If you’re looking for a multi-themed amusement park to spend the day with the kids, Siam Amazing Park (also known as Siam Park City) covers a lot of bases. The park, located in the north of Bangkok near the suburb of Minburi, boasts one of Asia’s largest waterparks, spread over 100 acres, with an assortment of water attractions that include 7-story water slides and one of the world’s largest wave pools.T he park also features an X Zone, Family World, Fantasy World, and even Small World that has rides for the little ones. Thrill-seekers will also find a suspended “Vortex” rollercoaster here. Suan Siam, as the park is known in Thai, is the country’s oldest amusement park, dating back to 1980, and has been listed in the Guinness Book for some of its massive attractions. Even Michael Jackson was here in 1993 while performing on a world tour. While the park is a bit old in the tooth these days, it has nevertheless been undergoing some needed renovations and remains a wonderful place to cool off and spend the day ensured that the kids will never get bored.

EXPERT TIPS BY:
Dave Stamboulis Bangkok Local Expert
Things to Do with Kids: “The easiest way to get here is via taxi. The nearest public transport station is the Lat Krabang Airport Link station, but it will still be a 20-minute plus ride from here. You could also get here via taxi from the airport, as the park is closer to Suvarnabhumi than the city center. “

nine0008 Dream World is Bangkok’s Disneyland. Beautiful scenery, rides, shows and even parades. The park occupies a fairly large area, and there is something to do in it.
Here’s a map for you to review.
How to get to Dream World
– by bus: No. 538 (Victory Monument – Don Muang – Rachamonkolk route) or No. 523 (Mochit – Kasetsart University) – by taxi. In general, of course, the “taxi” option is preferable, because the park is located on the outskirts of the city. By the way, very close to Don Muang airport. Therefore, if you are going to fly somewhere from this airport, you can combine business with pleasure. nine0011
We started from the Democracy Monument area (near Khaosan road), paid 350 baht + 100 baht for the highway (expressway) by the meter. The cost of a taxi from Dream World (there is no problem to take it) was 340 baht, also on the meter. This time the driver didn’t drive on the highway himself, so it turned out without additional payments. Interestingly, we were about the same in terms of travel time.
Working hours on weekdays: from 10:00 to 17:00, on weekends: from 10:00 to 18. 00.
We took tickets to Dream World on the website hotels2thailand.com. There you can choose the package you need (for example, we did not take the snow town), the number of people and make a payment. A voucher will be sent to your email. It is better to print it out and show it at the ticket office in the park. You don’t need to take your passport with you. nine0011
Our impressions
Very, very positive! We were all very pleased. Despite some nuance (about it below). I would go back there!
My main advice when going to Dream World is to put on your best clothes at once!
There are so many beautiful places to take photos! All sorts of benches, a fairy-tale castle, gingerbread houses, installations with hearts and different flowers, everything is so cool and cute.
Attractions
To be honest, I have never been extreme. Wherever it’s too high, sharp and fast… I’m not there. I remember wanting to ride the roller coaster. I took a ride and didn’t sit on them anymore) In the same park, I was interested. There are also extreme rides, well, for people like me.
When we were going to the park, I really wanted to ride the Grand Canyon. I think it’s cool and not too scary. Here it is in the picture:
Of course, I realized my dream. We sat on a round raft, and we were carried along the “stormy waters”. I swim, then, and I think: “Why were everyone in raincoats. We don’t seem to draw. Where’s the catch?!” After a few seconds, the raft slows down slightly and we slowly, slowly pass through the stream pouring on our heads. It was not big, but, as they say, high-quality. And then another, and even like another (the third time “more”, by the way, was not important, we managed to reach the condition, when it was, in principle, all the same). Guys, it was such a vile set-up … Be sure to wear raincoats! nine0011
But the next attraction went with a bang:
Vzhih – and you will not have a single dry thing on you. Cool f…
And if you have visited the Grand Canyon before, then there is nothing to worry about at all, you can repeat it repeatedly! Moreover, there are small shops nearby that sell dry shorts and T-shirts.
It’s hard to get bored in the park, there is also a cable car, and you can even ride catamarans.
Both by air and by water… Nearby, by the way, there are cars and by land
I enjoyed riding this attraction twice)
Cinema 4D
We also passed by a 4D cinema (the same nuance). I say: “Let’s go and see.” If, however, there are any films about roller coasters, I am slightly motion sick. Okay, I think maybe they have something special in Bangkok. Of course, how else! I doubt if you will be shown the same “movie” when you arrive at Dream World, but if you don’t like spoilers, skip the text below the picture below until the next heading. nine0011
There were a lot of posters at the cinema, so I didn’t understand what they would show. Everyone went and we went … A very important note: we had a 9-year-old child with us. We go into the room, the doors close, a researcher in a white coat appears on the big screen and begins to talk in English about the discovery of an object of unearthly origin. The study showed that this is a living organism, and now an experiment is underway, one of which we will participate in. I don’t remember exactly whether he showed it on the screen, or we already saw it in the hall, but …
……doesn’t it look like anything? In this picture, the egg from Alien, there was something like
Yes, I took my child to see a horror movie.
The doors through which we entered were closed. We were invited to another room. And the process was shown, how this egg grows under the influence of rays, and then a monster appears from it. And here it is (quite tangible, not a picture on the screen) is tied to the frame, the light turns on and off, turns on and off. And suddenly the monster is gone . .. and we plunge into complete darkness. I tirelessly remind the child that this is all nonsense so that she is not afraid that this is not real, the game is such that mom is a bullshit (here dad was completely in agreement with me). And at this time all around howls, knocks, whips on the legs, screams in the ears. Oh, I was so afraid that no one would grab her by the shoulders or something like that. Thank Heavens, nothing like this happened, and all my exhortations had a positive effect. When it was all over, she left the room calmly. nine0011
A couple of last tips
As you can see, the Dream World park caused a lot of emotions in us. The most different. Be sure to go there!
And if you, like me, are thinking about whether to take a ticket, which includes a “water town” in the park, taking a child over 8-9 years old, I advise: “Not worth it!”. There is a pure little inflatable area. Something like this:
The photo above is from a park in Hunchun, China, but the principle is clear. There is nothing for adults to do there. If you want a water park in Bangkok, go to Siam Park. In general, in Dream World there are also refreshing rides …
And also, at lunch in the park, everything is very sad, spicy, sour, tasteless. Don’t overpay for it either. There are a lot of cafes and inexpensive snacks. We sat down for some reason, eventually pecked the greens and chewed the rice. The same lunch in Siam Park is presented much wider and more interesting.

