered by the damp closeness of the approaching rainy season. nine0003

At this time, it is better to postpone excursions and prefer boat trips and water activities – diving, snorkeling and just swimming in the sea as warm as fresh milk. In March and April it becomes quite calm, high waves rarely rise. May is not the best time to visit Phuket and Krabi. The weather deteriorates and can change several times during the day, and storms come to the sea.

Cambodia – a discovery for Russian tourists

The Kingdom of Cambodia is still a new beach destination for our tourists. Most people come here to see the Angkor temple complex. And few people get to the beautiful resort town of Sihanoukville – a popular holiday destination for Europeans. Despite the fact that Cambodia and Thailand are neighbors, the weather in them is slightly different. The temperature indicators are about the same, but the Cambodian air is a little drier and the heat is easier to bear. nine0003

Daytime temperatures – 33-35°C, night temperatures drop to 22-23°C. The sea, especially near the coast, is almost hot. Despite the fact that it is very hot here from March to May, spring is considered a continuation of the high season.

In May, with the arrival of rains, rest is no longer so comfortable – the sea begins to storm and sometimes, during heavy rains, water floods the coastal strip.

The beaches of Sihanoukville are famous throughout the world for their beauty, by the way, one of them – Victory – belongs to a Russian family. The city beach is one big bar-restaurant. If you want to get to a heavenly place or go diving or snorkeling, go to the islands. The main advantage of the Sihanoukville resort is fantastically low prices compared to neighboring Vietnam and Thailand. nine0003

    Spring season in Vietnam

At the beginning of spring, the beaches of the best resorts in Vietnam are empty – the holiday season for Russian-speaking tourists ends. This is especially noticeable in Nha Trang. English and French are more audible on the streets, crowds of Chinese have not subsided yet, celebrating their New Year for at least a month. Europeans consider March and April to be the velvet season.

Spring in Nha Trang is good to relax with a child – the sea gradually calms down, the water heats up to 27-28°C and swimming becomes safe for children. nine0142

The first spring months are dry, there is almost no rain. The heat is gradually increasing, but a vigorous wind from the sea does not allow stuffiness to cover the city. By May, it gets very hot in Fukuoka – up to 40 ° C, in Mui Ne it is a little cooler – up to 33-35 ° C. At the end of spring, you can relax relatively cheaply in Vietnamese resorts. Hotels and restaurants sharply reduce prices closer to summer.

    Philippine Spring

Spring Philippines is a heavenly place. Behind were storms and hurricanes. White sand, slender rows of palm trees, gentle sea and not very hot sun – that’s what attracts tourists here. At this time, the resorts are filled with Europeans, Japanese and Chinese. Russians take the last place in this list. nine0003

March brings dry hot weather – 33-34°С. For those who can’t stand the humid stuffiness, it’s best to avoid resorts on the east coast. The first month of spring is suitable for lovers of a quiet measured rest. Inside the country, prices are gradually decreasing, and the flight remains the most expensive item in the vacation budget.

In April, the humid heat is approaching the islands, so those who have problems with blood vessels and low blood pressure should refrain from traveling. The thermometer rarely drops below 35 ° C, only a hotel room or bays covered with greenery saves from the scorching sun. Vacation prices remain the same. nine0003

It is better to spend May holidays on the western coast of the Philippines, other regions become unsuitable for a comfortable stay. In addition, the rainy season begins in the country. At this time, tours and plane tickets are getting cheaper, and you can fly to rest for a very reasonable price.

    Maldives

The Maldives is characterized by consistently warm weather throughout the year. Spring is the last chance to relax in a paradise before the summer storms. In early March, a strong wind blows on the islands, which can cause waves at sea. But the weather remains dry and sunny. By the middle of the month, the winds subside and surfers come to the island. nine0003

March is the continuation of the high season, so the prices for holidays are not reduced yet.

In April, short rains begin, the number of sunny days decreases. The high season is ending. April is the hottest month of the year, the air warms up to 37°C. Winds blow over the islands at the beginning and at the end of May. The middle is quite suitable for a beach holiday, as the heat subsides a bit.

    Beach holidays in Argentina

Argentina is not only a country of ancient history and natural wonders, but also an excellent beach holiday on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. This is an antipode country, our spring months are Argentine autumn. The high season here lasts from December to early April. In the eastern resorts of the country – in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires, the weather is moderately warm – 24-27 ° C. True, the water is colder than in Asian resorts – only 19-22°C.

March is the only spring month suitable for seaside holidays. Instead of the cooling sea, luxury hotels offer heated pools and a lot of interesting excursions around the country. By the end of March, prices for tours are almost halved. A beach holiday in Buenos Aires can be combined with exploring this amazing city – the most European metropolis in Latin America and the capital of passionate tango.

