Ibiza vs Mallorca – Which Should you Visit?

Ibiza and Mallorca are two of the most popular travel destinations in Europe. Both are part of Spain’s Balearic islands in the Mediterranean, both are home to hundreds of beautiful beaches, and both have strong contenders for some of the best party towns and cities in Europe.

If you’re planning a holiday to this part of the world then choosing whether to visit Ibiza or Mallorca can be a tough decision. Both destinations have unique cultures and tourist attractions, both have miles of stunning natural landscapes, and both are well known for the range of nightlife on offer.

To help you plan your trip, we’ve put together a guide to the culture, weather, beaches, nightlife and cost of both Mallorca and Ibiza, to help make choosing between the two a little easier.

Contents

Culture and Sightseeing

Mallorca

Despite being a Spanish island, Mallorca has a distinctly Catalan culture with its own distinct dialect and customs. It’s been an incredibly popular tourist destination for the past 70 years because of the mix of beautiful natural scenery and lively towns and cities both inland and along the coast.

The capital city of Palma is the best place to enjoy culture and sightseeing on the island, with the famous La Seu gothic cathedral found overlooking the harbour. The city’s old town is full of beautiful historic architecture and unique little shops and cafes, and its large size means that there is a good range of museums, galleries and music and theatre venues to enjoy. Why not try something different when you explore the city, and take part in a Segway tour around the streets and attractions?

Elsewhere in Mallorca, the Caves of Drach on the east coast are a stunning spot that is home to one of the largest subterranean lakes in the world. Alcúdia is a peaceful town filled with history and classic architecture, and in the mountainous parts of the island you have places like the Real Cartuja de Valldemossa monastery or the towns of Artà and Deia.

There are castles and churches galore, as well as swathes of beautiful scenery and plenty of gorgeous coastal settlements. You can make the most of the scenery by exploring the coast by boat, with plenty of different organised sailing excursions also including chances to swim or scuba dive around the island.

Ibiza

Ibiza has only been the infamous party destination we know today for the past twenty years or so; before that, it was a quiet port town surrounded by a rugged landscape. A history of avant-garde communities and artistic visitors has given it an immensely rich culture, and there is still a strong art scene on parts of the island with a focus on the contemporary and cutting-edge.

When it comes to sightseeing there is quite a lot on offer across Ibiza, with the historic buildings of Ibiza Town, the Can Marça caves and popular ‘hippy markets’ being top of most traveller’s bucket lists. When you move away from the busy tourist and resort towns you’ll also find plenty of beautiful and peaceful coastline to explore, along with quaint fishing villages and a couple of nearby islands such as Formentera and Es Vedra.

One of the best ways to visit destinations like Formentera is on a private sailing tour, giving you the freedom and flexibility to spend time on the beaches or snorkel in the water around the islands.

Weather

Ibiza is not quite a year-round holiday destination, but the climate is pretty mild from January through to December and the summer season on the island lasts from May right until the end of October.

In this period you can expect sunshine and hot weather almost every day, with daily high temperatures over 30°C. There is very little rain in Ibiza between June and September, so any time within this summer season is ideal for a beach holiday with warm and dry conditions pretty much guaranteed.

The ‘winter’ season in Ibiza runs from November to April, but you won’t find any freezing weather or weeks of grey and overcast conditions. Instead, the average temperature every day is around 15°C, but when the sun comes out this is known to rise into the mid to high twenties, particularly in March and April.

It does rain in Ibiza in the winter season, but according to locals, this only ever happens for three days at a time, after which the weather will clear up again and be wonderfully crisp and sunny.

Mallorca has a similar climate, with hot and humid summers followed by damp but mild winter seasons. Between June and September, the weather is hot and muggy with occasional thunderstorms as temperatures during the day sometimes reach above 35°C.

The Mediterranean climate in Mallorca is enjoyed until around October, when the winter season begins and temperatures start to drop. It does sometimes fall below freezing on the island at the very start and end of the year, and snowfall in the mountains is sometimes recorded.

Whilst there is not a lot of sunshine at the beginning of the winter season, once spring arrives on the island temperatures do start to increase and even if it isn’t particularly warm, there will be quite a lot of sunshine.

Overall, Ibiza has better weather for a longer period of time over the year and can be enjoyed in the months around peak season, but if you’re after really hot and humid Mediterranean weather for a holiday then Mallorca is the better choice.

Beaches

Ibiza is an island that is known for having some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, so you’ve got a brilliant selection to choose from if you’re coming here for a holiday beside the sea. There are plenty of classic white and golden sand stretches of coastline as well as small, secluded bays and secret coves with exclusive access to certain resort guests.

Because the island is so popular for beach holidays, there are a few private beach clubs across Ibiza that do require an entry fee but promise a quiet atmosphere and some of the best coastal scenery the destination has to offer. Most locations are lined with bars and cafes, so you can be sure of all the facilities you’ll need wherever you spend your time.

Mallorca is another iconic destination for beach holidays; it was actually one of the first Balearic islands to make coastal resort breaks so popular. The variety of beaches here is vast, with options ranging from miles of smooth, golden sand lined with palm trees to bays edged by cliffs and secret coves.

Some of the beaches in Mallorca belong to the holiday resorts and are private, whilst others are favoured by locals and require inside knowledge to locate. Wherever you are on the island there will be plenty of options however, with stunning views of the ocean and lots of beachside bars and restaurants.

There’s no clear winner between Ibiza and Mallorca when it comes to beaches; both are strong contenders with a massive selection of different spots along their coastlines.

Nightlife

As one of the most popular islands for a holiday in the Mediterranean, Mallorca certainly isn’t lacking when it comes to nightlife. The most popular city to enjoy a night out on the town is Palma, with the Paseo Marítimo area being known for its brilliant pubs, clubs and bars. And of course, the resort town Magaluf is a prime spot for wild partying, with the whole area geared up for travellers who have come to the island to let off steam and enjoy plenty of late nights drinking and dancing.

Whilst Mallorca certainly has a lot to offer, Ibiza is known as perhaps the best island in the world for nightlife.

First, you‘ve got an incredible range of nightclubs that attract some of the top DJs in the industry and offer unforgettable events throughout the year that definitely include some of the best nightlife in Ibiza. Then you’ve got the famous beach and boat parties that offer memorable partying experiences with unique elements depending on the organisers. And finally, you have a range of bars, restaurants and live music venues across the island that all offer the ideal environment for a brilliant night out.

The competition is close, but in this case, it’s definitely Ibiza that comes out on top.

Food and Drink

To the outside observer, Ibiza’s food and drink scene may appear to be overshadowed by the massive amount of alcoholic beverages consumed by a lot of the travellers who come to the island. However, if you look past all the partying you’ll actually find that Ibiza is a fantastic destination for food, offering a brilliant chance to enjoy traditional Balearic cuisine.

There are a lot of high-end restaurants in the areas of Ibiza that are populated with luxurious holiday resorts, and if you’ve got the budget for it then you’ll certainly get the chance to enjoy some exceptional cooking. However, we also recommend scoping out the cafes and restaurants frequented by the locals if you want to properly experience traditional dishes like seafood paella, greixonera and flaó.

Mallorca isn’t particularly known as a top foodie destination, but the local cuisine has numerous standout dishes that are worth a try when you visit. Local ingredients include a lot of fresh Mediterranean fruits and vegetables, and seafood is also frequently featured in popular recipes. Baked goods and bread are also an important part of Mallorcan cuisine, as many of the island’s religious festivals have their own cake or type of bread associated with the celebration.

Neither Ibiza or Mallorca are particularly known for their standout food and drink, but both have a wide range of local and luxurious places to eat that will suit all tastes and budgets.

Accomodation

Ibiza

Accommodation in Ibiza varies quite a lot depending on where you stay on the island. Hostels and self-catering apartments are very popular around the party towns, whereas quieter areas of the coast offer luxury villas and resorts.

Take a look at some of the accommodation options for different kinds of travellers.

Backpacker: Hostels such as the Hostal Mallorca offer clean and spacious rooms that are ideal for backpackers happy to pay a little extra for their own space.
Budget Traveller: If you’re still travelling on a budget but want to stay in a hotel, the Hotel Tarba in San Antonio is a family-run business that offers great value and has facilities like a pool.
Middle Range: If you’re looking to stay away from the busier areas of Ibiza, a hotel like the Hotel Village is a great mid-range option with some luxury features, from only around £200 a night
Luxury: If you want to splash the cash and go all out by staying in a villa when you visit Ibiza, the Villa Can Giovanni sleeps up to 8 guests and is ideally positioned close to Ibiza Town.

You can browse all types of accommodation in Ibiza here.

Mallorca

As a seasoned holiday destination, Mallorca offers a wide range of accommodation options for all kinds of travellers. We’ve highlighted some of the best options for different budgets below.

Backpacker: City Albergue Juvenil is part of the Boc Hostels group and is a great, modern hostel that offers guests a range of facilities in the capital of Palma.
Budget Traveller: If you’re looking for a budget hotel, the Flor der Mandarina hotel in Sa Pobla offers rooms for less than £100 a night.
Middle Range: If you want to stay in Palma Old Town without having to fork out too much for a room, the Hotel Born is a great option for travellers with a mid-range budget
Luxury: For a luxurious experience in a Mallorcan Villa, the Villa Molinar is located on the coast near Palma and sleeps up to six guests, with facilities including a hot tub, sauna and sun terrace.

You can browse all types of accommodation in Mallorca here.

Cost

Mallorca is not the cheapest Mediterranean island to visit on holiday, but it is possible to enjoy a budget holiday there if you plan carefully and sniff out the best deals. Its popularity as a holiday destination may have pushed up the prices in some of the more touristy areas, but this also means that there is a wide range of different holiday accommodation on offer and often cheap flights available if you book at the right time.