Highly recommend, especially if you are with children. We stayed at the Vista Flor Hotel.
I liked the road to Palmitos along the gorge. I liked everything: the show with wild birds, with dolphins, the aquarium, the Butterfly House, and most importantly: the location among the mountains. The park is interesting for this, in my opinion, everything is built into the mountains, even restaurants and an amphitheater.

Worth seeing and going down. And then climb up to the peak.
Bus 311 arrived at the crater from Las Palmas. Across the road from the stop begins the descent. We were at 10 am, besides us there was 1 more person. This is a great place to stop and take a break from the bustle of the city. The silence is such that you can hear the pigeons cooing on the rocks. The descent of 200 meters down was easy, the ascent was harder, because the path was at an angle of at least 45 degrees. For lovers of hiking, I highly recommend going down, because from below you can see beautiful views, a different angle and a different feeling of this place. After the descent, we climbed Bandama Peak. The views from there are mesmerizing. I recommend comfortable, non-slip shoes. Personally, I liked Bandama more than Vesuvius in nature.

Spectacular views
Wonderful place, amazing views. The caves are very authentic. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t spend much time there. The road to the gorge is not difficult. We parked at the Tagoror restaurant, where we had lunch. Parking is free for visitors. At 12.00 there were no problems with parking, by 13.00 a lot of cars arrived, they could hardly find a place.

Must visit with children and unpretentious tourists
The Oceanarium will be of interest to children and unpretentious adult tourists. Unpretentious because probably for those who often visit such places, this oceanarium will seem ordinary. For those who want to entertain children and unwind themselves, this place will be interesting. Oceanium is new and therefore everything is in good condition. Everyone wrote about the prices: 25 euros for an adult and 12 euros for a child. Children will be interested not only in a lot of fish, but also in other Sor animals. Of course, they will be most impressed by those places of the oceanarium, where hundreds, if not thousands, of all kinds of fish swim in huge aquariums, ranging from several species of sharks to moray eels and other interesting reptiles. There are several such halls and they are quite impressive with their size of several floors. Also, there are definitely aquariums here, in which sharks and other fish will swim right above you in a glass arch. In one of these aquariums (where you go in a spiral of several floors along the aquarium tower) we almost turned to the exit and almost missed the most interesting places. Be careful. Near the aquariums there are monitors with photos and descriptions of fish and living creatures. But the Russian language is not there. Total, a must to visit with children and for a variety of beach holidays.

A wonderful place
When I first saw Puerto de Mogan 4 years ago, I immediately said that I would definitely come back here again. You need to “see” it, and not “visit” it … With your eyes, soul, heart, smell the flowers, hear the cries of seagulls, the horns of boats, the roll call in the port. In addition, this is not just a warm corner for tourists, but a town of fishermen, which gradually grew from a small village. He is alive. The boys are chasing the ball in the evening in the square, and the grandfathers are playing backgammon and dominoes, from the steep street upstairs you can look into the kitchen and find out what’s for dinner today… The center of Puerto de Mogan is quite small, but you won’t leave here soon. I want to wander and look into every alley, look at the reflection of bougainvillea in the canals, just sit with a cup of cappuccino in the port, squint in the sun, and then go to a fish restaurant, there are a lot of them here, and eat a whole plate of small such cool fried fish. And it’s also good to come here on a boat, the island on this side seems completely wild and uninhabited, (nothing grows and no one lives, only tourists :)), Mogan looks like a hospitable white house – come on, come in, I’ll take you waiting 🙂