Mexico – a country for outdoor activities

Another Latin American country where you can fly in the spring is Mexico. March is not always suitable for a beach holiday. The temperature at this time can range from 17 to 30°C. The most stable weather is in Acapulco (29°C) and Mexico City (27°C). In March, tours to Mexico begin to get cheaper, unlike plane tickets. This month is the best for active trips to the sights.

The Mexican spring is considered the most favorable time for a beach holiday in the Caribbean.

In April, the air temperature gradually rises, but the last week of the month is overshadowed by frequent showers. May is already very hot and rainy. But prices are falling significantly and the resorts are not overcrowded with tourists.
    nine0003

    Spring on Liberty Island

March and April are high season in Cuba. There is practically no rain during this time. The air temperature is very comfortable (up to 26 ° C), with the exception of two resorts – Trinidad and Santiago de Cuba.

What’s the temperature like in Costa Blanca during March?

The temperature reaches around 17℃ during the daytime in March, falling away to 11℃ at night.

That’s broadly comparable with the amount of rain we see in England during the summer months, and would be considered dry. There’s a small chance that you’ll catch a thunderstorm during your trip.

Is it too cold to swim in the sea in Costa Blanca during March?

The water around Costa Blanca is a bracing 14℃ during March and would be considered too cold for swimming. Those who are a bit more hardy or frequently swim in cooler open water might want to take a quick dip. A wetsuit would be advisable if you wish to spend longer than 5 minutes in the water.

17 best things to do in Benidorm

Benidorm hasn’t always had the best reputation. Many people think of it as Britain in the sunshine; British pubs, karaoke bars, football shirt-wearing tourists, lads on stag parties, pensioners on mobility scooters…the destination is synonymous with the “Brits abroad” stereotype. It’s such a stereotype that there’s even a TV sitcom with the same name. While Benidorm does have those things, there’s so much more to the city than that. Visit Benidorm invited me to explore…

March Weather forecast – Spring forecast

March, the first month of the spring in Playa Blanca, is also a hot month, with an average temperature ranging between min 24. 4°C (75.9°F) and max 30.7°C (87.3°F).

    Temperature

March is the warmest month, with an average high-temperature of 30.7°C (87.3°F) and an average low-temperature of 24.4°C (75.9°F).

    Heat index

In March, the average heat index is computed to be a torrid 38°C (100.4°F). Take special precautions – heat exhaustion and heat cramps are expected. Heatstroke may occur with lengthy activity.
Note that heat index values are valued for light wind and location in the shade. Exposure to direct sunshine can increase heat index values by up to 15 Fahrenheit (8 Celsius) degrees.
Note: The heat index, also known as ‘apparent temperature’, ‘real feel’, ‘feels like’, or ‘felt air temperature’, is a calculated temperature value of how hot it feels when the moisture in the air is factored in. This effect is individual, with diverse people perceiving weather differently for numerous reasons (metabolic differences, differences in body mass, height, and shape, clothing), and activity. Bear in mind that direct sunshine exposure increases weather impact, and may raise heat index by up to 15 Fahrenheit (8 Celsius) degrees. Heat index values are particularly important for children. Young children are generally more endangered than adults, as they usually less sweat. And also, due to larger skin surface relative to their small bodies and higher heat production as a result of their activity.
The human body normally cools itself by perspiration, as evaporated sweat carries heat away from the body. A higher relative humidity affects normal body cooling by reducing the evaporation rate, subsequently lowering the rate at which the body cools and increasing the perception of heat. When heat gain surpasses the level the body can shed, body temperature begins to increase, and consequently, overheating and dehydration can occur, with varying severity.

    Humidity

With an average relative humidity of 75%, March is the least humid month in Playa Blanca.

    Rainfall

In March, in Playa Blanca, Costa Rica, the rain falls for 23 days. Throughout March, 57mm (2.24″) of precipitation is accumulated. In Playa Blanca, during the entire year, the rain falls for 327.5 days and collects up to 2299mm (90.51″) of precipitation.

    Daylight

The average length of the day in March is 12h and 5min.
On the first day of March in Playa Blanca, sunrise is at 05:47 and sunset at 17:44. On the last day of the month, sunrise is at 05:31 and sunset at 17:43 CST.

    Sunshine

January through March, with an average of 9.5h of sunshine, are months with the most sunshine.

    UV index

The months with the highest UV index are January through October and December, with an average maximum UV index of 7. A UV Index estimate of 6 to 7 represents a high health risk from unprotected exposure to Sun’s UV rays for the ordinary person.
Note: In March, the average maximum UV index of 7 translate into the following recommendations:
Take precautions against overexposure. Fair-skinned people may get burned in less than 20 minutes. The Sun’s UV radiation is most powerful between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. To the extent possible, limit exposure to the direct sun during these hours. On bright days sunglasses that block both UVA and UVB rays should be worn. A hat with a wide brim is extremely helpful, as it can prevent roughly 50% of UV radiation from reaching the eyes.