It is also possible to travel to Ibiza on a budget, but the island’s popularity means that prices for a lot of places and events have grown steeper and steeper over the past few years. If you’re planning a trip filled with club nights and sightseeing tours then be prepared to have to fork out a bit, or you can go all out on your trip and stay at one of the island’s premium resorts or luxury Ibiza holiday villas.

Overall Mallorca is probably the cheaper option of the two, although you do get what you pay for if you visit Ibiza to enjoy the clubs, hotels and beach resorts.

Transport

Getting to both Ibiza and Mallorca requires a fair bit of travel, no matter where you’re coming from. Both destinations are islands, which means you’ll have to travel at least some of the journey by plane or by boat.

It’s easier and fastest to get to Mallorca by plane, with direct flights from both mainland Spain and many European cities. You can browse the best deals for plane tickets on Skyscanner, with flights from London starting from under £20.

You can also reach Mallorca by ferry from mainland Spain, sailing from either Denia or Valencia.

It’s similarly straightforward to get to Ibiza, with the fastest method definitely being travelling by plane. There are regular flights to Ibiza from most European cities and cities in mainland Spain. You can browse the best deals and find the cheapest times to fly on Skyscanner, with flights from London starting at £27.

Ferries also run to Ibiza from Barcelona, Denia and Valencia, with journey times ranging from 3 to 9 hours.

Best For…

Both Ibiza and Mallorca are known for being excellent islands for a holiday focused on enjoying local nightlife, but Ibiza’s reputation as the best clubbing destination in the world means that it is the best choice if you’re looking for a trip full of unforgettable nights out.

However, if what you’re after is a private and luxurious holiday experience then Ibiza is also the best place to enjoy just that, as for every party town and boozy beach on the island there’s a high-end resort somewhere else that offers seclusion, relaxation and the chance to enjoy the gorgeous natural scenery.

If you like to see historic sites and old fashioned architecture when you travel then Mallorca is the better choice between the two, as there are plenty of classic coastal and mainland towns with charming old houses, churches and ancient castles.

Both Mallorca and Ibiza have quite distinct cultures and offer travellers plenty of different experiences between the lively cities, cultural coastal towns and picturesque villages. There are more sightseeing spots in Mallorca, but Ibiza has a more unique range of attractions that are better suited to travellers who enjoy something a bit different on their holidays.

Mallorca is also the better option between the two if you’re travelling with a family because of the wider range of attractions on offer, although there are several family resorts now in Ibiza that offer an experience that is worlds away from wild nights of partying on the beach.

Summary

Choosing whether to visit Ibiza and Mallorca will usually come down to how much money you have to spend on your holiday and the kind of travel experience you’re looking for. If it’s live music, clubbing and parties you’re after then nowhere compares to Ibiza, whilst Mallorca is the best option to enjoy Mediterranean and Catalan culture along with historic and cultural sightseeing trips.

8 Top Spots for November Sun

Swap the scarves and sparklers for scorching sun this November! There are so many beautiful destinations that are certain to warm you up and add some adventure to the final months of 2021. Wondering where you could escape to? We’ve picked out eight of our favourite November holiday destinations to get you started…

1. Hurghada, Egypt

Average high temperature: 28°C
Average flight time: 4.5-5 hours
Hotel we recommend: TUI MAGIC LIFE Kalawy

If you’re looking for a fun beach resort with endless activities and sun, sun, sun, Hurghada is a great choice for you this November. You’re pretty much guaranteed warm weather at this gorgeous spot on the east coast of Egypt. Expect tanning in daytime temperatures of up to 28°C and for evenings to stay fairly warm too!

Hurghada’s location right on the stunning coastline of the Red Sea makes it the perfect place for those who love to swim and explore on their holidays. Think extreme water sports and scuba diving with some of the world’s most fascinating sea life! Combine this with modern, stylish restaurants and stunning beach views, and there you have it – an ideal destination for holidays in November.

2. Antalya, Turkey

Average high temperature: 22°C
Average flight time: 4-4.5 hours
Hotel we recommend: Trendy Hotel Lara

Antalya is simply beautiful, and a great place to consider when you’re searching for where to go in November. There’s so much to do and see, from fascinating ancient ruins to fabulous waterfalls! The average temperature is a little lower than some of our other destinations at this time of year, but it’ll keep you warm enough to tan and cool enough to explore the wonders of the region comfortably.

When you visit Antalya, you’ll have the choice between the old and the new. You could spend your days meandering around the old town and soaking up the Turkish culture, or you could opt to head to glitzy, modern beachside resorts. There are endless places to visit, so if you’re up for a little adventure on your November holiday, this is certainly one to add to your list!

3. Tenerife, Canary Islands

Average high temperature: 26°C
Average flight time: 4. 5 hours
Hotel we recommend: Riu Buenavista

We just love the Canary Islands! They’re not only a great place to visit in November – they’re one of our top recommendations all year round. Tenerife is probably the most popular isle of them all, with the perfect fusion of lazy, picturesque beaches and exciting activities to make sure you have a holiday to remember.

On your hot and sunny November break to Tenerife, you can expect all the norms of a typical beach holiday (exotic cocktails, dips in the sea, amazing food – you know the drill!) as well as a dollop of adventure for good measure. Some of the extra activities to add a little buzz to your getaway include hiking up a volcanic mountain and visiting one of the world’s most famous water parks, Siam Park.

4. Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Average high temperature: 25°C
Average flight time: 4.5 hours
Hotel we recommend: Hotel Pocillos Playa

November is a wonderful time to visit lovely Lanzarote! It’s another of the sunny Canary Islands jam-packed with stunning resorts and exhilarating things to do. Naturally, when you’re getting your plans in place, you need to consider where is hot in November. One of the great things about Lanzarote is that you can expect high temperatures pretty much all year round!

This island has all the components of a fantastic sunny getaway, with the added charm of unique and simply breath-taking scenery. Its swanky resorts and unspoiled beaches have a backdrop of towering silver mountain peaks and a beautiful National Park filled with volcanic rock formations. It’s something a little different to the norm, and the mountainous regions offer plenty of adventure on your holiday if you ever tire of lazing by the pool.

5. Agadir, Morocco

Average high temperature: 25°C
Average flight time: 3.5-4 hours
Hotel we recommend: Riu Palace Tikida Taghazout

Agadir is a picturesque city on the southern coast of Morocco, in the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Conveniently, November is a great time to visit! It’s known to be a fabulous spot for winter sun, which is why it just had to make our list. If endless sunbathing and laid-back beach vibes are your thing, you’ll feel right at home in this pretty, chilled and hot corner of the world.

Some of our favourite things to do in Agadir include getting a slice of history at the hilltop kasbah, soaking up the sun (and the gorgeous scenery!) at Agadir Beach and trying out the variety of delicious restaurants on the waterside promenade. Those looking for a holiday that will give them that much needed down-time will love floating through the days on their trip to Agadir.

6. Paphos, Cyprus

Average high temperature: 25°C
Average flight time: 4.5 hours
Hotel we recommend: TUI Blue Atlantica Bay

The Mediterranean island of Cyprus has always been a favourite of ours. Paphos is a popular city on the southwestern coast and November is the perfect time to explore it. There’ll be plenty of sun, an abundance of swish hotels to choose from and beautiful coves and bays perfect for topping up your tan. If you’d like a relaxing break with good food and zero stress, take our advice and head to Cyprus!

When you’re not lounging on a beach or sipping cocktails by the pool, you can go on your own little adventure in Paphos and the surrounding areas. Legend has it, Paphos was the birthplace of the ancient Greek goddess, Aphrodite. Many visitors like to visit the beach where she was said to emerge from the sea, or up the action and visit the Aphrodite Waterpark.

7. Benidorm, Costa Blanca

Average high temperature: 20°C
Average flight time: 2.5 hours
Hotel we recommend: Rio Park

Many people simply think of Benidorm as cheap and cheerful, and it’s true! But there’s so much more to this vibrant coastal resort than originally meets the eye. Although November is out of peak season, the exciting nightlife stays open year-round and the gorgeous golden beaches are the perfect place to lap up some winter sun.

Whether you want to take in delicious food and drink, dive into some thrilling water sports or even get involved in a traditional fiesta, there’ll be something to keep you busy on your November getaway. Benidorm is known for its fun and lively side, but there’s also plenty of time to wind down on your trip by glistening pools or rolling waves. Get the best of both worlds on one brilliant holiday!

8. Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt

Average high temperature: 28°C
Average flight time: 5.5 hours
Hotel we recommend: TUI SENSATORI Resort Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm El Sheikh is known for its tropical sea life, blazing sun and spectacular beaches. Those who simply want sun, sand and sea will not be disappointed with a trip to Sharm! It may be a little further to travel than some of our other top destinations, but it sure is worth it. Its location on the colourful coast of Africa means hot weather is practically in the bag whenever you visit!

Many people visit this pretty part of Egypt solely to scuba dive. It’s one of the top resorts in the world for impressive coral reefs and diverse wildlife, so there’s no wonder it’s such a hot spot! Whether you’re a beginner intrigued about life under the sea, or diving among the fish is an essential part of any holiday for you, Sharm El Sheikh is a winning destination.

Are you ready and raring to book a sizzling November getaway? Who could blame you?! Take a look at some of our favourite deals and prepare to go up, up and away in just a few short weeks.

We are hoping to go to Lanzarote, last week in Nov with a 6,5 and 2 year old.

so far we are thinking playa blanca. Would love princess yaiza but probably couldn’t stretch to it.

can anyone recommend anywhere that they have stayed and we’re happy with?

we have never been out of Ireland before with kids so this will be a first for us.

Are we mad? I am hoping we will love it and have some great memories.

i would really appreciate any recommendations for hotels, apartments and general info.

thinking maybe b & b or half board. Won’t be out late but might have a glass of wine or 2 when the kids are asleep.

another question for those that have been at this time, will it be warm? Like shorts and t shirts fir the kids? Hoodies in the evenings?

sorry for all the questions, just excited for our new adventure.