METAR Reports
Airport weather stations throughout the world routinely issue METAR weather reports . Such reports are used by pilots, air traffic controllers, meteorologists, climatologists, and other researchers. They are published via radio transmission and on the internet. We have been collecting and archiving published METAR reports since 2011, and have found third-party sources for archived reports from years prior to that.
ISD Reports
The Integrated Surface Database (ISD), maintained and published by NOAA’s National Center for Environmental Information , consists of hourly and synoptic weather reports from a variety of sources. We use ISD data to complement and backfill for our METAR archive.
Other Data
The sources for the averages shown in the daily temperature chart are discussed in greater detail on this station’s Averages Report.
All data relating to the Sun’s position (e.g., sunrise and sunset) are computed using astronomical formulas from the book, Astronomical Algorithms 2nd Edition , by Jean Meeus.
Names, locations, and time zones of places and some airports come from the GeoNames Geographical Database .
Time zones for airports and weather stations are provided by AskGeo.com .
The information on this site is provided as is, without any assurances as to its accuracy or suitability for any purpose. Weather data is prone to errors, outages, and other defects. We assume no responsibility for any decisions made on the basis of the content presented on this site.
We draw particular cautious attention to our reliance on the MERRA-2 model-based reconstructions for a number of important data series. While having the tremendous advantages of temporal and spatial completeness, these reconstructions: (1) are based on computer models that may have model-based errors, (2) are coarsely sampled on a 50 km grid and are therefore unable to reconstruct the local variations of many microclimates, and (3) have particular difficulty with the weather in some coastal areas, especially small islands.
We further caution that our travel scores are only as good as the data that underpin them, that weather conditions at any given location and time are unpredictable and variable, and that the definition of the scores reflects a particular set of preferences that may not agree with those of any particular reader.

Where does this data come from
Weather data for Nueva Andalucia was collected from the MERRA-2 project from NASA, which used a climate model combined with historical data from weather stations around the world to estimate what the conditions were like for every point on the Earth.
For all data based on historical data, we’ve averaged the data from the past 11 years (2010-2020). For example, for the hourly temperature at 10am, we’ve looked at the temperature at 10am on every day in May (e.g., May 1, May 2, etc. in 2010, 2011, etc.) and took the arithmetic mean. We did not smooth the data, so for example, our daily temperature line will have some randomness due to the fact that weather is random in the first place.
We make the most from 40 years of historical weather data to predict the best weather conditions.