TIA

Are u dead set on Lanzarote and/or tied to November. .?
Ive been with my smallies and tbh if u could manage it id perhaps go to somewhere like Majorca in September.
Temperatures will be much higher and Lanzarote is a long flight (4+hrs) with 3 smallies.
We did it a few yrs ago when i was preganant as baby was due during the Summer..
Personally i wouldnt again..kids made no friends as most of people there were retired.
The weather was shorts and t shirt weather on a few days but kids were disappointed as they couldnt stay in the pool like they normally would.
We had picked these particular apts as they claimed to have heated pools but werent when we arrived.
Lanzarote is lovely, beautiful scenery and tax free which is great-i just feel its more for couples but im sure there will be other posters who love it !!! Hth

I’d be interested in hearing other people’s opinions also. Planning holiday with my little boy who is 4 for November also. Looking for ideas on accommodation, things to do etc…

Thanks dsj. I appreciate your honesty. All opinions for and against welcome.

we are tied to end of November. We were thinking of Lanzarote as it will be a little bit warm. I am not worried about the kids making friends as they will be with us all of the time. I don’t want them to go to a children’s club as I worry about who I leaving them. And really we just want to spend the time together as a family without the pressures and responsibilities that we are tied to here. We rarely get to spend time without being responsible for other family.

Are we completely mad? I just worry that if we take our week off and stay here it would be constant phone calls and in and out all day. I just want a week off.

anyone else done Lanzarote end of Nov?

Hi,

i have never been in nov but not long back from there with a 2 and 4 yr old. It was our first time out of the country with them too. Flights were long but just kept them entertained-iPads, colourings, stickers, card games, and some treats so the time went quickly.

We stayed in matagorda in seaside Los jameos. It was near the airport and we just got a cab which was great and no waiting around at airport.

The hotel had a couple big pools and two kids pools and kids club (didn’t use) and playground etc. there was a kids disco at night and our two enjoyed the entertainment after it too. it was across the rd from the beach and had plenty of shops and bars/restaurants around it.

Even in April we needed hoodies at night. Also when the kids were asleep we’d try sit out on the balcony with a couple of drinks but would be running back in because it was cold/windy! we hired a car another day and drove around the island. Playa blanca and Puerto calero were both lovely places to go to.

Hi, We went to lanzarote last November and I have to say never again will I go in November. Not only was it freezing during the day but it rained every day. We sat by the pool in our winter jackets and wrapped in a towel. Nobody ventured into the pool even though it was a heated pool. We were also there last July and the weather was nice but not scorching hot. It wasn’t warm enough for me to go into the pools and my older 2 kids didn’t stay in for very long and my 2 babies didn’t go near the pool. Like every where the weather is changing and we’ve found its wetter and colder in Lanzarote then it used to be 6 years ago. We have 4 children ranging in ages from 10 to 2 and have never had a problem with the longer flight time. I’ve heard Gran Canaria is supposed to have better weather but having been in Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote in the winter months we wouldn’t go back.

Im the same Belle07..if i had known back then what i know now i would have saved my money and blew it on a better holiday the year after.
I presumed going it would be the same as going in Summer(ok slightly cooler)
My kids complained about the pools in fact one day my eldests lips were blue from the cold.
In fairness im not a huge fan of Lanzarote tbh..it just doesnt seem worth the long flight to go “to Spain”. I love Spain btw just in a 2 hr flight 😉

We have been to lanzarote but only in Aug and tbh even then the pools are cold. Personnel find majorca hard to beat for a family break. But would only go in Aug when water is fab. We went middle of June last year while temps were good high 20c found the water hadnt warmed up. Also ended up having to buy huddle for the eve as it got quite cool. As we only ever go in Aug never realised this.

Hi we have gone to lanazarote with our young kids for past couple of years in january. We stayed in H 10 rubicon for two years loved year one kids were 1 and 3. Year 2 found hotel not as good. The standard of the animation team completely dropped and outside kids pool had heating broken and the had changed there policy in relation to kids in the indoor pool so this was a balls.
This year I booked dream gran castillo directly with them and have got a great deal so hope it will be nice as have three kids now a baby and theother two will
be3 and 5.
Good luck with booking a holidat.

Hi, we have been going to Lanzarote for years now, once as a couple and then with kids. Always stay in Matagorda but this summer staying in Playa Blanca for the first time. We once went in November and the weather was awful to be honest. It was freezing! We went another time early October and weather was fab. I would not recommend going in November tbh.

Its a long flight so you want it to be worth it and if there’s no sun it’s definitely not! Majorca or Portugal in September would be a safer bet with a shorter flight for your first time. If you are set on Lanzarote though I think it’s a great place and lots to do for kids and very child friendly. If there’s anything I can help you with just shout x

friends of mine go to one of the canary islands every december for a week, they have been in gran canaria, tenerife and lanzarote, they love it as they are not huge fans of hot hot weather, the kids would wear the all in one swimming togs and they find it grand. Another friend of mine spends every xmas in playa blanca, lanzarote, they also love it.

U would definetly need hoodies etc for the night time as i find even in the height of summer the nights can get chilly

Hope u have a great holiday wherever u decide to go.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. I’m a bit disappointed that some of you thought it was cold, but am happier knowing that up front. I think I won’t be too disappointed once I know up front. I only want the kids to be able to run around and have some fun when we have our week of freedom. I had it in my head that it would be in the high teens during the day and cool at night. And windy, was expecting it to be windy. Unfortunately we are tied to end of Nov with work holiday and cover for other family when we are gone. Will have a look at the places some of you have stayed and ponder it for another little while.

thanks a mil

Temperatures are generally in the late teens however with the wind the real feel temperature can be as low as 10-12 degrees. When looking at somewhere to stay there make sure they have good indoor facilities incase the weather is poor so the adults are not left sitting in the cold while the kids run around.

We were there in November a few years ago & loved it, the weather was good, low to mid 20’s. It can be breezy though but def wasnt cold, wore summer clothes the whole time. It wasn’t too busy which was perfect. This year we are going to Gran Canaria in November, a friend was there last year & the weather was lovely so I’m hoping it will be the same! I know people who live there & they say Nov is normally good.

Haven’t been to lanzarote but have been to Gran Canaria & Tenerife both at the start of Dec & weather was fab both times, think Gran Canaria is supposed to have the best weather at that time of year,we stayed in the Marina Suites in Puerto Rico,GC & was fab, had a toddler with us,aparthotel & had evening entertainment, hth

For the good weather in November, the Arabs obviously paid the heavenly office a herd of camels. The last month of autumn is best spent in the Middle East. The UAE – Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Fujairah – is crowded, fun and warm, the Persian Gulf is pleasantly cool, hot sands warm the body and soul. But in November, Ramadan is celebrated here, the traditions and rules of which tourists have to respect – do not kiss on the streets and do not drink alcohol.

The season is in full swing in Egypt, on the Red Sea, but there are no flights from Russia yet. It is a little cooler in Sharm el-Sheikh, hotter – in Hurghada, during the day 25-28°C, water temperature – 25°C.

In Jordan and Eilat, Israel, you can have a nice holiday on the beach.

High season begins in Thailand, high humidity subsides in November in Phuket and Pattaya and it stops raining. However, it can still be cloudy on Koh Samui.

In November, an army of downshifters rushes to Goa, who will spend the whole coming winter under palm trees. Warm sea and air – about 27 ° C, will allow you to spend a good and short two-week vacation without moving far from the beach. Unless, on a course of an Ayurveda.

Great in Vietnam, especially in Nha Trang and Phan Thiet, and on the island of Phu Quoc. Cheap, tasty, peaceful, and most importantly – dry. You can fly with hand luggage and buy a pair of shorts and T-shirts on the spot.

Siberians love to fly to Hainan in November, the South China Sea is warm, though not always calm +25°C, the best beaches are in Yalun Bay.

The high season begins in the Seychelles, although the change of the trade winds can take a little longer and leave rainy hours in memory. But the water in the ocean is +27°С.

It is warm and comfortable in Mauritius, but not hot yet, spring is on the calendar here. At the beginning of the month, a kite festival is held, which brings together all the best athletes in the world.

Nearly ideal weather sets in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, although monsoons can still show their character. But the air is already + 30 ° С, and water + 28 ° С.

If you like something bright and unknown – fly to the ocean in Mombasa or Zanzibar, the islands of French Polynesia – Tahiti and Bora Bora and Jamaica.

For exotic destinations, the Cayman Islands are worth recommending. In addition to white sand beaches and good-natured stingrays, with which everyone is photographed, in November Georgetown hosts “Pirate Week”. This is a real “Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum”! As well as sea battles, fights, drinking parties, talking parrots, mummers and pirates! For ten whole days they will look for piastres here, have fun and dance.

The idea is so-so

Bali is nice all year round, but it rains in November. You will have to get an umbrella often, especially in the center of the island in Ubud. But you can still choose a watch for swimming.

In Turkey, in Antalya and Bodrum, although it is still sunny, the beach is more likely to walk than to swim. The bathing season is over. As in Croatia, Greece, Spain and other Mediterranean countries.

The hurricanes that hit the Caribbean in September and October have almost subsided. But the chance for tropical storms, though small, still remains. But even if it happens during the holidays, it will not spoil it much. The rains pass quickly and the sun shines again and the rum flows like a river. You can buy a tour without hesitation.

In November, those who like comfortable air temperatures of +25°C like to relax in the Canary Islands. It doesn’t get hotter. Everyone wears T-shirts and lies on the beach. The water in the ocean is invigorating at about 19 ° C, but even children bathe in shallow water. November is a great time to climb Mount Teide in Tenerife or visit Timanfaya Park in Lanzarote.

Other trips

In the very south of the planet in November, their joys – navigation has opened in Antarctica! From mid-November to mid-March, in the coastal waters of the White Continent, you can sail on small ships past the islands and even land on the mainland of the White Continent. Cruises to Antarctica are a crazy cocktail of emotions! There are untouched snows, and weather that changes insanely every five minutes, icebergs and penguins! It is hard to believe that palm trees grew here millions of years ago and it was quite warm. Now it is the coldest and driest place on the planet.

To Europe for fun and pleasure

Cologne, Mainz and Düsseldorf are especially fun in November. On November 11, at exactly 11 am, 11 minutes, the Rhine Carnival will begin. Dressed as clowns, jesters, the king’s guards walk, sing songs, drink beer and kiss according to tradition with everyone they meet, acquaintances and not. Carnival in Cologne has its own anthem Viva Cologne, with the most memorable tune in the world. In fact, although the “fifth” season has started, the main processions will be in February. And in November, the organizers need to choose the slogan of the upcoming big carnival, as well as the Prince, the Peasant and the Virgin (which must be played by a man).

Beaujolais Nouveau is celebrated on the third Thursday of November in France. Competent PR of the inhabitants of the village of Beaujolais, where the Gamay grapes grow, started in the last century, has done its job. It is customary to celebrate the new wine season with a glass of not very fine wine. Beaujolais matures quickly and can hardly compete with Burgundy or Bordeaux, but it is light and festive. In the town of Bozho, processions of costumed winemakers with vine torches will take place today. Well, exactly at midnight, barrels of Beaujolais Nouveau will be opened on the main square and everyone will start celebrating!

In November many world famous stars give concerts in Europe. Jamiroquai is on a European tour, he will sing in Manchester and Birmingham on November 2nd and 4th, then on November 8th in Amsterdam, then in Berlin on November 13th and 16th in Munich. On November 10 in Paris it will be possible to go to a Shakira concert, on November 14 in Amsterdam, on November 19 in Madrid, on November 10 Bryan Adams will uncover the guitar in Padua, then in Rome on November 14. Marilyn Manson performs in Munich November 18 and November 20 in Vienna.

Where to go for a photo session

In Europe, the wonderful time of Advent comes in November. From the end of the month everywhere, in big and small towns, Christmas markets open. The most beautiful in Austria – Vienna and Salzburg, Innsbruck, in Germany – in Dresden, Munich and Nuremberg.

Where to go on a safari in November

In all countries of South Africa, the long-awaited rainy season begins. Many lodges in Kenya, Zambia and Botswana close at this time. Those who work – offer lower prices. The weather will throw surprises, but everything around will be green and quiet, nature comes to life, many ungulates give birth to babies during this period. The best safari destination in Kenya is the Lake Nakuru area. A good safari is expected in the Masai Mara and Amboseli.

Botswana, like Namibia, is very hot, almost unbearable. Nevertheless, despite the rain and moisture, a trip to Chobe and the Okavango Delta will not disappoint.

Musuku fruit ripens in November in Zambia and the ripe fruit attracts millions of palm fruit bats. This spectacle can be seen in the Kasanka National Park. They take to the skies before sunset and sometimes spit out fruit pits

But November is the best month to visit Tanzania, there is something to see in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks.

In India, by November the water is gone and in the Kaziranga National Park, Assam, the season for watching Indian rhinos begins. The local park is home to the largest population of these pachyderms, which were on the verge of extinction at the beginning of the last century. In addition, Kaziranga is home to the world’s largest population of tigers. Safaris here are even carried out on elephants.

Skiing in the mountains

In general, it’s too early to go to the Alps. Snow has fallen, but not everywhere. Although the resorts are open, you can drive far on all the tracks. However, if you really want to, then finding glaciers and high resorts is not difficult.

In Austria, the slopes of Sölden, Pitztal, Zell am See, Obergurgl-Hochgurgl and Ischgl are the first to open.

In Switzerland, you can safely go to Zermatt, Saas-Fee,

In Italy, you need to go to Dolomiti Superski in November.

In France, it will probably already be possible to ski in Val Thorens, Tignes and Les Arcs.

The brightest events of November

November 1 in Mexico in Oaxaca, that hellish thing is going on, that still bacchanalia. Celebrate the Day of the Dead here! Invitations for the holidays are issued to everyone – both alive and not so much. On this day, they commemorate the dead and think about immortality. In Mexico, street parades of mummers take place, but in Oaxaca they light in cemeteries, and not only candles – they dance to mariachi, have picnics with the favorite dishes of the dead and decorate the graves with sugar skulls with names on their foreheads. According to the Aztec legend, those who have thrown away their souls to God are sitting in the Mictlane waiting room, and on this day they can visit their relatives and friends! Those, in turn, help in every possible way to find the way home. As signs, arches are built from orange marigold flowers, offerings are placed everywhere and special festive bread is baked – pan de muertos. And of course, pour a glass of tequila.

Every year on November 5 London is restless, all the firemen are on their toes – in the capital of Great Britain they celebrate Guy Fawkes night, the time of pyromaniacs and lovers of lights, fireworks, bonfires and firecrackers. Someone Guy Fawkes in 1605 tried to deal with members of the English Parliament in a simple way, using a barrel of gunpowder. But the plan failed, Fox was betrayed and hanged on the gallows right in front of Westminster Abbey. Fox’s effigy is burned to the hooting of the crowd, most of whom will surely not tell the story of the holiday.

Run in New York on November 5th? They’re running! About 50 thousand people annually go to the start of one of the most popular marathons in the world. Initially, the ideological goal was to unite the friendly peoples of Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island. But everything has gone too far and runners from all over the world come to the marathon, hoping to win a prize of 100 thousand dollars. Anyone can participate, but among the motley crowd of runners there will always be world marathon stars, overtaking which is not an easy task.

In Europe, at the end of November, the first candle will be lit on Christmas wreaths, preparing for their favorite holiday, which will come exactly in 4 weeks. Advent is a wonderful prelude to Christmas – markets have already opened, streets are decorated, organ concerts are held in cathedrals, and angels sing on the Town Hall Square, smoke rises over a cup of hot mulled wine and warm a hot pancake with chocolate.

Read more about Christmas pleasures in Europe here:

And in America everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving. Polite thanks are distributed in large portions to the glory of the Almighty for food and a decent harvest, which, after the hungry winter of 1621, were collected by the English colonists. On the tables, as well as 400 years ago, there are pumpkin pies, fried poultry and corn dishes. Before a meal in especially religious families, a minute of silence is arranged. In general, this is a joyful occasion to just once again meet with the family and have a delicious meal. Well, after a hearty lunch, New Yorkers rush to the annual parade, dressed up as turkeys.

The Santa Claus Winter Sports Championship ClauWau takes place in Samnaun, Switzerland on November 25th! The competitions are comic – that’s why a huge number of participants take part in them, the main thing is to have a Christmas Santa costume with you. There are several nominations in the championship program – luge, cross-country skiing and cross-country skiing, chimney climbing, donkey racing. There will also be a team championship, after which, for sure, everyone will give in hard and go to the neighboring Ischgl for a disco.

In November, people in northern Thailand think about many things while looking at the floating lights. On the full moon of the twelfth month of the Thai calendar (November 4 in 2017), Loy Krathong is celebrated. On this day, it is customary to lower boats that look like a lotus with lit candles into the water. It is believed that the river carries away all the sorrows of the past year with a twinkle. It is especially beautiful in Chiang Mai, as well as in Bangkok and neighboring Cambodia.

The end of the rainy season is also celebrated there in November. On this occasion, in Phnom Penh, in front of the Royal Palace, the Mekong is rowed in honor of the arriving waters irrigating the rice fields. The Bon-Om-Tuk festival takes place on the days of the autumn full moon. The brightest event of these days is boat races, each of which has up to 100 people! The competition lasts three days!

The Elephant Festival is held on the third weekend of November in Surin, Thailand. Hundreds of trained elephants surprise the audience with all sorts of acrobatic sketches, dances, creative competitions. The holiday is preceded by a procession of elephants dressed in beautiful blankets, treats are thrown from the crowd. Elephants also take part in sports competitions again in the arena – a tug of war and a polo match are on the program.

The wonderful Modellbahn exhibition takes place every year in Cologne and attracts thousands of enthusiastic people. At the exhibition stands, and there are more than 200 of them, they demonstrate all the achievements of the year in the mini-railway industry, present models of railways with elegant details and beautiful landscapes, and of course, locomotives with wagons. Among the exhibitors is the Lego company, which every year builds its model from plastic parts. The concentration of men at the exhibition rolls over, girls – pay attention.

On November 19, Santa Claus, Sinterklaas in Dutch, will arrive in Amsterdam. Did you know that the local Christmas father lives in warm Spain for almost the entire year before the bustling events? Grandfather has an army of black assistants, but do not think that they are negro children, they simply do all the dirty work for Sinterklaas, climb chimneys and therefore smeared themselves with soot. In Holland and along the canals of the capital, grandfather moves on a steamboat, he is clearly too lazy to bother with deer! Gifts will be given only on December 6th. Have you been good all this year, boy? And why are you laughing?

There are still places on earth where a herd of camels can be given for a beautiful woman. November 4 in Pushkar, India on the shores of a sacred lake, a cattle fair opens – it is also a religious holiday of Kartik-Purnima. During the celebrations, believers descend up to their necks into the lake in order to be cleansed of sins and filth, then they go to stare at acrobats, tightrope walkers, sword swallowers and snake charmers, and of course, at the camel rodeo. Everything in Pushkar is beautiful and very colorful, both the participants and the people themselves. In the crowd there are grimy children, and the wives of camel owners sparkling with jewels, and a bunch of crooks and swindlers.