The data are given for the time zone of Moscow.
Until 13:51 the thirteenth day of the lunar cycle:
13th lunar day. Second quarter, waxing moon
Moon phase : Second quarter, waxing moon.
Description of the day : The thirteenth lunar day is fraught with ambiguity. He is unsuccessful in that everything seems to be returning to normal, and in order to break out of the vicious circle of problems, you need to work on yourself. Meanwhile, it also has its advantages. This is one of the most social days, the time has come for social events, group contacts, and the accumulation of information. nine0003
Personality effect : Old problems may resurface, but should be dealt with calmly. By solving problems, you will receive fresh strength to renew your life. On this day, you can easily free yourself from the burden of the past, if it puts pressure on you and interferes with your life.
Business and money : Not a bad day for work, study and business contacts, but most likely nothing important will happen. Today alone in the field is not a warrior, so try to act together, both colleagues and superiors will understand you correctly. Discuss the possibility and ways of solving current problems. If you have conceived some new important business, postpone its implementation for a more favorable time – it is not far off. At the same time, don’t quit what you started. The day is suitable for solving financial issues and acquisitions. nine0003
Health : On this day, the processes of rejuvenation of the body are going on. It will be good and very timely if you pay attention to yourself: visit the spa, sauna, use cosmetics, use healthy foods – they will be absorbed perfectly. It is believed that diseases are dangerous, but it is gratifying that medicines are perfectly absorbed and act on this day.
Haircut : It’s time to cut your hair. A haircut will be successful, it will give your appearance freshness and attractiveness, moreover, it can even bring benefits and happiness. nine0003
Relationships : Be calm and friendly. Unresolved problems may appear, but you should not focus on them and sort things out. The energies of the day are not favorable for those who quarrel and conflict.
Marriage : The day is considered unfavorable for marriage.
Birthday : People born on this day are creators who are in eternal search. They easily absorb information and learn with pleasure. As a rule, they live to a ripe old age. On this lunar day, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Arno Babajanyan, Valentin Dikul, Vladimir Nabokov, Liya Akhedzhakova were born. nine0003
General recommendations : Vital forces are being actively renewed today. Energy, blood, nutrients – everything circulates in a balanced way in the body.
An excellent day for understanding and analyzing the past, obtaining new information, and raising the level of education. Today be among people – collective work and creativity are favorable. Maybe it will be possible once and for all to understand the origins of past problems. Even (don’t be surprised!) a simple unraveling of the ball of threads will help to unravel the tangle of former contradictions. nine0003
Warnings : An unfavorable day for doing great things and traveling, there is a possibility that everything can end in loss and disappointment. The day is not suitable for serious deeds and undertakings, especially those done alone.
Dreams : As a rule, almost all dreams come true.
On this day, happened: It was on the 13th lunar day that the American rover Spirit landed on the surface of Mars.
After 13:51 – the fourteenth day of the lunar cycle:
nine0019
14th lunar day. From this day begins the phase of the full moon
Moon phase : Second quarter, the moon is growing.
Description of the day : The fourteenth lunar day is the strongest and most powerful day of the month, it is recognized as one of the happiest. This is the time of the most active and decisive action. With the beginning of this day, we are entering a period when it is possible to start a very serious undertaking. Do not miss this day – it is exceptionally successful for starting any important business. Everything started on this day succeeds with brilliance. The next such chance will have to wait a whole month! nine0003
Influence on personality : The psyche is overloaded on this day, mood swings are possible. If you are in a bad mood – go in for sports, provide yourself with good physical activity, relieve stress. This will help the proper movement of energies and will certainly benefit you.
Business and money : Increased work activity on this lunar day is very useful. Work, work and work again. You can bring some idea or proposal to the public, share plans. Such activity will lead to a transition to a qualitatively new level: promotion, salary increase, reward, well-deserved recognition, and, no less important, new profitable connections and acquaintances are possible. nine0003
An excellent day for careerists and businessmen. Any agreements concluded on this day, any transactions will be extremely successful. This is one of the best days to deal with financial matters. A good day for detectives too: the crimes of this day are easily solved.
Health : All diseases will pass easily without any serious consequences. Drink less liquids: any liquid can cause a malfunction in the body. Perhaps “dry” fasting. Recommended almonds and salty foods, give up bitter and sweet. Favorable influence of music. nine0003
Physical activity : Give yourself a good physical activity.
Hair cutting : Hair cutting on the 14th lunar day can negatively affect peace of mind, do not cut your hair today. But a slight change in hair color is quite good for itself, and can contribute to success in business. Tinted shampoos to help you!
Relationships : Today, communication is excellent at all levels: with friends, relatives, loved ones, relatives, colleagues, partners, bosses, subordinates, acquaintances, strangers . .. Today people are determined and rational, ready for accomplishments and changes – use this full opportunity. nine0003
Marriage : This day of the lunar cycle is not suitable for marriages, not good for courts and divorces: at first glance, things will go well, but negative consequences are possible. But how can this stop lovers? It was on this day of the moon that the wedding of Charlie Chaplin and Oona O’Neill took place. And despite the fact that the father of the young bride after this wedding stopped all relations with her, the marriage with Una became the happiest in the life of the great comedian.
Birthday : People born on this day always strive for something, ready for a high feat. They are often charismatic, able to “ignite” people and lead them along when they themselves follow the path of vocation. Fate often favors them. On this lunar day, Anna Pavlova, Elina Bystritskaya, Makhmud Esambaev, Andrey Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky, Boris Yeltsin were born.

Since the mid 1800s people have been flocking to Santa Cruz to take advantage of the sunshine and natural beauty of our beautiful beaches and forests. Promoting the benefits of bathing in salt water, public bathhouses were the first big Santa Cruz attractions. By the early 1900s the tourism industry was in full swing. The first casino (which included a ballroom), The Plunge indoor swimming pool, a pleasure pier, and boardwalk opened in in 1904. The Boardwalk, built to be the “Coney Island of the West”, constructed its first roller coaster in 1908, which was quickly followed by the arrival of the merry-go-round in 1911.
The 1920s saw the first Miss California Pageants hosted at the Boardwalk and Cocoanut Grove Ballroom. The rise of Santa Cruz as a Tourist hot spot also brought other businesses catering to tourists: hotels, restaurants, photo stands, souvenir shops, bike, skate and surf shops – and more.
Today, Santa Cruz draws visitors both nationally and internationally, and has developed into an industry that generates over $500 million in direct travel expenditures annually and employs about 8,000 people countywide.