Until November 15 in one of my favorite cities – Lucerne begins the annual blues festival! This is the largest event in Europe, which brings together all the world’s stars of this musical direction. Concerts are held at different venues, along the streets and alleys, blues is playing everywhere!

Austrian Schengen

We are planning our own trip to Austria for Christmas.

Question about documents for visa – suddenly someone has experience 🙂

1) Is it necessary to provide the Embassy with documents on payment for the hotel or is it enough to confirm the booking by fax?
2) Is it obligatory to translate documents (certificates from work and bank statements) in a translation agency or can I translate them myself?

Thanks in advance:-)

Which airline is better/cheaper to fly from Moscow to Cairo or Sharm El Sheikh?

There is an idea to fly to Egypt, meet NG there and drive to the Israeli border in a rented car, drop off the car there and hang out in Israel for a week.
How easy is such a plan: how is it in Egypt with renting a car in one place and renting it in another?

Hello chiptrip!

I really want to go to Prague for Catholic Christmas and New Year. It is desirable to be there on 25.12, back from 02.01. We need tickets (air or train – we will consider all options) and a visa.
There is where to live. So we are not very interested in the hotel.
I looked at the prices for hotels from 29.12 to 02.01 – 79 euros per person . .. to be honest, a little expensive, especially considering that we will not live there.
There are two of us.
Can you help??

October 26, 2008 @ 22:27

to the guest book
Once again, many thanks to the chiptrip and, as usual, to Anna Afanasyeva, for miraculously finding an excellent tour to Sharm just at my request at the moment when I was already desperate to find it! I liked the Sheraton Hotel, but I was unexpectedly delighted with Egypt in general and its climate)) By the way, either it seemed to me, or we flew on the same plane with Anton, no? )))

Everything was great. It turned out the best holiday)
Thank you)

Tourist’s review of the hotel SBH Costa Calma Beach Resort 4* . Rating of hotels and hotels of the world

Rested alone in

November 2012

04. 11.12 – 15.11.12

– I recommend the hotel

4.3

4 location

5- service

5- power supply

Correct review – affects rating

Hello! Before the trip, I always read the reviews of tourists on this site, I decided to write my first comment myself.

The overall impression of the hotel is pleasant.

The rooms are clean, with balconies, plumbing works without interruption, the furniture is old but comfortable, there are elevators. There are more pluses than minuses.

The hotel is large, spacious lobby and restaurant, several bars.

Vacationers are mostly Europeans, families with children, the elderly, there were no nudists.

The territory is not large and well-groomed, beautiful palm trees and flowers delight the eye. The hotel has several swimming pools with sun loungers.

Conveniently located bars near the beach and pool, where you can have a snack, drink coffee and a cocktail.

The restaurant is large, the cuisine is varied, they prepare Spanish, Italian dishes, meat, fish, seafood, delicious pastries, desserts, ice cream, delicious strawberry jam and various jams. Very tasty sausages, cheese and dairy products. Vegetables and fruits are always available. The restaurant has delicious juices, sangria, white and red wine, champagne, beer, cocktails at the bar. I had all inclusive and I only ate at the hotel.

During the day, the pool has animation, aqua aerobics. In the evening, the hotel organizes a show program.

The staff is friendly, attentive, ready to answer questions, help, they speak English.

The hotel has good souvenir shops, original silver items with pendants, lava jewelry are sold.

The beach is clean and free, there are enough sunbeds for everyone, there is no wind on the beach at the hotel – this is important, as there is a strong wind on other beaches. In some places on the beach and when entering the ocean there are stones, there are not many of them, you can see them at low tide. The water in the ocean is clean, the ocean was calm and very beautiful. I was lucky with the weather (travel period from November 4 to November 15, 2012) it was not hot, partly cloudy and comfortable water in the ocean. At first, the water seems cool, but you quickly get used to it and it is already comfortable to swim, even for 30 minutes.

As a souvenir, you can buy goat cheese – the pride of Fuerteventura and wine from the island of Lanzarote.

I liked the excursions on the island of Lanzarote, where there are 300 volcanic craters, with a visit to the Timanfaya National Park (Parque Nacional de Timanfaya.). Oasis Park is a zoo with interesting shows featuring parrots, reptiles, eagles, sea lions, there is also an open-air botanical garden where a large collection of various cacti is collected, you can ride camels, stroke, feed a giraffe and an elephant calf. I bought both excursions at a local travel agency on the street, to the left of the exit from the hotel you need to go to the street, where there are many souvenir shops and cafes, about 10 minutes. on foot. Guided tours in English and German.

A very beautiful sunrise starts around 7 am, on the beach you need to climb a small hill and you can take spectacular pictures. If you walk further along the beach towards dawn, there are beautiful views of the mountains and the beach, you need to pass by another hotel, where the waterfall flows into the pool. If you go towards sunset, you will see rocky shores, chipmunks live there, a long beach, nudists sunbathe and swim there, an impressive view of the mountains, a beach for kite and wind surfers will open. Kites can be seen from the beach near the hotel, if you look to the right into the distance, from afar it looks like a flock of birds. Fuerteventura enchanted, I would like to go there again. The hotel is recommended for a relaxing holiday. Have a nice trip!

Week 8 on the Camino. Making it to Santiago

Day 50

I leave the very quiet albergue (only 3 of us) early and don’t see a lot of pilgrims during the day, if not for a stop in Samos, in a bar where pilgrims take a break from the constant rain.
It’s still really pretty though, cool villages and beautiful forests.

I bump into Charlotte and for five minutes I think she’s French but she’s actually Finnish.
And speaks six languages.
I just hate those people who effortlessly do that when you’re struggling to learn one…
But she’s cool and we’ll meet again.

I finally make it to Sarria, which is an important place on the Camino as it’s the place where a lot of people who just want to hike the last 100km start.
So I imagine the trail will be somehow way busier from here.

Later on I meet with some friends in a bar and the Football World Cup is playing its first game.
It’s Ecuador/Quatar, Ecuador wins, which makes a Ecuadorian pilgrim very happy.
I personally don’t know the first thing about soccer and couldn’t care less if France wins or loses.
So it’s pretty boring for me for a while, and I don’t like at all having a screen on when in a bar.

But when the game is over, random pilgrims join in, including Charlotte and an American guy doing his fourth Camino, but that has to finnish tomorrow for flight logistics.
The evening is eventually a lot of fun.
I’m very aware of the reputation of the Camino for “hardcore hikers” (meaning too crowded, not wild enough, too easy, you name it…), but really there’s not another trail in the world where you can have such a blast with an international crowd.
The PCT and the Te Araroa would probably be the other trails with an international crowd, but it doesn’t even come close to the Camino experience.

Day 51

There’s some serious heavy rain and strong winds today.
I feel like my hiking season has come full circle and that I’m back in Scotland.
It doesn’t help that I have the worst hangover.

Leaving town I consider getting breakfast in a café, but if I stop I’ll never leave, so I keep walking.
I have a snack break in a pilgrim shelter where I meet a French guy who also started in Le Puy-en-Velay a few days before me.

Today we pass the marker indicating 100km left to Santiago, which is cool, but Santiago isn’t the actual end of the Camino, so there’s still 120km to go after that.

I arrive in Portomarín just before 2pm.
Karen and Joe, that I’ve seen pretty much every day for while now, are here too.
We go out for dinner and are joined later by other pilgrims, but everybody is tired from last evening, so it’s an early one.

Day 52

It rains all morning but nothing as bad as yesterday.

The trail is nothing special today, so I just push until Palas de Rei, where I stop at lunchtime and find an albergue that’s not great.
Some albergues can really be worse that others.
This one has nothing in its kitchen, no cutlery, plates, glasses, pots, nothing.
I don’t even understand why there’s a kitchen.
And no internet or signal, which is bad for me as I need to work on my phone every day.

And I also want to book a flight back since I now know when I’ll finish.
I have 2 days to Santiago and 4 more to Muxía.

I go to a bar to do my work and meet Jesus, a French guy that owns a gîte for pilgrims on the French side, near Le Puy-en-Velay.
He’s a really cool guy and it’s nice to hear about what it’s like to own a gîte.
After that I meet everybody for a beer.

Day 53

We’re treated to some unexpected good weather today.
It feels great after having so many crappy days.
I usually start to walk early, but considering the weather hasn’t been great for sunrises and that I’m now walking short days, I leave at the latest time possible, 8am (it’s usually when you’re kicked off albergues)

And it’s definitely different.
I usually don’t see a lot of pilgrims until lunchtime, but it’s very busy all day.
I walk with Jesus for a while ( the guy I met yesterday, not the other one) and make it to Arzúa where I stop for the day.

At the albergue I meet a French lady that’s shocked at the number of pilgrims.
She’s arriving from another Camino, the Primitivo.
It’s the first one and also supposed to be the most beautiful.
But it’s much quieter than the Francés, or even the Norte.
Especially in late November.

I go out for dinner with the 4 Italians and an Aussie joins us.
Speaking of Australia, there’s been a lot of gumtrees recently on trail and surely made me reminisce of my time living there.
I even caught myself looking up for koalas and birds, which was what I was doing when hiking there.
But no koala spotting in Spain. Just the occasional drop bear.

Day 54

The trail is now definitely packed, with a lot of Caminos joining here.
I stop with the Italians for lunch, and even though it was nice, I’m not sure it was a great idea to get this much wine… and shots, considering I have not only to walk but also work on the app and collect data.

I’m definitely struggling when comes the first city and I need to walk around to collect the data.

I’m the last one arriving at the albergue, in the rain.
Most people in our group are here tonight, which is nice, because it’s the last night on trail for some.
Santiago is only 10km away.
It’s only 3 of us who keep going to Finisterre and Muxía.

The Italians fight over who’s making carbonara, and we all have a nice dinner together.

Day 55

A short and easy walk for the 10km left to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
And quite magically, it’s a beautiful sunny day, which hasn’t happened in a while.
That definitely makes for a special day.

I make it to the cathedral, where I see a lot of familiar faces.
It’s also time to say goodbye to some.
I get my Compostela, a certificate you get after completing your Camino, then realise I have only 20mn before noon and the beginning of the pilgrim mass.
And you can’t get in with a backpack.
I go to the closest albergue, drop my backpack and go to the Cathedral just in time.

It’s a great moment and we’re even lucky enough to get the traditional Botafumeiro, a large incense thingie swinging at the end of a rope.
What I didn’t know is that it’s doesn’t happen all the time.
Someone tells me they only do it when someone pays 450€ (!!!!), which usually happens when big buses come and share the fee.

After that I meet everyone for lunch and it’s again a time for goodbyes.

I spend the afternoon doing my app thing, before meeting everyone for a beer.

It’s a bit weird to have 3 finishing points on this hike.
For me it definitely doesn’t feel like the end until I actually stop walking, which is still 4-5 days away.

Where is hot and sunny in November

Are you freezing at home and missing summer already?

Well, us too…

But it’s not gonna be here for at least another half a year! Yeah, I know I’ve spoiled your mood now but it is how nature works! Want to experience summer before it arrives in June? Travel somewhere where it’s hot! Where is hot and sunny in November?

To give you a few ideas, we’ve created this list with countries, where it’s hot in November.

Where to go in November for sun?

Here is a list of 5 great destinations:

1. Tenerife, Canary islands

Tenerife is the largest and most populated island of the seven Canary Islands. Also it’s one of the most popular holiday destinations for Europeans. And actually it’s the only place where to go in November in Europe for that summer feeling.

The weather is pleasant all year round, and November is no exception. That is why Tenerife is known as the Island of Eternal Spring. However, water in the ocean might seem too cool (22°C) for some to swim. But… it’s cool almost all year round, due to island’s location (in the North Atlantic).

Renting a car in Tenerife is the best way to see this beautiful island. That way you’ll be able to visit not only the most popular tourists spots that can get crowded but also authentic small towns and villages. Tenerife is also a great place for hikers. There are several great trails in Tenerife, and not to mention UNESCO protected Teide National park! It is home to mount Teide, the most iconic landmark of Tenerife and the world’s third largest volcano.

Don’t miss Loro Park. According to Tripadvisor it’s one of the best zoos in the whole world! And of course, Tenerife boasts beautiful beaches with sands ranging from yellow to black!

2. Ko Lanta, Thailand

Where is hot and sunny in November? In Thailand.

Thailand is one of the hottest countries in November. If you want to enjoy plenty of sunshine without the intense humidity and heavy rain go to Ko Lanta, an island on Thailand’s Andaman coast. The monsoon season is over by November in Ko Lanta, so it’s a good time to visit this island before the peak tourism season starts in December.

In November weather is nice in Ko Lanta. Temperature can reach up to 31°C at the hottest point of the day, dropping down to around 24°C in the evening. Water temperatures are in the very high 20°C’s. Ko Lanta boasts beautiful beaches, and it’s possible to go island hopping and snorkelling from Ko Lanta island. Go to any local tourist office to book an island hopping tour. Or ask at your hotel!

Anywhere you go in Thailand, you definitely must try Thai massage!

“Thailand has a long and impressive history of traditional massage, a therapeutic practice with origins in Chinese and Indian medicine. Many Thai people regularly use massage as part of their general health regime to relieve stresses and tensions. After experiencing an authentic massage in Thailand, you’ll never be satisfied with the comparatively overpriced and feeble massage therapies of western day spas. ” (Source: lonelyplanet.com.)

Thailand visa. Citizens of most European countries don’t need a visa to travel to Thailand. Passport is stamped at the airport, and a person can stay in Thailand for a period of up to 30 days.

Exception: Citizens of Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania and Malta need a visa to travel to Thailand. Citizens of these countries can get visa on arrival at international airports, or can just apply for a Thai Tourist Visa in advance.

3. Goa, India

November is a relatively quiet month in Goa, before the peak tourism season starts in December. Average temperature is 28°C, with highs of 34°C. As the rainy season ends in October the chance of rain is low.

If you are looking for a relaxing and calm beach holiday, head to south Goa. If you prefer to party go to the north and stay on beaches in Anjuna, Baga or Vagator.

Don’t miss Old Goa, the former capital of Portuguese India, and Dudhsagar waterfalls!

Indian visa. European Union citizens can apply for an e-Visa. It should be done at least four days in advance of the date of arrival.

4. Florida, USA

Florida, known as “The Sunshine State”, is a very popular destination both for Americans and international tourists, and deservedly so! It’s also among the best places to go in November.

Among Florida’s top places to visit are Disney World and Universal studios in Orlando. But, it’s more to it than just that – Florida boasts beautiful beaches, pleasant weather all year round and great shopping and nightlife spots.

Also don’t miss the Florida Keys, which are a string of tropical islands off southern tip of Florida, known for Ernest Hemingway Home and great snorkelling spots!

The average daytime temperatures in November are around 25°C, and the minimum temperatures drop down to 14°C during the evening.

Renting a car in Florida is the best way to see this beautiful state. The main reason why – it is so big, and car is the best way to travel around if you want to manage to see more than just two major cities – Miami and Orlando.

“The state of Florida is roughly the size of England and Wales, covering an area of approximately 65,578 square miles.” (Source: visitflorida.com.)

Visa. European Union citizens are required to obtain an electronic authorisation (ESTA) in order to visit the United States! Even though sometimes you may get it in less than a minute, it’s recommended to apply for ESTA at least a few days in advance. Or better – when you decide that you want to travel to America.

5. Cape Verde (Cabo Verde)

Cape Verde, a volcanic archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa, is one of the most underrated winter destination. Yes, it’s a less-known place but it doesn’t mean it’s a bad place to go! It is one of the best destinations where to go in November for sun!

Stunningly beautiful Santo Antão is popular among hikers and adventure travellers. Fogo island is another great place to visit. Its most iconic landmark is active volcano Pico do Fogo.

Canaries: Climate & Weather

The climate of the Canaries is very mild from one end of the year to the other, with temperatures of 18 ° C on average in winter and 24 ° C during summer. It is obviously warmer on the beaches than in the mountains, and the southern islands generally offer a subtropical climate.

On the whole, rainfall is rather rare, but there is more precipitation on the northern faces of the mountainous islands. In summer, the sirocco can blow intense and cover everything with dust, especially in the eastern islands.

You can therefore visit the Canary Islands all year round, avoiding December and February if you want to avoid crowds and high prices, but also full summer, for the same reasons.

The most splendid periods are spring and autumn.

Benidorm is a popular destination to visit all year round and there’s plenty to enjoy in the winter months. Not many people will want to brave a dip in the sea, but there’s more to Benidorm than the beach. We’ve rounded up a few of the best things to do if you’re visiting out of season.

This landmark sits above Benidorm at a spot famous for incredible panoramas. The 45-minute hike to get there can be gruelling in the summer months, as there’s little shade. Cooler months like November are perfect for getting out and seeing the sights, as while you won’t be melting there are still plenty of gloriously sunny days.

Another of Benidorm’s famous landmarks, this one’s good to visit all year round. The checkerboard terrace with its sugary white balustrades is found on the headland between Benidorm’s two beaches, at the site where Benidorm’s castle once stood. It’s the perfect place to gaze out to sea or grab some seriously enviable panoramic photos.

Benidorm is best known for sun, sea and sangria, and there are still plenty of places to soak up all this in November when temperatures are still pleasant. Many of the bars along the promenade get lots of sun in the afternoon, but one of the best spots is above the Balcón del Mediterráneo where the terrace bars stay open throughout November and December, and often become a suntrap in the afternoons.

Amazing Spanish cuisine can be enjoyed at any time of year and, though Benidorm isn’t known for its authentic cuisine, there is a perfect spot tucked away in the Old Town. Calle Santo Domingo, better known as Tapas Alley, is a small covered walkway lined with small bars offering everything from wine and tapas to a blowout meal. It’s not the tourist trap you might imagine, with plenty of locals stopping by for a drink and tapa any night of the week.

It doesn’t rain often in Benidorm, but if you do get a grey day on your trip there’s no better way to spend it than indulging at one of the many spas in town. Try the hydrotherapy circuit and pool at the local institution Benicaldea, or go for one of the several highly-rated Thai massage parlours in town, such as the small but popular Sawasdeeka at Playa Levante.

If you’re in Benidorm in the run-up to Christmas you’ll find all kinds of unique gifts to take home, from wine and sausages to boutique fashion. Benidorm has its share of designer shops, but one of the best shopping areas is around the Old Town, with its mix of high street names and local sellers.

if you feel like a day trip from Benidorm, there are still plenty of options in the winter months. In fact it’s a better time to go hiking and biking around the countryside, as many routes lack shade. The huge natural park right next to Benidorm, known as Sierra Helada, has all kinds of scenic routes to suit whether you’re an experienced hiker or have never put on a pair of walking boots before.

In Candelaria, for example, the 15th of August is not only the feast of the Assumption, but also a pilgrimage in honour of the Virgin of Candelaria (Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria), who is not only the patron saint of the town, but of the entire archipelago.

La Laguna also holds the Fiestas del Santísimo Cristo de La Laguna (Fiestas del Santísimo Cristo de La Laguna), which is unique to the town, from 7 to 14 September. People from all over Tenerife travel to La Laguna to watch the traditional military parade and the great procession that ends in a huge firework display above the plaza.

The capital of the island, Santa Cruz, celebrates a popular fiesta every year on July 16th, the Fiesta de Nuestra Senora del Carmen, with a procession through the city.