“The Postcard Californian Beach Town”
Santa Cruz Tourism
Located just 70 miles south of San Francisco and filled with sandy beaches and redwood mountains, Santa Cruz is a great laidback destination. The city is a counterculture center and known for its liberal beliefs. Santa Cruz is home to all kinds of people from the University of California students to Silicon Valley techies to surfing enthusiasts.
Some of its hotspots include the Mystery Spot, a gravitational anomaly found in the redwood forests. It includes demonstrations that defy gravity on one of the hills as well as the wooden cabin. The classic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has been a prime destination for more than a century. The mile-long boardwalk is also home to an amusement park.
Take a train ride from Roaring Camp in Felton through the redwood forests to explore the Santa Cruz Mountains. The steam locomotive is a perfect way to enjoy the Californian redwoods and learn about the region from your friendly train conductor. The train even stops at an old-timey village at the summit of Bear Mountain. The village includes many picture-perfect vistas as well as an antique general store. You can also take the beach trains from the same camp. They travel through the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park alongside a scenic gorge and through the city’s streets and along the waterfront and ends at the Boardwalk. You can also check out one of the many wineries that California is known for, located in the hillsides, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a very large city by Canarian standards, with 222,000 inhabitants. More in the Canaries only Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. Santa Cruz can only be called a resort with a stretch: crowded, noisy, unstable weather, you have to get to the beach by bus, a busy port. But it’s still worth it to come here: go shopping, see the main square, sit in a street cafe, take a leisurely walk in the Garcia Sanabria park. nine0027 And how is it in general: not to check in the capital? Necomilfo.
Despite its venerable age, very few buildings of historical interest have been preserved in Santa Cruz . One of them is Fort Castillo Negro (Castillo Negro), which in the past played an important role in defending the city from constant encroachments from the sea. Every year in July, a noisy costume show is held here in memory of the repulsed attack by Admiral Nelson and the loss of his right hand here. nine0027 The old fort is lost against the backdrop of the imposing concert hall Auditorio de Tenerife (Auditorio de Tenerife), opened in 2003 and has become a new symbol of Santa Cruz. Iglesia de la Concepcion (Iglesia de la Concepcion) with a high bell tower is the main temple of Santa Cruz. The church stands on the site of a burned-out chapel built by the conquistadors at the dawn of the colonization of the island. It contains the same cross that gave the city its name. The same way can be done on a bright tram, having arrived one stop. By the way, the tram from here is convenient to get to the historical center La Laguna (wonderful old town, former capital).
Heart of Santa Cruz – Plaza de Espana (Plaza de Espana). For a long time it was repaired, repaired and finally opened to the public. It turned out pretty, with a lake. From the Plaza de España, there is a direct pedestrian street Calle de Castillo (Calle de Castillo) deep into the city. Notable for a large number of various shops.
If Plaza de España is the heart of Santa Cruz, then Park Garcia Sanabria (Parque Garcia Sanabria) – his lungs. This is the largest urban park in the Canary Islands and a favorite place for citizens to relax. The entrance is free.
“African” market (Mercado Nuestra Senora de Africa) sells fresh vegetables and fruits, including local ones. Well, other products. Come in the morning. And in the Museum of Nature and Man (Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre) you can gawk at the mummies of the Guanches. Doesn’t work on Mondays. nine0006
Santa Cruz Beach – (Playa de las Teresitas) – is located a few kilometers from the city. For in the city, almost the entire coast is occupied by a cargo-passenger port, from here you can go to the eastern islands of the archipelago: Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
But once a year, Santa Cruz is transformed for several days and nights and literally stands on your ears. This is the time of the carnival – the main cultural event in Tenerife, attracting tens of thousands of tourists to the city. In 1987, the carnival in Santa Cruz entered the Guinness Book of Records: 250 thousand people danced at the concert of the Latin American singer Celia Cruz! More than the entire population of the city. nine0006

You’ll find a wide array of places to party in Puerto del Carmen. Our nightlife map shows the top clubs, bars, pubs, and live music venues. Specialty places like cocktail bars, show bars, karaoke, and sports bars are also included, as well as the best beach bars, bar & grills.
Hotspots
Almost all the Puerto del Carmen bars and nightlife can be found along Avenida de las Playas or very close to it. The stretch from Old Town Harbour through Playa Grande up until Punta El Barranquilla accounts for roughly 90% of the party options in PDC.
From there on you won’t find mind much until you get closer to Playa Matagorda. A decent cluster of pubs and cocktail bars can be found on both ends of the beach, but the selection pales in comparison to the heart of Avenida de las Playas.
Beyond the nightclubs in Lanzarote, we further added beer gardens and wine bars, rooftop bars, shisha bars, holes-in-the-wall, as well as, places with bingo nights, quizzes, and trivia nights.
Interactive Map
As you can see on the interactive map below, most of the nightlife is focused very close to the ocean. It starts at the harborfront, then moves along Playa Grande up to Los Pocillos and Playa Matagorda.
Clubs
The Lanzarote Palace is near the harbor and doesn’t close until 6 am. The Ibiza Disco is near the tourism kiosk at Playa Grande… but is Ibiza in name only.
Aside from that, there’s not much going on in town. A lot of discos tend to open and close rather quickly in PDC, but Arrecife is but a short taxi ride and offers a greater selection.
Themed Bars
Ruta 66 is an American theme bar that plays 80s/90s music and is probably the most popular of all drinking establishments in Puerto del Carmen.
Africa Bar has an African safari theme, as well as some of the best live music on the island. Both options are located on the eastern end of Playa Grande and within easy walking distance of each other.
While not really a themed bar per se, the Gran Casino de Lanzarote can get quite busy in the evening and has reasonably priced drinks.
Show Bars
The Musical Hall Tavern is the most famous diner and shows the bar in town and is also the most popular in all of the Lanzarote for drag queen shows.
Basseys and Betty Boops are the two other options that are drag show related but on a smaller scale. Betty Boops also has karaoke following the show.
Oceans Royale is unique in the fact that its dinner and show have a vegas cabaret theme.
Live Music
While Island Bar no longer exists, Tequila Lounge and Africa Bar (playa grande), as well as Electric Island (harbor) are incredibly popular. Many bars also play great music videos too with the only downside being it’s not live pop-rock.
At Playa Matagorda, Marcos & Aless Bar and Rockolla are well-known, while the latter hosts The Ska Duo on Sunday nights and is well worth the trip.
Almost every Irish or Scottish pub in PDC also offers live music with some sort of house band or solitary singer. Around the harbor, that’s The Scotch Corner Bar (Scotch bar), Mulligans, Craic and Ceol, Dicey Reillys, and The Irish Harbour Bar.
Along Avenida de las Playas through Playa Grande, there’s Brian Boru, Murphy’s, and The Irish Viking. At the end of the beach and heading towards Los Pocillos, you’ll find Maguires, The Dubliner, and Ned Kelly’s.
Karaoke Bars
O’ Briens (playa grande) and Rockola (matagorda) both offer live music on top of karaoke, while Betty Boops has karaoke after their drag show.
Cocktail Bars
The best cocktail bars are sandwiched between Playa Grande and Playa Los Pocillos. La Delicatezza and Golden Corner are the heavy favorites with Diamond, and La Gruta trailing behind. While a couple of streets back from Avenida de las Playas, Bogarts Bar is a fairly unique option, while RockaDilly, California, and Hawaïan Bar round out the rest.