The carnival in Tenerife is worth a special mention. Should you be in the process of booking your holiday in Tenerife, you should consider being in Tenerife at the end of February/beginning of March for the carnival season. The colourful and dazzling carnival is the biggest carnival in the world after Rio de Janeiro and with its exciting parades with “Murgas” (singing groups) and “Comparsas” (dance groups) an absolute holiday highlight!

    The Kirker Music Festival, Tenerife

    Overview

Escape from the rigours of the British winter for a week of music-making in the sub-tropical Canary Islands. We return to Tenerife for our sixth festival, staying at the splendid Hotel Botanico surrounded by lush gardens in Puerto del la Cruz. Mass tourism is confined to an area far away from where we will be staying, and our tour will show you the island’s unspoilt volcanic landscape, well-preserved colonial villages and lush gardens. A visit to the Mount Tiede National Park is one of the highlights of a fascinating week.

In addition to our programme of concerts at the Hotel Botanico there will be a number of included excursions taking in the best of the island’s unspoilt north coast. We will visit the Sitio Litro Orchid Garden in Puerto de la Cruz, with its wonderful collection of more than three hundred varieties, followed by a visit to All Saints’ Church which has been serving the British community for more than a hundred years, where Christopher Monckton will give an organ recital. A visit to Mount Teide National Park will show us the island’s volcanic interior, and we will take a cable car to the summit at 3,718m from which there are breathtaking views of the island. We will also drive along the spectacular north coast route to Maca, a tiny village clinging to a steep ravine, and to Garachico with its 17th-century Franciscan convent. There will also be some free time to make visits on your own: La Oratava is a picturesque small town nearby and Tenerife’s Botanical Garden is located opposite the hotel.

Spain, Tenerife island – “Autumn holidays”

Rested in Puerto de Santiago on autumn holidays in November with children. Hotel Laguna de Cesar 4 stars, swimming pool. I liked it very much. The hotel is small, cozy, there were buffet breakfasts and dinners (it was enough for us because during the day we traveled somewhere ourselves or took excursions, and some excursions were with feeding). Of course, before buying a ticket, I, like everyone else, first of all studied the reviews of tourists, the weather, hotels and what to see there. In general, there is a lot of information on this, but I want to add something, maybe it will come in handy for someone. nine0003

    1. We decided to go – don’t worry about the weather, you can swim in the south and southwest of the island all year round! (only 7 days a year it rains, the rest is a gentle sun, a soft warm breeze, but not a wind). If the ticket is in the winter, you need to take light things on the plane so that when you arrive “do not stand on the pavement in skis shod”. On the way back, you can take warm clothes in hand luggage.

    2. If you plan to rent a car, do it in Russia 2 weeks before your trip. The closer the time to your departure, the less likely it is to book a cheap car. There are Russian-speaking firms in Tenerife. When you conclude an agreement, be sure to take a picture of the “battle wounds” of the car so that there are no problems during the delivery. nine0003

I booked at Favorit, they also rented a Russian-language navigator. More than once I caught myself thinking, it’s good that I took it. Roads in Tenerife with junctions, overpasses, a lot of rings, on the highway to read the inscription in a foreign language, when you go at a speed of 100 km / h, it was difficult for me.
It is not allowed to drive on the expressway less than 60 km/h. They can be fined. It is profitable to buy double tickets, if you plan to visit more than one park, take a double ticket (Twin ticket) – it will be cheaper. With a double ticket, the parks do not have to be visited on the same day. nine0003

At the hotel on the first day we were met by a guide, he took applications for excursions and issued tickets, we did not see him again. (all excursions are paid additionally)

    4. The Butterfly Park was closed.

    5. Excursion to Tenerife Pearl (pearl shop) is generally good, I even won a free entry in the lottery – “get yourself a pearl”. In my presence they opened a living shell, took out a pearl. Already at home, I decided to examine the sink and its contents more closely. What a surprise it was: – the sink was glued with ordinary silicone glue! Earrings and pendant bought there, as well as my natural pearl turned out to be not natural (((In Spain, Mallorca produces the highest quality artificial pearls.

    6. Do not take stones from the volcano! They are radioactive, there may be problems when boarding a plane.

    7. Offer from “Favorit Trio” for car rental, promised 50% discount in “Aqualand” and “Park of Eagles” – Not valid.

    8. If you want to go through the parks quickly (Siam Park, Jungle Park (Eagle Park), Loropark, Aqualand) at home, print out diagrams indicating the time of attractions. The time 11.00 -14.30 means that the performance will be at 11.00 and 14.00 (i.e. 2 times in total)

Please note that when the parks close at 19.00, ATTRACTIONS CLOSE at 17.00. Out of ignorance, we didn’t get on the waves and the children’s town ((((

In Siam Park, it’s scary to slide down the biggest hill, but it doesn’t hurt (it feels like a massage chair))) All decorations must be removed before descending.

In Loro Park at the show killer whales TAKE a raincoat, or a swimsuit (as my child did) because the first 15 rows, and this is almost the entire hall, are generously watered with water by cheerful animals. 0003

In the Eagles’ Park, wear comfortable shoes and sportswear. On the cable car in a dress and platform shoes, I could hardly keep up with the children, and the shoes fell into holes more than once and tried to jump off a 5-meter height, while the dress swelled and threatened to rise above my head.

In Aqualand, when buying a sun lounger (2 e.), you get a ticket, it gives you the right to see the life of dolphins for free (a separate building is located near the show). Tickets are more expensive inside the building.

    9. We have been to 3 beaches. It was impossible to swim in Papaya de la Arena, there were always waves, but where there were breakwaters, they splashed in plenty!

    10. Pizza in the cafe is very big, order one first. Delicious coffee with cognac and condensed milk – Barakito. For children, coffee with condensed milk – Leche-Leche. Wi-Fi in the cafe can be used for free, ask at the bar for a password. Internet access is not available in all cafes, you have to ask.

    11. All wines are dry (sour), I don’t like them. If you want to choose a good wine, you should go for a tasting in Los Vinos. nine0003

    12. Take money with the calculation of 50 Eur. day. (we got 40 for 12 days + 250 car rental for 10 days). This included 6 excursions (about 800s), buying souvenirs (3-5 E. each), good wine (from the excursion) + palm honey (about 120s), pearl jewelry (about 400s), small purchases for children, things, products, 1 time cafe with pizza, coffee and hamburger (about 150s). Each park offered photos with animals (from 5 to 20 e for 1 photo).

    13. Delivered from Tenerife – Palm honey (tastes like watermelon) – they say it helps with fatigue diseases. Wine Malvasia (we took Ekaterina 2, we liked it very much at the tasting, the Sangre del drago liqueur has a semi-sweet taste and Babozo changes the taste). We also bought the book Tenerife in Russian – 7 e.

    14. There are a lot of Russians in Tenerife, there is always someone to ask or talk to)))

Tenerife is a place where you want to return again.

UAE or Tenerife for autumn holidays?

Girls who are special, help me choose. Tenerife – already been twice, everything is fine, we will get Schengen for half a year (consider, it will be much easier with skis in winter). But the Emirates attract. We eat together with my daughter, by hotels: UAE – Le Meridian in Fujairah or Jebel Ali in Dubai. In Tenerife – Grand Takande or Duke (if there is enough money). Thanks

facing the same dilemma! I tend to Tenerife for the autumn holidays, and in Dubai for NG. We have never been to Tenerife, but we simply adore Dubai. Fujairah, to be honest, did not really like it. Have you been to those hotels that you indicated for Tenerife? Good?

If you decide to go to the UAE, it is better to go to Jebel Ali. In Fujairah, you will die of boredom together with your daughter. And from Jebel Ali it is easier to get to civilization and entertainment, and their territory is good.

Yes, we were in Tokand – we liked it. Duke is great, but expensive. We are not afraid of boredom. Another question, is it worth paying for the emirates flight? nine0003

It’s so warm in the UAE in November! How about in Tenerife?

was last year in Dubai, just at the end of October/beginning of November. In my opinion, it was unrealistically hot, air 37, water 32, humidity is crazy, the UAE is suitable for me in winter (in February I liked it very much, this winter there again!)
I would probably choose Tenerife, I am in love with this island forever, and the climate, in my opinion , it’s better for a child …
is definitely not a pity to pay for emirates !!! tested on my own experience! nine0009 PS: but I myself am tormented by autumn. holidays between Israel and Jordan…

and we are UAE fans. Were in Tenerife once, vowed for the rest of my life. Not mine. But we have already been to the UAE 5 or 6 times and we will definitely go again. We travel only to Dubai, Jumeirah. We usually go in March. But at the end of October, the weather will probably be similar. It’s great there!

OK, while we are eating in the UAE

To be honest, I am not delighted with Tenerife .. I fell in love with the UAE right away … in October we fly back to Dubai, asked my husband, maybe try Tenerife again in October? My husband said, no, you can’t lure me there anymore … this island is not ours. nine0003

It’s cold there, 22 degrees on average. My child even got sick that year after swimming in the pool, with a temperature. And the hotel, if anyone is in Tenerife with children, Las Palmeras h20, I advise. We liked it.

What kind of entertainment is there for children? How is the sea?

and for me it’s very comfortable… my children never got sick after swimming in the pools or after swimming in the ocean.

depending on the purpose. for the impressions of Tenerife, of course, but if you have been there more than once, then you can, of course, just lie on the beach in the UAE, but it’s really boring there. By the way, in Le Meridian in Fujairah, there are almost always particles of oil in the sea. nine0009 Why do you limit yourself only to these countries?

please tell me, I’m just curious, but what can make you a fan in the Emirates? especially compared to the stunning beauty of the island of Tenerife?

    From the warm sea/ocean.

Aren’t there more interesting places with a warm ocean? I wonder why people are fans.

Where else to go in autumn? To keep warm and not fly for more than 5-8 hours? Here, about oil,
is a little annoying. By the way, about the temperature of the water, it’s as lucky. We were last in the Canary Islands in August and the water was invigorating (2009)

Cyprus is good at this time. There is really a problem with oil, we didn’t even swim for a couple of days.

Cyprus weather tape. And then we were there even more times than in Tenerife

Well, go to the Emirates then. Just don’t expect anything like that from them, lie down on the beach and well

+ I don’t understand either. if there was no sea of the ocean, what should I do? I’m not a fan of sitting in a hotel all day, had breakfast and left the hotel until the evening … why go out there?

We, for example, are fans of the Caribbean and Thailand. But, if we compare the Canaries, in particular Tenerife with the Emirates, then the latter benefit a lot. In Tenerife, yes, the ocean is beautiful, but terribly cold, and then I don’t like city beaches, I like private good beaches at hotels, I love sand, I love high-class service in hotels, the warm sea, children love good pools … even one circumstance I don’t like that in Tenerife you need to take towels from hotels with you to the beach. It may be a beautiful island, but far from the dream island –

What if there are children who sleep during the day? Then you need to return to the hotel after dinner for sleep. Tenerife is suitable for families with children of primary school age, but not for two-year-olds.

You can swim in the Emirates, it will be warm, and this is the main thing when traveling with children. There is entertainment, all sorts of parks, water parks. Women can still go shopping in autumn in Hainan, then food for the little ones will not work there, though.

Well, yes, the taste and color, as they say, there are no comrades. We were there several times with the children, because it is not far to fly. So I like it, there are a lot of entertainments for children. Yes, and Europe, good service and medicine. But the Atlantic cannot be compared with the Indian Ocean, so this time we are thinking somewhere far away. And my children don’t want to get out of the sea (pool) for hours, so it’s better for us where it’s warmer. Vietnam type or Thailand.
    nine0003

I am facing the same dilemma, but I have a 10-year-old and a 2-year-old. Of course, it would be more interesting with the older one in the Canary Islands, but everyone dissuades me with a 2-year-old. And how can I compare prices? I was neither there nor there, so I have a very vague idea of the compared objects ((

    it seems that we are

but how is the weather in Israel at this time? and what is better with children or without?friends divided into two camps: some say that children should not be dragged to Dubai (restaurants, trips, etc.) others –
resort for children. Ours are 4 and 7 years old.

Were both there and there, it seems to me that in the Canaries it is more expensive and the service is worse, as well as almost everywhere in Europe – We rested here and there in 5 stars. This October, they bought Dubai again, only the hotel is different. Tenerife has a very cold ocean, mine did not swim. In the Emirates, we sat for hours in the sea and in the pools. My 5 and 2.

of course, of course. Pakistani service in the UAE is much better than European. Pakistanis will serve you well and they will say a good word after you.
    nine0003

they say very well, but I’m going for the first time myself, I’ve been to Hurghada on these dates, air is 30, water is 28, in Eilat I don’t think it will be much cooler

the best children’s holiday. And where should adults go in Dubai? Only restaurants, shopping. The history of the Emirates began only in 1971. Do you know a joke about this country? One Arab began to dig a hole, and from there a fountain of 95 gasoline gushed out. This is how the Emirates came into existence. Take an interest in the autumn prices for Al Qasr and, if it suits you, go ahead! nine0003

Is it more expensive in the Canary Islands than in Dubai? Can you tell me the name of the hotel in Dubai?

Don’t go for the price. Lioness, I was looking for you there, 2 questions, is it worth paying for Emirates. And if there is one day in Dubai – where to take a 7 year old child. Thank you

Well, for example, last year we rested in October in Kempinski, Lufthansa flight, 10 days, for our family (two adults and two children almost 2 and 4) we paid about 3 thousand euros. If we fly to Tenerife or Grand Canaria, for example, to the Sheraton, our family will have at least 5 thousand (the same season). This October we are flying to Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa, Emirates for 11 days (children are already 2!!! and 5) paid 2800 euros. nine0003

I think it’s because in the Emirates you can stay with two children in a regular room, but in Spain only in a family room. We are flying from Germany.

I really like this Hilton, have a good holiday!

Tell me, what kind of diet makes sense to take, if at dinner we like to drink a bottle of beer, and in the evening a bottle of wine?
The child is small, respectively, the days are tied to the hotel and daytime sleep.

We always take only breakfast. I don’t have lunch or eat ice cream or fruit or drink coffee. The husband usually dine in a restaurant on the beach or orders in the room, he also likes to drink beer in the afternoon. The older child has lunch with him, the younger one drank only milk before going to bed last year, but he has a hearty breakfast, I don’t know how he will be with him this year. We dine in different restaurants, we go to the main one, if the theme of the dinner suits us, we often dined in Italian. nine0003

Are there beach hotels in the UAE like in Turkey for all inclusive? If there is, then where? And then I have a feeling that all the city hotels are there …

Jumeirah – an area of beach hotels, very expensive. You can also see the Marina district, but I hardly know it. All inclusive in the UAE almost never happens. It makes no sense, simply, no one is sitting in a hotel. Everyone drives to the city, and to the beaches, and so they go to restaurants.

I was in the UAE for the first time 8 years ago. Then the husband rented an appart on Sheikh Zayed. After 8 years, “our” skyscraper looks the smallest on this street. We have been to Dubai already 15 times, only we were passing through there. This is already some kind of mania, I feel so good there. Where do you rest with your children?
    nine0003

We were just fine with the children: a children’s club with Russian-speaking nannies, excursions (for example, we went on a jeep safari), the Dubai Mall has a super interesting Kidzania children’s park, an aquarium of several floors and an oceanarium, you can climb the Burj tower al-khalifa. Food at the highest level.

Just the hotel Le Meridian in Fujairah is a beach hotel, it is more convenient to take all inclusive, because there is nothing outside the hotel. It takes 1.5-2 hours from the airport to Fujairah. We were in this hotel on New Year’s Eve in 2008. nine0003

We also want to fly to the UAE in October. Children (two) 6 years and a year and 8. Recommend hotels 4 or 5 stars. please!

Yes, Emirates is worth it. By the way, there is no difference in price between Aeroflot and Emirates, but flights on Aeroflot are more convenient for me, and with baggage (by weight), Emirates, of course, is better (they allow you to pay extra for luggage, not repacking). For prices – I agree, very cool in November.
I would visit Creekside Park in Dubai or KindZania (in Dubai Mall) with a 7 year old.

Question for me? I’m in Al Qasr, also a mania, also the best vacation.

Yeah, I wonder where you go with your child. Vile Wadi nra, hotel kids club/pool, sea. I saw a large children’s park opposite the Grand Hyatt, have you been there?

As far as I know, in all countries of the world (or almost in all) expensive hotels – usually only at breakfast. Recently they have started offering breakfast and dinner. About “all inclusive” in Dubai – did not hear. And below you have already been answered – this is Jumeirah (well, mostly). nine0003

We usually go to Kindzania, Atlantis (aquariums and the “Lost World”), we go to the zoo (but in the suburbs of Dubai), Val Wadi (almost every day – he is on the territory of the hotel, where we usually relax, and guests of Madinat Jumeirah Free admission). I really like Creekside Park (similar to the Experimentarium Museum of Natural Sciences, but in a more worthy version). But everything (except for the water park) – in the evening, after 16.00. Recently, they have loved to dine at Burj al Arab (Sail) once or twice a week – the child has grown up, it became interesting to him: the fountains at the entrance, the view from the windows and the general surroundings – a kind of luxury lover is growing. You can, of course, walk every day – if you have free funds. Also in the evening we like to walk around the territory of our hotels – a fabulous place: to ride a boat, to have dinner in Jumeirah Beach – it is very beautiful and tasty there + a ride on a transparent high-speed elevator. Over the past year, the child has become interested in the surrounding landscapes, people, environment – in general, grows up, and rests “like a big one”! For example, not everyone understands our new entertainment (let me remind you – a child of 7 years old): come to a bar, order tea and listen to the pianist playing the piano. I was ready to come at least every evening – unusual, you must admit: a 6-7-year-old boy is sitting, holding his breath, listening to classical music. Then he begged to order flowers for the girl as a gift – I liked it so much! Ordered and donated. nine0003

KidZania at Dubai Mall? Creekside Park, I’ll take note. I remember the old zoo there, I don’t like it, I feel sorry for the animals. They say there is a great water park in another Emirate. My music is smooth, I like to dance with the locals on the islands

Thank you, Aeroflot is cheaper now. And Creek side, what is it?
Off. Did you also go to first grade? Good luck

We looked at Aeroflot and Emirates for May – it was the same.
Creekside Park – like our Experimentarium, only ours – like 2+, and in Dubai – like 5-deluxe. Here, look – there is a children’s city – http://www.childrencity.ae/CHCITY
Yes, my son is a first grader. I don’t know what to do now – quit my job?

    Which Emirates are you considering?

Kindzania in Dubai Mall + marine zoo in the same place + aquarium + entertainment center in the same place. Zoo – in Al Ain: http://awpr.ae/en/Pages/Home.aspx – very good, ALL air conditioned.

Wow, we were still in the old zoo, it was awful. The cages are small, the animals all fuck. Crocodiles mate, the male turtle yells at the whole zoo, copulating with a turtle 2 times smaller than himself. We approached the gorilla, he, the infection, hid and abruptly rushed to the net. Scared us a lot! nine0009 We have been to the Sea Zoo many times, I really like the manti there.

is very simple. In March, there are not many places where you can already swim. The road to the UAE is not too long. It makes no sense to fly for 1 week of vacation to distant lands (10-15 hours). It remains the choice of Canary Islands or the United Arab Emirates. It’s cold in the Canary Islands. We go in March just for the sun, the sea, swimming, so that summer begins with us. And actually for entertainment (parks, excursions, etc.) we go in the summer, when the whole world has a choice, because. vacation for 2 weeks.