Pubs
The Irish dominate the pub scene in Puerto del Carmen and make it one of the best places to watch the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Lanzarote. There are English and Scottish options too, and in general, the pubs in PDC also double as sports bars with a UK flavor.
A lot of options can be found near the harbor and aside from the Irish pubs with live music listed above, The Purple Turtle, Irish Rover, Slattery’s, Highlander Too, Hogan Stand, as well as, The Dog and Duck, Tipplers, and The Rock Inn.
In between Playa Grande and Playa Los Pocillos, most of the pubs have ocean views with The Galleon 2 being the most popular. Other options include The Bucket List Bar, Bar Adelante, the Owl & Pussycat Inn, and the Cock & Bull.

The aforementioned bingo bars, Topgun Bar, Why Not, The Hot Spot, and the Owl & Pussycat Inn all have quiz nights too.
Holes in the Wall
Sometimes, these snug spots are all you need to have a good time. The Tiny Bar near Playa Grande offers a sweet ocean view while O’Connells Dug Out is a teensy Irish pub that doubles as an intense little sports bar.
Linekers and Gallagher’s Beachview are decent options right in front of Playa Grande, while Arthur’s Bar near Playa Los Pocillos has a nice menu too.
Near the harbor, there’s Thomas ECK, while The Sportsman Bar is at Playa Matagorda.
Most pubs in PDC also have TVs tuned into UK sports, as do some of the bar & grills.
Beach Bars
Along Playa Grande, you’ll find a bunch of options with Sunset Beach, Shenanigans, Chiringuito, The Galleon Inn, and The Tavern on the Seafront.
On the way to Playa Los Pocillos, there are a couple of decent bars with ocean views in Ancala2 and The Venue.
At the end of Playa Los Pocillos, there’s Paddy’s Paradise and O’Sheas Bar while the Aussie’s Beach Bar at Playa Matagorda is an island favorite.
Rooftop Bars
The Sugar Lounge Terrace near the harbor offers a sunny rooftop with lots of spots to lounge and enjoy the ocean view.
Bar & Grills
Most of the top beach bars and pubs also have great grills but these selections best fit the category.
Near the harbor, you’ll one of the best grills in PDC at The Drunken Monkey, along with the Hatton Garden Bar which has an outdoor pool table.
The Snug Bar is a street back from Playa Grande and is a little hole-in-the-wall with outdoor seating and is right beside The Rendezvous Bar.

Cancun Riviera Maya Playa del Carmen Excursions Shopping Cuisine
The Yucatan Peninsula is located in Central America, where the Yucatan Peninsula is located in Central America. The north of the peninsula belongs to Mexico, it contains the states of Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
Yucatan is a peninsula of the happiness of death and the joy of life. It can be compared to a giant sponge – a huge number of caves, like pores, permeate the entire peninsula. Once these catacombs were dry, and stalactites formed there, but 65 million years ago, after the fall of a meteorite, the peninsula sank, and its cavities were filled in places with sea water, and in places with rainwater. Thus, synods were formed – flooded underground caves. nine0008
There are a lot of such caves in Mexico, and even on the territory of many hotels you can see synods, some of them allow you to swim.
The Maya Indians were actively interested in the synods, they used them in a strange way: they built observatories over the synods, threw virgins at them and hid gold in the black depths.
Yucatan keeps a large number of historical monuments, the most famous – the Pyramids of the Magician, the Great Pyramid (about 100m long), the building of the Palace of the Ruler with the famous “throne of the two-headed jaguar”, the Temple of the Phalluses, the House of the Skull, the ball game field, the Monastery of the Monks and pyramid of the old sorceress. nine0008

Cities and resorts in Mexico
The capital of Mexico is located among the mountains. Once there was an Aztec city – the ruins of Templo Mayor have survived to our times. The city has many monuments and buildings from the time of the Spanish conquistadors. There is something to see here
Cancun is a resort for those who love wide sandy beaches and active All Inclusive. There are many hotels of the RIU chain in the resort, in which automatic drinking bowls from bottles of good alcohol are installed for alcohol lovers. The resort is quite noisy with an active nightlife.
The Riviera Maya is a resort south of Cancun. Rest on the Riviera Maya is a holiday in beach hotels with a large territory, a wide beach strip (it is better to enter the sea in coral slippers). Entertainment is here on site, hotels are buried in greenery, many peacocks, iguanas and coatis walk around the territory of the hotels. nine0008
Playa del Carmen is a noisier extension of the Riviera Maya. The city of Playa del Carmen itself influences the atmosphere of the hotels located on the beaches adjacent to it. It is more noisy here, but in the evening there is where to go – a lot of entertainment and shops. Nearby is the unique Shkaret Park, which is a must-see.
Tulum – a resort near the ancient Mayan port. Excellent beaches, clear turquoise sea next to well-preserved Mayan architecture. Very beautiful, few people on the beaches – more expensive than other resorts, but worth considering as an alternative to Cancun and the Riviera Maya. nine0008
Xcaret Park can be called both a resort and a place of entertainment. The park has its own hotels, but the main thing here is its own unique world – underwater rivers, oceanariums, with the opportunity to swim with dolphins, Mayan installations and conquests. To be in Mexico – you must visit Xcaret. This park is one of the most striking highlights of recreation in Mexico.

Where does this data come from
Weather data for Santa Cruz de la Palma was collected from the MERRA-2 project from NASA, which used a climate model combined with historical data from weather stations around the world to estimate what the conditions were like for every point on the Earth.
For all data based on historical data, we’ve averaged the data from the past 11 years (2010-2020). For example, for the hourly temperature at 10am, we’ve looked at the temperature at 10am on every day in September (e.g., September 1, September 2, etc. in 2010, 2011, etc.) and took the arithmetic mean. We did not smooth the data, so for example, our daily temperature line will have some randomness due to the fact that weather is random in the first place.

Tindaya, the sacred mountain of Fuerteventura ? Marca Canaria
Fuerteventura is an undiscovered island with more than just endless white sandy beaches. One of the island’s treasures is the Tindaya Mountain, which was considered by the Guanches or ancient aborigines of the island as a sacred place where magic and mysticism were always present.
Tindaya Mountain
Tindaya is a locality of Fuerteventura located in the municipality of La Oliva in the northwestern part of the island. The Montaña de Tindaya is a characteristic feature of the island’s relief, where a volcanic mountain rises out of a plain, leaving a landscape worthy of admiration.
This mountain is 400 metres high and rises above the Esquinzo plain, a true reflection of the arid landscape characteristic of Fuerteventura, where this type of rock formation is found.
It is estimated that this mountain is 18.7 million years old, making it one of the earliest volcanic formations on the island. The passage of time and the erosion caused by external agents such as wind and sun (and to a lesser extent rain) give it an imposing appearance today, where quartz-trachyte rocks, which are the most resistant to the effects of erosion, are found.
The sacred mountain
The aborigines of Fuerteventura considered the Tindaya Mountain to be a magical place, and proof of this are the podomorphs or rock engravings found on its summit.
The stories and traditions of the island always refer to this mountain as a sacred place where magical rituals were performed.
How to visit the Tindaya Mountain
Depending on where on the island you start from, there are different ways to get to Tindaya and visit its sacred mountain. You always have to head towards the municipality of La Oliva, which is located in the north-western part of the island, halfway between Puerto del Rosario (the island’s capital) and the natural park of Corralejo (where the dunes end in the sea). A permit must be requested from the Fuerteventura Cabildo’s Department of the Environment in order to access Montaña Tindaya, which can be done from the capital itself or from Corralejo.
With the permission granted, you must go to the village of Tindaya, which is located on the south side of the mountain and where it is possible to stock up for the adventure of climbing the mountain. It is important to remember that Fuerteventura is an island where the temperature is high and the climate is dry, so it is essential to bring enough water and sun protection (hat and sun cream) to be able to do the excursion safely.
There is an established and signposted path that leads to the top of the mountain. It is necessary to stay on it in order to respect the environment and preserve the heritage of this magical mountain.
The walk to the summit will take approximately two hours if done at a leisurely pace, stopping to enjoy the surroundings and the views. There are about 2 kilometres of path with moderately demanding climbs, so it can be done without much difficulty.
Once at the top you can see the rock engravings in the form of feet that testify that the place was considered sacred and magical in ancient times.
Tindaya Mountain is part of the heritage of Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands, being a place that was considered special and mystical by the island’s aborigines. A hike to the top is a very interesting activity to do on an island where the sun and the beach are the two main attractions.

The village of Tindaya in Fuerteventura
The Chapel of Our Lady of Charity (Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Caridad)
The Chapel of Our Lady of Charity is a small building with a single nave, with a small vestry built against the right wall on the Epistle wall. Only a walk separates the chancel from the nave where a Baroque altar; one reaches the sacristy through a door to the right of the altar. The floor is paved with stone slabs and the cover is a simple frame supported by four beams.
The front panel opens a door surmounted by a round arch; left gable stands a small bell tower in dark volcanic stone. A second door opens in the Epistle wall. All the walls are whitewashed.
The Natural Monument Mountain of Tindaya (Monumento Natural Montaña de Tindaya)
The Montaña de Tindaya is 6 km from the west coast of the island of Fuerteventura, in the plain of Esquinzo (Llano de Esquinzo) through the Barrenco de Esquinzo. Mount Tindaya is a type of volcano Pelean, a volcanic eruption made without protrusion of rock a light brown-gray color with a particular grain, trachyte; the rock is marbled red by iron oxides. This rock has remained bare due to intense erosion processes.
The dome has a basic elliptical, the major axis, oriented in a NE-SW direction, has a length of about 1200 meters and the minor axis length of 750 meters. All the faces have a triangular profile, with a high slope and a wrinkled surface; the top of the dome is at an altitude of 397 meters. The Montaña de Tindaya is a very different appearance from that of most other volcanoes of Fuerteventura which are Strombolian volcanoes.
This uniqueness has probably caught the imagination of aboriginal Fuerteventura that made the Mountain Tindaya a sacred mountain (Montaña sagrada de Tindaya). It has indeed discovered near the top of the mountain many rock carvings in the shape of human feet (petroglyphs podomorphes): about 290 prints, almost all of which are oriented towards the west – towards the peak of the Teide on ’ island of Tenerife – or southwest – toward the island of Gran Canaria. The Pico del Teide, with 3718 meters above sea level, was considered the seat of god Guanches volcano Guayote. On clear days the Teide is visible from the top of the Montaña de Tindaya. These podomorphes prints suggest the aboriginal Berber origin of the Canaries, as similar prints are also in the Atlas Mountains in North Africa. In addition to the prints was found on the mountain of Tindaya, other archaeological remains, such as cave dwellings, a necropolis and a shell dump. The top of Tindaya seems to have been a place of worship where human sacrifices may have occurred. In the centuries that followed the conquest of the island by the Europeans of the mountain Tindaya remained surrounded by a special aura: it was often mentioned in local folklore and people avoided go up, because – believe -on – it was guarded by witches.
For its geological value the Montaña de Tindaya was classified as a Nature Reserve in 1987. Despite this status a stone quarry was authorized in 1991 to exploit the marbled red trachyte which is a very decorative stone; exploitation of stone has now ceased, but left a scar on the side of the mountain. The integrity of the mountain was also jeopardized by a controversial project by the Basque artist Eduardo Chillida (1924-2002) who wanted to create, in the top of the mountain, a giant cubic cavity, 50 meters wide, with two vertical wells and a horizontal tunnel for access and lighting of the room, and to symbolize the relationship of the mountain with the heavens and the sea. Despite opposition from environmentalists, the government of Balearic islands ordered a feasibility study to 11.8 million euros. Irregularities and suspicions of corruption – related to the market value of the trachyte which would be extracted – brought “Case Tindaya” to justice; the case has not been decided. The mountain was classified as a Natural Monument and Point of Interest Geological (Monumento Natural y Punto de Interés Geológico) in 1994. Mount Tindaya is considered the most emblematic natural monument of the island of Fuerteventura.
Because of this protection, and because there has been vandalism on the rock carvings, it is necessary to obtain authorization from the Environment Council (Consejeria de Medio Ambiente), to climb the Montaña de Tindaya. Climbing the volcano is by the west side and an altitude difference of 250 meters; it can be done in 2 hours round trip. Along the way a guard can control the authorization and provide guidance on the way forward. The departure is to the right of Our Lady of Charity chapel; we pass a transformer then follows a paved road; it must then turn right on a dirt road lined with non-stone walls; rather difficult climb then begins along a stony ridge and colored (brown, red, black, white). The arrival at the top reward these efforts with a splendid view of the surrounding area, especially northwest, on the Montaña Prieta (208 m) to the golden desert and curves. On a clear day you can see the peak of Teide on Tenerife.
Monument to Miguel de Unamuno (Monumento a Don Miguel de Unamuno)
At 2.5 km south of Tindaya is the Montaña Quemada (Burnt Mountain). At the foot of this mountain was built a monument dedicated to the memory of the poet, novelist and Spanish Basque philosopher Miguel de Unamuno (Bilbao, 1864 – Salamanca, 1936), because this mountain was one of his favorite places on the island. The monument was funded by the Chapter of Fuerteventura and the municipality of Puerto del Rosario; the statue of more than 2 m in height is a work of sculptor canary Juan Borges Lineres, conducted in 1970.
Unamuno had been dismissed from the university and was forced into exile in Fuerteventura, from 1924 to 1930, following his harsh criticism against the authoritarian government of General Primo de Rivera. One can visit in Puerto del Rosario, the house he lived during this period.
We arrive at the monument to Unamuno by taking the FV-10 road towards Puerto del Rosario and then branching off on the FV-207 road to Betancuria. We can continue on foot to the summit of Montaña Quemada.
Beach Jarugo (Playa de Jarugo)
From the village of Tindaya you can go to the deserted beach of Jarugo via a south-west runway.
